This article presents information on different newspapers, read by the people of the U.S. The article also presents an account of headlines and statements, published in these newspapers, regarding a controversy surrounding the students of Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. One of the newspaper "San Francisco Chronicle," said that presidential candidate Adlai Stevenson quelled a pushing, pulling mob of Yale students by appealing to their pride as Yale men and Americans." As reader, Francis J. Carr, of Palo Alto, California observes: "The upshot of the whole affair was that apparently the Yale students were in a rather festive mood."
