Abstract
- Conflict theory as it appears in college-level sociology texts represents bad sociology and bad pedagogy. A direct confrontation with Marx and Marxism that would allow students to confront issues that are excluded from debate by the conflict theory concept would constitute better sociology and better pedagogy.
