1966, Universities and Anti-communism:: background and actors of an own Cold War. The case of the University of La Plata

This article aims to reconstruct what happened in 1966 at the UNLP, both in its Student Movement and in its life and institutional organization. To this end, the 1966 situation will be taken as an episode marked by the political, ideological and cultural climate of the Cold War, whose characteristics are visualized in the policies of the military regime towards the universities. On the other hand, in the internal disputes of the Student Movement (with divergences around the meaning of the University Reform and its relation to university policy).
Este trabajo tiene por objetivo reconstruir lo sucedido en 1966 en la UNLP, tanto en su movimiento estudiantil como en su vida y organización institucional. Para ello, se tomará la coyuntura de 1966 como un episodio signado por el clima político, ideológico y cultural de la Guerra Fría cuyas características se visualizan en, por un lado, las políticas del régimen militar hacia las universidades. Por otro, en las disputas internas de un movimiento estudiantil atravesado desde la década anterior por divergencias en torno al significado de la Reforma Universitaria y su relación con la política universitaria (y en particular, el comunismo y el peronismo).
