Abstract

Research shows that cheating is a common problem among all groups of U.S. students, but schools with honor codes and teachers who discuss cheating have lower incidences of cheating. Parents have a role in influencing their children's academic honesty. Practical strategies include discussing virtues, providing heroes, catching the student being good, setting limits, and connecting with the school. (SM)
