Abstract
- A black-and-white photo of a white motorboat on a wooden wagon in front of the Great West Lumber Co. mill door. The door opens and closes along a rolling track. Four men are shown positioned around the wagon, overseeing its transportation from the mill. The men all wear hats and dark pants. One wears a vest over a white shirt; another wears suspenders. The two other men both wear dark coats. The ground mostly consists of packed dirt with little clumps of grass. Three smokestacks emerge from the left-hand side of the mill's roof. Wooden chutes and scaffolding to transport logs hug either side of the mill's structure. A black dog sits behind one of the men. Given other photos of Sternberg's, the dog appears to be the group's companion.
