An ARDUINO-based GPS tracking and alarm system for a user is presented in this paper. It is a self-defence tool that can be employed when an urgent safety scenario calls for prompt action to neutralize an assailant. By linking to it, the alert system will send an alert message to the emergency contact. An ARDUINO, a Bluetooth module, and a mobile phone's messaging system are the key components of this detection and message system, which is controlled by a mobile phone application. The GPS recipient gets area information within the frame of scope and longitude coordinates from satellites. The ARDUINO processes this data before sending it to the user via an SMS system in the phone. The predetermined mobile number is activated by the messaging system, which then sends an SMS to it. However, there are a few limitations to track progress using mobile phones, such as the haphazard placement of photos in smartphone albums makes it difficult for users to locate and compare previous photos, hindering effective progress monitoring. Besides, lack of a mechanism to add progress metrics to images, making it hard to track and compare the improvement over time. Lastly, the absence of a cloud-based storage solution for progress data results in potential data loss and the inability to synchronize progress across multiple devices. This paper examines the use of mobile phone sensor data to identify transportation mode detection using the K-nearest Neighbor algorithm. The model tries to recognize the walking, still walking, Bus, Train, and Car transportation modes. One of the normalization methods, such as the Min-Max normalization or the Z-Score Normalization, is implemented to pre-process the data. It uses four distance methods such as Euclidian, Manhattan, Chebyshev, and Minkowski as distance calculation mechanisms. Based on the highest accuracy result, the model is selected. The analysis also concluded that the optimal model has the highest accuracy, which has validated the results achieved through extensive normalization methods and the choosing of the most appropriate distance functions. As a result, the outcomes of the research have further indicated the importance of selecting the appropriate normalization techniques and distance functions on the accuracy of the model used in transportation detection. In this paper we propose a case study based on the augmented reality that can be used in the teaching-learning-evaluation system in the Physical discipline. The application which is made by us contains the graphic modeling in case of free fall of bodies, theoretical aspects, and applications, as well as objective evaluation items, organized in tests. Outside the application, a system has been made capable of adding virtual elements (as 3D models and text) over the video stream taken directly from the video camera of the mobile phone or tablet. This application can be used in teaching-learning-evaluation activities in the physical discipline. IoT devices are usually very expensive. Moreover, homes that already have bulbs and devices installed which are not IoT enabled would find it very uneconomic to upgrade to ones that can be controlled. Therefore, Microcontrollers can help us control these devices without needing to actually have devices that are IoT enabled. These devices can be anything like a light bulb, a fan, or any other appliances controlled from a switchboard. These devices are used in an IoT smart home scenario, without any additional Bluetooth/Wi-Fi chips being installed. Studying the heating characteristics on human head models can be used to investigate the influence of these waves on human biological medium as it allows calculating temperature elevation. The specific absorption rate (SAR) is the physical quantity most often used to investigate the biological effects produced due to the electromagnetic energy absorbed by the human head-sensitive tissues. This paper focuses attention on human head tissues to estimate the rate of the induced specific absorption rate (SAR) distribution and the temperature elevation through a numerical approach. A model of a human head with four layers was built to predict the thermal distribution inside the human head tissues exposed to phone RF radiations at different frequencies with the help of a bio- heat equation. The simulation results show that the temperature elevation in the skin and brain tissues at all frequencies never exceeds 0.1 C, and the generated SAR is well below the safety limits for the adverse thermal effects. In this research paper, the user and charging station operator willget the intimation of the State of charge of the battery. When the battery is 95% charged then the user and operator will get intimation on the mobile phone. This model has the advanced technology that if the charging is done 100 % then SOC of the battery will be measured and charging will be shut off. The operator does not have to wait at the charging station to get it fully charged, the operator will get the indication in his mobile for the full charging of the battery so that he can go to the charging station at an accurate time. The speed characteristics are country-based due to variations in demographics, driver habits, attitudes, etc. Thereby, it is necessary to study the main parameters that affect the driving attitude to choose the safe speed. This paper provides an in-depth examination of the differences between two age groups, two weather conditions, three types of vehicle licences, whether the driver using their cell phones during driving, and real speed. The radar speed gun was used to measure infield spot speed in a divided 2-way, 4-lane arterial in Baghdad city, Iraq. Currently, no comparable data set exists in Iraq. The outputs of the study provide database for safety requirements to identify the drivers' response time to avoid certain crashes. The results revealed that drivers are different in terms of speed, age, vehicle licenses, under different weather conditions. For instance: the mean speed for young drivers is higher than that of elderly drivers. The mean speed of the truck drivers is lowest by approximately 25% as compared with private-cars and taxi drivers. The mean speed under sunny weather conditions is higher than on rainy days by approximately 8.5%. The distracted driver with cellphone drives at 24% lower speed as compared to non-distracted drivers. In this paper, we propose and implement an Internet-based mobile PV power generation monitoring system from the point of view of diagnosing the characteristics and contribution of this paper is as follows. First, the proposed system model can self- measure the condition and structure of the solar power generation system from the standpoint of safety diagnostics. Second, the proposed system reprocesses the data that automatically measures the state of the solar power generation structure and stores it in the database. Third, the proposed system uses reprocessed and stored information to provide monitoring information to the manager and owner of the solar power generation structure in the form of a web page, so that the condition of the structure can be measured from a safety diagnostic standpoint without going directly to the solar structure. Physiotherapists are using a default setting in rehabilitation for patients in exergames. This can lead to lack of appropriate settings for the patients. The default setting includes level of difficulty, percentage of tolerance and maximum range. This paper focus on optimization of patients' average percentage (range of motion) from rehabilitation, as well as profiling setting according to the estimated optimal results. Moreover, the optimal results of parameters setting would be the profiling setting for the future rehabilitation. Regression analysis, and Genetic Algorithm (GA) are implemented for modelling and optimization process. Artificial neural networks have been used to make advances in flood prediction (ANN). Despite many advances in flood prediction systems through the use of ANN, there has been less emphasis on the use of edge computing to increase the efficiency and reliability of such systems.This paper proposes that all the automotive owners who use their cell phones should construct an Android application while traveling and receiving flood reports on their journeys. Working with an Arduino flood detection prototype, the application warns the user if the car is safe to travel through the flood, precautionary, or never traverse the road due to the flood. To detect the position of the user, the program will utilize the Smartphone GPS. Whenever the car owner enters the range of the prototype depending on the driver's position, the owner of the car informs the user by voice if it is acceptable. It also enables them to not stay in a flooded region, or worse, their motors might get damaged due to the floods in their motors since they did not realize how high a flood was and tried to cross it. Cellular phones face issues of low signal power and reduced call quality when intended to use in the interior environment. Though the traditional method of using distributed antenna systems, somehow overcomes this issue but has many limitations too. As a result, this paper suggested a model that address the shortcomings of the previously described method by implementing a wireless framework to curb the reduced signal quality in indoor communication. In the proposed protocol, we have designed a compact, low-power cellular base station called Femtocells, which helps service providers or base stations to extend indoor service coverage and provide better signal quality. This can be used in both residential and enterprise areas. These cellular access points provide communication between the local Femtocells are essentially a form of the cellular access point that provides communication between the mobile phones and internet. The algorithm used behind this is AODV Routing Protocol and it operates in two different phases: Route Discovery and Route maintenance mechanism. The primary task of femtocells is to allocate the vacant spectrum to its users from the main base station by using the cognitive radio technology. Thus, the users can communicate efficiently without any drop calls even when the signal strength is very less as femtocells effectively extend the cell coverage and capacity. In this paper we have developed real time process station monitoring with control using IIoT. Moreover the parameters in the process industries like Level, Flow and temperature can be monitored and controlled using cloud storage also presented. Cloud refers to accessing computer information and software applications internet connectivity. We have used 'ThingSpeak' IoT analytics platform to aggregate, visualize and analyze all our real time readings of a process control plants. Moreover it can be implemented with LabVIEW for more flexibility. In this system the parameters like flow, temperature, pressure, level can be monitored and controlled wirelessly through wireless devices. In case of any emergency, an alarm system is used to intimate the conditions to the end user. The wireless transmitter has been incorporated in the process station to send data periodically and the receiving section consists of a Wi-fi module in order to receive the transmitted data, they are then stored in a cloud platform through which the data can be accessed as well as control wirelessly by the remote devices such as PC, mobile phones, tablets, etc. Moreover, it can be integrated to automation tools like SCADA, PLC with bidirectional mode of control to ensure operational safety and efficiency with recent automation protocols. By using sensors like collision avoidance sensors (CAS), gyroscope, accelerometer, magnetometer, barometer, range finder, helps the UAVs for anti-collision, balancing, determining speed, range respectively. By using thermal imaging camera, farmers can see which part of the field was affected by pests. By using the cameras farmers can monitor their crops, they can even survey their field. The subscriptions of mobile phones exceeded the population of the planet and are getting bigger and bigger by the pass of time. This trend leads the telecom sector to a continuous increase in electrical energy consumption. The implementation of off- grid Base Transceiver Station (BTS) was unavoidable for the providers to cover the demand in remote areas in the past years. The basic energy supply on these sites is provided by 24 hours running a diesel generator and a battery bank as a backup unit. The mentioned state means high off-grid station's operational expenditures, due to frequent diesel generator maintenance and difficulties on fuel delivery. This paper evaluates the incorporation effectiveness of a PV system, wind turbine, and fuel cell as alternative technologies of power supply on off-grid BTS. A thorough comparison between the conventional system and the hybrid solution is developed. Piezoelectric materials are one of this kind with their capability of converting mechanical energy to electrical energy and vice versa. Consciously or not we come across piezoelectric effect in our day to day life. The piezo igniter for cooking, ultrasonic parking sensors, piezo buzzer in alarm clocks and mobile phones etc. are a few to mention. Piezoelectric materials are broadly classified into naturally occurring and synthetic. Modelling of any device enables to predict its behavior based on the fundamental theory that drives it. Finite Element method is often used for the modelling of ultrasonic devices and commercial packages are available for this. In this paper we make use of the tool ANSYS 15.0 to model piezoelectric phenomenon in materials. Piezoelectric effect arises from the coupling between structural strain and internal electric fields. The coupled field analysis of ANSYS enables evaluation of interaction between two or more fields. Static, modal, harmonic and transient analyses are possible with regard to piezoelectric analysis. We present modal analysis of piezoelectric structures which enables to determine the natural frequencies and mode shapes of the structure. This paper describes a fiber extensometer system that utilizes pulse width modulation in its light source for power efficiency reason. The fiber extensometer was used to monitor displacement by intensity modulation techniques based on macro bending effects. The fiber extensometer consisted of an Arduino microcontroller; to modulate laser sources into optical pulses and to regulate data transmission; a bent fiber for displacement sensor, detector and amplifier, GSM module, antennas and power supply system which was solar cell based. The ON - OFF pulse timer from the programming using the C + language in the Arduino sets the pulse time difference ON - OFF of laser light. The modulated light was then launched to the sensor fiber, received and amplified by detector system. When displacement occurs, the diameter of the fiber bent will change as well as the sensor output. Furthermore, the microcontroller instructed the GSM module to send the output signals contain information about displacement to the user's mobile phone in the form of short message service (SMS). It was obtained that power savings that can be achieved using pulse width modulation techniques on this fiber extensometer system reached 30%, compared to that of fiber extensometers that used continuous laser. This paper presents a study on GPS Based Location Monitoring System with Geo-fencing Capabilities. This system provided a high-security system that prevents vehicles from being stolen. It also issued an alert to the user based on the boundary of the location by using the Internet of Things (IoT). In this study, the system could easily monitor and track the location of the vehicle and was able to issue an alert when the vehicle exited the geofence area. This system was separated into two parts which were the hardware and software. The hardware parts were the ESP8266 NodeMCU and GPS module while Google Maps and IoT platform were the software parts. The admin could monitor the vehicle via the computer, and the notification alert was sent to the registered email of the admin when the vehicle exited or entered the geofence area. The prototype system was tested by moving the vehicle around the geofence area. The results showed the correct location of the vehicle and email notification alert when it exited or entered the boundaries. The main cause of road traffic accidents is mostly related to the drivers’ behavior. Therefore, it is urgently needed to identify unsafe driving and to take actions to change this situation. A new approach to detect driver behavior is naturalistic driving. In this approach, drivers’ behavior is traced in everyday trips by analyzing their moving recorded GPS data through mobile phones. In this paper, a new method for warning and alert drivers about their aggressive behavior is proposed to reduce the risk of accidents due to the drivers in Myanmar. It is also expected to improve drivers’ awareness about their driving behavior as well as to notify the responsible organizations such as police stations, transportation and insurance companies about the driver’s way of driving. There are four stages in this proposed method. They are data collection, trajectory cleaning using DBScan clustering method, classification of motorized and non-motorized vehicles using J48 algorithm from Weka tool, external interference and aggressiveness evaluation and alerting. The widely available smart-phones as well as other mobile devices can be utilized as valuable compute resources with the support of the powerful and elastic paradigm of cloud computing. This is possible by performing computations of a limited scale on mobile devices and migrating or offloading complex services to the cloud. Use of mobile devices for computations will enable a plethora of applications to execute on mobile devices alone without dependence on static infrastructure. However, this entails the cost of transfer of computations to the cloud along with the cost of cloud computing resources. This paper formulates computation offloading as an optimization problem and utilizes nature-inspired approach of Grey Wolf Algorithm (GWO) to achieve near-optimal solutions. Results precisely depict that although the best cost solutions are attained by the brute force technique but the number of computations is significantly higher as compared to Grey Wolf Algorithm. Moreover with the small increase in number of tasks, there is exponential increase in number of computations. In this paper, we numerically investigate CdTe/CdS PV cell properties using a simulation program Solar Cell Capacitance Simulator in 1D (SCAPS-1D). A simple structure of CdTe PV cell has been optimized to study the effect of temperature, absorber thickness and work function at very low incident power. Objective of this research paper is to build an efficient and cost effective solar cell for portable electronic devices such as portable computers and cell phones that work at low incident power because most of such devices work at diffused and reflected sunlight. This paper reports about the measurement of the efficiency of FBAR devices. The efficiency is commonly measured in terms of the EMCC (Electromechanical coupling coefficient) and QF (Quality factor). Since the FBAR devices are designed in many shapes and sizes which depend on their working frequency range. So every shape and size has a different value of QF and EMCC. This paper compares the various shapes in terms of QF, EMCC and spurious modes of L-Band (1-2 GHz) resonator. There are many ways of performing user authentication in mobile phones. Back then, a specific button is assigned as a security lock button such as the asterisk yet major concerns on security issues over personal data stored in mobile phones have been raised. Password-based authentication took over the trend with pattern and PIN unlock being commonly used by users of mobile phones. However, these methods are still prone to fraud as unethical users tend to break the passcode using shoulder surfing or hacking. To further strengthen the security in mobile phones, biometric authentication approaches are proposed. iOS is a strong and widely used mobile device system. It’s annual profits make up about 90% of the total profits of all mobile phone brands. Though it is famous for its security, there have been many attacks on the iOS operating system, such as the Trident apt attack in 2016. So it is important to research the iOS security mechanism and understand its weaknesses and put forward targeted protection and security check framework. By studying these attacks and previous jailbreak tools, we can see that an attacker could only run a ROP code and gain kernel read and write permissions based on the ROP after exploiting kernel and user layer vulnerabilities. However, the iOS operating system is still protected by the code signing mechanism, the sandbox mechanism, and the not-writable mechanism of the system’s disk area. This is far from the steady, long-lasting control that attackers expect. Before iOS 9, breaking these security mechanisms was usually done by modifying the kernel’s important data structures and security mechanism code logic. However, after iOS 9, the kernel integrity protection mechanism was added to the 64-bit operating system and none of the previous methods were adapted to the new versions of iOS [1]. But this does not mean that attackers can not break through. Therefore, based on the analysis of the vulnerability of KPP security mechanism, this paper implements two possible breakthrough methods for kernel security mechanism for iOS9 and iOS10. Meanwhile, we propose a defense method based on kernel integrity detection and sensitive API call detection to defense breakthrough method mentioned above.
