This is a list of papers written for, and available from, the Council of Europe in Strasbourg on the subject of foreign language learning by adults. About 50 papers are cited, the majority of which were written by European authors. The entries are arranged in chronological order dating from August 1967 to March 1974. All aspects of foreign language teaching and learning are dealt with to some extent, including proficiency evaluation, curriculum development, teaching methods, materials development, and the psychology and sociology of language learning.
