Abstract

Describes a method of instructing students with a range of abilities that involves dividing the curriculum into layers. Provides a discussion of four steps for differentiating a science curriculum. Features of this approach include student choice of assignments based on their ability and motivation; oral evaluation of student assignments; and the use of learning stations to allow time for evaluation and facilitation.
