Ethnic Origin and Social Status of the United States Population.

This paper subjects the findings of earlier studies of ethnic group status to further empirical testing. Findings on the United States as a whole for 19 White national origin groups are discussed, with special reference to status differences between foreign and native born of foreign and mixed parentage.
