Determination of the absolute Th-and Uabundances with calculated efficiency values of Naldetectors.
-
Abstract
- The method for determining the absolute Th-and U-abundances in rocks has been developed by calculating the absolute photpeak efficiency values of 3 in x 3 in and 4 in x 4 in Naldectectors. The efficiency values have been calculated in the y-ray energy region 0.6-3.0 MeV, taking into account self-absorption in the sample. Natural rock samples have been used. In the calculation of the efficiency values the rocks have been considered to be in a pulverised or solid form.<br />The method for determining the absolute Th-and U-abundances in rocks has been developed by calculating the absolute photpeak efficiency values of 3 in x 3 in and 4 in x 4 in Naldectectors. The efficiency values have been calculated in the y-ray energy region 0.6-3.0 MeV, taking into account self-absorption in the sample.
