Música ecuatoriana-fusión: interpretación en concierto

This work covers the process of realization of the concert Música ecuatoriana-fusión concert performance based on the analytical and interpretative description of the pasillo "Despedida" by Gerardo Guevara. In it, jazz is used as a tool for musical fusion, withthe purpose of exploring new sonorities, timbres and aesthetics with traditional Ecuadorian music. That is why it is proposed as a general objective: To perform a concert of Ecuadorian music fused with jazz for the graduate concert of the specialty of Musical Instruction based on the arrangements of the work "Farewell" by Gerardo Guevara. This research is based on the compilation of the works to be performed andthe analysis of the arrangement of the selected pasillo, as central material to be exhibited in this degree work. This will serve to interweave knowledge related to the performance of Ecuadorian music by applying fusions with other genres
