Production methods for fabricating aspheric optical elements

The following is a literature survey of the production methods for fabricating aspheric optical elements. There are three classes of methods for fabricating aspherics: aspherizing from finished plane and spherical surfaces, generating aspheric curves, and processes that generate and tool in the same procedure. Also discussed are methods of aspheric figure evaluation.
