To understand the self‐priming characteristics of a self‐priming pump, a closed‐loop piping system that includes the self‐priming pump, valve, tank, and piping system is established. The acceleration–constant speed operation processes of the impeller are controlled through a user‐defined function that ensures that the computational model and startup conditions are consistent with the real situation. Based on numerical calculations of the self‐priming process with two different self‐priming heights, the gas–liquid distributions during the self‐priming startup process are obtained. The results show that the self‐priming startup process can be divided into three stages: rapid inhalation, oscillating exhaust, and accelerated exhaust. Under the two self‐priming heights, the time required for the rapid inhalation and accelerated exhaust stages is basically the same. Thus, the difference in self‐priming time is mainly concentrated in the oscillating exhaust stage. The rate at which the liquid level rises in the vertical pipe is not proportional to the self‐priming height, and the difference in the self‐priming time is not proportional to the change in the self‐priming height. In order to achieve efficient and durable oil-water emulsion separation, the membranes possessing high separation efficiency and mechanical strength attract extensive attention and are in great demand. In present study, a kind of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-based bilayer membrane was fabricated by electrospinning fibrous PTFE (fPTFE) on an expanded PTFE (ePTFE) substrate. The morphological observation revealed that the fibrous structure of the fPTFE layer could be tailored by controlling the formulation of spinning solution. The addition of appropriate polyoxyethylene (PEO) would make the fibers in the fPTFE layer finer and more uniform. As a result, the compounded membrane exhibited a small pore size of approximately 1.25 µm and a substantial porosity nearing 80%. This led to super-hydrophobicity, characterized by a high water contact angle (WCA) of 149.8°, and facilitated rapid oil permeation. The water-in-oil emulsion separation experiment further confirmed that the compounded membrane not only had a high separation efficiency closing 100%, but such an outstanding separation capacity could be largely retained, either through multiple cycles of use or through strong acid (pH=1), strong alkali (pH=12), or high-temperature (100 °C) treatment. Additionally, the mechanical behavior of the bilayer membrane was basically contributed by that of each layer in terms of their volume ratio. More significantly, the poor creep resistance of fPTFE layer was suppressed by compounding with ePTFE substrate. Hence, this study has laid the groundwork for a novel approach to create PTFE-based compounded membranes with exceptional overall characteristics, showing promise for applications in the realm of emulsion separation. To investigate the flow characteristics in front chamber and rear chamber in pump mode and pump as turbine mode, a 3D computational model of a centrifugal pump was established, including the front and rear chamber. Based on Realizable k-ε turbulence model, numerical calculations of incompressible flow were carried out for internal viscous flow in two operating modes. Further analysis was conducted on the flow stability and hydraulic losses under two modes using energy gradient theory and entropy production theory. The numerical simulation results are within reasonable error compared to the experimental results in pump operation mode, which ensures the reliability of the numerical calculation method. The results indicate that the volumetric efficiency in both two modes is on an upward trend with increasing flow, but the volumetric efficiency of the pump mode is more significantly affected by changes in flow; the distribution patterns of dimensionless circumferential velocity and dimensionless radial velocity in the front and rear chambers under two operating modes are similar, but the distribution pattern of dimensionless radial velocity in the front chamber in turbine mode is significantly different from other operating conditions; flow instability is most likely to occur at the outlet of impeller, and the energy loss in clearance of wear-rings is greater than that in the pump chamber. The selection of a correct level in lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) remains a common problem and is critically important to the effectiveness of this surgical treatment. Surgery is invasive, and extended laminectomy may lead to secondary surgical complications. The application of diffuse tensor imagining (DTI) and paraspinal mapping (PM) in addition to conventional magnetic resonance imaging (cMRI) may be helpful in this respect. However, the superiority of cMRI + DTI over cMRI+ (DTI or PM) in reducing decompression has not yet been established. We compared the surgical levels, determined by cMRI + DTI and cMRI+ (DTI or PM) (self-control). Treatment outcome measurements were performed at two weeks, three months, six months, and twelve months postoperatively. The surgical levels determined by cMRI ± DTI showed less than that determined by cMRI± (DTI or PM) with statistically significant differences (p value = 0.0199) and cMRI ± PM with no statistically significant differences (p value = 0.5503). The effectiveness of cMRI ± DTI in the reduction of the surgical levels in degenerative lumbar spinal stenosis is superior than that of cMRI± (DTI or PM). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Using the unsteady Bernoulli equation for the piping system and the angular momentum equation for the rotor, derives here a theoretical model to predict the startup performance of a pump as turbine (PAT). This model is effective for predicting the instantaneous evolution characteristics of the main performance parameters of PAT during startup, and these changings are initially faster and then slowly as a whole. The effect of the rotor moment of inertia and the final stabilized rotational speed of PAT on evolution characteristics of parameters is opposite. The rotational speed, head, hydraulic power, and conversion efficiency show a upward rising trend with the startup time, whereas the flow rate and hydraulic head loss display a downward trend. Tryptophan (Trp) metabolism plays a crucial role in influencing the development of digestive system tumors. Dysregulation of Trp and its metabolites has been identified in various digestive system cancers, including esophageal, gastric, liver, colorectal, and pancreatic cancers. Aberrantly expressed Trp metabolites are associated with diverse clinical features in digestive system tumors. Moreover, the levels of these metabolites can serve as prognostic indicators and predictors of recurrence risk in patients with digestive system tumors. Trp metabolites exert their influence on tumor growth and metastasis through multiple mechanisms, including immune evasion, angiogenesis promotion, and drug resistance enhancement. Suppressing the expression of key enzymes in Trp metabolism can reduce the accumulation of these metabolites, effectively impacting their role in the promotion of tumor progression and metastasis. Strategies targeting Trp metabolism through specific enzyme inhibitors or tailored drugs exhibit considerable promise in enhancing therapeutic outcomes for digestive system tumors. This study aims to explore the plasma polymerization reaction of fluorocarbon gases, with specific focus on three monomers: tetrafluoromethane, hexafluoroethane, and octafluorocyclobutane. Optical emission spectroscopy was employed to observe species within the glow discharge, while detecting plasma species in fluorocarbon plasma polymerization. Fluorocarbon plasma polymerized films surface morphology and roughness were scrutinized using scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy. Chemical bonding on film surfaces was probed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Experimental outcomes highlight the essential role of chemical interactions between fluorocarbon plasma and monomers, with film surface composition inferred from fluorocarbon ratio analysis. These analyses improve the understanding of fluorocarbon-to-carbon ratio and duty cycle contributions to plasma polymerized film growth, which promises advancements in the ability to tailor fluorocarbon films to specific applications. Background: A single injection of local anaesthetic (LA) in the erector spinae plane block (ESPB) can reduce pain after modified radical mastectomy (MRM) surgery, but the duration of analgesia is affected by the duration of the LA. The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of continuous ESPB on acute and chronic pain and inflammatory response after MRM surgery. Methods: In this prospective, randomised, controlled trial, we will recruit 160 patients, aged 18–80 years, scheduled for elective MRM surgery under general anaesthesia. They will be randomly assigned to two groups: a continuous ESPB group (group E) and a sham block group (group C). Both groups of patients will have a nerve block (group C pretended to puncture) and an indwelling catheter fixed prior to surgery. Electronic pumps containing LA are shielded. The primary outcome is the total consumption of analgesic agents. The secondary outcomes include the levels of inflammation-related cytokines; the occurrence of chronic pain (post-mastectomy pain syndrome, PMPS); static and dynamic pain scores at 2, 6, 12, 24 and 48 h postoperatively; and post-operative and post-puncture adverse reactions. Discussion: Analgesia after MRM surgery is important and chronic pain can develop when acute pain is prolonged, but the analgesic effect of a nerve block with a single injection of LA is limited by the duration of drug action. The aim of this trial is to investigate whether continuous ESPB can reduce acute pain after MRM surgery and reduce the incidence of chronic pain (PMPS), with fewer postoperative analgesic drug-related complications and less inflammatory response. This work aims to investigate the cultural and psychological factors that significantly affect teachers' intention to accept VR technology and use it long-term in their classes in elementary and secondary schools. The extended unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT2) model effectively measured such factors in this context. We conducted a questionnaire survey with 351 elementary and secondary school teachers in four provinces in China and analyzed their responses utilizing Partial Least Squares (PLS) technique. The results of this work showed that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and hedonic motivation significantly impacted continued usage intention. However, the habit did not promote continued usage intention. Based on the results, research on VR classroom application guidance and teachers' professional development with VR technology applications should be strengthened. Meanwhile, increasing the publicity of integrating VR technology into classroom teaching, creating a favorable climate for VR technology adoption, and enhancing the fun of VR technology can also contribute to teachers' continued VR technology usage intention in classroom teaching. In the majority of data mining tasks, feature selection serves as an essential pre-processing step. The most important attributes are selected to lower the dimensionality reduction of data set and enhance the precision of classification. Natural heuristic algorithms are extensively employed in the realm of encapsulated feature selection. Based on the wrapper feature selection method, seven natural heuristic algorithms are used to solve feature selection problems and perform performance comparison, which include Slime Mold Algorithm (SMA), Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA), Harris Hawks Optimization Algorithm (HHO), Marine Predator Algorithm (MPA), Butterfly Optimization Algorithm (BOA), Cuckoo Search (CS) and Firefly Algorithm (FA). At the same time, performance tests are carried out on 21 standard UCI data sets to verily the functionality of various algorithms, and the convergence curves and accuracy boxplots of 7 natural heuristic algorithms on 21 data sets are given. The simulation outcomes were assessed utilizing the mean and standard deviation of fitness, as well as the number of chosen features, and the running time, with the optimal value in bold. By comparing the comprehensive performance indexes, MPA obtained the maximum mean fitness value in most data sets (16 data sets), followed by FA (6 data sets). After reviewing Grunsky operator and Faber operator acting on Dirichlet space, we discuss the boundedness of Faber operator on BMOA, a new subject which turns out to be closely related to the BMO theory of the universal Teichmüller space. In particular, we show that the Faber operator acts as a bounded operator on BMOA if the symbol conformal map stays nearly to the base point in the BMO-Teichmüller space. Meanwhile, we obtain several results on quasiconformal mappings, BMO-Teichmüller space and chord-arc curves as well. As by-products, this provides a complex analysis approach to the boundedness of the Cauchy integral acting on BMO functions on a chord-arc curve near to the unit circle in the BMO-Teichmüller space. To investigate the influence of bolt pre-tightening force and hole-bolt spacing on the mechanical responses and failure characteristics of rock-like materials with hole-bolt composite structures, a comprehensive set of physical tests was carried out. The findings suggest that enhancing the pre-tightening force improves the peak stress and elastic modulus of the material. However, these properties initially increase and then diminish with widening hole-bolt spacing. An increase in pre-tightening force results in more fractures around the hole, altering the material's failure mode from tensile-shear to purely tensile. Additionally, as the hole-bolt spacing expands, the tensile crack positioned above the hole progressively shifts away from the bolt, leading to a transition in failure mode from tensile to tensile-shear. Field tests confirm that the bolt force proximate to the pressure relief hole remains significantly greater than that at a distance, establishing hole-bolt spacing as a critical factor in anchorage stability. • The mechanical response and failure behavior of hole-anchor composite rock-like materials was investigated. • The physical test considers the pre-tightening force and hole-bolt spacing on the influence of the rock-like material. • The failure process of the rock-like material are successfully captured by the Digital Speckle Correlation Method (DSCM). • The bolt force is influenced by the distance from the pressure relief in the physical test and verified through the field test. Sumalarins D–G (1 – 4), four previously undescribed curvularin derivatives, along with two known related metabolites, curvularin (5) and dehydrocurvularin (6), were isolated and identified from the mangrove-derived fungus Penicillium sumatrense MA-325. Among them, sumalarin D (1) represents a unique example of curvularin derivative featuring a 5-methylfuran-2-yl-methyl group. Their structures were elucidated based on analysis of NMR and MS data as well as comparison of ECD spectra and quantum chemical calculations of NMR, and compound 1 was confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis. Compounds 1 , 2 , 5 , and 6 are active against aquatic pathogenic bacteria Vibrio alginolyticus and V. harveyi with MIC values ranging from 4 to 64 μ g/mL, while compound 6 is cytotoxic against tumor cell lines 5673, HCT 116, 786-O, and Hela with IC 50 values of 3.5, 10.6, 10.9, and 14.9 μ M, respectively. [Display omitted] Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a well-known autoimmune disorder associated with joint pain, joint swelling, cartilage and bone degradation as well as deformity. The chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 13 (CXCL13) plays a crucial role in multiple cellular pathogenesis processes, including RA. TNF-α is a vital proinflammatory factor in the progression of RA. However, the role of CXCL13 in TNF-α production in RA has not been fully explored. Our analysis of both database and clinical samples revealed higher levels of CXCL13 and TNF-α in RA samples compared to healthy controls. CXCL13 concentration-dependently induces TNF-α synthesis in RA synovial fibroblasts. CXCL13 enhances TNF-α expression by interacting with the CXCR5 receptor, activating the ERK/p38 pathways, and inhibiting miR-330-3p generation. Importantly, treatment with CXCL13 shRNA counteracted the upregulation of TNF-α production induced by collagen-induced arthritis. Water stable Zr-BTDB ultrathin nanosheets incorporated with benzothiadiazole moieties enable efficient aerobic oxidation of a wide range of sulfides to sulfoxides under visible light irradiation in water at room temperature. Ultrathin metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) nanosheets incorporating photochromic units are highly efficient heterogeneous photocatalysts, thanks to their highly exposed catalytic sites, short diffusion pathways, and efficient separation of photo-generated carriers. Herein, we report on the solvothermal synthesis of photoactive benzothiadiazole (BTz) functionalized Zr-MOF nanosheets (Zr-BTDB-NS), which are constructed from Zr 12 nodes linked by nine BTDB2− (BTDB = 4,4′-(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)dibenzoate) ligands. The Zr-BTDB-NS exhibited superior photocatalytic activity towards the aerobic oxidation of a broad range of sulfides to their corresponding sulfoxides under visible light irradiation in water at room temperature, even in a gram-scale. The Zr-BTDB-NS can be efficiently recycled and reused for seven cycles without a decrease in conversion or selectivity. Detailed mechanism studies revealed that the Zr-BTDB-NS generates singlet oxygen (1O 2) and superoxide radical (O 2 –) reactive oxygen species under visible light irradiation, which are responsible for the oxidation of sulfides into their corresponding sulfoxides. The simplicity of the synthetic approach as well as the diversity of photoactive organic units hold great promise for designing ultrathin, water-stable, and photoactive Zr-MOF nanosheets. Litsea cubeba essential oil (LCEO) is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic substance produced from the fruit of the Litsea tree that has been used for the treatment of various diseases in China for thousands of years. Here, the antifungal activities of LCEO against 10 different fungi (Naganishia diffluens, Fusarium sacchari, Cladosporium tenuissimum, Fusarium proliferatum, Fusarium verticillioides, Fusarium subglutinans, Mucor racemosus, Penicillium oxalicum, Penicillium chrysogenum , and Aspergillus niger) that cause rot to waxberries were assessed. The chemical components of LCEO and its modes of action against P. oxalicum were investigated. Citral (32.62 %) was characterized as the main component of LCEO by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. LCEO exhibited excellent antifungal activities against all 10 fungi. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum fungicidal concentration of LCEO against P. oxalicum were 2.24 and 4.48 g/L, respectively. Furthermore, LCEO (MIC) compromised membrane permeability and integrity, caused leakage of the cell components, and increased production of malondialdehyde and reactive oxygen species. Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy indicated that the morphology and ultrastructure of the LCEO-treated hyphal cell membrane and organelles were severely damaged. Meanwhile, LCEO increased the shelf life of waxberries from 1–2 to 5–6 d. LCEO is a potential ecologically friendly alternative to commercial fungicides to inhibit postharvest fungal contamination of waxberries during shipment and storage. Small nucleolar RNA H/ACA Box 51 (SNORA51) is involved in progression of multiple cancers. However, its role in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is still unclear. The aim of the present study was to analyze the expression of SNORA51 in HCC and its clinical significance. A total of 136 patients with HCC who underwent surgery from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018 were included. The expression of SNORA51 in cancer tissues and adjacent tissues was compared using reverse transcription-quantitative PCR and bioinformatics methods. Methylation of the SNORA51 promoter in cancer and adjacent tissues was compared using bioinformatics. The relationship between SNORA51 expression levels and clinicopathological characteristics of patients with HCC, in addition to prognosis, was analyzed. The expression of SNORA51 in HCC was significantly higher compared with that in adjacent tissues (P<0.05). starBase demonstrated that higher expression levels of SNORA51 were associated with a significantly worse prognosis of patients with HCC compared with those who had lower expression levels of SNORA51 (P<0.05). Bioinformatics analysis using The University of Alabama at Birmingham Cancer Data Analysis Portal demonstrated that methylation of the SNORA51 promoter region in HCC was significantly decreased compared with adjacent tissues (P<0.05). A high expression of SNORA51 was significantly associated with portal vein tumor thrombus, vascular invasion and TNM stage (P<0.05). The median survival time of patients with high SNORA51 expression was significantly lower compared with those who had low SNORA51 expression (P<0.05). Both uni- and multivariate Cox regression analysis demonstrated that SNORA51 expression was an independent risk factor that significantly worsened the prognosis of patients with HCC (P<0.05). The overexpression of SNORA51 in patients with HCC was significantly associated with a poor prognosis and may be related to the reduced methylation of the SNORA51 promoter region. The reduction of friction-induced noise is a crucial research area for enhancing vehicle comfort, and this paper proposes a method based on circular pit texture to achieve this goal. We conducted a long-term sliding friction test using a pin-on-disc friction and a wear test bench to verify the validity of this method. To compare the friction noise of different surfaces, texture units with varying line densities were machined on the surface of friction disk samples. The resulting friction-wear and noise characteristics of the samples were analyzed in conjunction with the microscopic morphology of the worn surfaces. The results indicate that surfaces with textures can delay the onset of squeal noise, and the pattern of its development differs from that of smooth surfaces. The noise reduction effect is most evident due to the proper distribution of textures that can form furrow-like wear marks at the wear interface. The finite element results demonstrate that this morphology can improve pressure distribution at the leading point and reduce the tendency of system instability. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

People in modern society are media multitaskers due to portable devices and omnipresent wireless networks, and college students are no exception. Previous studies have indicated that students' media multitasking behaviours in class harm their academic performances, and understanding the reasons for college students' engagement in such behaviour is meaningful. However, the literature takes media multitasking behaviour as an audience behaviour, which ignores the interaction between students and their surroundings. This study fills this gap by emphasizing the role of the social learning process. A survey was conducted in a public and comprehensive university in western China, and a total of 457 valid respondents were obtained. The results from PLS‐SEM revealed that college students' in‐class media multitasking behaviours were influenced by both observational learning (ie, imitating others) and reinforcement learning (ie, in‐class interventions), and this learning process was shaped by students' media multitasking self‐efficacy and self‐management of learning. These findings contribute to the current literature by providing a relatively new perspective for understanding college students' in‐class media multitasking behaviours, and suggestions about how to deal with such behaviours are also provided. With the development of shale oil reservoirs, the permeability of multi-scale media undergoes changes due to stress sensitivity, which plays a crucial role in controlling pressure propagation and oil flow. This paper proposes a multi-scale coupled flow mathematical model of matrix nanopores, induced fractures, and hydraulic fractures. In this model, the micro-scale effects of shale oil flow in fractal nanopores, fractal induced fracture network, and stress sensitivity of multi-scale media are considered. We solved the model iteratively using Pedrosa transform, semi-analytic Segmented Bessel function, Laplace transform. The results of this model exhibit good agreement with the numerical solution and field production data, confirming the high accuracy of the model. As well, the influence of stress sensitivity on permeability, pressure and production is analyzed. It is shown that the permeability and production decrease significantly when induced fractures are weakly supported. Closed induced fractures can inhibit interporosity flow in the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV). It has been shown in sensitivity analysis that hydraulic fractures are beneficial to early production, and induced fractures in SRV are beneficial to middle production. The ventilation work is an important step to be completed before the start of the positive pressure explosion-proof robot. The existing explosion-proof technology uses constant pressure inflation, which will cause explosive gas to accumulate in the corner area of the cavity for a long time. In order to solve this problem, a ventilation method with periodic pulse intake is proposed. Based on the finite element method, the cleaning and ventilation process of the positive pressure explosion-proof robot is simulated and analyzed. The concentration of explosive gas in the robot cavity with time under constant pressure intake and pulse intake with different periods and amplitudes is compared. The simulation results show that the pulse intake is beneficial to the ventilation of the corner position. The period and amplitude of the pulse intake has an effect on the ventilation efficiency, when the period is the same, the greater the amplitude of the pulse intake, the higher the ventilation efficiency; when the amplitude is the same, the smaller the period of the pulse intake, the higher the ventilation efficiency. After experimental verification, the validity of the simulation results is proved. Suicidal ideation is a substantial clinical challenge in treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Recent work demonstrated promising antidepressant effects in TRD patients with no or mild suicidal ideation using a specific protocol termed intermittent theta burst stimulation (iTBS). Here, we examined the clinical effects of accelerated schedules of iTBS and continuous TBS (cTBS) in patients with moderate to severe suicidal ideation. Patients with TRD and moderate to severe suicidal ideation (n = 44) were randomly assigned to receive accelerated iTBS or cTBS treatment. Treatments were delivered in 10 daily TBS sessions (1800 pulses/session) for 5 consecutive days (total of 90,000 pulses). Neuronavigation was employed to target accelerated iTBS and cTBS to the left and right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC), respectively. Clinical outcomes were evaluated in a 4-week follow-up period. Accelerated cTBS was superior to iTBS in the management of suicidal ideation (p week 1 =.027) and anxiety symptoms (p week 1 =.01). Accelerated iTBS and cTBS were comparable in antidepressant effects (p <.001; accelerated cTBS: mean change at weeks 1, 3, 5 = 49.55%, 54.99%, 53.11%; accelerated iTBS: mean change at weeks 1, 3, 5 = 44.52%, 48.04%, 51.74%). No serious adverse events occurred during the trial. One patient withdrew due to hypomania. The most common adverse event was discomfort at the treatment site (22.73% in both groups). These findings provide the first evidence that accelerated schedules of left DLPFC iTBS and right DLPFC cTBS are comparably effective in managing antidepressant symptoms and indicate that right DLPFC cTBS is potentially superior in reducing suicidal ideation and anxiety symptoms. Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), renowned for their porous and tunable functionalities, hold significant potential for enhancing perovskite photovoltaic. However, the influence of MOF, particularly those with balanced cations in the pores, on the conversion of bottom‐layer PbI2 and the distribution of MOFs within perovskite remains underexplored. Herein, a newly synthesized Yttrium (Y)‐MOF material is introduced, featuring dimethylamine (DMA) as balanced cations within its pores and strong absorption in UV regime, to modify perovskite films. Y‐MOF, rich in oxygen and nitrogen sites, and featuring DMA within its pores, can passivate uncoordinated Pb2+ in perovskite. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and grazing incidence wide‐angle X‐ray scattering (GIWAXS) analysis of the top and bottom surfaces for pristine and Y‐MOF‐assisted perovskite samples reveal that the presence of PbI2 in the Y‐MOF‐assisted perovskite films is negligible. In situ UV–vis analyses demonstrate that the incorporation of Y‐MOF decelerates the crystallization kinetics of perovskite, facilitating the development of larger perovskite grains. Moreover, GIWAXS experiments conducted at different angles reveal the predominant bottom distribution of Y‐MOF within the perovskite, which effectively mitigates the impact of ultraviolet light on the perovskite. The spline teeth fracture of separator plates in wet multi-plate clutches compromises driving safety and the vehicle's lifespan. Tooth fracture is mainly caused by stress concentration at the tooth root and uneven circumferential load distribution. This paper considers parameters such as torque, teeth count, tooth profile, and misalignment errors, establishing the corresponding finite element (FE) model to analyze the impact of the above-mentioned parameters on the strength of the separator plates. Analysis under even and biased load circumstances demonstrated that an optimum tooth count and profile can significantly increase the strength of the separator plates, offering advice for the optimized design of wet multi-plate clutch separator plates. Coati Optimization Algorithm (COA) is a novel heuristic algorithm that simulates the intricate behavioral repertoire of coatis manifestations during their pursuit of iguanas as well as their evasive tactics against predators. Aiming to elevate the convergence characteristics regarding speed and precision of the original algorithmic process, and addressing the issue of susceptibility to local optima, an enhanced Coati Optimization Algorithm is suggested based on Cauchy mutation and chaotic maps. Firstly, the Cauchy mutation is embedded in the process of coatis hunting for iguanas. Subsequently, each of ten chaotic maps was incorporated into the probing phase of the COA, generating ten unique enhanced versions. This augments the algorithm's precision in optimization, bolsters the equilibrium between exploration and exploitation and enhances its itinerancy and non-redundancy. The enhanced optimization algorithm exhibiting the aggregated optimal performance is selected from ten types of different enhanced COA and used for subsequent comparisons with other algorithms for function optimization and engineering optimization. Thirty benchmark functions from the CEC-BC-2022 datasets were incorporated for evaluation on performance metrics of the improved COA with Cauchy mutation and ten types of chaotic maps, and then the performance of the Chebyshev map enhanced COA and other six swarm intelligent algorithms are compared for optimization purposes. Finally, optimization was performed on four distinct engineering design problems. The outcomes of the simulation experiment evidence that the advanced Cauchy mutation chaotic COA yields satisfactory outcomes in addressing both function optimization and engineering optimization. Ammonia–methane (NH3–CH4) mixtures have potentials to serve as low-carbon fuels for gas turbines. Recent studies demonstrated that secondary air injection was an effective strategy to reduce NOx emissions from the combustion of NH3–CH4–air mixtures. However, the effects of secondary air injection on the performance of thermoacoustic instability of NH3–CH4–air flames remain unknown. To this end, this study experimentally investigated the thermoacoustic instability performance of a premixed, swirl-stabilized NH3–CH4–FF air combustor without and with secondary air injection. Without secondary air injection, thermoacoustic instabilities were widely detected at NH3 ratios below 50% (by volume). It was discovered that such instabilities were significantly suppressed by secondary air injection over a wider range of operating conditions. In conjunction with the analysis of the flame and flow dynamics, it was revealed that the secondary air injection suppressed the large amplitude axial oscillations of the flame and the flow field. Combined with the experimental results, it was inferred that the introduction of secondary air changed the velocity and pressure distribution downstream of the primary combustion zone, which in turn affected the formation and evolution of the vortex structures, thereby mitigating thermoacoustic coupling. Finally, emission measurements were discussed and the results indicated that the secondary air injection strategy reduced unburnt NH3 and CO emissions to a certain extent as well as decreased NOx emissions at specific equivalence ratios. Against the backdrop of a global paper resource shortage, there is a growing need to identify fast-growing tree species capable of producing long-lasting paper. Three plant species namely Broussonetia kazinoki, Broussonetia papyrifera and hybrid paper mulberry, belong to the Broussonetia genus, were collected from China to study their white bark suitability for pulp and papermaking. Their chemical composition revealed that the holocellulose content in Broussonetia kazinoki and Broussonetia papyrifera was more than 80%. The molecular weight distribution of several holocellulose/α-cellulose is observed by GPC, which allows us to better observe the changes of various components on the molecular weight. The yield, lignin, whiteness, and molecular weight of the pulps obtained by NaOH treatment were determined. Optical microscope was used to characterize the fiber length-width ratio and rigidity. Finally, the improvement of the fiber rigidity method based on the Kratky-Porod chain model makes it more theoretical and further reveals the influencing factors of fiber rigidity. Climate change and disease threaten shrimp farming. Here, we studied the beneficial properties of a phytogenic formulation, Shrimp Best (SB), in whiteleg shrimp. Functional studies showed that SB dose-dependently increased shrimp body weight and decreased feed conversion ratio. We found that SB protected against Vibrio parahaemolyticus as evidenced by survival rate, bacterial load, and hepatopancreatic pathology in shrimp. Finally, we explored the likely mechanism by which SB affects growth performance and vibriosis in shrimp. The 16S rRNA sequencing data showed that SB increased 6 probiotic genera and decreased 6 genera of pathogenic bacteria in shrimp. Among these, SB increased the proportion of Lactobacillus johnsonii and decreased that of V. parahaemolyticus in shrimp guts. To dissect the relationship among SB, Lactobacillus and Vibrio, we investigated the in vitro regulation of Lactobacillus and Vibrio by SB. SB at ≥ 0.25 μg/mL promoted L. johnsonii growth. Additionally, L. johnsonii and its supernatant could inhibit V. parahaemolyticus. Furthermore, SB could up-regulate five anti-Vibrio metabolites of L. johnsonii, which caused bacterial membrane destruction. In parallel, we identified 3 fatty acids as active compounds from SB. Objective: Stocking density (SD) is an important issue in the poultry industry, which is related to the production performance, intestinal health and immune status. In the present study, the effects of SD on the metabolism and homeostasis of uric acid as well as the related functions of the liver and kidney in ducks were examined. Methods: A total of 360 healthy 56-day-old Shan-ma ducks were randomly divided into the low stocking density (n = 60, density = 5 birds/m2), medium stocking density (n = 120, density = 10 birds/m2) and high stocking density groups (HSD; n = 180, density = 15 birds/m2). Samples were collected in the 3rd, 6th, and 9th weeks of the experiment for analysis. Results: The serum levels of uric acid, lipopolysaccharide and inflammatory cytokines (interleukin-1ß [IL-1ß], IL-8, and tumor necrosis factor-a [TNF-a]) were increased significantly in the HSD group. Serious histopathological lesions could be seen in both the livers and kidneys in the HSD group in the 9th week. The mRNA expression levels of inflammatory cytokines (IL-8 and TNF-a) and related pathway components (toll-like receptor 4, myeloid differentiation primary response gene 88, and nuclear factor-κB) were increased significantly in both the livers and kidneys in the HSD group. The mRNA expression levels of enzymes (adenosine deaminase, xanthine oxidase, phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate amidotransferase, and phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase 1) related to the synthesis of uric acid increased significantly in the livers in the HSD group. However, the mRNA expression level of solute carrier family 2 member 9, which plays an important role in the excretion of uric acid by the kidney, was decreased significantly in the kidneys in the HSD group. Conclusion: These results indicated that a higher SD could cause tissue inflammatory lesions in the liver and kidney and subsequently affect the metabolism and homeostasis of uric acid, and is helpful for guiding decisions related to the breeding and production of ducks. With the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), there has been an increasing focus on exploring the relationship between SARS-CoV-2 infection and tumors. However, there is no consensus on the association between COVID-19 and lymphoma. In this study, genome-wide association study (GWAS) summary data sets for COVID-19 and lymphoma were obtained from the OPEN GWAS website. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected as genetic instrument variants for fulling P < 5 × 10−8 and linkage disequilibrium [LD] r2 < 0.001. Both palindromic and outlier SNPs were removed. Cochran's Q test, the MR‒Egger intercept test, and leave-one-out analysis were employed to assess the sensitivity of the effect of COVID-19 on lymphoma. The results showed that COVID-19 patients with very severe respiratory symptoms have an increased risk of developing diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (IVW, OR = 1.765, 95% CI 1.174–2.651, P = 0.006). There was no association between COVID-19 with very severe respiratory symptoms and Hodgkin's lymphoma or other types of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. No horizontal or directional pleiotropy was observed in the Mendelian randomization analysis. In conclusion, SARS-CoV-2 infection with very severe respiratory symptoms may be a potential risk factor for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), and follow-up studies with larger samples are needed. Considering the influence of the contact and friction for buckling deformation, a comprehensive model is proposed to study the timing-varying thermodynamic characteristics of the clutch. The mathematical model is developed to calculate the contact status of the post-buckling separate plate, which is testified by the finite element method and bench experiments. The post-buckling plate undergoes a five-stage deformation, and the radial contact pressure finally forms 'M/W′ shape during engagements. With the increasing buckling angle, the plate flattening threshold and pressure decay increase gradually; meanwhile, the radial temperature distribution is sculptured as 'W′ shape, creating larger thermal stress and thermal bending moment. This paper investigates using an Iterated Bayesian Focusing Algorithm and out-duct array measurements to identify multiple broadband sources placed in a cylindrical duct. The problems of large main lobe and low resolution due to localization of sources using conventional methods are investigated in this paper. To solve these problems, an Iterated Bayesian Focusing (IBF) method is utilized to localize the broadband sources. To evaluate and confirm the efficacy of the method, simulation tests and experimental validation are performed. In our experiments, we used a 56-channel dobby spiral array for out-duct measurements and beamforming method, equivalent source method (ESM), deconvolution approach for the mapping of acoustic sources (DAMAS), and Iterated Bayesian Focusing (IBF) method to localize broadband sources inside the duct. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the Iterated Bayesian Focusing (IBF) method significantly reduces the main lobe width and minimizes the number of minor lobes. • V and Cr from V-Cr slag were separated using high-temperature heating without liquid contamination. • The reaction of Na 2 CO 3 with V-Cr slag results in the collection of volatile Na 2 CrO ' , NaCrO 2 , and other Cr compounds, achieving the separation. • The separation mechanism of V and Cr was clarified. A method to separate vanadium (V) and chromium (Cr) from vanadium-chromium (V-Cr) slag was developed to treat the hazardous substances effectively. This approach was achieved by heating V-Cr slag with Na 2 CO 3 in air within a temperature range of 30 °C to 1400 °C. Through TG-DSC, XRD, SEM-EDS and XPS tests, the results showed that Na 2 CO 3 reacted with V compounds at lower temperatures, producing NaVO 2 and Na 3 VO 4. At the high-temperature stage, Na 2 CO 3 reacted with Cr compounds, resulting in Na 2 CrO 4 and Cr 2 O 3 formation on the slag surface. As the temperature exceeded 1200 °C, volatiles (Na 2 CrO 4 , NaCrO 2 , and other Cr compounds) were generated from the residuals and collected by condensation to separate V and Cr. This method provides a novel strategy for eco-friendly resource utilization of V-Cr slag, which is highly efficient, minimizes hazardous wastes, and can be further promoted in the industry. The Non-Synchronous Measurements is particularly effective at expanding the operating frequency range of a single microphone array. The completed cross-spectral matrix of the synthetic array, when combined with high-resolution imaging algorithms, can yield accurate sound source identification results. However, when matrix completion algorithms are applied to large synthetic arrays, their computational complexity increases significantly. Furthermore, existing integrations with high-resolution imaging algorithms often encounter difficulties in the presence of coherent sound sources. To address this problem, this paper introduces the accelerated gradient descent algorithm for the covariance matrix fitting by orthogonal least squares. The matrix completion model for non-synchronous measurements is initially simplified through matrix decomposition, thereby enabling the rapid completion of the cross-spectral matrix using the accelerated gradient descent algorithm. This is then followed by the application of the covariance matrix fitting by orthogonal least squares to achieve quick and precise identification of coherent sound sources employing the completed cross-spectral matrix. The performance of the algorithm is evaluated using numerical simulations and validated through loudspeaker experiments in an anechoic chamber. The results from these simulations and experiments reveal that the proposed algorithm not only improves matrix completion performance on large synthetic arrays but also accurately identifies the locations and correlation coefficients of coherent sound sources. Fungal keratitis (FK) is a vision-threatening infection. We aimed to explore the antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects of pseudolaric acid B (PAB) on FK and the underlying mechanisms involved. Network pharmacology utilized to acquire the potential target genes, and silent information regulator 1 (SIRT1) was consistently downregulated in Gene Expression Omnibus dataset and clinical samples. Molecular docking analysis showed that PAB and SIRT1 had good binding activity. No toxicity was observed in vivo and in vitro with a PAB concentration below 0.3 μM. PAB exerted its antifungal activity by destroying the integrity of hyphae, and alleviated the severity of FK in rats by decreasing clinical scores, fungal burden and inhibiting inflammatory cell infiltration. PAB increased SIRT1 to regulate the crosstalk between nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB), decreasing the levels of inflammatory cytokines tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β, and IL-6; and pattern recognition receptors, C-type lectin domain containing 7A (Dectin-1), lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor 1 (LOX-1), toll like receptor (TLR)-2, and TLR4 both in vivo and in vitro. However, this anti-inflammatory effect of PAB was abolished by the SIRT1 inhibitor EX527. Arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) are fast-flow vascular malformations and refer to important causes of intracerebral haemorrhage in young adults. Getting deep insight into the genetic pathogenesis of AVMs is necessary. Herein, we identified two vital missense variants of G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) associated sorting protein 1 (GPRASP1) in AVM patients for the first time and congruously determined to be loss-of-function variants in endothelial cells. GPRASP1 loss-of-function caused endothelial dysfunction in vitro and in vivo. Endothelial Gprasp1 knockout mice suffered a high probability of cerebral haemorrhage, AVMs and exhibited vascular anomalies in multiple organs. GPR4 was identified to be an effective GPCR binding with GPRASP1 to develop endothelial disorders. GPRASP1 deletion activated GPR4/cAMP/MAPK signalling to disturb endothelial functions, thus contributing to vascular anomalies. Mechanistically, GPRASP1 promoted GPR4 degradation. GPRASP1 enabled GPR4 K63-linked ubiquitination, enhancing the binding of GPR4 and RABGEF1 to activate RAB5 for conversions from endocytic vesicles to endosomes, and subsequently increasing the interactions of GPR4 and ESCRT members to package GPR4 into multivesicular bodies or late endosomes for lysosome degradation. Notably, the GPR4 antagonist NE 52-QQ57 and JNK inhibitor SP600125 effectively rescued the vascular phenotype caused by endothelial Gprasp1 deletion. Plasmodiophora brassicae is one of the biggest threats to cruciferous plants and one of the most economically significant diseases worldwide. However, our current understanding of its pathogenic mechanisms remains limited. In this study, we have identified an effector, Pb257, which plays a crucial role in the virulence of P. brassicae. The expression pattern analysis revealed continuous induction of Pb257 during both primary and secondary infections. Ectopic expression of Pb257 strongly triggered cell death in Nicotiana benthamiana and several other plants, which was dependent on SOBIR1 and the salicylic acid pathway but not BAK1, a central molecular regulator, to mediate classical defense pathways. Overexpression of Pb257 increased susceptibility of Brassica rapa to P. brassicae. Silencing of the Pb257-encoding gene led to reduce root swelling. Further investigation showed that the conserved GOLD domain within Pb257 was essential for inducing root enlargement, which is similar to the mild symptoms of clubroot, indicating that it is an important effector for promoting root cell enlargement. GOLD domain-containing family proteins were widely present in the kingdoms of protozoa, fungi, and animalia, and Pb257 was clustered into a clade of protozoa, suggesting the encoding gene as a potential marker gene for classification of P. brassicae. The GOLD domain-containing proteins are known regulators involved in human cell proliferation and immune system disruption, however, no previous reports have described a pathogen-derived GOLD domain protein with elicitor activity. Our findings demonstrate that Pb257 functions as a crucial effector contributing to the virulence of P. brassicae and could be used as a potential molecular target for controlling clubroot disease. Direct Z-schemes for photocatalytic overall water splitting for hydrogen generation are constructed for Sc 2 CCl 2 /MoTe 2 and Sc 2 CCl 2 /Hf 2 CO 2 heterostructures on the basis of the calculated band alignment and built-in electric field. Solar-to-hydrogen efficiency (η STH ′), which is evaluated using the overpotentials of the band edges and band gaps, can reach 22.09 % for Sc 2 CCl 2 /MoTe 2 and 19.07 % for Sc 2 CCl 2 /Hf 2 CO 2. Tensile strains have little effect on η STH ′. Compressive strains substantially increase the η STH ′ of Sc 2 CCl 2 /MoTe 2 and boost that of the Sc 2 CCl 2 /Hf 2 CO 2 heterostructure only slightly. Nonadiabatic dynamics simulations reveal that the lifetime of the photogenerated electron in one of the stacking patterns of Sc 2 CCl 2 /MoTe 2 is much larger than that of the other configurations, indicating that the reduction ability of the electron is well protected. However, the interlayer electron–hole recombination in Sc 2 CCl 2 /MoTe 2 is faster than that in Sc 2 CCl 2 /Hf 2 CO 2 , implying that the Z-schemes with the former are more efficient than the Z-schemes with the latter. The hydrogen and oxidation evolution reactions with the two heterostructures are thermodynamically feasible but the reactions cannot proceed spontaneously. These findings provide a helpful guide for the development of photocatalytic materials for photocatalytic hydrogen generation from overall water splitting based on the title heterostructures. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aging-related and heterogeneous hematopoietic malignancy. In this study, a total of 1,474 newly diagnosed AML patients with RNA sequencing data were enrolled, and targeted or whole exome sequencing data were obtained in 94% cases. The correlation of aging-related factors including age and clonal hematopoiesis (CH), gender, and genomic/transcriptomic profiles (gene fusions, genetic mutations, and gene expression networks or pathways) was systematically analyzed. Overall, AML patients aged 60 y and older showed an apparently dismal prognosis. Alongside age, the frequency of gene fusions defined in the World Health Organization classification decreased, while the positive rate of gene mutations, especially CH-related ones, increased. Additionally, the number of genetic mutations was higher in gene fusion--negative (GF-) patients than those with GF. Based on the status of CH- and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS)-related mutations, three mutant subgroups were identified among the GF-AML cohort, namely, CH-AML, CH-MDS-AML, and other GF-AML. Notably, CH-MDS-AML demonstrated a predominance of elderly and male cases, cytopenia, and significantly adverse clinical outcomes. Besides, gene expression networks including HOXA/B, platelet factors, and inflammatory responses were most striking features associated with aging and poor prognosis in AML. Ammonia (NH3) has been widely considered as a promising carbon-free energy and hydrogen carrier for various applications. The large-scale direct utilization of NH3 as fuel in gas turbine engines is currently attracting significant interest, with strong focuses on improving the efficiency and stability of the system and reducing the emissions of pollutants. The present study experimentally examined the impacts of swirl intensity on combustion stability and emissions in an NH3-enriched premixed swirl-stabilized CH4/air combustor under a wide range of equivalence ratios. Simultaneous high-speed OH* chemiluminescence and particle image velocimetry measurements suggested that increasing swirl intensity resulted in more compact flame shapes and expanded the recirculation zone, which promoted flame stability at higher NH3 ratios. However, under specified conditions, enhancing swirl intensity could increase the instability frequency and amplitude of pressure oscillations. The flame dynamics exhibited different behaviors depending on the swirl intensity. At high swirl intensity, the flames underwent high-frequency, small-amplitude periodic motion. At low swirl intensity, the flames oscillated axially with large amplitude and low frequency. For flow dynamics, the stability of the vortex at high swirl intensity contrasted with the periodic vortex shedding at low swirl intensity. Furthermore, the two-dimensional Rayleigh index indicated that the dominant positive thermoacoustic coupling regions were located near the flame shear layers and flame tail at low and high swirl intensities, respectively. Finally, the experimental results showed that swirl intensity affected pollutant emissions by influencing the temperature of combustion chamber and gas mixing efficiency. Metallurgical solid waste blast furnace water quenched slag (WBFS) was employed as carrier materials to prepare Fe–TiO 2 /WBFS composite photocatalyst using a sol-gel method for improving both the photocatalytic activity and the high-value utilization of metallurgical solid waste. The Fe3+ doping technology was adopted to increase the utilization of solar energy. The influencing factors and photocatalytic activity were systematically evaluated by thermogravimetry/differential thermal analyser (TG-DSC), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method, scanning electron microscopy-energy spectrometer (SEM-EDS), X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy (XPS), UV–Vis absorption spectrum and photoluminescence spectra technology through the degradation rate of methylene blue (MB) solution. The results showed that the Fe3+ ions were successfully incorporated into the TiO 2 lattice, which had no effect on the crystalline phase of TiO 2 and expanded the spectral response range of TiO 2 from the ultraviolet region to the visible light region. When the calcination temperature was at 450 °C and the number of Fe–TiO 2 sol loading cycles was two times, the photocatalytic activity of Fe–TiO 2 /WBFS presented the strongest, and the degradation ratio of MB reach the maximum value of 98.9 %. A uniform and dense anatase TiO 2 thin film was wrapped on the surface of WBFS. The photocatalytic activity first improved and then weakened with an increase of calcination temperature, Fe3+ doping amounts and the loading cycles of sol. The TiO 2 film changed from thin to thick and uneven to uniform, until cracking and spalling phenomenon finally occurred with an increase of Fe–TiO 2 sol loading cycle from 1 to 3 times. When the Fe–TiO 2 /WBFS was reused for four times, the degradation rate of MB could still show 67.4 %, being far higher than that of TiO 2 /WBFS of 25.4 %. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Accurately identifies the cellular composition of complex tissues, which is critical for understanding disease pathogenesis, early diagnosis, and prevention. However, current methods for deconvoluting bulk RNA sequencing (RNA‐seq) typically rely on matched single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) as a reference, which can be limiting due to differences in sequencing distribution and the potential for invalid information from single‐cell references. Hence, a novel computational method named SCROAM is introduced to address these challenges. SCROAM transforms scRNA‐seq and bulk RNA‐seq into a shared feature space, effectively eliminating distributional differences in the latent space. Subsequently, cell‐type‐specific expression matrices are generated from the scRNA‐seq data, facilitating the precise identification of cell types within bulk tissues. The performance of SCROAM is assessed through benchmarking against simulated and real datasets, demonstrating its accuracy and robustness. To further validate SCROAM's performance, single‐cell and bulk RNA‐seq experiments are conducted on mouse spinal cord tissue, with SCROAM applied to identify cell types in bulk tissue. Results indicate that SCROAM is a highly effective tool for identifying similar cell types. An integrated analysis of liver cancer and primary glioblastoma is then performed. Bacterial cystitis, a commonly occurring urinary tract infection (UTI), is renowned for its extensive prevalence and tendency to recur. Despite the extensive utilization of levofloxacin as a conventional therapeutic approach for bacterial cystitis, its effectiveness is impeded by adverse toxic effects, drug resistance concerns, and its influence on the gut microbiota. This study introduces Lev@PADM, a hydrogel with antibacterial properties that demonstrates efficacy in the treatment of bacterial cystitis. Lev@PADM is produced by combining levofloxacin with decellularized porcine acellular dermal matrix hydrogel and exhibits remarkable biocompatibility. Lev@PADM demonstrates excellent stability as a hydrogel at body temperature, enabling direct administration to the site of infection through intravesical injection. This localized delivery route circumvents the systemic circulation of levofloxacin, resulting in a swift and substantial elevation of the antimicrobial agent's concentration specifically at the site of infection. The in vivo experimental findings provide evidence that Lev@PADM effectively prolongs the duration of levofloxacin's action, impedes the retention and invasion of E.coli in the urinary tract, diminishes the infiltration of innate immune cells into infected tissues, and simultaneously preserves the composition of the intestinal microbiota. These results indicate that, in comparison to the exclusive administration of levofloxacin, Lev@PADM offers notable benefits in terms of preserving the integrity of the bladder epithelial barrier and suppressing the recurrence of urinary tract infections. A silicon nanocrystal (Si NC) white light-emitting (λ = ∼400–900 nm) thin film with a relatively low resistivity of 1.6 × 104 Ω m has been prepared as an active medium for electrically driven Si light sources. The average size of Si NC is 2.4 ± 0.4 nm. To enhance the light emission efficiency of this low-resistivity Si NC thin film, approach of hydrogen passivation suitable for the traditional high-resistivity (1.2 × 107 Ω m in this work for example) red light-emitting Si NC thin film has been tried and found unavailable unfortunately. Our first principles simulation shows that Si NCs bonded to −O, −NH2, −OH, and −H ligands are responsible for red, green, and blue (RGB) primary color emissions in this white light-emitting sample, respectively. Passivation of the sample in NH3 and H2O atmosphere is then conducted, aiming to increase the number of the RGB light emitters. The light emission is significantly enhanced, with photoluminescence intensity, photoluminescence quantum yield, electroluminescence intensity, and net optical gains increased by factors of 4.6, 4.2, 4.0, and ∼3.0, respectively, after 10-day passivation. In the present work, the effects of aging treatment on the microstructures of a TC18 alloy are studied. The influence of aging treatment on the tensile properties and failure mechanisms is systematically analyzed. It is found that the size and morphology of the primary α (αp) phases are insensitive to aging temperature and time. Furthermore, the aging temperature and time dramatically influence the precipitation of the secondary α (αs) phases. Massive αs phases precipitate and gradually coarsen, and finally weave together by increasing the aging temperature or extending the aging time. The variations in αp and αs phases induced by aging parameters also affect the mechanical properties. Both yield strength (YS) and ultimate tensile strength (UTS) first increase and then decrease by increasing the aging temperature and time, while ductility first decreases and then increases. There is an excellent balance between the strengths and ductility. When the aging temperature is changed from 450 to 550 °C, YS varies from 1238.6 to 1381.6 MPa, UTS varies from 1363.2 to 1516.8 MPa, and the moderate elongation ranges from 9.0% to 10.3%. These results reveal that the thickness of αs phases is responsible for material strengths, while the content of α phases can enhance material ductility. The ductile characteristics of the alloy with coarser αs phases are more obvious than those with thinner αs phases. Therefore, the aging treatment is helpful for the precipitation and homogeneous distribution of αs phases, which are essential for balancing the strengths and ductility of the studied Ti alloy. The Gengma-Lancang-Menghai seismic belt, the southernmost part of the North-South seismic belt, is controlled by four active faults: the Nantinghe fault (NTHF), the Sanjianshan fault (SJSF), the Hanmuba-Lancang fault (HMB-LCF), and the Heihe fault (HHF), from northwest to southeast. However, the tectonic activity of the faults in the Gengma-Lancang-Menghai seismic belt has not been fully studied yet. In the present work, we conducted tectonic geomorphic indices to analyze the relative tectonic activity along the faults in the seismic belt based on the digital elevation model. We interpreted asymmetric factor, index of drainage basin shape, hypsometric integral, normalized stream-length gradient, valley floor-to-width to height ratio, and longitudinal profiles to show that the relative tectonic activity is higher in the north and lower in the south, and is strong in the region from Shanjia to Huimin in the center of the seismic belt.
