Conventional coalbed methane (CBM) reservoir models for injection fall-off testing often disregard the quadratic pressure gradient's impact. This omission leads to discrepancies in simulating the transient behavior of formation fluids and extracting critical reservoir properties. Accurate determination of permeability, storability, and other properties is crucial for effective reservoir characterization and production forecasting. Inaccurate estimations can lead to suboptimal well placement, ineffective production strategies, and ultimately, missed economic opportunities. To address this shortcoming, we present a novel analytical model that explicitly incorporates the complexities of the quadratic pressure gradient and dual-permeability flow mechanisms, prevalent in many CBM formations where nanopores are rich, presenting a kind of natural nanomaterial. This model offers significant advantages over traditional approaches. By leveraging variable substitution, it facilitates the derivation of analytical solutions in the Laplace domain, subsequently converted to real-space solutions for practical application. These solutions empower reservoir engineers to generate novel type curves, a valuable tool for analyzing wellbore pressure responses during injection fall-off tests. By identifying distinct flow regimes within the reservoir based on these type curves, engineers gain valuable insights into the dynamic behavior of formation fluids. This model goes beyond traditional approaches by investigating the influence of the quadratic pressure gradient coefficient, inter-porosity flow coefficient, and storability ratio on the pressure response. A quantitative comparison with traditional models further elucidates the key discrepancies caused by neglecting the quadratic pressure gradient. The results demonstrate the proposed model's ability to accurately depict the non-linear flow behavior observed in CBM wells. The besiege and conquer algorithm has shown excellent performance in single-objective optimization problems. However, there is no literature on the research of the BCA algorithm on multi-objective optimization problems. Therefore, this paper proposes a new multi-objective besiege and conquer algorithm to solve multi-objective optimization problems. The grid mechanism, archiving mechanism, and leader selection mechanism are integrated into the BCA to estimate the Pareto optimal solution and approach the Pareto optimal frontier. The proposed algorithm is tested with MOPSO, MOEA/D, and NSGAIII on the benchmark function IMOP and ZDT. To balance mechanical strength, friction stability, and low wear, a novel wear-resistant component system: modified sepiolite-complex ceramic powder, was employed in copper-based composite materials, leading to the successful preparation of samples with outstanding mechanical and frictional performance. The material exhibits high friction stability, low wear, and the simultaneous occurrence of a high friction coefficient, which may be caused by uniquely composed dual friction film. The external layer of the friction film consists of Cu 2 O, Fe 2 O 3 , and CaO metal-films, while the internal layer consists of B 2 O 3 film, graphite, and sepiolite. Additionally, modified sepiolite (composed of sepiolite, CaCO 3 and enstatite) plays a dual role in wear resistance and high-temperature lubrication. Typhoon trajectory related data involve many factors, such as atmospheric factors, oceanic factors, and physical factors. It has the characteristics of high dimension, strong spatio-temporal correlation, and nonlinear correlation, which increases the difficulty of typhoon trajectory prediction. Using feature selection approaches to select appropriate prediction factors becomes an important means to reduce the dimension of typhoon trajectory related data and improve the performance and accuracy of typhoon trajectory prediction methods. However, the existing feature selection methods based on linear correlation analysis cannot well depict the nonlinear correlation between data features, which results in low accuracy of feature selection. The feature selection methods based on nonlinear correlation analysis are computationally expensive, which affects the timeliness of feature selection. To solve the problem, we propose a parallel feature selection method NX-Spark-DC based on the Spark platform for typhoon trajectory related data. The method firstly filters out the redundant features of typhoon related data by normalized mutual information (NMI) method, subsequently eliminates the useless features by XGBoost machine learning model, and thus reducing the dimension of typhoon related data. On this basis, an improved Spark-based parallel distance correlation algorithm (Spark-DC) is proposed to select the feature combinations with strong correlation. Although reducing students' aggressive behaviors and improving their creativity are both important commitments of educators, they are usually treated independently as unrelated tasks. However, cumulative evidence suggests potential links between aggression and creativity, not only from the perspectives of personality traits and psychological development, but also from their shared cognitive mechanisms. This implies that there may be an approach to achieving these two goals through a single intervention. Moreover, this new approach may overcome the limitation of the usually adopted aggression intervention, which is limited in its regulatory effectiveness and might bring about some disadvantageous impacts on creativity that are closely associated with aggression. To test this possibility, the present study implemented a four‐session, 2‐week creative thinking training (CTT) intervention for students with high aggression scores to examine whether it could simultaneously downregulate aggression and increase creativity. Our results demonstrate that, compared to the control group, the intervention group experienced significant improvements in creativity and a reduction in aggression following the CTT intervention. Furthermore, our findings suggest that this regulatory effect can persist for up to 6 months. The CTT‐induced creativity change (increase) could significantly correlate with and predict the CTT‐induced aggression decrease, thus suggesting that the CTT could transform aggression into creativity. This study constructs a power switching device open-circuit fault diagnosis model for a three-level neutral point clamped inverter based on the multi-scale shuffled convolutional neural network (MSSCNN) and extracts and classifies the fault information contained in the output current of inverters. The model employs depthwise separable convolution and channel shuffle techniques to improve diagnostic accuracy and reduce model complexity. The experimental results show that the new model has lower model complexity, better noise resistance and higher average diagnostic accuracy compared with fault diagnosis models based on CNN, ResNet, ShuffleNet V2 and Mobilenet V3 networks. Efficient aircraft turnaround operations at airports are vital to ensure overall air traffic network performance. After the outbreak of COVID-19, the traditional aircraft ground handling process has changed significantly due to new requirements put forward by the pandemic prevention and control policy. To better understand how COVID-19 has affected ground handling operations, a discrete-event simulation model of turnaround is established to analyze the change in the whole turnaround process before and after the pandemic. The critical path of turnaround operations was used to identify the significantly affected subprocesses to which airports should pay attention. For a case study on the two busiest airports in China, the aircraft turnaround time increased by about 18% after COVID-19. Cabin cleaning, catering, and passenger embarking were the main processes in causing this increase. Photocatalytic H2O2 generation is compelling for sustainable solar-to-chemical conversion, but it is an emerging challenge to realize efficient conversion without the consumption of any alcohols. Also, the in-depth mechanism for the structure-induced activity enhancement is still unclear but remains pivotal for practical application. Herein, cyano groups and S atoms were collectively introduced into carbon nitride (MTCN), and the vital roles and detailed mechanism were investigated. Specifically, MTCN exhibited a laudable H2O2 generation of 68.12 mM gcat−1 h−1, together with an apparent quantum yield of 49.01% at 420 nm. Intriguingly, it was observed that the existence of some contaminants can promote H2O2 generation and, in turn, accelerate degradation. Additionally, it is revealed that the S atoms and cyano group could facilitate oxygen adsorption and H+ adsorption, respectively. This study shows a promising strategy to construct modified g-C3N4 and exhibits a clear mechanism for H2O2 generation paired with simultaneous contaminant treatment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Summary: This study aimed to investigate how kombucha bacterial cellulose (KBC) affects the characteristics of dough. Wheat flour was substituted with different proportions of KBC (0%, 1%, 3%, 5%, 7%, and 9%), and the chemical components of KBC and the mixed powder were analysed at various substitution levels. The findings indicated that using KBC led to extended durations and enhanced stability of dough formation, decreased degree of weakening, increased relaxing time, and significantly reduced peak viscosity, trough viscosity, and final viscosity. Additionally, the process of gelatinisation was impeded. Unlike other dietary fibres, adding low amounts of KBC to flour and dough not only maintains their quality but also improved many other characteristics. When added in low quantities of 1% and 3%, KBC improved various dough properties, including enhancing gluten strength, stabilising the gluten structure, and improving viscoelasticity. The South Jingyang tableland, located in Shaanxi Province, China, is composed of loess deposits. Agricultural irrigation in this area has caused the continuous rise of the groundwater table, which triggered a series of loess landslides. Although extensive research has been conducted on the effect of rising groundwater tables on induced loess landslides, less is known about the groundwater table distribution. This study jointly investigated the distribution of the groundwater table in the South Jingyang tableland using boreholes, electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), and laboratory tests. A qualitative analysis between the apparent resistivity and the water content was estimated at different depths, using the borehole data and ERT inversion data. A quantitative relationship between the resistivity and the water content was established in the laboratory tests. A combination of the qualitative analysis of the inversion results and the quantitative relationship was used to determine the distribution of the groundwater table. The groundwater table is present at the depth where the water content of the loess is 30% (liquid limit of loess) and the resistivity is 28.35 Ω m. The groundwater table elevation in the southern study area is higher than that of the northern study area and decreases in a stepwise gradient from south to north. This study not only identified the distribution of the groundwater table in the South Jingyang tableland, but also makes up for the limitation and inaccuracy in determining groundwater tables by relying solely on the borehole information or inversion results of ERT. BACKGROUND: Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a polyaromatic semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymer with mechanical and lubrication properties favorable for biomedical applications. Despite of its aesthetic appearance, ceramic brackets are unsatisfactory in brittleness and thickness, while PEEK is a potential material for aesthetic orthodontic brackets. OBJECTIVE: To fabricate a novel aesthetic orthodontic bracket and evaluate friction properties of PEEK and stainless steel wires. METHODS: All polyether ether ketone (PEEK) and ceramic samples disks were made into disks (diameter, 5 mm; thickness, 2 mm). The tested surfaces of PEEK were ground with #600, #800 and #1200 SiC papers, followed by polishing with Sof-Lex kit (3M ESPE, USA). The surface roughness was tested using a laser profilometer device (VK-X200, Keyence, Japan). The COFs of the specimens and stainless steel (SS) archwires were tested using a Universal Micro-Tribotester (UMT-3, Bruker, USA). The wear scratches on the materials' surfaces were examined by using a scanning electron microscope (SEM) (Hitachi SU8010). The elastic modulus and hardness of samples were examined with a nano-indenter (XP, Keysight Technologies, USA). RESULTS: The mean surface roughness of PEEK and Ceramic are 0.320 ± 0.028 μ m and 0.343 ± 0.044 μ m, respectively. PEEK has a lower Friction coefficient than Ceramic and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The abrasive wear of Ceramic was the main wear style and was characterized by the observation of chipping fractures, while PEEK surface looked smooth without obvious scale-like desquamations and granular debris, indicating adhesive wear. CONCLUSION: Within the limitations of the present study, PEEK shows lower coefficient of friction than ceramic. PEEK has excellent properties such as low friction coefficient, smooth surface and good mechanical properties, and thus meets the requirements for orthodontic brackets. BACKGROUND: The minimally invasive endodontics could retain more peri-cervical dentin (PCD) and other important dental structures, thus realizing the minimal loss of teeth structures and preserving the strength and function of the endodontically treated tooth (ETT). The search for abnormal root canals or calcified root canals could be quite time-consuming and increase the risk of perforation. OBJECTIVE: This study introduced a novel multifunctional 3D printing guided splint inspired by the dice, which can achieve the minimally invasive access cavity preparation and canal orifice identification. METHOD: Data were collected from an outpatient with dens invaginatus. Cone-beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) revealed a type III invagination. The CBCT data of the patient were imported into a computer-aided design (CAD) software (Exocad 3.0; Exocad GmbH) for the 3D reconstruction of jaw bones and teeth. The dice-inspired 3D printing guided splint consists of the sleeve and guided splint. The sleeve with minimal invasive opening channel and orifice locating channel were designed with a reverse-engineering software (Geomagic Wrap 2021). The reconstructed models in the Standard Template Library (STL) format were imported into a CAD software. The design of the template was aided by the dental CAD software in Splint Design Mode. The sleeve and splint were exported into the STL files separately. A 3D printer (ProJet ® 3600 3D Systems) was used to separately generate the sleeve and guided splint, and was made by stereolithography and processed in a medical resin (VisiJet M3 StonePlast). RESULTS: The novel multifunctional 3D printing guided splint could be set in position. The opening side in the sleeve was selected and the sleeve was inserted in place. The minimal invasive opening was made in the crown of the tooth to access the pulp. The sleeve was draw out and turned to the orifice location side, and then inserted in place. The target orifice was located rapidly. CONCLUSION: This novel dice-inspired multifunctional 3D printing guided splint allow dental practitioners to gain accurate, conservative, and safe cavity access from teeth with anatomical malformations. Complex operations might be carried out with less reliance on the operator's experience than with conventional access preparations. Visual perception plays a crucial role in foraging, avoiding predators, mate selection, and communication. The regulation of color vision is largely dependent on opsin, which is the first step in the formation of the visual transduction cascade in photoreceptor cells. Short-wave-sensitive 1 (sws1) is a visual pigment that mediates short-wavelength light transduction in vertebrates. The depletion of sws1 resulted in increased M-opsin in mice. However, there is still no report on the visual function of sws1 in teleost fish. Here, we constructed the sws1 knockout medaka using CRISPR/Cas9 technology. The 6 dph (days post-hatching) medaka sws1−/− larvae exhibited significantly decreased food intake and total length at the first feeding stage, and the mRNA levels of orexigenic genes (npy and agrp) were significantly upregulated after feeding. The swimming speed was significantly reduced during the period of dark-light transition stimulation in the sws1-mutant larvae. Histological analysis showed that the thickness of the lens was reduced, whereas the thickness of the ganglion cell layer (GCL) was significantly increased in sws1−/− medaka larvae. Additionally, the deletion of sws1 decreased the mRNA levels of genes involved in phototransduction (gnb3b, grk7a, grk7b, and pde6c). We also observed increased retinal cell apoptosis and oxidative stress in sws1 knockout medaka larvae. Collectively, these results suggest that sws1 deficiency in medaka larvae may impair visual function and cause retinal cell apoptosis, which is associated with the downregulation of photoconduction expression and oxidative stress. To alleviate the issues of matrix softening and excessive wear faced by copper-based composites matched with C/C–SiC disc during high-speed braking, the research was conducted to investigate the impact of composite ceramic (TiC–B 4 C, TB) powder on copper matrix composites prepared through conventional powder metallurgy method. TiC–B 4 C powder was produced using the high-energy ball milling method, and a suitable milling time (48 h) was established to obtain the maximum disorder degree. The results revealed that TB2 (6% TB) had the highest densification and the best mechanical and thermal performance, as compared to other composites. However, there were differences in tribological properties, with TB4 (10% TB) achieving the maximum friction coefficient, while TB2 (6% TB) exhibited more stable friction performance. As the TB powder content increased, larger tribo-films were formed on the worn surface. However, the influence of TB powder content (less than 10% TB) on friction performance was mainly due to mechanical strength and structural tightness, rather than the formation of tribo-films. The friction layer consisted of three parts: the top nanostructure layer composed of nanoparticles (C, Cu, Fe, B, O, and Ti), the middle tribo-film composed of graphite and B 2 O 3 , and the lower elastic deformation zone. Introduction: Acute lung injury (ALI) is a common and rapidly developing critical inflammatory lung disease in clinic. This study investigated the predictive value of lncRNA UCA1, extravascular lung water index (EVLWI), and lung ultrasound score (LUS) in predicting the overall outcome of patients with ALI. Methods: Patients with ALI were recruited for detecting the content of UCA1, EVLWI, and LUS. All patients were cataloged into the survival group and death group according to the prognosis. The discrepancy of UCA1, EVLWI, and LUS was compared in the two groups. The prognostic significance of UCA1, EVLWI, LUS, and their combination was estimated by logistic regression and the receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results: The levels of UCA1, LUS, and EVLWI were elevated in the death group compared with the survival group. The content of UCA1 was positively correlated with LUS scores and EVLWI scores. UCA1, LUS, and EVLWI were independent indicators of predicting the prognosis of patients with ALI. The ROC curve reflected that UCA1, LUS, and EVLWI could forecast the endpoint events of patients with ALI whereas their combined approach had the highest accuracy. Conclusion: Highly expressed UCA1 is a biomarker in forecasting the outcome of patients with ALI. Novel coronavirus pneumonia in 17 city (Hubei) provinces was analyzed by using the principle of thermodynamics. A thermodynamic imaging model of infectious diseases was established to calculate the cumulative superimposed density of epidemic in 17 cities (prefectures). An evaluation rule of urban risk grade is established and evaluates the COVID-19 risk of 17 cities. The results show that (1) the higher the superimposed density of urban epidemic, the more infected people. (2) In the incubation stage, the thermodynamic imaging shows a point distribution, random walk, and outward diffusion trend. In the initial stage, the color of thermodynamic imaging gradually deepened and the range gradually expanded. During the burst stage, the thermodynamic imaging color deepens rapidly and the scope expands rapidly. In the stable stage, the thermodynamic imaging color becomes darkest and the range is extended to the pole. (3) According to the situation of COVID-19 transmission in Hubei Province, the cumulative superimposed density of Wuhan epidemic is far more than 10,000, ranking as "highest-risk." Xiaogan and other 10 cities have a cumulative superimposed density within the range of [1000, 10,000], ranking as "high-risk." Shiyan and other 5 cities have accumulated superimposed density values within the range of [100, 1000], ranking as "medium-risk." The medaka (Oryzias latipes) is an excellent vertebrate model for studying the development of the retina. Its genome database is complete, and the number of opsin genes is relatively small compared to zebrafish. Short wavelength sensitive 2 (sws2), a G-protein-coupled receptor expressed in the retina, has been lost in mammals, but its role in eye development in fish is still poorly understood. In this study, we established a sws2a and sws2b knockout medaka model by CRISPR/Cas9 technology. We discovered that medaka sws2a and sws2b are mainly expressed in the eyes and may be regulated by growth differentiation factor 6a (gdf6a). Compared with the WT, sws2a−/− and sws2b−/− mutant larvae displayed an increase in swimming speed during the changes from light to dark. We also observed that sws2a−/− and sws2b−/− larvae both swam faster than WT in the first 10 s of the 2 min light period. The enhanced vision-guided behavior in sws2a−/− and sws2b−/− medaka larvae may be related to the upregulation of phototransduction-related genes. Additionally, we also found that sws2b affects the expression of eye development genes, while sws2a is unaffected. Together, these findings indicate that sws2a and sws2b knockouts increase vision-guided behavior and phototransduction, but on the other hand, sws2b plays an important role in regulating eye development genes. To develop environmentally friendly and high‐performance supercapacitors, the low‐cost, high‐capacitance renewable electrode material is at present viewed as one of the most challenging tasks for obtaining the next‐generation of energy storage devices. Therefore, in this study, Celery leaves, a common biomass vegetable, are used to prepare activated carbon for high voltage and high‐capacity supercapacitors through a simple method. Due to their high surface area and abundant nitrogen and sulfur heteroatoms, hierarchically porous carbon materials can simultaneously realize high capacity and long‐cycling durability. The specific capacitance has been recorded to be up to 753.0 F g−1 at 0.5 A g−1 with capacity retention as high as 96.7 % even after 5,000 cycles. Also, the assembled symmetric cell provided a high energy density of 17.36 Wh kg−1 at 250 W kg−1. The effects of yellow and green colors and different activation temperatures on the properties of electrode materials were systematically studied. The results showed an excellent electrochemical performance in biomass carbon electrode materials, which would facilitate the development of a high‐quality energy system and a green supercapacitor. Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common degenerative bone and joint disease that can lead to disability and severely affect the quality of life of patients. However, its etiology and pathogenesis remain unclear. It is currently believed that articular cartilage lesions are an important marker of the onset and development of osteoarthritis. Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are a class of multifunctional regulatory RNAs that are involved in various physiological functions. There are many differentially expressed lncRNAs between osteoarthritic and normal cartilage tissues that play multiple roles in the pathogenesis of OA. Here, we reviewed lncRNAs that have been reported to play regulatory roles in the pathological changes associated with osteoarthritic cartilage and their potential as biomarkers and a therapeutic target in OA to further elucidate the pathogenesis of OA and provide insights for the diagnosis and treatment of OA. Agricultural irrigation of the South Jingyang tableland in Shaanxi Province, China has led to a continuous rise of the groundwater level and has triggered a series of loess landslides, thereby seriously affecting the life and property safety of local residents. Research shows that the major cause of the landslide in the loess layer of the South Jingyang tableland is the rising groundwater level. Therefore, the research on the formation mechanism of landslide in this area should include the investigation of the stratigraphic structure and groundwater level distribution characteristics. On this basis, a series of approaches, such as electrical resistivity tomography (ERT), borehole, and laboratory tests, was carried out on the South Jingyang tableland, and the groundwater level distribution and stratigraphic structure in the study area were determined. The qualitative relationship between resistivity value and water content at different depths was detected using the inversion results of ERT and borehole data. Through laboratory tests, the quantitative relationship between resistivity values under different water contents was established. The precise depth of the groundwater level was inferred by connecting the qualitative relationship with the quantitative relationship, and then a detailed 3D geological model was established by linking the inversion results of ERT with the field borehole lithology data and geological survey data. The detection results show that when the qualitative and quantitative analyses of the ERT inversion results were combined, the distribution of the groundwater level was accurately judged. The ERT is effective in reflecting the stratigraphic structure and hydrological characteristics of the Loess Plateau, and its potential as a supplementary technology for detecting the groundwater level is reasonable. This study addresses the limitation and inaccuracy in determining the stratum structure and groundwater level by solely relying on borehole information or ERT. The established 3D geological model not only provides a basis for the study of groundwater table fluctuation, but also a technical guidance for the stability evaluation of loess slope, landslide prediction, and early warning in the study area. Carbohydrates are the most economical source of energy in fish feeds, but most fish have limited ability to utilize carbohydrates. It has been reported that phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase 1 (pck1) is involved in carbohydrate metabolism, lipid metabolism, and other metabolic processes. However, direct evidence is lacking to fully understand the relationship between pck1 and glucose and lipid metabolism. Here, we generated a pck1 knockout zebrafish by CRISPR/cas9 system, and a high-carbohydrate diet was provided to 60 days post-fertilization (dpf) for 8 weeks. We found that pck1-deficient zebrafish displayed decreased plasma glucose, elevated mRNA levels of glycolysis-related genes (gck, pfk, pk), and reduced the transcriptional levels of gluconeogenic genes (pck1, fbp1a) in liver. We also found decreased triglyceride, total cholesterol, and lipid accumulation and in pck1−/− zebrafish, along with downregulation of genes for lipolysis (acaca) and lipogenesis (cpt1). In addition, the observation of HE staining revealed that the total muscle area of pck1−/− was substantially less than that of WT zebrafish and real-time PCR suggested that GH/IGF-1 signaling (ulk2, stat1b) may be suppressed in pck1-deficient fish. Taken together, these findings suggested that pck1 may play an important role in the high-carbohydrate diet utilization of fish and significantly affected lipid metabolism and protein synthesis in zebrafish. pck1 knockout mutant line could facilitate a further mechanism study of pck1-associated metabolic regulation and provide new information for improving carbohydrate utilization traits. High-speed rail brake pads mainly face the lack of stability of tribological performance under high temperature. An effective approach that is often employed is to reinforce copper-based powder metallurgy (PM) with single ceramic particle to obtain superior properties. In this paper, preparation of the dual ceramic particles (B 4 C–TiC) reinforced copper-based PM by powder metallurgy route, and paired as friction discs using the self-made carbon-ceramic composite. Influence of synergistic strengthening effect of B 4 C and TiC on tribological behavior and wear mechanisms were investigated. The result reveals that the more content of TiC (less 5%) in B 4 C–TiC, the greater the performance improvement, especially when the ratio of TiC/B 4 C is 5:3, the copper-based PM obtains exceptional mechanical and thermal performance, but different tribological behavior at different braking speed. The main factor affecting the tribological behavior at middle-speed (4500 rpm) is TiC, while is B 4 C at high-speed (6000 rpm) due to the generation of B 2 O 3 tribo-film. With the ratio of TiC/B 4 C increases, the generation of B 2 O 3 tribo-film goes through a change of first increased to the maximum, and then disappeared. While wear mechanism of copper-based PM goes through the transitional stage from abrasive wear to slight oxidative wear, severe oxidative wear, abrasive wear and adhesive wear, respectively. At present, the research on the prediction of the remaining useful life (RUL) of machinery mainly focuses on multi-sensor feature extraction and then uses the features to predict RUL. In complex operations and multiple abnormal environments, the impact of noise may result in increased model complexity and decreased accuracy of RUL predictions. At the same time, how to use the sensor characteristics of time is also a problem. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes a dual-channel long short-term memory (LSTM) neural network model. Compared with the existing methods, the advantage of this method is to adaptively select the time feature and then perform first-order processing on the time feature value and use LSTM to extract the time feature and first-order time feature information. As the RUL curve predicted by the neural network is zigzag, we creatively designed a momentum-smoothing module to smooth the predicted RUL curve and improve the prediction accuracy. Pueraria lobata (known as Gegen) is an edible and medicinal herb that is a nutritious medicine food homology plant in China. Previous studies indicated that P. lobata plays an essential role in controlling cytokines. However, the exact mechanism of the inflammation response is still unknown. In this study, we observed the uptake of P. lobata-derived exosomes (Exos) in isolated mouse macrophages. Our results show that P. lobata-derived Exos shift M1 macrophages toward the M2. These data present that P. lobata and puerarin might exert and enhance anti-inflammatory effects through the activation of exosomes and shifts in macrophage polarization, providing strong evidence for the application of P. lobata as novel an anti-inflammatory therapeutic biomaterial. Background: The receptor for advanced glycation end products (RAGE) plays an important role in obesity-associated insulin sensitivity. We have also previously reported that RAGE deficiency improved insulin resistance in obesity-induced adipose tissue. The current study was aimed to elucidate the sex-specific mechanism of RAGE deficiency in adipose tissue metabolic regulation and systemic glucose homeostasis. Methods: RAGE-deficient (RAGE−/−) mice were fed a high-fat diet (HFD) and subjected to glucose and insulin tolerance tests. Subcutaneous adipose tissue (sAT) was collected, and macrophage polarization was assessed by quantitative real-time PCR. Immunoblotting was performed to evaluate the insulin signaling in adipose tissues. Results: Under HFD feeding conditions, body weight and adipocyte size of female RAGE deficient (RAGE−/−) were markedly lower than that of male mice. Female RAGE−/− mice showed significantly improved glucose and insulin tolerance compared to male RAGE−/− mice, accompanied with increased M2 macrophages polarization. Expressions of genes involved in anti-oxidant and browning were up-regulated in adipose tissues of female RAGE−/− mice. Moreover, insulin-induced AKT phosphorylation was significantly elevated in adipose tissue in female RAGE−/− mice compared to male RAGE−/− mice. Conclusions: Our findings suggest that RAGE-mediated adipose tissue insulin resistance is sex-specific, which is associated with different expression of genes involved in anti-oxidant and browning and insulin-induced AKT phosphorylation. BACKGROUND: Surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) substrates based on metallic nanoparticles locked in some flexible materials have great potential for rapid detection of pesticide residues in foods, but these substrates are generally not reusable. RESULTS: A bendable and reusable sponge based on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and Au nanospheres was synthesized and employed as SERS substrate to analyze thiram on the surfaces of apples and grapes (20–1000 ng cm−2) and in their juices (0.5–5.0 mg L−1) with minimum sample pretreatments. The lowest detectible concentrations for thiram in fruit juices and on fruit skins were 0.5 mg L−1 and 20 ng cm−2, respectively. The Au‐PDMS substrate had acceptable intra‐reproducibility for SERS analysis of thiram in fruit juices and on fruit skins, resulting in 3.6–16.9% relative standard deviation (RSD) for the SERS signal of the primary peak of thiram. Moreover, the Au‐PDMS substrate exhibited distinguished reusability and stability, which could provide a reproducible SERS signal of thiram in apple juice even after the substrate being reused ten times (RSDs for the three major characteristic peaks of thiram were 2.7–10.5% during the ten reused cycles). The time-series data generated by turbofan engines has a great degree of complexity and dynamics. At present, recurrent neural networks are commonly used to model and forecast the remaining useful life (RUL). The relationship of the sample data is not taken into account, and there are issues such as gradient explosion. In view of this, a spatio-temporal attention model is proposed, which comprehensively relates to the temporal association of data features and the hidden state of data features in space. At the same time, position coding is performed on the temporal relationship, avoiding the use of recurrent neural networks. Experimental results show that by combining the two dimensions, the predictive performance of the model is significantly improved. Compared with different methods on the four data sets of the commercial modular aerospace propulsion system simulation (C-MAPSS), the stability and prediction accuracy of the spatio-temporal attention model are better than that of alternative methods. To enhance the bonding capability of composite ceramic powder and subsequently improve the friction stability of copper-based composite materials, B 4 C-SiC ceramic powder modified at different temperatures was used. The results indicate that elevating the modification temperature of ceramic powder promotes faster growth of particles and enhances inter-particle bonding. The mechanical properties of the copper-based composite material are significantly improved, particularly at 1400 °C, owing to the filling of pores and the particle reinforcement effect of ceramic. Meanwhile, the friction coefficient and wear exhibit a gradual increase, mainly caused by the formation of microasperities from larger ceramic particles and sepiolite, leading to changes in the friction-film and friction mechanism. Background and Purpose. A large number of pharmacological experiments have proved that many components of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. have neuroprotective, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects. Middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) models treated with Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. can significantly reduce the infarct size and change the pathological morphology of brain tissue. However, not only the internal mechanism but also the material basis is unclear to researchers. Our research aims to elucidate the potential effective material basis and molecular internal mechanism between Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. and stroke. Methods. In this study, SymMap was used to screen the 50 bioactive scored components and 65 putative targets of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge., and their targets were standardized using the UniProt platform. The disease targets related to stroke were collected by comparative toxicogenomics database (CTD), GeneCards, and quantitative structure-activity relationships-TargetNet (QSAR-TargetNet). Thereafter, the protein-protein interaction (PPI) network was constructed using the STRING platform and visualized by Cytoscape (3.8.2) software. Then, the Metascape platform was used to analyze the Gene Ontology (GO) enrichment analysis and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway. Cytoscape (3.7.2) software was also used to construct the network of the "herb-component-target-pathway." We found that Tanshinol B, Tanshinol A, Przewaquinone C, Tanshinone II, and other main components of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. may regulate neurotransmitters and neurological function. Therefore, we speculate Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. has a neuroprotective effect. For further verification, potential core targets (STAT3, MMP2, ESR1, TERT, and MMP9 proteins) for ischemic stroke and core active ingredients (Tanshinol A, Tanshinol B, Tanshinone II A, and Przewaquinone C) for Salvia miltiorrhiza Bge. were further verified by molecular docking. As one of the most successful group of organisms, mammals occupy a variety of niches on Earth as a result of macroevolution. Transcription factors (TFs), the fundamental regulators of gene expression, may also have evolved. To examine the relationship between TFs and mammalian macroevolution, we analyzed 140,821 de novo-identified TFs and their birth and death histories from 96 mammalian species. Gene tree vs. species tree reconciliation revealed that placental mammals experienced an upsurge in TF losses around 100 million years ago (Mya) and also near the Cretaceous–Paleogene boundary (K–Pg boundary, 66 Mya). Early Euarchontoglires, Laurasiatheria and marsupials appeared between 100 and 95 Mya and underwent initial diversification. The K-Pg boundary was associated with the massive extinction of dinosaurs, which lead to adaptive radiation of mammals. Surprisingly, TF loss decelerated, rather than accelerated, molecular evolutionary rates of their target genes. As the rate of molecular evolution is affected by the mutation rate, the proportion of neutral mutations and the population size, the decrease in molecular evolution may reflect increased functional constraints to survive target genes. Background: Disorders of sex development (DSD) are congenital disorders in which the development of the chromosomal, gonadal, or anatomical sex is atypical. Mutations in various genes can impede gonadal development, hormone synthesis, or hormone function and cause DSD. Methods: Exome sequencing was performed for two siblings with 46,XY DSD. All mutations identified by exome sequencing were confirmed by Sanger sequencing. Results: The 13-month-old younger sibling had a female appearance of the external genital with a clitoris that was assessed as Prader III and scored 2 in the external masculinization score evaluative test. The 16-year-old elder sibling had severe hypospadias. Exome sequencing revealed compound heterozygous mutations in exon 3 of DHH in the siblings with 46,XY DSD. The frameshift mutation (NM_021044.3: c.602delC) was derived from the father and was predicted to be deleterious. The (c.937G > T) substitution mutation was derived from the mother. Conclusions: Novel compound heterozygous mutations of DHH led to 46,XY DSD in two siblings. This study expands the phenotypic mutation spectra of DHH in patients with 46,XY DSD. It is unknown what determines genetic diversity and how genetic diversity is associated with various biological traits. In this work, we provide insight into these issues. By comparing genetic variation of 14,671 mammalian gene trees with thousands of individual human, chimpanzee, gorilla, mouse, and dog/wolf genomes, we found that intraspecific genetic diversity can be predicted by long-term molecular evolutionary rates rather than de novo mutation rates. This relationship was established during the early stage of mammalian evolution. Moreover, we developed a method to detect fluctuations of species-specific selection on genes based on the deviations of intraspecific genetic diversity predicted from long-term rates. We showed that the evolution of epithelial cells, rather than connective tissue, mainly contributed to morphological evolution of different species. Rational design and manufacture of encapsulated Pt@HCS catalysts for efficient benzene elimination under SO 2 containing conditions. [Display omitted] • Pt nanoparticles are uniformly encapsulated in a hollow carbon shell. • Pt@HCS shows excellent benzene oxidation properties, even in the presence of SO 2 , the benzene conversion rate can be stable at 100% for a long time. • The porous hollow carbon sphere structure significantly enhances the adsorption of benzene. • The abundant OH groups on the carbon shell surface preferentially capture SO 2 and prevent it from entering the interior of the catalyst. In the catalytic combustion of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) using noble metal catalysts, resistance to SO 2 poisoning poses a significant challenge. To tackle this problem, Pt nanoparticle catalysts encapsulated in hollow carbon spheres (Pt@HCS catalysts) are synthesized. The Pt@HCS catalyst exhibits excellent benzene conversion, achieving 100 % conversion at 165 °C under an air velocity of 20,000 mL/(g h). Compared to the conventional supported Pt/HCS catalyst, the Pt@HCS catalyst demonstrates a significantly improved resistance to SO 2 poisoning. In the presence of 25 ppm SO 2 , the Pt@HCS catalyst is capable of maintaining a 100 % benzene conversion rate within 24 h, whereas the conversion rate of Pt/HCS drops substantially to approximately 52 %. It is confirmed that the hollow porous structure provided a larger specific surface area and more adsorption sites, thereby facilitating benzene oxidation. More importantly, in situ DRIFTS reveals that the adsorption and desorption processes of SO 2 , along with the generation of substances like SO 3 2−, are strictly limited to the surface of the carbon shell, thereby preserving the integrity of the internal reaction environment. Multiple characterizations combined with density functional theory (DFT) have demonstrated a unique separation effect over Pt@HCS, whereby the hydroxyl groups on the carbon shell preferentially capture SO 2 while allowing benzene molecules to enter the cavities of the catalyst. In this way, any internal ingress of SO 2 and competition with benzene for Pt adsorption is effectively avoided. Changing precipitation patterns and global warming have greatly changed winter snow cover, which can affect litter decomposition process by altering soil microenvironment or microbial biomass and activity. However, it remains unknown how and to what extent snow cover affects litter decomposition during winter and over longer periods of time. Here, we conducted a meta-analysis to synthesize litter decomposition studies under different levels of snow cover. Overall, deepened snow significantly enhanced litter decomposition rate and mass loss by 17% and 3%, respectively. Deepened snow enhanced litter carbon loss by 7% but did not impact the loss of litter nitrogen or phosphorus. Deepened snow increased soil temperature, decreased the frequency of freeze-thaw cycles, and stimulated microbial biomass carbon and bacterial biomass during winter, but had no effect on these parameters in summer. The promoting effect of deepened snow cover on litter decomposition in winter is mainly due to its positive effect on microbial decomposition by increasing soil temperature and reducing freeze-thaw cycles exceeded its negative effect on physical fragmentation of litter by reducing freeze-thaw cycles. In recent years, numerous low earth orbit (LEO) satellites have been launched for different scientific tasks such as the Earth's magnetic field, gravity recovering and ocean altimetry. The LEO satellites can cover the ocean area and are less affected by atmospheric delays and multipath errors, which provides new opportunities for calibrating the phase biases of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). In this contribution, we propose an alternative approach for uncalibrated phase delay (UPD) estimation by making full use of onboard observations of LEO satellites. Stable wide-lane (WL) and narrow-lane (NL) UPDs can be obtained from spaceborne GNSS observations and agree well with the UPD products derived from 106 IGS stations. To further verify the feasibility of the proposed method for UPD estimation, zero-difference (ZD) ambiguity resolution (AR) for precise point positioning (PPP) and LEO precise orbit determination (POD) are implemented. After applying the LEO-based UPDs, the averaged convergence time for PPP AR can be reduced to 15.2 min, with an improvement of 24% compared to float solutions. As for LEO AR, the fixing rates of WL and NL ambiguities exceed 98 and 92%, respectively. The accuracies of ambiguity-fixed orbits are validated by comparing with external satellite laser ranging (SLR) and K-band ranging (KBR) observations. Compared to float solutions, the standard deviations (STDs) of SLR residuals can be reduced by 8 ~ 43%, and the KBR residuals of 3.75 mm can be achieved for fixed solutions using LEO-based UPDs, with an improvement of 60%. Although the current UPD results derived from LEO satellites are slightly worse than those of ground-based UPD, it is anticipated that the performance of LEO-based UPD can be further improved in the near future with the rapidly increasing number of LEO satellites and the continuous refinements of the POD method. This paper presents a temperature compensation method based on the genetic algorithm (GA) and backpropagation (BP) neural network to reduce the temperature induced error of the spin-exchange relaxation-free (SERF) co-magnetometer. The fluctuation of the cell temperature results in the variation of the optical rotation angle and the probe light absorption. The temperature fluctuation of the magnetic field shielding layer induces the variation of the magnetic field. In addition, one of the causes of light power variation is temperature fluctuation of the optical element. In summary, temperature fluctuations cause a variety of SERF co-magnetometer errors, and the relationship between these errors and temperature fluctuations has the characteristics of time-variance and non-linearity. There are two kinds of methods to suppress these errors. One way is to reduce temperature fluctuations of the SERF co-magnetometer. However, this method requires additional hardware and high cost, which are not suitable for miniaturization and low cost applications. Another effective method to suppress nonlinear and time-varying errors is to utilize intelligent algorithms for temperature compensation. In this paper, the BP neural network is applied for temperature compensation, and the GA is utilized to overcome the disadvantages of the BP neural network. The training data were obtained by changing the ambient temperature of the SERF co-magnetometer. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this work can significantly improve the accuracy of the co-magnetometer at complex ambient temperatures, and the stability of the SERF co-magnetometer at room temperature can be improved by at least 45%. Changes in intestinal microbiota have been linked to the development of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). In order to better elucidate the relationship between intestinal microbiota changes and IBS-D, we compared fecal microbiota of IBS-D rats and healthy control using pyrosequencing of bacterial 16S rRNA gene targeted. Furthermore, we explored the effects of different traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) on intestinal microbiota of IBS-D in dose-dependent manner. Our results showed that there was no significant difference in fecal microbial community diversity among the healthy control group, IBS-D rats and IBS-D rats treated with traditional Chinese medicine, but the fecal microbial composition at different taxonomic levels have changed among these groups. Interestingly, the weight of IBS-D rats treated with moderate doses (13.4 g/kg) of TCM increased significantly, and the diarrhea-related symptoms improved significantly, which may be related to the enrichment in Deferribacteres, Proteobacteria, Tenericutes, Lachnospiraceae, and Ruminococcaceae and the reduction in Lactobacillus in fecal samples. By incorporating the dual ceramic elements TiB 2 /B 4 C, we investigated their impact on the mechanical properties, thermal properties, and friction performance of copper-based powder metallurgy materials, and elucidated the friction wear mechanism. Additionally, machine learning algorithms were employed to predict the friction coefficient and stability coefficient. The conclusions are as follows:With the increase in the TiB 2 /B 4 C ratio, the trend of mechanical properties initially increases and then decreases, with the optimum ratio being 5:3 for TiB 2 and B 4 C, exhibiting superior mechanical properties. Moreover, B 4 C enhances the thermal conductivity of copper-based friction materials more effectively than TiB 2. In terms of overall friction performance, the ratio of TiB 2 to B 4 C at 5:3 yields better frictional properties. The primary components of the friction surface friction film are CuO, Cu 2 O, Fe 2 O 3 , and B 2 O 3 , transitioning from a ceramic film to a metallic film as the TiB 2 /B 4 C ratio increases. The friction wear mechanism shifts from abrasive wear to severe fatigue wear as the TiB 2 /B 4 C ratio increases, accompanied by oxidative wear. Furthermore, an AdaBoost algorithm model was developed to effectively predict the friction coefficient and stability coefficient, with accuracies of 0.9993 and 0.8739, respectively. Both M‐N and N‐C bonds are broken, resulting in the gradual hydrogenation and dissolution of N in the form of ammonia. The residual M is finally converted to M‐containing core–shell nanoparticles after sequential dissolution, redeposition, and electro‐reduction. The destruction of the M‐N‐C structure and the formation of nanoparticles greatly affect the electrocatalytic performance. The Tree-Seed Algorithm (TSA) has been effective in addressing a multitude of optimization issues. However, it has faced challenges with early convergence and difficulties in managing high-dimensional, intricate optimization problems. To tackle these shortcomings, this paper introduces a TSA variant (DTSA). DTSA incorporates a suite of methodological enhancements that significantly bolster TSA's capabilities. It introduces the PSO-inspired seed generation mechanism, which draws inspiration from Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) to integrate velocity vectors, thereby enhancing the algorithm's ability to explore and exploit solution spaces. Moreover, DTSA's adaptive velocity adaptation mechanism based on count parameters employs a counter to dynamically adjust these velocity vectors, effectively curbing the risk of premature convergence and strategically reversing vectors to evade local optima. The investigation of an artificial photosynthesis system for contaminant treatment and consecutive hydrogen peroxide formation is imperative but challenging, whereas the conversion efficiency is relatively low and far away from the demand for social development. Herein, oxygen and sulphur were collectively introduced into carbon nitride nanosheets (OSCN), together with sufficient edge and basal plane active sites. The as-synthesized sample could achieve a degradation efficiency of 84% for 100 mg/L tetracycline hydrochloride, together with simultaneous hydrogen peroxide production of 366 μmol g−1 h−1 under environmentally friendly neutral conditions. Intriguingly, the addition of tetracycline hydrochloride can accelerate hydrogen peroxide generation, which thus in turn speed up tetracycline hydrochloride degradation. It was revealed that the optimized electronic structure, promoted light-harvesting, and enhanced charge carriers separation capacity are conducive for the synchronous oxygen reduction and contaminant oxidation procedure in large measure. Furthermore, the degradation and hydrogen peroxide generation can be maintained even after 15 cycles, demonstrating the stability of OSCN and its possibility for practical applications. To enhance the wear resistance of copper, sepiolite was used as a reinforcing element to explore the interface bonding strength between both. A comprehensive analysis was conducted from mechanical, thermal, and frictional perspectives to elucidate the role of sepiolite in copper. The results reveal that the interface between both remains undamaged under the applied loads of 0.4 N, with only minimal plastic deformation. However, excessive interface formation could compromise the continuity of the copper, resulting in reduced structural densification and impeded thermal conductivity. Moreover, sepiolite exhibited a particle strengthening effect, improving the mechanical strength. In which, H2 (20% sepiolite) exhibited the most significant characteristics, featuring a dense structure, small pores, and high shear strength and thermal conductivity, particularly excelling in Brinell Hardness (81.9HB). However, the frictional performance varied, gradually strengthening with the increasing amount of sepiolite. Notably, sepiolite acts as micro-protrusions to counteract friction forces. Partially fragmented sepiolite adheres to the friction surface, forming a mixed layer that facilitates the abundant generation of Cu 2 O.
