Production of antimony compounds at Nakase smelter.
-
Abstract
- In 1952 the smelter began to import antimony ore and produce antimony trioxide. Metallic antimony was produced using a small blast furnace and a reverberatory furnace. The antimony plant has expanded continuously since then. There are now two antimony trioxide production lines, two metallic antimony lines, one sodium antimonate line and one antimony trisulphide line. About 4 700 tons of antimony compounds are produced each year.<br />In 1952 the smelter began to import antimony ore and produce antimony trioxide.
