Abstract

Scouting continues to enjoy the cordial endorsement of school men everywhere in the US. More and more those interested are coming to see the enormous possibilities of cooperation between the scout movement and the schools. Many schools now give credit for scout work done outside of the schools. Many more are in hearty sympathy with the program as an extraschool activity. This bulletin discusses the educational work of the boy scouts. Contents of this bulletin include: (1) Scouting and the schools; (2) Scouting and citizenship; (3) The pioneer scout; (4) Seascouting, a branch of the Boy Scouts of America; (5) National Councils endeavor to discover vital facts in regard to the boyhood of the Nation; (6) International aspects of scouting; (7) Scout handbooks, organs, and other literature; and (8) Motion pictures for boys.
