African Trade Unions and the Challenge of Organizing Women Workers in the Unorganized Sectors.

Democratization should be considered in terms of equal representation of women and men in government as well as in the relevant bodies and decision-making organs of society. Trade unions should be perceived and assessed in relation to the participation of women within their structures and the reflection of women's concerns in their policies and activities. (Author)
