Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the long-term impact of career counseling on the career development of educationally disadvantaged adult education students. Eleven dependent variables were examined: educational participation, educational certificate attainment, dependence on public assistance, employment status, self-satisfaction, length of employment, employment gains, income, job satisfaction, length of unemployment and job-hunting confidence.
