The purpose of this research project is to establish whether there is a violation of the Right to Legal Security, at the time that sexual crimes against girls, boys and adolescents have been declared imprescriptible, action taken by means of the referendum of 04 February 2018, whereby different legal institutions are analyzed, which are conceptualized and have an intimate relationship with the Right to Legal Security; as well as analyzing and determining if the legal institution called punitive populism or criminal populism is projected in the legal reality of the Republic of Ecuador
