Beneficiation of lump iron ore and sinter fines by the use of air-pulsated BATAC jigs.
-
Abstract
- After minor modifications in the design, the air-pulsated BATAC jig can be applied to the upgrading of intergrown iron ores (lump ores as well as sinter fines that require high separation densities to obtain marketable concentrate grades). BATAC jigs are operating successfully in two large iron ore beneficiation plants in Australia and Brazil. These plants are described with their first operational experiences.<br />After minor modifications in the design, the air-pulsated BATAC jig can be applied to the upgrading of intergrown iron ores (lump ores as well as sinter fines that require high separation densities to obtain marketable concentrate grades).
