Emergency Care in Ent : How To Reduce Admissions.

Introduction:We have developed an ambulatory care unit on our ward at Sunderland Royal Hospital. We aimed to assess the impact of this unit on our average length of stay and our day case rate for the management common ENT emergencies. Methods: Patients presenting with epistaxis and peritonsillar abscesses in the year preceding (2014-2015) and the year post (2016-2017) the introduction of the ambulatory care unit were included.
