Purpose: The aim of this study is to investigate the postural balance in children with intellectual disabilities who participate in soccer training compared with their sedentary peers. Method: Two groups of boys with intellectual disabilities aged 8–10 years participated in this study: a soccer group (n = 12) and a sedentary group (n = 12). Postural balance was assessed using a force platform under 4 different conditions: open eyes, and closed eyes, on firm and foam surfaces. The Timed Up and Go Test, 10-m Walking Test, and Four-Square Step Test were also conducted. Results: The soccer group had significantly lower (P <.05) center of pressure values compared with the sedentary group, on both firm and foam surfaces, but only under the open eyes condition. They were significantly faster (P <.05) in the Timed Up and Go Test, 10-m Walking Test, and Four-Square Step Test compared with their sedentary peers. However, there were no significant differences between the 2 groups on the sit-to-stand and turn-to-sit phases of the Timed Up and Go Test. Conclusion: Soccer participation may have a positive effect on postural balance in boys with intellectual disabilities. Understanding the workplace experiences of people with disabilities (PWD) is crucial for creating truly inclusive environments. We explore how perceived climate for inclusion affects social anxiety among employees with varying levels of disability severity. Adopting an interactionist perspective, we propose a mediated moderation model in which disability severity weakens the negative effect of perceived climate for inclusion on social anxiety, with this effect mediated by acceptance of disability. To test our hypotheses, we conducted two studies: one with a sample of Chinese employees and another with a culturally diverse sample. We found that the protective effect of perceived climate for inclusion on reducing social anxiety diminishes as disability severity increases, because individuals with more severe disabilities have lower levels of acceptance of disability. These findings underscore the complexities of fostering workplace inclusion and highlight the critical role of self‐acceptance in shaping the effectiveness of inclusive initiatives. Our research contributes to the literature on disability, inclusion, and workplace diversity by revealing the nuanced dynamics that influence social anxiety among PWD in inclusive settings. Acoustic metasurfaces are widely used for noise attenuation due to their outstanding acoustic performance and subwavelength characteristics. The paper introduces a topology-optimized inverse design approach for broadband sound-absorbing metasurfaces, aiming to achieve efficient sound absorption performance across a wide frequency spectrum. By integrating genetic algorithms with the finite element method and driven by objectives such as the absorption frequency range and absorption coefficient, we can transcend the limitations of manual design and fully exploit the design potential of structures. The Arrhenius equation was used to describe the dynamics of two-state switching in mesoscale, ferromagnetic particles. Using square permalloy dots as an idealized two-state switching system, measurements of the prefactor of the Arrhenius law changed by 26 decades over barrier heights from 30 to 700 meV. Measurements of the prefactor ratios for a two well system revealed significant deviations from the common interpretation of the Arrhenius law. The anomalous Arrhenius prefactors and the prefactor ratios can be fitted to a modified model that includes entropic contributions to two-state transitions. Two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides possess a significant specific surface area, adjustable bandgaps, and excellent optical absorption properties, rendering them highly conducive to photocatalytic applications. Herein, a MoS2-like 2D superatomic Cd6S2 monolayer is predicted, wherein the octahedral Cd6 superatom unit connects with S atoms via six vertices. Chemical bonding analysis reveals that the remarkable dynamic, thermal, and mechanical stability of the Cd6S2 monolayer results from the covalent Cd–S bonds and the 6-center 8-electron (6c–8e) delocalized bond within the Cd6 core, which ensures the chemical octet rule for both the S atom and the Cd6 superatom. Demonstrating notable optical absorption coefficients and a strain-tuned energy band structure, the Cd6S2 monolayer emerges as a viable candidate for catalyzing the solar-powered splitting of water. In this study, we investigated the thermoelectric properties of molecular junctions, created by trapping naphthacene (C18H12) and rubrene (C42H28) molecules between two graphene electrodes. It is found that the charge transport of naphthacene-based and rubrene-based graphene junctions is not sensitive to the introduction of edge side branches or the increase in molecular length and still maintains resonance transport at the Fermi level. Notably, the presence of pendant branches on the molecular trunk in rubrene-based graphene junctions leads to a suppression of phonon transport, attributed to multiple scattering at the branch attachment points or Fano resonance scattering. The phonon thermal conductance of the rubrene junctions can be reduced by nearly half compared to that of naphthalene junctions. Furthermore, the room-temperature figure of merit (ZT) is significantly enhanced from 0.2 to 1.1 upon constructing weak coupling junctions, representing an almost tenfold increase over covalent junctions. These findings mean that it is highly desirable to find a mechanism that can suppress the phonon thermal conductance of self-assembled molecular films, while preserving their power factor at optimal levels to obtain high-efficiency thermoelectric performance. We develop and test theory regarding the effect of CEO paranoia, defined as stable tendencies toward suspicion, feelings of ill will or resentment, mistrust, and belief in external control or influence, on firm stakeholder engagement. We theorize that because CEOs higher in paranoia have tendencies toward hypervigilance and the biases of self-as-target and sinister attributions they typically avoid engagement with external stakeholders. Further, we argue that CEOs higher in paranoia are subject to paranoid activation when confronted with trait-relevant cues that confirm suspicions of being targeted by a malevolent external entity (here, regulatory rulings or rival attacks), thus eliciting a shift away from avoidance to a more aggressive engagement with those stakeholders. To do so, we develop a content-analytic measure of CEO paranoia following both theory and evidence in psychology and methodological best practices, finding evidence that broadly supports our premise. In total, our study draws attention to how the manifestation of CEO paranoia changes the way CEOs engage stakeholders over time, contributing to understanding in multiple ways. The development of sharing economy and new information technologies has promoted the emergence of third-party shared manufacturing platforms (TPSMPs). In the shared manufacturing context, one main challenge to TPSMPs is the matching of manufacturing enterprises with insufficient production capacity (capacity demanders) and those with overcapacity (capacity suppliers), where available capacities of capacity suppliers are within time ranges, and orders of capacity demanders can be split. In this capacity matching problem with capacity time windows and order splitting (CMPCTW-OS), each capacity demander's order needs to be delivered on time, while each capacity supplier can also match with multiple capacity demanders and fulfil orders of the capacity demanders by sequence. A mathematical model for the CMPCTW-OS is developed to maximise the total profit of the TPSMP. Then, we design a two-stage heuristic algorithm to solve this model. In the first stage, the inserting algorithm (IA) is used to obtain an initial feasible solution. In the second stage, the iterated local search (ILS) is applied to optimise and improve the initial feasible solution. Purpose: This study assessed the reliability and load–velocity profiles of 3 different landmine-punch-throw variations (seated without trunk rotation, seated with trunk rotation, and standing whole body) with different loads (20, 22.5, and 25.0 kg), all with the dominant hand and nondominant hand. Methods: In a quasi-randomized order, 14 boxers (24.1 [4.3] y, 72.6 [10.1] kg) performed 3 repetitions of each variation with their dominant hand and their nondominant hand, with maximal effort and 3 minutes of interset rest. Peak velocity was measured via the GymAware Power Tool (Kinetic Performance Technologies). The interclass correlation coefficients and their 95% CIs were used to determine the intrasession reliability of each variation × load × hand combination. Additionally, a 2 (hand) × 3 (variation) repeated-measures analysis of variance assessed the load–velocity profile slope, and a 3 (variation) × 2 (hand) × 3 (load) repeated-measures analysis of variance assessed the peak velocity of each variation. Results: Most variations were highly reliable (intraclass correlation coefficient >.91), with the nondominant hand being as reliable or more reliable than the dominant hand. Very strong linear relationships were observed for the group average for each variation (R2 ≥.96). However, there was no variation × hand interaction for the slope, and there was no main effect for variation or hand. Additionally, there was no interaction for the peak velocity, but there were main effects for variation, hand, and load (P <.01). Conclusion: Each variation was reliable and can be used to create upper-body ballistic unilateral load–velocity profiles. Ultrathin (1–4 nm) films of wide-bandgap semiconductors are important to many applications in microelectronics, and the film properties can be sensitively affected by defects especially at the substrate/film interface. Motivated by this, an in vacuo atomic layer deposition (ALD) was developed for the synthesis of ultrathin films of Ga2O3/Al2O3 atomic layer stacks (ALSs) on Al electrodes. It is found that the Ga2O3/Al2O3 ALS can form an interface with the Al electrode with negligible interfacial defects under the optimal ALD condition whether the starting atomic layer is Ga2O3 or Al2O3. Such an interface is the key to achieving an optimal and tunable electronic structure and dielectric properties in Ga2O3/Al2O3 ALS ultrathin films. In situ scanning tunneling spectroscopy confirms that the electronic structure of Ga2O3/Al2O3 ALS can have tunable bandgaps (Eg) between ∼2.0 eV for 100% Ga2O3 and ∼3.4 eV for 100% Al2O3. With variable ratios of Ga:Al, the measured Eg exhibits significant non-linearity, agreeing with the density functional theory simulation, and tunable carrier concentration. Furthermore, the dielectric constant ε of ultrathin Ga2O3/Al2O3 ALS capacitors is tunable through the variation in the ratio of the constituent Ga2O3 and Al2O3 atomic layer numbers from 9.83 for 100% Ga2O3 to 8.28 for 100% Al2O3. The high ɛ leads to excellent effective oxide thickness ∼1.7–2.1 nm for the ultrathin Ga2O3/Al2O3 ALS, which is comparable to that of high-K dielectric materials. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Individuals with intellectual disabilities often face unique challenges in physical capabilities, making traditional training methods less effective for their specific needs. This study aimed to investigate the effect of combining balance, plyometric, and strength (CBPS) training with sprint training on physical performance in male athletes with intellectual disabilities. Twenty-seven participants were randomly assigned to either a CBPS group or a control group that only maintained their regular sprint training. Participants underwent pre- and posttraining tests, including measures of balance, jumping, agility, and sprinting ability. The results showed that the CBPS group demonstrated significant improvements (p <.05) in one-leg stance, crossover-hop jump, squat jump, countermovement jump, and 10- and 30-m sprint at posttraining compared with pretraining. CBPS training combined with sprinting significantly improves physical performance in male athletes with intellectual disabilities, suggesting implications for tailored training programs to enhance their physical fitness and overall health. The goal of the mandatory disclosure of Key Audit Matters (KAMs) in the extended audit report is to provide relevant, client-specific information and thereby add value to the audit report. But mixed results fuel debate about the informativeness of expanded audit reports, particularly the disclosure of KAMs. This study employs text analysis to examine whether and how the information content of KAMs is associated with investor perceptions of financial reporting quality, as proxied by earnings response coefficients. Specifically, using a sample of KAMs disclosed in Taiwanese audit reports (for fiscal years 2016 and 2017), companies with KAMs that contain more client-specific information are perceived as having lower reporting quality. We further note that this association is driven by the risk-related description in KAMs. Additional analyses indicate that our textual measure is associated with actual financial reporting quality, as proxied by abnormal accruals and the likelihood of misstatements. Overall, our results provide evidence supporting the information value of KAMs in the Taiwanese audit market. This study contributes by suggesting the value of the expanded audit report. Chiral perovskite materials are being extensively studied as one of the most promising candidates for circularly polarized luminescence (CPL)-related applications. Balancing chirality and photoluminescence (PL) properties is of great importance for enhancing the value of the dissymmetry factor (glum), and a higher glum value indicates better CPL. Chiral perovskite/quantum dot (QD) composites emerge as an effective strategy for overcoming the dilemma that achieving strong chirality and PL in chiral perovskite while at the same time achieving high glum in this composite is very crucial. Here, we choose diphenyl sulfoxide (DPSO) as an additive in the precursor solution of chiral perovskite to regulate the lattice distortion. How structural variation affects the chiral optoelectronic properties of the chiral perovskite has been further investigated. We find that chiral perovskite/CdSe–ZnS QD composites with strong CPL have been achieved, and the calculated maximum |glum| of the composites increased over one order of magnitude after solvent-additive modulation (1.55 × 10−3 for R-DMF/QDs, 1.58 × 10−2 for R-NMP-DPSO/QDs, −2.63 × 10−3 for S-DMF/QDs, and −2.65 × 10−2 for S-NMP-DPSO/QDs), even at room temperature. Our findings suggest that solvent-additive modulation can effectively regulate the lattice distortion of chiral perovskite, enhancing the value of glum for chiral perovskite/CdSe–ZnS QD composites. Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide, and treatment options for advanced CRC are limited. The regulatory mechanisms of aberrant NAT10-mediated N4-acetylcytidine (ac4C) modifications in cancer progression remains poorly understood. Consequently, an integrated transcriptomic analysis is necessary to fully elucidate the role of NAT10-mediated ac4C modifications in CRC progression. Methods: NAT10 expression levels were analyzed in CRC samples and compared with those in corresponding normal tissues. The potential mechanisms of NAT10 in CRC were investigated using RNA sequencing, RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing, and acetylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing. Additional in vivo and in vitro experiments, including CCK-8 assays, colony formation and mouse xenograft models, were conducted to explore the biological role of NAT10-mediated ac4C modifications. We also evaluated and optimized a potential treatment strategy targeting NAT10. Results: We found that NAT10 is highly expressed in CRC samples and plays a pro-oncogenic role. NAT10 knockdown led to PI3K-AKT pathway inactivation, thereby inhibiting CRC progression. However, treatment with the NAT10 inhibitor Remodelin induced only a limited and reversible growth arrest in CRC cells. Further epigenetic and transcriptomic analysis revealed that NAT10 enhances the stability of ERRFI1 mRNA by binding to its coding sequence region in an ac4C-dependent manner. NAT10 knockdown decreased ERRFI1 expression, which subsequently activated the EGFR pathway and counteracted the inhibitory effects on CRC. Based on these findings, we demonstrated that dual inhibition of NAT10 and EGFR using Remodelin and the EGFR-specific monoclonal antibody cetuximab resulted in improved therapeutic efficacy compared to either drug alone. Moreover, we observed that 5-Fluorouracil promoted the interaction between NAT10 and UBR5, which increased the ubiquitin-mediated degradation of NAT10, leading to ERRFI1 downregulation and EGFR reactivation. Triple therapy with Remodelin, cetuximab, and 5-Fluorouracil enhanced tumor regression in xenograft mouse models of CRC with wild-type KRAS, NRAS and BRAF. Conclusions: Our study elucidated the mechanism underlying 5-Fu-induced NAT10 downregulation, revealing that NAT10 inhibition destabilizes ERRFI1 mRNA through ac4C modifications, subsequently resulting in EGFR reactivation. Soil-borne fungi such as Fusarium oxysporum and Colletotrichum siamense may lead to significant decline in strawberry production. Therefore, reliable and fast detection methods are urgently needed. Here we introduce a one-pot isothermal detection method integrating loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) and CRISPR/Cas12b. The method shows high pathogen specificity, with a detection limit of 10 DNA copies. Pathogen detection is completed within 30 min, which does not require specialized laboratory equipment and greatly increases the feasibility of rapid field testing. Background: Therapeutic hypothermia improves outcomes in experimental stroke models, especially after ischemia-reperfusion injury. In recent years, the safety and efficacy of hypothermia combining thrombolysis or mechanical thrombectomy have attracted widespread attention. The primary objective of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of hypothermia by combining reperfusion therapy in acute ischemic stroke patients. Methods: A systematic search was performed in PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, and the Clinical Trial Registries on articles published until May 2024. The full-text articles were thoroughly reviewed, and relevant information regarding study characteristics and outcomes was extracted. Mantel–Haenszel (M–H) random-effects model was used to calculate pooled risk ratios (RR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). In addition, subgroup analyses were performed focusing on the different hypothermia modalities and duration. Results: After screening 2,265 articles, 10 studies were included in the present analysis with a total sample size of 785. Forest plots of clinical outcomes were as follows: modified Rankin Scale (mRS) ≤2 at 3 months (RR = 1.28, 95% CI 1.01–1.61, p = 0.04), mortality within 3 months (RR = 0.95, 95% CI 0.69–1.29, p = 0.73), total complications (RR = 1.02, 95% CI 0.89–1.16, p = 0.77) and pneumonia (RR = 1.35, 95% CI 0.76–2.40, p = 0.31). Subgroup analyses indicated a mild protective effect of selective cerebral hypothermia; however, the difference in mortality between the hypothermia and control groups was not statistically significant (RR = 0.88, 95% CI 0.57–1.35, p = 0.55). Patients undergoing hypothermia for 24–48 h experienced a higher rate of overall complications (RR = 1.37, 95% CI 1.01–1.86, p = 0.04) and pneumonia (RR = 2.84, 95% CI 1.05–7.66, p = 0.04). Conclusion: The preliminary evidence supports the safety and feasibility of hypothermia combined with reperfusion therapy, which should be further investigated in randomized controlled studies. As the penetration of renewable energy sources (RESs) in power systems continues to increase, their volatility and unpredictability have exacerbated the burden of frequency regulation (FR) on conventional generator units (CGUs). Therefore, to reduce frequency deviations caused by comprehensive disturbances and improve system frequency stability, this paper proposes an integrated strategy for hybrid energy storage systems (HESSs) to participate in primary frequency regulation (PFR) of the regional power grid. Once the power grid frequency exceeds the deadband (DB) of the HESS, the high-frequency signs of the power grid frequency are managed by the battery energy storage system (BESS) through a division strategy, while the remaining parts are allocated to pumped hydroelectric energy storage (PHES). By incorporating positive and negative virtual inertia control and adaptive droop control, the BESS effectively maintains its state of charge (SOC), reduces the steady-state frequency deviation of the system, and provides rapid frequency support. When the system frequency lies within the DB of the HESS, an SOC self-recovery strategy restores the BESS SOC to an ideal range, further enhancing its long-term frequency regulation (FR) capability. Finally, a regional power grid FR model is established in the RT-1000 real-time simulation system. Simulation validation is conducted under three scenarios: step disturbances, short-term continuous disturbances, and long-term RES disturbances. The results show that the proposed integrated strategy for HESS participation in PFR not only significantly improves system frequency stability but also enhances the FR capability of the BESS. Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) has emerged as key player in gene silencing for the past two decades. Tailor-made dsRNA is now recognized a versatile raw material, suitable for a wide range of applications in biopesticide formulations, including insect control to pesticide resistance management. The mechanism of RNA interference (RNAi) acts at the messenger RNA (mRNA) level, utilizing a sequence-dependent approach that makes it unique in term of effectiveness and specificity compared to conventional agrochemicals. Two primary categories of small RNAs, known as short interfering RNAs (siRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs), function in both somatic and germline lineages in a broad range of eukaryotic species to regulate endogenous genes and to defend the genome from invasive nucleic acids. Furthermore, the application of RNAi in crop protection can be achieved by employing plant-incorporated protectants through plant transformation, but also by non-transformative strategies such as the use of formulations of sprayable RNAs as direct control agents, resistance factor repressors or developmental disruptors. This review explores the agricultural applications of RNAi, delving into its successes in pest-insect control and considering its broader potential for managing plant pathogens, nematodes, and pests. Additionally, the use of RNAi as a tool for addressing pesticide-resistant weeds and insects is reviewed, along with an evaluation of production costs and environmental implications. How this regional conflict impacts the future of natural gas markets is subject to three interconnected factors: (i) Russia's strategy to regain markets for its gas exports; (ii) Europe's push towards increased liquified natural gas (LNG) and the pace of its low carbon transition; and (iii) China's gas demand and how it balances its climate and energy security objectives. A scenario modelling approach is applied to explore the potential implications of this geopolitical crisis. We find that Russia struggles to regain pre-crisis gas export levels, with the degrees of its success contingent on China's strategy. Compared to 2020, Russia's gas exports are down by 31–47% in 2040 where new markets are limited and by 13–38% under a pivot to Asia strategy. We demonstrate how integrating energy geopolitics and modelling enhances our understanding of energy futures. The war on Ukraine has reduced Russia's ability to export its natural gas, notably to the European market. Plant protease inhibitors are a ubiquitous feature of plant species and exert a substantial influence on plant stress responses. However, the KTI (Kunitz trypsin inhibitor) family responding to abiotic stress has not been fully characterized in Populus yunnanensis. In this study, we conducted a genome-wide study of the KTI family and analyzed their gene structure, gene duplication, conserved motifs, cis-acting elements, and response to stress treatment. A total of 29 KTIs were identified in the P. yunnanensis genome. Based on phylogenetic analysis, the PyKTIs were divided into four groups (1,2, 3, and 4). Promoter sequence analysis showed that the PyKTIs contain many cis-acting elements related to light, plant growth, hormone, and stress responses, indicating that PyKTIs are widely involved in various biological regulatory processes. RNA sequencing and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis showed that KTI genes were differentially expressed under the inverted cutting stress of P. yunnanensis. Transcriptome analysis of P. yunnanensis leaves revealed that PyKTI16, PyKTI18, and PyKTI19 were highly upregulated after inverted cutting. Through the GEO query of Populus transcriptome data, KTI genes played a positive defense role in MeJa, drought, time series, and pathogen stress. This study provided comprehensive information for the KTI family in P. yunnanensis, which should be helpful for the functional characterization of P. yunnanensis KTI genes in the future. Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (aRMS) is a rare pediatric malignant tumor with a poor prognosis, particularly when located in the rhinopharynx and sphenoidal floor, which complicates diagnosis and increases the risk of misclassification as benign growths. The specific genotype of aRMS is associated with a worse clinical outcome. In young children, especially those aged 4 to 12 years, rhinopharyngeal masses are often attributed to chronic adenoiditis; however, other benign (e.g., angiofibroma in boys) and malignant tumors may also be present. Initial symptoms frequently include nasal obstruction, muco-purulent nasal discharge, serous otitis media, sinusitis, and epistaxis. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the second most common ENT neoplasm in children, following lymphoma, with an incidence of approximately 6 cases per 1,000,000 annually. This report presents the case of an 8-year-old boy diagnosed with aRMS, accompanied by a literature review. Alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma should be suspected in children presenting with a vegetative tumor in the rhinopharynx or paranasal sinuses. Combined treatment approaches (surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy) should be tailored to tumor characteristics. Neuronavigation-guided functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is an effective option for achieving complete tumor excision, depending on tumor size and extent. The prognosis remains reserved and is contingent upon accurate evaluation and timely intervention. Flue-cured tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.) is one of the most important economic crops in the world, and is the most important raw material in the cigarette industry. Construction of a high-density linkage map and identification of agronomic and leaf traits quantitative trail loci (QTLs) are prerequisites for molecular marker-assisted selective breeding projects. In the present study, an integrated high-density linkage map for flue-cured tobacco was constructed using a doubled haploid (DH) population based on SSR and SNP markers. The integrated genetic map spans 2618.89 cM and contains 607 SSR marker loci, and 917 SNP marker loci. Using the newly constructed map, QTL mapping was performed using the method of composite interval mapping (CIM) for six plant and six leaf chemistry traits. A total of 102 QTLs associated with 1.77–27.65% of the phenotypic variation were identified on 22 linkage groups in two years (2021 and 2022). Eighty-four and 89 QTLs were detected using 2021 and 2022 field experiments, respectively. Seventy-one QTLs were detected in both years. Most QTLs presented small effects, but six QTLs presented relatively large effects in both two years, with each explaining 15–28% of the phenotypic variation in the DH population. The twelve measured traits were strongly correlated with each other. Consistent with this finding, many QTLs identified for one trait overlapped with those identified for alternative traits. The advent of generative networks and their adoption in numerous domains and communities have led to a wave of innovation and breakthroughs in AI and machine learning. Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have expanded the scope of what is possible with machine learning, allowing for new applications in areas such as computer vision, natural language processing, and creative AI. GANs, in particular, have been used for a wide range of tasks, including image and video generation, data augmentation, style transfer, and anomaly detection. They have also been used for medical imaging and drug discovery, where they can generate synthetic data to augment small datasets, reduce the need for expensive experiments, and lower the number of real patients that must be included in medical trials. Given these developments, we propose using the power of GANs to create and augment flow-based network traffic datasets. We evaluate a series of GAN architectures, including Wasserstein, conditional, energy-based, gradient penalty, and LSTM-GANs. We evaluate their performance on a set of flow-based network traffic data collected from 16 subjects who used their computers for home, work, and study purposes. The performance of these GAN architectures is described according to metrics that involve networking principles, data distribution among a collection of flows, and temporal data distribution. Given the tendency of network intrusion detection datasets to have a very imbalanced data distribution, i.e., a large number of samples in the "normal traffic" category and a comparatively low number of samples assigned to the "intrusion" categories, we test our GANs by augmenting the intrusion data and checking whether this helps intrusion detection neural networks in their task. Green development is key to promoting regional sustainable development. We construct an evaluation index system for green development levels based on the "sansheng" dimensions—production, living, and ecology. We rely on the "sansheng" (production, living, and ecology) dimensions, combined with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and the entropy weight method to analyze indicator weights, to construct an evaluation index system for green development levels. This system enables the identification of the evolution patterns of green development and the analysis of driving factors in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone from the "sansheng" perspective. The results indicate that: (1) The green development level in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone has been continuously rising, with the average index increasing from 0.197 to 0.254. Yuzhong District and Chengdu City have shown particularly high green development levels; in 2020, the green development level index for Yuzhong District reached 0.568, while Chengdu City's index reached 0.522. (2) The spatial clustering of green development levels in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic zone exhibited a trend of first strengthening and then weakening, with the highest clustering degree observed in 2015. (3) National strategies have significantly promoted the improvement of regional green development levels. The average green development index during the pre-establishment, initial development, and rapid development stages of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone increased from 0.205 to 0.229, and then to 0.254. (4) The Theil index results show an increase in the disparity of green development levels among different regions within the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone.The results of the optimal scaling regression model show that the driving factors with a significant impact on the level of green development include the Number of physicians per million people, Public library book collections Per 100 people, Per capita regional GDP, and Number of secondary schools Per million people, each contributing over 15% to the impact. (1) Background: The modified Whipple procedure, or pylorus-preserving pancreaticoduodenectomy, is a complex surgical intervention used to treat pancreatic head tumors. While preserving digestive function, it is associated with significant perioperative risks. This study explores the clinical, immunological, and microbiome-related factors influencing postoperative complications, focusing on the interplay between patient comorbidities, systemic inflammation, and gut dysbiosis. (2) Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 123 patients undergoing the modified Whipple procedure for pancreatic head tumors. Patients were categorized into two groups based on the occurrence of significant postoperative complications (Group A: with complications; Group B: without complications). Data on demographics, comorbidities, inflammatory markers (CRP, IL-6, procalcitonin), and gut microbiome composition were collected. Microbial diversity was evaluated using the Shannon Index, and logistic regression was performed to identify independent predictors of complications. (3) Results: Patients in Group A had a significantly higher prevalence of diabetes mellitus (43.1% vs. 20.8%; p = 0.02) and cardiovascular disease (35.3% vs. 13.9%; p = 0.01). Elevated inflammatory markers (CRP ≥ 40 mg/L, IL-6 ≥ 30 pg/mL, procalcitonin ≥ 0.5 ng/mL) were strongly associated with higher complication rates. Microbiome analysis indicated dysbiosis in Group A, with reduced Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium levels, increased Enterobacteriaceae abundance, and a lower Shannon Index (<2). Patients exhibiting both dysbiosis and elevated inflammation had the highest complication rate (60%). Multivariate analysis identified diabetes, elevated IL-6, and dysbiosis as independent predictors of adverse outcomes. (4) Conclusions: Postoperative complications after the modified Whipple procedure are influenced by systemic inflammation and gut dysbiosis. A systematic preoperative assessment of microbiome health and inflammatory markers enables accurate risk stratification and personalized interventions, potentially reducing the incidence of complications and improving overall surgical outcomes. The antioxidant and anti‐inflammatory functions of genistein (GEN) and the regulatory mechanisms have been intensively investigated in mammals; however, there was a paucity of studies in aquatic animals. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of GEN on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐induced hepatic oxidative stress and inflammatory responses in turbot (Scophthalmus maximus L.) juveniles. Turbots (20 g body weight) were intraperitoneally injected with PBS (the Control group), LPS (50 μg/g), and LPS (50 μg/g) + GEN (0.05, 0.5 and 5 μg/g), respectively. Results showed that the content of the total bilirubin, the activities of the alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, γ‐glutamyl transpeptidase, and alkaline phosphatase were significantly decreased with increasing levels of GEN injection (p < 0.05). Results exhibited that hepatic proinflammatory factors, oxidative stress‐related factors, and apoptotic factors mRNA expression were significantly upregulated after intraperitoneal injection of LPS in turbot, compared with the Control group (p < 0.05). Meanwhile, the mRNA expressions of these apoptosis‐ and inflammation‐related factors showed significant linear or quadratic terms of downregulation with increasing levels of GEN injection (p < 0.05) and almost reached the lowest values at 0.5 μg/g or 5 μg/g of GEN injection levels. The symptoms of LPS‐induced disorganization of hepatocyte arrangement, vacuolization of hepatocytes, and inner mitochondrial cristae damage in turbot were significantly improved after GEN injection. Furthermore, the main signaling pathways associated with inflammation included Herpes simplex virus 1 infection, RIG‐I‐like receptor, NOD‐like receptor, C‐type lectin receptor, and p53 signaling pathways. Moreover, results of weighted correlation network analysis indicated that vascular endothelial growth factor A–A (vegfaa) and signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (stat3) were likely to be hub genes. Meanwhile, mRNA expressions of vegfaa, vegfab, stat1, stat2, stat3, stat4, stat5a, and stat5b exhibited significantly linear or quadratic downregulation with increasing levels of GEN injection (p < 0.05). The above results confirmed that intraperitoneal injection of GEN significantly alleviated LPS‐induced hepatic oxidative stress and inflammatory injury in turbot, and vegfaa and stat3 possibly play a key role in this process. Background: Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) is capable of enhancing the infiltration of immune cells into the tumour. However the temporal dynamics of immune cell patterns in patients receiving BCG instillation remains unclear. Methods: Ninety-six patients who underwent intravesical BCG therapy, comprising 46 responders and 50 non-responders, were retrospectively enroled to explore the evolving immune landscape. This study involved a detailed examination of sequential samples collected before, during, and after BCG treatment to assess BCG's influence on the immune microenvironment, employing techniques such as immunohistochemistry, fluorescent multiplex immunohistochemistry, and mass spectrometry techniques. Results: Our study found that initial BCG instillation leads to enhanced immune cell infiltration, correlating with treatment efficacy, with responders exhibiting more pronounced increases. Non-responders experience a rise in immune cell infiltration and PD-L1 expression during the first instillation, which returns to baseline after treatment. In non-responders, BCG re-challenge fail to further increase immune cell infiltration into the tumour or improve patient outcomes. Strikingly, proteomics data revealed that GBP1 expression was induced by BCG treatment in non-responders. Conclusions: Our findings demonstrated the induction of tumour PD-L1 expression by BCG in non-responders, and therefore provide insights for the combination of BCG and anti-PD1/anti-PD-L1 therapy. Pollen development and germination play a crucial role in the sexual reproduction of plants. This study analysis of transcriptional dynamics of foxtail millet pollen with other tissues and organs (ovule, glume, seedling and root) through RNA-sequencing revealed that a total of 940 genes were up-regulated in foxtail millet pollen. Based on this, we analyzed the genes involved in pollen tube growth of receptor kinases and small peptides, calcium signaling, small G proteins, vesicle transport, cytoskeleton, cell wall correlation, and transcription factors that are up-regulated in pollen. At the same time, we compared the gene expression of foxtail millet pollen and mature anthers, and found that a large number of transcription factors were specific expressed in mature anthers. In addition, we verified the accuracy of the transcriptome data using RT-qPCR. Finally, employed the antisense Oligonucleotide (as-ODN) system found that inhibiting SiPME67 expression would cause abnormal growth of pollen tube subapical. In summary, we preliminarily analyzed the genes that were up-regulated in foxtail millet pollen, which provided a reference for understanding the male sterility mechanism of foxtail millet in the future and theoretical basis for creating new male sterility lines. Background: The complete mitochondrial respiratory chain is a precondition for maintaining cellular energy supply, development, and metabolic balance. Due to the evolutionary differentiation of complexes and the semi-autonomy of mitochondria, respiratory chain subunits have become critical targets for crop improvement and fungal control. In fungi, mitochondrial complex I mediates growth and metabolism. However, the role of this complex in the pathogenesis of phytopathogenic fungi is largely unknown. Results: In this study, we identified the NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase 24-kDa subunit (VdNuo1) of complex in vascular wilt pathogen, Verticillium dahliae, and examined its functional conservation in phytopathogenic fungi. Based on the treatments with respiratory chain inhibitors, the mitochondria-localized VdNuo1 was confirmed to regulate mitochondrial morphogenesis and homeostasis. VdNuo1 was induced during the different developmental stages in V. dahliae, including hyphal growth, conidiation, and melanized microsclerotia development. The VdNuo1 mutants displayed variable sensitivity to stress factors and decreased pathogenicity in multiple hosts, indicating that VdNuo1 is necessary in stress tolerance and full virulence. Comparative transcriptome analysis demonstrated that VdNuo1 mediates global transcriptional effects, including oxidation and reduction processes, fatty acid, sugar, and energy metabolism. These defects are partly attributed to impairments of mitochondrial morphological integrity, complex assembly, and related functions. Its homologue (CgNuo1) functions in the vegetative growth, melanin biosynthesis, and pathogenicity of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides; however, CgNuo1 does not restore the VdNuo1 mutant to normal phenotypes. Conclusions: Our results revealed that VdNuo1 plays important roles in growth, metabolism, microsclerotia development, stress tolerance, and virulence of V. dahliae, sharing novel insight into the function of complex I and a potential fungicide target for pathogenic fungi. Objective: To develop and validate a model integrating dual-layer detector spectral computed tomography (DLCT) three-dimensional (3D) volume of interest (VOI)-based quantitative parameters and clinical features for predicting Ki-67 proliferation index (PI) in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). Materials and methods: A total of 162 patients with histopathologically confirmed PDAC who underwent DLCT examination were included and allocated to the training (114) and validation (48) sets. 3D VOI-iodine concentration (IC), 3D VOI-slope of the spectral attenuation curves, and 3D VOI-effective atomic number were obtained from the portal venous phase. The significant clinical features and DLCT quantitative parameters were identified through univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression. The discrimination capability and clinical applicability of the clinical, DLCT, and DLCT-clinical models were quantified by the Receiver Operating Characteristic curve (ROC) and Decision Curve Analysis (DCA), respectively. The optimal model was then used to develop a nomogram, with the goodness-of-fit evaluated through the calibration curve. Results: The DLCT-clinical model demonstrated superior predictive capability and a satisfactory net benefit for Ki-67 PI in PDAC compared to the clinical and DLCT models. The DLCT-clinical model integrating 3D VOI-IC and CA125 showed area under the ROC curves of 0.939 (95% CI, 0.895–0.982) and 0.915 (95% CI, 0.834–0.996) in the training and validation sets, respectively. The nomogram derived from the DLCT-clinical model exhibited favorable calibration, as depicted by the calibration curve. Conclusions: The proposed model based on DLCT 3D VOI-IC and CA125 is a non-invasive and effective preoperative prediction tool demonstrating favorable predictive performance for Ki-67 PI in PDAC. Hyperspectral images (HSIs) contain rich spectral information characteristics. Different spectral information can be used to classify different types of ground objects. However, the classification effect is mainly determined by the quality of spectral characteristic information and the performance of the classifier. This paper explores the use of two-dimensional empirical mode decomposition (2D-EMD) to first feature extraction of HSIs, then uses 2D-EMD to carry out adaptive decomposition of each band of hyperspectral data, and optimally extract the features of the sub-band obtained by decomposition. Then, the optimized features are classified in the support vector machine (SVM) recognition classifier optimized by grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm to further improve the effect of network recognition and classification. Objective: To explore the mediating effect of shame in patients with malignant haematological diseases between fear of disease progression and social alienation. Methods: Recruiting 310 patients with haematological malignancies as the research population, the convenience sampling method was used to investigate the general information questionnaire, the fear of disease progression scale, the social influence scale and the general alienation scale. Results: The patients with haematological malignancies scored (36.02 ± 9.74) points for fear of disease progression, (58.02 ± 9.52) points for stigma and (31.31 ± 5.85) points for social alienation. Social alienation in patients with haematologic malignancies was positively correlated with stigma (r = 0.500, P < 0.01) and fear of disease progression (r = 0.424, P < 0.01), and fear of disease progression was also positively correlated with stigma (r = 0.405, P < 0.01). Bootstrap test results showed that the mediating effect of stigma on the relationship between fear of disease progression and social alienation in patients with haematological malignancies was 0.159, accounting for 37.5% of the total effect. Conclusion: The sense of shame plays an intermediary role between fear of disease progression and social alienation in patients with malignant haematological diseases. Clinical nurses should pay attention to the current situation of fear and shame in patients with such diseases and take appropriate intervention measures to reduce the occurrence of negative emotions such as social alienation. Hard carbon anode demonstrates exceptional potential in sodium‐ion batteries due to their cost‐effectivenss and superior plateau capacity. However, the proximity of the plateau capacity to the cut‐off voltage of battery operation and the premature cut‐off voltage response caused by polarization at high rates greatly limit the exploitation of plateau capacities, raising big concerns about inferior rate performance of high‐plateau‐capacity hard carbon. In this work, a facile pre‐oxidation strategy is proposed for fabricating lignin‐derived hard carbon. Both high‐plateau capacity and sodiation kinetics are significantly enhanced due to the introduction of expanded pseudo‐graphitic domains and high‐speed closed pores. Impressively, the optimized hard carbon exhibits an increased reversible capacity from 252.1 to 302.0 mAh g−1, alongside superior rate performance (174.7 mAh g−1 at 5 C) and stable cyclability over 500 cycles.
