Abstract
- This PhD described a four-phased research project, using multiple methods to review and adapt an adult assessment tool, the sense_assess©, and determine its psychometric properties and applicability for use with a clinical population of children with cerebral palsy. Overall, this PhD provided evidence to support the sense_assess© kids as a feasible measure of somatosensation for paediatric use. This tool can now be used to profile the tactile discrimination, haptic object recognition and proprioceptive capacity of children with neurological disorders.
