Study of Engineering in Medicine and Health Care. Final Report.

The focus of this summary volume reporting on several parallel studies is an application of technology to the problems of health care and the role of the university in responding to health care needs through biomedical engineering. A brief description of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) is presented. A list of reports, issued by the Committee on the Interplay of Engineering with Biology and Medicine (CIEBM) and available from NAE, is presented as well as a list of Committee, Subcommittee, and Task Group Members (1967-1973).
