Plato and the School of Marburg. Including the interpretations of Platonic philosophy in Nicolai Hartmann and José Ortega y Gasset

The aim of this article is to present the reception of Platonic philosophy in the scientific idealism of the neo-Kantians of the Marburg school. There we find one of the most controversial interpretation of Plato. This philosopher is stripped of all metaphysics and interpreted in a logical and methodological spirit This is especially evident in the case of Plato's theory of ideas, which seeks to lose its metaphysical dimension and become instruments for seeking true and pure knowledge. In my reflections I do not limit myself solely to the presentation of the interpretation of Plato by the two founders of the Marburg school, that is, Cohen, but I also show how his 'Platonism' influences the philosophy of his disciples, including Nicolai Hartmann and José Ortega y Gasset.
El objetivo del presente artículo es presentar la recepción de la filosofía platónica en el idealismo científico de los nekoantianos de la escuela de Marburgo. Allí nos encontramos con una de las más controvertidas interpretaciones de Platón, que aspira a despojarse de cualquier metafísica y a interpretarlo en un sentido lógico y metodológico. Esto se patentiza especialmente en el caso de la teoría de las ideas de Platón, que pretende perder su dimensión metafísica y convertirse en instrumentos para buscar un conocimiento cierto y puro. En mis reflexiones no me limito únicamente a la presentación de la interpretación de Platón por los dos fundadores de la escuela de Marburgo, es decir, Cohen, sino que también muestro de qué manera su «platonismo» influye en la filosofía de sus discípulos, incluyendo a Nicolai Hartmann y José Ortega y Gasset.
