Abstract

The Association for the Advancement of Computing in Education (AACE) is an international, non-profit educational organization. The Association's purpose is to advance the knowledge, theory, and quality of teaching and learning at all levels with information technology. "E-Learn 2014: World Conference on E-Learning" took place in New Orleans, Louisiana from October 27-30, 2014. The following award papers were presented at the conference: (1) Adapting Teaching/Learning Strategies for the Multigenerational Online Classroom (Darlene Baker and Angela Schmidt); (2) Perceptions of School Children of Using Social Media for Learning (Robert Blair, David Millard, and John Woollard); (3) Lessons Learned from a Two Year Implementation Project: Sustaining Student Gains with Online On-Demand Professional Development (Kelly Glassett and Steven Shaha); (4) Video Game Genres and What Is Learned from Them (Eddie Gose and Micheal Menchaca); (5) Students' Learning Outcomes and Self-Efficacy Perception in a Flipped Classroom (Mohamed Ibrahim and Rebecca Callaway); (6) Using a Design Pattern Framework to Structure Online Course Content: Two Design Cases (Priscilla Norton and Dawn Hathaway); (7) Convergence and Divergence: Accommodating Online Cross-Culture Communication Styles (Susan Simkowski and Bradley E. Wiggins); and (8) Faculty's Perceptions toward the Relationships between Pedagogical Use of Emerging Technologies and Classroom Technology Infusion (Weichieh Wayne Yu, Chunfu Charlie Lin, Jenny Wang, Chia-Hao Chang, and Mei-Hsin Ho).
