Accordingly, the objective of Pereira et al. ([33]) with their paper is to introduce a new package for the R statistical language project, to convert data in the format of GTFS into GPS-like data. In this context, to adapt the classic framework to our current hybrid physical-virtual world, the author proposes extensions to the following core time-geographic concepts: constraints, space-time path, space-time prism, bundle, project and situation, and diorama. Hägerstrand meets big data: time-geography in the age of mobility analytics By providing convenient tools to parse GTFS data into a format like that used to store GPS traces, the package gtfs2gps can greatly simplify data-related tasks and reduce the potential for error in workflows.
