Abstract
- Intended for use by local school districts, the manual provides guidelines for implementation of the Project APT (Application of Psychological Theory) inservice training course for teachers and administrators--a 10-week course presenting principles of reinforcement, general classroom management, objective writing, and task analysis for management of behavioral problems in the classroom. The first section reviews the goals and history of Project APT. Section 2 consists of an administrative process guide; and includes information in such areas as personnel required, steps to follow in program implementation, and a sample needs assessment survey. The 10-week course syllabus is provided in Section 3, with an explanation of the videotaping process used in training. Section 4 consists of the instructor's manual with the curriculum for each session and a copy of the test used. A guide for critique of videotapes is presented in Section 5. Section 6 provides a format for evaluation of the training program, covering such areas as goal identification, research design, selection of criterion instruments, an evaluation checklist, and copies of worksheets.
