Evaluación de la condición del pavimento del sector el Valle y su marco sostenible

The pavement network in El Valle, it is constituted by a flexible and rigid pavement but the roads are not pavemented. This road network represents the main source of communication for those who live around to perform their daily business activity. Thus, their health could be affected by vehicular circulation. The constant braking in vehicles, because of the road deterioration, produce toxic substances harmful for individuals’ health. In order to establish a real condition of the roads, a functional evaluation of the network was performed. This provides the superficial state of the pavements which is evaluate by the user. Moreover, an evaluation of the pavement by nondestructing testing was done as well. This represents a sustainable and acceptable manner to determine which type of maintenance is required. To perform the functional analysis, three methods will be used for pavements roads: Pavement Condition index(PCI), Windshield Pavement Condition Index, and the pavements Road accreditation form supplied by MTOP. On the other hand, for the non-pavements road: Unsurfaced Road condition index (URCI) and Paser Manuel-Gravel Roads. These methods provide a complete evaluation to define diverse pathologies and a correct score to make the decisions. The obtained results, using the various methods discussed above, will display the real state of the road. This will help to establish a road management system which consist of optimization, prioritization, and hierarchy of the network in order to define solutions for future interventions.
