The report reviews professional accounting examinations and degrees, education, practical training, and continuing professional education. The paper highlights the weaknesses in accounting education and training, and recommends measures to strengthen these areas, including the development of national and regional accounting bodies, the establishment of national accounting qualifications at both fully qualified and technician levels, and the strengthening of teaching institutions.
