Abstract
- Fluorite deposits in Turkey, associated with carbonatite and post-collisional alkaline magmatism, are located mainly in the Central Anatolian Crystalline Complex and its surroundings. Rare earth element (REE) contents between 30 314 and 15 ppm are as follows: Kizilcaoren 30 314.1 ppm, Basren Kuluncak 7 469.32 ppm, Divrici 2 061.39 ppm, Keban 553.74 ppm, Isahocali 181.35 ppm, Bayndir 179.67 ppm, Tad Deresi 176.72 ppm, Akcakent 152.43 ppm, Cangilli 128.98 ppm, Yesilyurt 96.95 ppm, Phrenk 41.85 ppm, Ovacik 41.47 ppm and Akkaya 14.87 ppm. Kizilcaoren and Basren (Kuluncak) fluorite deposits are geochemically close and consist of element associations F, Ba, Th, REE, P, Ti, Nb, Ta, Cu, Mo, Sc, Be, Sr, W, Mn and F, Ba, Th, REE, P, Ti, Mn, Hf, Zr, Nb, Ta, Be, respectively. The geochemically similar deposits of Keban and Divrici contain F, REE, Mg, K, Ba, Sr, W, Mo, Cu, Pb, Zn, As, Bi, Ag, Tl, Se and F, REE, Cu, Bi, U, Sn, As, Sb, Ag, Be, Nb, Co, respectively. Fluorite deposits with a typical F and Si association, in the Kirsehir massif, Isahocali, Akcakent, Cangilli, Bayindir and Tad Deresi are depleted in REE and incompatible trace elements, especially Nb, Ta, Eu, Hf, Th, Au. Element associations of the carbonate-hosted fluorite deposits are F, Ba, Si for the Yesilyurt deposit but F, Ba, Sr for the Akkaya, F, Si, Ba, Sr, Zr for the Phrenk and F, Ba, Sr for the Ovacik deposit. Depletion in REE and other incompatible trace elements is a typical feature for these deposits.<br />Fluorite deposits in Turkey, associated with carbonatite and post-collisional alkaline magmatism, are located mainly in the Central Anatolian Crystalline Complex and its surroundings.
