Abstract

This textbook is a course in American history through the administration of President Woodrow Wilson. This work is offered to American youth in the confident belief that as they study the wonderful history of their native land they will learn to prize their birthright more highly, and treasure it more carefully. Following an introduction that includes the Indians, the Northmen, and Epochs of American History, topics cover: (1) Early Discoveries and Explorations; (2) Development of the English Colonies; (3) The Revolutionary War; (4) Development of the States (to 1861); (5) The Civil War. Lincoln's Administration; and (6) Development of the Nation (since 1865). Colored maps are included.
