Abstract

Contained in this manual are descriptions of the reaction of ornamental plants to diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, and viruses and mycoplasmas. Also described are insects which are associated with ornamentals. Examples of weeds found in ornamental or turf areas, such as crabgrass and chickweed, are described as well. Finally information is given on such turf diseases as pythium blight, brown patch, mushrooms, and nematode infestation. In addition, pesticide application and safety tips are given. (BB)
