Abstract

The present research is composed of two fundamental aspects: the musical analysis of the work Cristales for violin and chamber orchestra by the Ecuadorian composer Jorge Oviedo Jaramillo; and its corresponding reduction to the piano of the orchestral score that accompanies the soloist violín. In the first one, a musical analysis will be made in order to understand the essence of the composer, as well as the different musical aspects that make up the work. Consequently, the second theme feeds back on the previous one by means of the elaboration of a piano reduction that preserves the characteristics of the original accompaniment. In this way, the present work aims to offer the academic public greater options for the interpretation of Oviedo's work.
