Work and technology in the fourth industrial revolution. A challenge for education and the economy in a post-pandemic world

The purpose of this work is to analyze the fourth industrial revolution and its impact on current Latin American society based on a text published by the economist Klaus Schwab in 2016. The study was carried out through a lexicometric analysis, using the IRaMuTeQ textual analysis software, from the work of Schwab, and from various technical documents published by international organizations that seek to analyze the technological reality on the continent. The technology that was previously seen as a luxury for few, has become a reference in all areas of society, markets and industry depend on it. Likewise, we review some aspects in a small theoretical framework on the state of the art, the importance of training, its evolution over time and its role as a tool for present change. With this we were able to determine the importance of the work of Klaus Schwab in the current technological field.
El propósito, es indagar acerca de la cuarta revolución industrial y su impacto en la sociedad actual latinoamericana a partir de un texto escrito por el economista Klaus Schwab en 2016. El estudio se realizó mediante una investigación lexicométrica, por medio del software de análisis textual IRaMuTeQ, de la obra de Schwab, y de diversos documentos técnicos publicados por organismos internacionales que buscan determinar la realidad tecnológica en el continente. Dichas técnicas que antes eran vistas como lujo para pocos, se ha convertido en una referencia en todos los ámbitos de la sociedad, los mercados y la industria dependen de ello. Asimismo, revisamos algunos aspectos en un pequeño marco teórico sobre el estado del arte, la importancia de la formación, su evolución en el tiempo y su papel como herramienta de cambio presente. Con todo ello se determinó la importancia de la obra de Klaus Schwab en el ámbito laboral actual.
