Just for the lulz: usos persuasivos del shitposting en la sociedad digital

Este trabajo busca dilucidar las narrativas que permiten un uso persuasivo del shitposting y que indirectamente ocasionan problemas de índole ética y política a través de la radicalización ideológica. Diferenciamos el shitposting del meme, señalando su carácter ideológico en contraposición al carácter lúdico que puede tener el meme. Posteriormente mostramos ejemplos de shitposting que fomentan la violencia por parte de algunos individuos, entre los que destaca la matanza de Christchurch. Del mismo modo, se aclara el carácter emocional del shitposting y se señalan algunas incidencias de carácter filosófico, como es la creación de una otredad partiendo de la difusión de ideologías racistas y xenófobas y la dificultad de establecer criterios para verificar aquello que es verdadero o no.
This paper seeks to comprehend the narratives that allow a persuasive use of shitposting and that indirectly cause ethical and political problems through ideological radicalization. We differentiate shitposting from memes, pointing out its disruptive character. Subsequently, we show examples of shitposting that encourage violence by some individuals, among which the Christchurch massacre stands out. Likewise, the emotional nature of shitposting is clarified and some philosophical incidences are pointed out, such as the creation of an otherness based on the dissemination of racist and xenophobic ideologies and the difficulty of establishing criteria to verify what is true.
