Abstract

Are teachers aware of the stress in their classrooms? Do teachers plan for stress control? Educators need to understand why stress is a part of classroom life and how it affects the teacher-student relationship. Bibliotherapy can be an intervention in stress management through books. The use of appropriate reading material to help solve emotional problems and to promote mental health is known as bibliotherapy. Children's books can provide a special medium for therapeutic purposes. Appended are: (1) Resources and Beginning Card File; (2) Books about Divorce; and (3) Novels for Middle-Grade Readers.
