Detecting temperature and concentration fields within engine combustors holds paramount significance in enhancing combustion efficiency and ensuring operational safety. Within the realm of engine combustors, the laminar absorption spectroscopy technique has garnered considerable attention. Particularly crucial is the optimization of the optical path configuration to enhance the efficacy of reconstruction. This study presents a flame parameter field reconstruction model founded on laminar absorption spectroscopy. Furthermore, an optimization approach for refining the optical path configuration is delineated. In addressing non-axisymmetric flames, the simulated annealing algorithm (SA) and Harris's Hawk algorithm (HHO) are employed to optimize the optical path layout across varying beam quantities. The findings underscore a marked reduction in imaging errors with the optimized optical path configuration compared to conventional setups, thereby elevating detection precision. Notably, the HHO algorithm demonstrates superior performance over the SA algorithm in terms of optimization outcomes and computational efficiency. Compared with the parallel optical path, the optimized optical path of the HHO algorithm reduces the temperature field error by 25.5% and the concentration field error by 26.5%. The majority of the cell wall of a plant is composed of cellulose. Cellulose is an outstanding abundant, fibrous, and water-insoluble polymer on earth. The excellent hierarchical structure and semicrystalline nature of plant cellulose permit the easy isolation of nanofibers and nanocrystals through mechanically and chemically applied top-down destruction strategies. The cellulose molecules in nanocomposites can be separated into types such as bacterial nanocellulose (BNC), crystalline nanocellulose (CNC), and cellulose nanofibrils (CNF), which are biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and possess remarkably improved properties compared to conventional materials. Generally, they are deliberated as second-generation renewable resources, which assist as a superior replacement for petroleum-based materials. Research studies on nanocellulose are extensively accelerating due to petroleum-based materials issues like CO2 emissions, plastic based-pollution, and the absence of renewable energy. Research studies regarding these materials are interestingly increasing due to their outstanding properties such as biocompatibility, renewability, higher mechanical and lower density values, while sustainable production still associated with various challenges. The Disturbance Storm Time (Dst) Index stands as a crucial geomagnetic metric, serving to quantify the intensity of geomagnetic disturbances. The accurate prediction of the Dst index plays a pivotal role in mitigating the detrimental effects caused by severe space-weather events. Therefore, Dst prediction has been a long-standing focal point within the realms of space physics and space-weather forecasting. In this study, a Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN) is deployed in tandem with the Integrated Gradient (IG) algorithm to predict the Dst index and scrutinize its associated physical processes. With these two components, our model can give the contribution of each input parameter to the outcome along with the forecast. The TCN component of our model utilizes interplanetary observational data, encompassing the vector magnetic field, solar-wind velocity, proton temperature, proton density, interplanetary electric field, and other relevant parameters for forecasting Dst indices. Despite the disparity in test sets, our model's forecast accuracy approximates the error levels of the prior models. Remarkably, the prediction error of these machine-learning models has become comparable to the inherent error between the Dst index itself and the actual ring-current strength. To understand the physical process behind the forecasting model, the IG algorithm was applied in our prediction model, in an attempt to analyze the underlying physical process of the machine-learning black box. In the temporal dimension, it is evident that the more recent the time, the more substantial the influence on the final prediction. Regarding the physical parameters, besides the historical Dst index itself, the flow pressure, the z -component of the magnetic field, and the proton density all significantly contribute to the final prediction. Additionally, IG attributions were analyzed for subsets of data, including different Dst-index ranges, different observation times, and different interplanetary structures. Most of the subsets exhibit an IG matrix with deviations from the mean distribution, which indicates a complex nonlinear system and sensitivity of the prediction to input values. These analyses align with physical reasoning and are in good agreement with previous research. The results affirm that the TCN+IG technique not only enhances space-weather forecast accuracy but also advances our comprehension of the underlying physical processes in space weather. Objective: To investigate the prevalence and intensity of grasp reflexes and to examine changes in these reflexes after shunt surgery in patients with idiopathic normal pressure hydrocephalus (iNPH). Methods: We enrolled 147 patients with probable iNPH. A standard procedure was used to determine the presence of grasp reflexes, and the intensity of these reflexes was assessed using a four-category classification. Clinical rating scales and their correlation with grasp reflexes were also evaluated. Grasp reflexes were reassessed in 72 patients 1 year after surgery. Results: We found that approximately 50.3% of patients with iNPH exhibited a positive grasp reflex. Among these patients, 69% exhibited bilateral positivity, while the remaining patients showed unilateral positivity. Furthermore, the intensity of the grasp reflex was significantly correlated with the severity of gait and with cognitive, urinary, motor, and behavioural symptoms. Surgical interventions led to a reduction (41.7%) or maintenance (30.6%) of the reflex intensity in 72.3% of iNPH patients. The changes in reflex intensity showed significant positive correlations with changes in the number of steps of the Timed Up and Go test and Trail Making Test-A scores but not with changes in total scores on the iNPH Grading Scale. Conclusion: This retrospective study identified grasp reflexes as a highly prevalent phenomenon in patients with iNPH. The semi-rigid pile-supported composite foundation is widely used in highway projects due to its effectiveness in increasing the bearing capacity and stability of foundations. It is crucial to understand the stress distribution across the embankment width and the behaviour of unreinforced foundations. Thus, five centrifuge tests were conducted to examine the bearing and deformation behaviours of NPRS (Non-Connected Piled Raft Systems) and GRPS (Geosynthetic-Reinforced Pile-Supported systems) with varying substratum stiffness, then a comparative analysis was conducted on embankment settlement, pressures underneath the embankments, and axial forces along the piles. The results indicated that greater substratum stiffness correlates with reduced settlement and deformation at various depths. Deformation occurring 5 meters from the embankment toe includes settlement in NPRS and upward movement in GRPS. The potential sliding surface is primarily located within the embankment in NPRS, whereas it may extend through both the embankment and foundation in GRPS. The pile-soil stress ratio and efficiency in NPRS are higher than in GRPS across the embankment. The axial force borne by end-bearing piles is significantly greater than that by floating piles. As the buried depth increases, the axial force in GRPS initially rises then declines, whereas in NPRS, it remains relatively constant within a certain range before decreasing. This study aids in assessing the applicability of composite foundations in complex railway environments and provides a reference for procedural measures under similar conditions. In the realm of high-tech materials and energy applications, accurately measuring the transient heat flow at media boundaries and the internal thermal conductivity of materials in harsh heat exchange environments poses a significant challenge when using conventional direct measurement methods. Consequently, the study of photothermal parameter reconstruction in translucent media, which relies on indirect measurement techniques, has crucial practical value. Current research on reconstructing photothermal properties within participating media typically focuses on single-objective or time-invariant properties. There is a pressing need to develop effective methods for the simultaneous reconstruction of time-varying thermal flow fields and internal thermal conductivity at the boundaries of participating media. This paper introduces a computational model based on the numerical simulation theory of internal heat transfer systems in participating media, stochastic particle swarm optimization algorithms, and Kalman filter technology. The model aims to enable the simultaneous reconstruction of various thermal parameters within the target medium. Our results demonstrate that under varying levels of measurement noise, the inversion results for different target parameters exhibit slight oscillations around the true values, leading to a reduction in reconstruction accuracy. With the development of industrialization, chemical detection plays a vital role in many fields. As a new type of porous material, covalent organic frameworks (COF's) possess the characteristics of huge specific surface area, low density, great stability, and adjustable pore size. These characteristics make it a great prospect for chemical detection. In the article, we mainly show how to design several analytic platforms to achieve precise target detection by utilizing the special properties of COF's, put forward the relevant mechanisms of successful detections, and analyze the related parameters of analyte detection performance. Cu/SAPO-34 is a highly efficient catalyst that can be used in various catalytic fields. However, the use of phosphoric acid during the preparation process exacerbates environmental pollution issues. This article uses aluminum phosphate as a new raw material and uses direct ion exchange to effectively control and reduce pollution in the process of preparing Cu/SAPO-34. A series of physical and chemical properties and catalytic performance of the catalyst were analyzed and studied using various characterization instruments. The results indicate that the Cu/SAPO-34 catalyst has more isolated Cu2+ and Cu[OH]+ sites than the Con-Cu/SAPO-34 catalyst prepared by traditional methods, and exhibits excellent ability to remove NOx in the temperature range of 100–550 °C. The remarkable efficacy of cancer immunotherapy has been established in several tumor types. Of the various immunotherapies, PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors are most extensively used in the treatment of many cancers in clinics. These inhibitors restore the suppressed antitumor immune response and inhibit tumor progression by blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 signaling. However, the low response rate is a major limitation in the clinical application of PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors. Therefore, combination strategies that enhance the response rate are the need of the hour. In this investigation, PT-100 (also referred to as Talabostat, Val-boroPro, and BXCL701), an orally administered and nonselective dipeptidyl peptidase inhibitor, not only augmented the effectiveness of anti-PD-1 therapy but also significantly improved T immune cell infiltration and reversed the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. The combination of PT-100 and anti-PD-1 antibody increased the number of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells. Moreover, the mRNA expression of T cell-associated molecules was elevated in the tumor microenvironment. The results further suggested that PT-100 dramatically reduced the ratio of tumor-associated macrophages. These findings provide a promising combination strategy for immunotherapy in lung cancer. Dental caries is a bacterial infectious disease that destroys the structure of teeth. It is one of the main diseases that endanger human health [R. H. Selwitz, A. I. Ismail, and N. B. Pitts, Lancet 369(9555), 51–59 (2007)]. At present, dentists use both visual exams and radiographs for the detection of caries. Affected by the patient's dental health and the degree of caries demineralization, it is sometimes difficult to accurately identify some dental caries in x-ray images with the naked eye. Therefore, dentists need an intelligent and accurate dental caries recognition system to assist diagnosis, reduce the influence of doctors' subjective factors, and improve the efficiency of dental caries diagnosis. Therefore, this paper combines the U-Net model verified in the field of biomedical image segmentation with the convolution block attention module, designs an Attention U-Net model for caries image segmentation, and discusses the feasibility of deep learning technology in caries image recognition so as to prepare for the next clinical verification. After testing, the Dice similarity coefficient, mean pixel accuracy, mean intersection over union, and frequency-weighted intersection over the union of teeth segmentation with Attention U-Net are 95.30%, 94.46%, 93.10%, and 93.54%, respectively. The Dice similarity coefficient, mean pixel accuracy, mean intersection over union, and frequency-weighted intersection over the union of dental caries segmentation with Attention U-Net are 85.36%, 91.84%, 82.22%, and 97.08%, respectively. As a proof of concept study, this study was an initial evaluation of technology to assist dentists in the detection of caries. There is still more work needed before this can be used clinically. There are limited studies investigating the association between short-term exposure to PM2.5 and incident cardiovascular disease (CVD) cases in China. This study aims to examine the short-term effects of PM2.5 on the incidence of cardiovascular diseases. A combination of Poisson-distribution generalized linear model and distributed lag non-linear model was used to examine the association between short-term exposure to PM2.5 and incident cases of CVD. The results revealed that per 10 µg/m3 increment of PM2.5 would increase the incident CVD cases by 0.147% (Relative Risk: 1.00147, 95% Confidence Interval: 1.00008–1.00286) at a lag of 2 days. The stratified analyses showed higher effects risk in females, older residents (aged 60–75 years), and acute myocardial infarction group (p-value for difference <0.05). This study indicates that short-term exposure to PM2.5 may increase the risk of CVD and highlights the necessity for a higher air quality standard in Yantai, China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Few studies have investigated the association between PM2.5 and hypertension among floating populations. We therefore examined the relationship using binary logistic regression. Each grade of increment in the annual average PM2.5 (grade one: ≤15 µg/m3; grade two: 15–25 µg/m3; grade three: 25–35 µg/m3 [Excluding 25]; grade four: ≥35 µg/m3) was associated with an increased risk of hypertension (odds ratio [OR] = 1.081, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.034–1.129). Among the female floating population (OR = 1.114, 95% CI: 1.030–1.204), those with education level of primary school and below (OR = 1.140, 95% CI: 1.058–1.229), construction workers (OR = 1.228, 95% CI: 1.058–1.426), and those living in the eastern region of China (OR = 1.241, 95% CI: 1.145–1.346) were more vulnerable to PM2.5. These results indicate that PM2.5 is positively associated with hypertension in floating populations. The synergistic armor-etching (SAE) approach was proposed using natural organic weak acid (tannic acid, i.e., TA) for the controllable assembly of hollow and interpenetrated HZIF-8@MWCNTs hybrid nanomaterial (ZIF-8, zeolitic imidazolate framework-8; MWCNTs, multi-walled carbon nanotubes), which exhibited highly ordered crystal structure and unique morphological characteristics. The SAE strategy not only can rapidly etch solid ZIF- material into a hollow structure (~ 10 min), but also form the TA shell (~ 33 nm) on its surface. Then, the HZIF-8@MWCNTs electrochemical sensor was constructed for selective and sensitive detection of the target molecule (dopamine, DA). A sequence of studies indicated that the fabricated TA coating was capable of promoting the spread of DA into the reactive centers of hollow MOF and MWCNTs, which exhibited outstanding electroanalytical characteristics through the synergistic effect. The DPV oxidation peak of DA was strongest at 50 mV vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode. Under the optimal conditions, there are two linear dynamic ranges of current response of 0.01 ~ 10 and 10 ~ 550 µmol L− 1 with a detection limit of 0.003 µmol·L− 1 (S/N = 3). Simultaneously, the HZIF-8@MWCNTs electrochemical sensor could detect low levels of DA in real products. The recoveries of the actual sample tests were between 98.2% and 102%, and the relative standard deviation (R.S.D.) of all studies was less than 3.0%. Background: Ischemic stroke is a major cause of disability and death worldwide. A narrow therapeutic window profoundly constrained the utilization of alteplase. Objectives: To investigate therapeutic effects and safety of intravenous recombinant human prourokinase (rhPro-UK) in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in the 4.5–6 h therapeutic time windows. Methods: We conducted a phase IIa, randomized, and open-label multicenter clinical trial. Between 4.5 and 6 h after the onset of AIS, patients were randomly administrated to receive intravenous rhPro-UK at a 50 mg or 35 mg dose. The primary endpoint was excellent functional outcome defined as modified Rankin scale (mRS) score of 1 or less at 90 days. The secondary outcome was the treatment response, which was based on an at least 4-point improvement from baseline National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score at 24 h after drug administration. Safety endpoints included death, symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (sICH), and other serious adverse events. Results: We enrolled 80 patients in the 4.5–6 h therapeutic time windows at 17 medical centers in China from December 2016 to November 2017. A total of 39 patients were treated with 50 mg rhPro-UK, and 39 were treated with 35 mg rhPro-UK. Compared with the baseline, the NIHSS score at 24 h and days 7, 14, 30, and 90 was decreased significantly among patients treated with either rhPro-UK 50 mg or 35 mg. The mean reduction in the NIHSS from baseline to 90 days after the onset was 3.56 and 5.79 in the rhPro-UK 50 mg group and the rhPro-UK 35 mg group, respectively. The rates of functional independence at 90 days of rhPro-UK 50 mg and 35 mg were 61.54% and 69.23%, respectively (P = 0.475), and the proportion of patients with functional response to treatment at 24 h were 28.21% and 33.33% (P = 0.624). No sICH occurred in the two groups, and death occurred in only one patient in the rhPro-UK 50 mg group. There was no significant difference in mortality at 90 days and the rate of other serious adverse events between two groups. Conclusion: In the 4.5–6 h time window, more than 60% of patients at either dose of rhPro-UK (50 mg or 35 mg) achieved functional independence at 90 days without increased mortality and sICH risk. Thus, intravenous rhPro-UK was effective and safe for patients with AIS within 4.5–6 h after stroke onset. While no significant differences were identified between different dosages of rhPro-UK regarding clinical outcomes, it is a logical step to further test the safety and efficacy of the low dose of rhPro-UK in a well-powered phase III study. In the intelligent production process of wood products, the classification system of wood knot defects is a very practical solution. However, traditional image processing methods cannot handle it well due to the uncertainty of manually extracted features. Therefore, a lightweight and reliable artificial neural network model is proposed to classify and identify our objective. To solve this problem, a wood knot defect recognition model named SE-ResNet18 combining convolutional neural network, attention mechanism, and transfer learning is proposed in this paper. First, the Sequence-and-Exception (SE) module is combined with Basicblock and is constructed as two modules called RBBSE-1 and RBBSE-2. These modules learn to enhance features that are useful for the current task, suppress useless features, and fuse the output features with the original features. Then, the fully connected layer is replaced with a global average pooling layer, which can effectively reduce the parameters of the fully connected layer in the model. Finally, a SE-ResNet18 was constructed by one convolutional layer, five RBBSE-1 modules, and three RBBSE-2 modules of different channels. The SE-ResNet18 has a higher accuracy (98.85%) in the test set compared to the unimproved model ResNet-18. Compared with the previously proposed ReSENet-18, more SE modules are used in SE-ResNet18 to provide a basis for future training on a larger-scale dataset. Based on the same test set, a comparison with other classical models (such as LeNet-5, AlexNet, etc.) was conducted, and the results validated the superiority of the proposed model. Digital fringe projection profilometry based on phase-shifting technology is a reliable method for complex shape measurement, and the phase is one of the most important factors affecting measurement accuracy. The calculation of the absolute phase depends on the calculation of the wrapped phase and encoding technology. In this paper, a technique of obtaining the absolute phase of multi-frequency heterodyne fringe images using the Hilbert transform is presented. Since the wrapped phase can be calculated from only one fringe image of each frequency, the method does not need phase-shifting. The absolute phase can be obtained from the wrapped phase by applying the heterodyne method. The measurement time and computational complexity are dramatically reduced, the measurement efficiency is greatly improved, and this benefit from the number of images is greatly reduced. The experimental results show that the method presented in this paper performs well in the application, and the accuracy is no different from that of the phase-shifting method while the efficiency is greatly improved. Defects, such as delamination and debonding, are critical to the performance of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites. In recent years, non-destructive testing techniques have been improved for the inspection of these defects among CFRPs. In this study, an all-optical and non-destructive laser ultrasonic technique with an optical microphone detection module has been presented to detect the artificial subsurface defects among the CFRP composites. A finite element simulation based on the thermo-mechanical coupling model was used to study the process of nanosecond pulsed laser excitation of the CFRP laminate to produce ultrasound and the propagation behavior of ultrasound among the CFRP laminate. A series of non-contact laser ultrasonic testing experiments were carried out to study the flat bottom holes of different sizes via a laser ultrasonic detection system. Laser-induced ultrasound scanning imaging is proposed and utilized for the detection of the printed circuit board (PCB) delamination defect in this present study. Initially, based on the principle of laser-induced ultrasound scanning imaging, a three-dimensional mathematical model of the ultrasonic excitation by pulsed laser acting on the surface of PCB is established and analyzed. Furthermore, based on the established laser ultrasonic nondestructive testing system, single-point testing is investigated on the PCB specimen. A-scan experiments were carried out by transmission and reflection approaches, respectively. Moreover, the influence of the signal receiving position on the discrimination of defective signals and the effect of wavelet transform denoising parameters on the signal-to-noise ratio were investigated. Eventually, based on the laser-induced ultrasound scanning imaging inspection system, the defects of simulated debonding flat bottom holes are detected and studied. The different algorithms or parameters (Fast Fourier Transform, variance, extremum, and principal component analysis, etc.) are employed to extract the characteristic information are analyzed. The experimental results are compared with the traditional infrared thermal wave imaging (lock-in thermography). The experimental results indicate that laser-induced ultrasound scanning imaging has the advantages of high-resolution imaging for the defect with a small diameter. Constructing a solar-powered photothermal system that can self-regulate temperature without requiring extra energy input is significant for energy saving, but how to achieve zero-energy building remains challenging. Here, a photothermal system that integrates sunlight harvesting, photothermal conversion (PTC), and heat storage was constructed. Well-developed nanoscale pore silica aerogels with high transparency (visible-light transmittance 69.3%, near-infrared transmittance 86.9%), bending resistance (bending angle >30°), and low thermal conductivity were prepared by the interpenetration of C and Si molecular networks using vinyltrimethoxysilane as the silica source, which was used as a window material for the temperature self-regulating system to block heat loss and allow sunlight transmission. Simultaneously, the prepared CsxWO3 (CWO) film with PTC could convert sunlight into heat. Also, PEG 2000 is introduced into the system with a suitable phase transition temperature to further realize temperature self-regulation within a certain range. The outdoor simulation test results showed that the system could heat water to 69.8 °C using sunlight in cold weather around 0 °C, which was 67.6 °C higher than the ambient temperature and can stay above 18 °C for about 20 h, and even in cloudy weather, it could reach 58.2 °C. The highly transparent silica aerogel is given the ability to resist bending, which opens up more application prospects for silica aerogels, and the constructed self-regulating temperature system without additional energy input contributes to the development of the zero-energy building. In recent years, additive-subtractive hybrid manufacturing (ASHM) technology has become a research hotspot. To realize high-precision manufacturing of complex parts and avoid machining interference, alternating additive manufacturing (AM) and subtractive manufacturing (SM) are valuable to be adopted. In this paper, a finite element numerical model was established to simulate the temperature history, stress distribution, and deformation trend of the thin-walled parts alternately fabricated by AM and milling process. Then, 316L stainless steel thin-walled samples were built by the alternating ASHM process. The molten pool temperature, the surface residual stress, and the surface contour of samples were measured and analyzed. The results show that high tensile stress is exhibited at the junction of the AM segment with the substrate or the previous SM segment. With the increase of deposition height, the tensile stress decreases first and then increases. After the subsequent milling, the surface residual stress level shows a decreasing trend, which is because the milling-induced compressive stress offsets the initial residual tensile stress. Moreover, the deformation of the two ends and the top of the AM segments is more significant than that of the bottom. After SM, the deformation in the top area of the SM segments is still slightly more extensive than the bottom area. The subsequent AM process results in a small increase in the residual stress of the milled segment, but had little effect on its surface deformation. Finally, the repeated cutting height between two segments was studied. Compared with the previous work, this strategy considers the effect of the alternating ASHM process on the residual stress and deformation of thin-walled parts. Male animals may adjust their resource allocations for reproduction and other fitness functions in response to cues from rivals. For instance, adult males increase their investment in sperm for a higher paternity share when they perceive sperm competition risk in their surroundings. In nature, both juveniles and adults may coexist spatially and temporally. Yet, it is not clear how juvenile males of different ages respond to cues from adult rivals and fine‐tune their lifetime investment in sperm production and ejaculation in any insect. Here we used the Mediterranean flour moth, Ephestia kuehniella, which produces both fertile eupyrene and infertile apyrene sperm, to explore this question. We demonstrate that the late, but not early, instar larvae are sensitive to adult male cues. As a response, they produce more sperm before emergence and their resultant adults have shorter mating latency and ejaculate more sperm in the first few matings. When the juvenile stage produces more eupyrenes, the adult stops making these sperm, but regardless of the number of apyrenes produced during the juvenile stage, the adult continues to make them. These findings suggest that the number of spermatogonia for eupyrenes may be limited and that for apyrenes may be flexible. Our results show that the insect does not trade off survival, mating frequency, body size, or testis size for sperm production in response to adult males during the larval stage. Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) is an age-related disease characterised by the accumulation of senescent chondrocytes, which drives its pathogenesis and progression. Senescent cells exhibit distinct features, including mitochondrial dysfunction and the excessive accumulation and release of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are highly correlated and lead to a vicious cycle of increasing senescent cells. Stem cell therapy has proven effective in addressing cellular senescence, however, it still has issues such as immune rejection and ethical concerns. Microvesicles (MVs) constitute the primary mechanism through which stem cell therapy exerts its effects, offering a cell-free approach that circumvents these risks and has excellent anti-ageing potential. Nonetheless, MVs have a short in vivo half-life, and their secretion composition varies considerably under diverse conditions. This study aims to address these issues by constructing a ROS-responsive hydrogel loaded with pre-stimulant MVs. Through responding to ROS levels this hydrogel intelligently releases MVs, and enhancing mitochondrial function in chondrocytes to improving cellular senescence. Result: We employed Interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) as a stem cell-specific stimulus to generate IFN-γ-microvesicles (iMVs) with enhanced anti-ageing effects. Simultaneously, we developed a ROS-responsive carrier utilising 3-aminophenylboronic acid (APBA)-modified silk fibroin (SF) and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). This carrier served to protect MVs, prolong longevity, and facilitate intelligent release. In vitro experiments demonstrated that the Hydrogel@iMVs effectively mitigated cell senescence, improved mitochondrial function, and enhanced cellular antioxidant capacity. In vivo experiments further substantiated the anti-ageing capabilities of the Hydrogel@iMVs. Conclusion: The effect of MVs can be significantly enhanced by appropriate pre-stimulation and constructing a suitable carrier. Therefore, we have developed a ROS-responsive hydrogel containing IFN-γ pre-stimulated iMVs to target the characteristics of ageing chondrocytes in OA for therapeutic purposes. The response rate of cancer immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICI) varies among patients, making it challenging to pre-determine whether a particular patient will respond to immunotherapy. While gene mutation is critical to the treatment outcome, a framework capable of explicitly incorporating biology knowledge has yet to be established. Here we aim to propose and validate a mutation-based deep learning model for survival analysis on 1571 patients treated with ICI. Our model achieves an average concordance index of 0.59 ± 0.13 across nine types of cancer, compared to the gold standard Cox-PH model (0.52 ± 0.10). The "black box" nature of deep learning is a major concern in healthcare field. This model's interpretability, which results from incorporating the gene pathways and protein interaction (i.e., biology-aware) rather than relying on a 'black box' approach, helps patient stratification and provides insight into novel gene biomarkers, advancing our understanding of ICI treatment. A novel recursive cascaded full‐resolution residual network (RCFRR‐Net) for abdominal four‐dimensional computed tomography (4D‐CT) image registration was proposed. The entire network was end‐to‐end and trained in the unsupervised approach, which meant that the deformation vector field, which presented the ground truth, was not needed during training. The network was designed by cascading three full‐resolution residual subnetworks with different architectures. The training loss consisted of the image similarity loss and the deformation vector field regularization loss, which were calculated based on the final warped image and the fixed image, allowing all cascades to be trained jointly and perform the progressive registration cooperatively. Extensive network testing was conducted using diverse datasets, including an internal 4D‐CT dataset, a public DIRLAB 4D‐CT dataset, and a 4D cone‐beam CT (4D‐CBCT) dataset. Compared with the iteration‐based demon method and two deep learning‐based methods (VoxelMorph and recursive cascaded network), the RCFRR‐Net achieved consistent and significant gains, which demonstrated that the proposed method had superior performance and generalization capability in medical image registration. For the first time, organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) based on bis(8-hydroxyquinoline) zinc with a styryl group (ZnStq) dispersed in poly(N-vinylcarbazole) matrix (ZnStq_R:PVK, where R = H, Cl, OCH3) were fabricated. The ZnStq_R:PVK films made via the spin-coating method were used as the active layer in these devices. The produced OLEDs showed strong electroluminescence with yellow emissions at 590, 587 and 578 nm for the ZnStq_H:PVK, ZnStq_Cl:PVK and ZnStq_OCH3:PVK, respectively. For all the studied thin films, the main photoluminescence emission bands were observed between 565 and 571 nm. The OLED with the ZnStq_OCH3:PVK layer with a narrow electroluminescence spectrum was found to have sufficient color purity to produce ultra-high-resolution displays with reduced power consumption (full width at half maximum of 59 nm, maximum brightness of 2244 cd/m2 and maximum current efficiency of 1.24 cd/A, with a turn-on voltage of 6.94 V and a threshold voltage of 7.35 V). To characterize the photophysical properties of the active layer, the ZnStq_R:PVK layers samples were additionally deposited on glass and silicon substrates. To understand the weaker geomagnetic activity in Solar Cycle 24, we present comparisons of interplanetary coronal mass ejections (ICMEs) fittings and in situ observation parameters in Solar Cycles 23 and 24. According to their in situ features, ICMEs are separated into two categories: isolated ICMEs (I-ICMEs) and multiple ICMEs (M-ICMEs). The number of I-ICMEs in Solar Cycles 23 and 24 does not show a strong difference, while the number of M-ICMEs, which have a high probability of causing intense geomagnetic storms, declines proportionally to the sunspot number in Solar Cycle 24. Despite no obvious variation in their distribution, the geoeffective ICMEs in Solar Cycle 23 have a larger average total magnetic field strength and a larger southern magnetic field than those of Solar Cycle 24. Since the average solar wind velocities of the two solar cycles differ, the geoeffective ICMEs in Solar Cycle 23 have a higher velocity and distinct speed distributions from those in Solar Cycle 24. The total magnetic flux and radius of I-ICMEs in Solar Cycle 23 are larger than those in Solar Cycle 24, while the axial magnetic field intensity is basically the same. We propose that geomagnetic activity in Solar Cycle 24 is lower than that of Solar Cycle 23, due to the smaller M-ICME number, the slower ICME speed, and absence of ICME events with significant southward magnetic field. Objective. Ultra-high-dose-rate radiotherapy, referred to as FLASH therapy, has been demonstrated to reduce the damage of normal tissue as well as inhibiting tumor growth compared with conventional dose-rate radiotherapy. The transient hypoxia may be a vital explanation for sparing the normal tissue. The heterogeneity of oxygen distribution for different doses and dose rates in the different radiotherapy schemes are analyzed. With these results, the influence of doses and dose rates on cell survival are evaluated in this work. Approach. The two-dimensional reaction–diffusion equations are used to describe the heterogeneity of the oxygen distribution in capillaries and tissue. A modified linear quadratic model is employed to characterize the surviving fraction at different doses and dose rates. Main results. The reduction of the damage to the normal tissue can be observed if the doses exceeds a minimum dose threshold under the ultra-high-dose-rate radiation. Also, the surviving fraction exhibits the 'plateau effect' under the ultra-high dose rates radiation, which signifies that within a specific range of doses, the surviving fraction either exhibits minimal variation or increases with the dose. For a given dose, the surviving fraction increases with the dose rate until tending to a stable value, which means that the protection in normal tissue reaches saturation. Significance. The emergence of the 'plateau effect' allows delivering the higher doses while minimizing damage to normal tissue. Measurement of thermal properties of thin films is challenging. In particular, thermal characterization is very difficult in semi-transparent samples. Here, we use two photothermal methods to obtain information about the thermal diffusivity as well as thermal conductivity of azoheteroarene functionalized polymer thin layers. The photothermal beam deflection (PBD) method is employed to gather data directly on thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity, while the thermal lens (TL) method is employed to measure the effective thermal diffusivity. Consequently, the thermal diffusivity of the layers is indirectly estimated from the effective thermal diffusivity using a well-established theoretical relationship. Despite the utilization of distinct methods, our study reveals a remarkable consistency in the highly accurate results obtained from both approaches. This remarkable agreement reaffirms the reliability and mutual compatibility of the employed methods, highlighting their shared ability to provide accurate and congruent outcomes. Salvigenin is a Trimethoxylated Flavone enriched in Scutellariae Barbatae Herba and Scutellariae Radix and is demonstrated to have anti-tumor properties in colon cancer. Notwithstanding, the function and mechanism of Salvigenin in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are less well studied. Different doses of Salvigenin were taken to treat HCC cells. Cell viability, colony formation ability, cell migration, invasion, apoptosis, glucose uptake, and lactate production levels were detected. As shown by the data, Salvigenin concentration dependently dampened HCC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, weakened glycolysis by abating glucose uptake and lactate generation, and suppressed the profiles of glycolytic enzymes. Moreover, Salvigenin strengthened HCC cells' sensitivity to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) and attenuated HCC 5-FU-resistant cells' resistance to 5-FU. Through network pharmacological analysis, we found Salvigenin potentially regulates PI3K/AKT pathway. As shown by the data, Salvigenin repressed the phosphorylated levels of PI3K, AKT, and GSK-3β. The PI3K activator 740Y-P induced PI3K/AKT/GSK-3β pathway activation and promotive effects in HCC cells. However, Salvigenin substantially weakened 740Y-P-mediated effects. In-vivo assay revealed that Salvigenin hampered the growth and promoted apoptosis of HCC cells in nude mice. In recent years, polymeric nanocomposites are gaining more interest due to their versatile characteristics and utilization for thermal resistance, antibacterial, wound dressing, and biomedical purposes. In this work, the novel multifunctional hybrid nanofilms were prepared via vacuum-filtration and freeze-drying method by encapsulation of montmorillonite (MMT), L-malic-acid (L-M-A,) and curcumin (Cur) into bacterial cellulose (BC) matrix. The incorporation of MMT/L-M-A/Cur into the BC matrix not only improves the physiochemical properties but also confirms their usability as a potential biomaterial. The structural composition, morphology, proper elemental distribution, and dispersion of MMT/L-M-A/Cur in the BC matrix were characterized by SEM, EDS, XPS, FTIR, and XRD analysis. TGA and thermal properties analysis confirmed the combined effects of MMT/L-M-A/Cur/BC and their potential ability as an insulating material. Moreover, the internal activities of MMT/L-M-A at a high ratio ensure the sustained and controlled release behavior of curcumin from nanofilm (@DPPH radical scavenging activity). The MMT/L-M-A exhibits outstanding drug (Cur) loading ability which reduces the swelling capacity and enhanced the antioxidant properties of nanofilms. While, the mechanical properties of nanofilms illustrate the reduction in strength up to (stress; 8.87 ± 0.33 MPa, 8.63 ± 0.46 MPa, 2.86 ± 0.21 MPa, and strain; 14.49%, 23.87%, 24.97%) an adequate limit. The MMT/L-M-A/Cur/BC hybrid nanofilm (6 mg) have excellent antibacterial property up to 97.12% and 94.06% against S. aureus (ATCC-6538) and E.coli (ATCC-25922) respectively. Further, the cytotoxicity analysis on L-929 cells reveals the nontoxic behavior of all hybrid nanofilms with cell viability between 81 and 91% and confirms the cytocompatibility for cell proliferation. Total antioxidant capacity (TAC) is currently considered as a vital indicator of food quality in antioxidant ability and attracts much attention for human healthcare. It is thus of great significance to realize the accurate and rapid detection of TAC in foods. Herein, we have constructed a preferable hybrid nanozyme based on the mesoporous silica-stabilized CuO composited Fe3O4 nanoparticles (Fe3O4@MSNs@CuO, FMC NPs), which possess the enhanced peroxidase (POD)-like activity via cascade response for specific and sensitive determination of TAC in fruit foods. The results showed the hybrid nanozyme displayed a remarkable POD-like activity, excellent selectivity and sensitivity, and the limit of detection (LOD) of the colorimetric sensor was 6.13 mM with the concentration range from 10 to 45 mM. Therefore, the fabricated hybrid nanozyme can be regarded as an effective biosensor for the evaluation of antioxidant quality in fruit foods in future. Purple soil is a type of global soil that is referred to by various names in different countries, which makes it difficult to understand, utilize, and ameliorate purple soil internationally. Soil Taxonomy (ST) and the World Reference Base for Soil Resources (WRB) are the most widely used soil classification systems in the world. The aim of this study was to clarify the classification of purple soil in ST and the WRB and to establish a reference between different classification systems of purple soil. Therefore, based on the current principles and methods of the ST and WRB systems, 18 typical purple soil profiles in the eastern Sichuan Basin were identified, retrieved, and classified. Then, the soil units of the WRB were compared with those of ST and the Chinese Soil Taxonomy (CST). The results revealed that the 18 typical purple soil profiles could be classified into three soil orders, four soil group orders, and seven soil subgroups in ST and four reference soil groups (RSGs) in the WRB; each profile had its own unique principal and supplementary qualifier combinations within the soil units. It was found that when compared with the ST system, the WRB and CST systems had stronger abilities to distinguish purple soil. In addition, the WRB system was able to more comprehensively consider soil characteristics such as soil layer thickness, ferric horizon, soil color, texture mutations, and carbonate through qualifiers. However, the CST system added diagnostic characteristics, such as the lithologic characteristics of purplish sandstones and shales and the ferric properties and alic properties at the soil group and subgroup levels, which enhanced the differentiation ability of the purple soil at the subgroup level. Carrier transport and electrical properties are relevant to the performance of semiconductor materials and photovoltaic devices. In recent years, various kinds of high-resolution luminescence-based methods have been proposed to image these properties. Lock-in carrierography (LIC), as a dynamic photoluminescence-based method, has the advantages of self-calibration, higher signal to noise ratio than dc or transient modalities, and high-frequency imaging ability. At the present stage of development, LIC has evolved into homodyne lock-in carrierography and heterodyne lock-in carrierography. In this Perspective, we discuss the principles and theoretical background of both LIC modalities and review experimental systems and methods. Glucose plays a central role in tumor metabolism and development and is a target for novel therapeutics. To characterize the response of cancer cells to blockade of glucose uptake, we collected time-resolved microscopy data to track the growth of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. We then developed a mechanism-based, mathematical model to predict how a glucose transporter (GLUT1) inhibitor (Cytochalasin B) influences the growth of the MDA-MB-231 cells by limiting access to glucose. The model includes a parameter describing dose dependent inhibition to quantify both the total glucose level in the system and the glucose level accessible to the tumor cells. Four common machine learning models were also used to predict tumor cell growth. Both the mechanism-based and machine learning models were trained and validated, and the prediction error was evaluated by the coefficient of determination (R2). The random forest model provided the highest accuracy predicting cell dynamics (R2 = 0.92), followed by the decision tree (R2 = 0.89), k-nearest-neighbor regression (R2 = 0.84), mechanism-based (R2 = 0.77), and linear regression model (R2 = 0.69). Dyes are environmentally detrimental and prevalent pollutants in water. It is crucial to develop materials for water treatment with both adsorption/photocatalytic and antibacterial activity. In this work, bitter gourd-like Ag-loaded aramid nanofibers (ANFs@Ag) aerogel fibers were successfully prepared by a novel wet spinning process, in which the coupling of Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) cluster on the fiber surface could be enhanced by using ANFs as a support carrier. The as-prepared ANFs@Ag aerogel fibers exhibit uniform porous structure with the specific surface area and pore volume being 235–298 m2 g−1 and 0.54–0.63 m3 g−1, respectively, and the photocatalytic activity of ANFs@Ag aerogel fibers could be achieved owing to the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) effect and interband electronic transition of the bitter gourd-like AgNPs layer. The ANFs@Ag aerogel fibers showed high removal efficiency of crystalline violet with up to 98.66% under xenon lamp irradiation due to the synergetic effect of adsorption and photocatalysis. Moreover, bacterial disk diffusion experiments revealed that the ANFs@Ag aerogel fibers have significant antibacterial performance against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. In addition, the ANFs@Ag aerogel fibers exhibit superior thermal stability due to the loading of AgNPs. This work provides a new strategy for developing highly efficient porous ANFs–aerogel-based fiber composites, and the obtained bitter gourd-like ANFs@Ag composite aerogel fibers will have promising applications in the field of water purification. Limited studies examined the interaction effects between exposure to ambient PM2.5 and economic development on the settlement intention of floating population. We used binary logistic model to examine the association of PM2.5, per capita GDP (PGDP), PM2.5 × PGDP on the settlement intention. Additive interaction term of PM2.5 and PGDP level was used to investigate their interactive effects. Overall, each one grade increment in annual average PM2.5 was associated with decreased probability of settlement intention (OR = 0.847, 95%CI: 0.811–0.885). The interaction effect between PM2.5 and PGDP on settlement intention was significant (OR = 1.168, 95%CI: 1.142–1.194). The stratified analysis showed PM2.5 exhibits lower settlement intention in the aged 55 years or above, engaged in low-skilled works, and living in the western China. This study indicates that PM2.5-exposed will decrease the settlement intention of floating population. High economic development level can weaken the relationship between PM2.5 and settlement intention. There are limited studies investigating the relationship between exposure to PM2.5 and the health status among the mobile population. A cross-sectional analysis was performed in a nationally representative sample (2017 China Migrants Dynamic Survey data) consisting of 169,469 mobile population. The ordered logistic regression model was used to examine the association between PM2.5 and the health status in mobile population. Stratified analyses were performed to identify whether the association varied across gender, age group, and regions in China. Overall, every 10 μg/m3 increment in annual average PM2.5 was associated with increased risk of poor self-reported health (OR = 1.021, 95% CI: 1.012–1.030). Mobile population aged 31–49 years and living in the central region suffers the highest PM2.5-associated health risk (OR = 1.030, 95% CI: 1.019–1.042; OR = 1.095, 95% CI: 1.075–1.116). Our study suggests that PM2.5 exposure was associated with an increased risk of poor self-reported health in mobile population, particularly among the population aged 31–49 years and people living in the central region of China. The BZ and DB blocks in Tarim Oilfield (China) are condensate gas reservoirs operating under high pressure and high temperature. To mitigate and control the problem of wax deposition, in this study, the wax appearance temperature (WAT) at different cooling rates and wax melting temperature (WMT) at different heating rates of the condensate oil were tested using differential scanning calorimetry. In addition, the crystalline behaviors of wax during precipitation and melting were observed from a micro perspective. By considering the components of the condensate gas and the production data, the carbon number distribution of the well fluids under stratigraphic conditions was simulated. Based on the results, the phase envelope of the well fluids was also simulated, and the relationships between the phase and the temperature and pressure of the oil-gas condensate were analyzed. The temperature and pressure at different depths of the wells were simulated. It was found that the WAT decreased with increasing cooling rate and the WMT increased with increasing heating rate. Furthermore, the wax content of the oil-gas condensate in DB was higher than that in BZ. Finally, it was predicted that wax precipitation occurred above the depth of 500 m in the BZ well. A nondestructive detection method that combines convolutional neural network (CNN) and photoluminescence (PL) imaging was proposed for the multi-classification and multi-grading of defects during the fabrication process of silicon solar cells. In this paper, the PL was applied to collect the images of the defects of solar cells, and an image pre-processing method was introduced for enhancing the features of the defect images. Simultaneously, the defects were defined by 13 categories and three divided grades of each under the definition rules of defects that were proposed in accordance with distribution and characteristics of each defect category, and expand data were processed by various data augmentation. The model was therefore improved and optimized based on the YOLOv5 as the feature extractor and classifier. The capability of the model on distinguishing categories and grades of solar cell defects was improved via parameter tuning and image pre-processing. Through experimental analysis, the optimal combination of hyperparameters and the actual effect of data sample pre-processing on the training results of the neural network were determined. Conclusively, the reasons for the poor recognition results of the small target defects and complex feature defects by the current model were found and further work was confirmed under the foundation of the differences in recognition results between different categories and grades. This report is on convolution neural network (CNN) fusion lock-in thermography, which can implement the intelligent identification of defects for aviation honeycomb sandwich composites (HSCs). First, HSCs specimens with subsurface delamination defects were fabricated and stimulated by halogen lamps according to sinusoidal modulation, and the defects were reliably inspected using lock-in thermography. The amplitude and phase images (commonly referred to as feature images) were obtained by using a digital lock-in correlation algorithm. Furthermore, these feature images were changed into gray or color-level image formalism datasets, which is pre-processed in ways including contrast enhancement, threshold segmentation as well as mosaic data augmentation. Finally, the four-layer feature pyramid structure and ransformer are combined and introduced to the popular YOLOv5 CNN model, and a YOLOLT CNN model is formed to realize the defect identification. The average precision (AP) in the defect identification of HSCs in complex environments (contains noise and other objects) reached 93.2% and achieved an average recognition speed of 0.6 s/image. Layered oxychalcogenides have received extensive attention in the fields of magnetism, superconductivity, lithium battery, and luminescence due to their unique electronic, magnetic properties, and layered structure, among which layered oxyselenides have excellent and promising thermoelectric performance, such as BiCuSeO and Bi2LnO4Cu2Se2. Here, we successfully synthesized Sr2MO2Cu2Se2 (M = Co, Ni, Zn) and Sr2FeO3CuSe and investigated the thermoelectric properties at a wide temperature range (298–923 K). They have a relatively high Seebeck coefficient (>300 μV K−1) in medium to high temperature range and possess a low thermal conductivity. The power factor and ZT reach 65 μW m−1 K−1 and 0.07 at 923 K for intrinsic Sr2NiO2Cu2Se2, and a higher performance is expected to be achieved by strategies like carrier concentration optimization and band structure engineering. Kagome materials have been studied intensively in condensed matter physics. With rich properties, various Kagome materials emerge during this process. Here, we grew single crystals of Y0.5Fe3Sn3 and confirmed an YCo6Ge6-type Kagome-lattice structure by detailed crystal structure characterizations. This compound bears an antiferromagnetic ordering at T N = 551 K, and shows a weak ferromagnetism at low temperatures, where an anomalous Hall effect was observed, suggesting the non-zero Berry curvature. With the unstable antiferromagnetic ground state, our systematic investigations make Y0.5Fe3Sn3 a potential Kagome compound for Kagome or topological physics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: A dual-frequency phase modulating laser interferometer is proposed to detect acoustically induced waves at air–solid interface. The phase of the reference arm in this interferometer system is simultaneously modulated by a sinusoidal carrier wave and a low-frequency sinusoidal wave. Methods: A normalized phase generated carrier arctangent (PGC-Arctan)-based demodulation algorithm which is insensitive to phase modulation depth, light intensity disturbance, and carrier phase delay is proposed to restore measured acoustic waves from detection signals. In this algorithm, the carrier phase modulation depth is first accurately calculated according to the spectrum distribution law with a detection signal obtained by the dual-frequency phase modulating laser interferometer. Next, an in-phase signal and a quadrature carrier signal are introduced to mix with the detection signal, respectively. The carrier phase delay can be eventually determined after filtering, division, and arctangent operations. The in-phase and quadrature interference signal components can then be normalized by dividing specific coefficients constructed from the phase modulation depth and carrier phase delay. Finally, the arctangent algorithm and high-frequency filtering are used to obtain the measured acoustically induced interface waves. Experiments and Results: In this study, a partial fiber dual-frequency phase modulating laser interferometer is constructed to detect the interface waves excited by acoustic waves with different frequencies. The experiment results show that the proposed method and system can effectively restore the interface waves with low harmonic distortions, the signal-to-noise distortion ratio (SINAD) of the demodulated acoustic signal is 19.52 dB @ 3 kHz, and the dynamic range is 20.02 dB @ 3 kHz. A review entitled "A Review of Biofilm Formation of I Staphylococcus aureus i and Its Regulation Mechanism" discusses an overview of I S. aureus i biofilms, including the formation process, structural and functional properties of the biofilm matrix, and the mechanism that regulates biofilm formation [[5]]. I Escherichia coli i is also a common biofilm former, which normally colonizes in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals a few hours after birth, and pathogenic I E. coli i , which is the most common cause of gastrointestinal infections, such as diarrheal disease caused by enterotoxigenic I E. coli i (ETEC), and extraintestinal infections, such as urinary tract infections (UTI) caused by uropathogenic I E. coli i (UPEC). As concluded, the above manuscripts published in this topical collection provided comprehensive knowledge and insight, which contributes to our understanding of antimicrobial resistance epidemiology and molecular mechanisms, new antibiofilm strategies, and novel natural compounds for biofilm eradication, covering food and clinical fields. As a result, novel antibiofilm strategies that are able to interfere with cells inside and disassemble the biofilm matrix are needed in order to inhibit biofilm formation and/or disrupt persistent biofilms. The alveolar bone edge line is an important basis for the dentist to diagnose periodontitis. In view of the problem of difficulty in accurately identifying the marginal lines of alveolar bone in oral X-ray images, a periodontitis-assisted diagnosis method based deep learning is proposed. In the proposed method, the image segmentation model (PSPNet, U-Net, and Dense U-Net) was applied to segmenting oral dental X-ray images. PSPNet, U-Net, and Dense U-Net are prominent image segmentation models that have gained traction in the field of medical X-ray image segmentation. These models have demonstrated their effectiveness in accurately segmenting regions of interest in medical images, and have been extensively employed in various medical imaging segmentations. Based on this, the Canny algorithm was used to extract the alveolar bone edge line from the segmentation image. According to the experiment results, the Dense U-Net achieves the best oral dental X-ray image segmentation results. The Dice, Jc, HD95, and ASD of Dense U-Net for the segmentation of 140 periodontitis oral dental X-ray images in the test set are 95.21, 90.85, 34.53, and 34.67%, respectively. Compared with PSPNet and U-Net, the oral dental X-ray image segmentation results of the Dense U-Net model have significant advantages in four metrics: Dice, Jc, HD95, and ASD. Moreover, the alveolar bone edge lines extracted by the Canny algorithm from the oral dental X-ray images segmented by Dense U-Net are closer to the manually labeled results. Experimental results fully demonstrate the effectiveness of using deep learning techniques to extract the alveolar bone edge line. With the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization, water contamination has gradually become a big problem. Relevant studies show that adsorption is an efficient strategy to treat pollutants in water. MOFs are a class of porous materials with a three-dimensional frame structure shaped by the self-assembly of metal centers and organic ligands. Because of its unique performance advantages, it has become a promising adsorbent. At present, single MOFs cannot meet the needs, but the introduction of familiar functional groups on MOFs can promote the adsorption performance of MOFs on the target. In this review, the main advantages, adsorption mechanism, and specific applications of various functional MOF adsorbents for pollutants in water are reviewed. There are limited studies examining the association between PM2.5 exposure and incident cerebrovascular disease (CD) cases in China. In this study, daily counts of incident CD cases and daily PM2.5 concentrations were obtained in Yantai, Shandong Province, China from 2014 to 2019. We used a combination of the Poisson-distribution generalized linear model (GLM) and a distributed lag nonlinear model (DLNM) to examine the association of short-term exposure to ambient PM2.5 and incident cases of CD. The results revealed that for every 10 μg/m3 increment of PM2.5 would increase the incident CD cases by 0.216% (RR:1.00216, 95%CI:1.0016–1.0028) at lag4. The stratified analysis demonstrated that the females and residents aged 65 years or above presented higher short-term PM2.5-associated CD risks than the males and aged below 65 years. Targeted prevention strategies should be adopted to reduce the PM2.5-related CD burden, especially for the susceptible population in China. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Following meiotic recombination, each pair of homologous chromosomes acquires at least one crossover, which ensures accurate chromosome segregation and allows reciprocal exchange of genetic information. Recombination failure often leads to meiotic arrest, impairing fertility, but the molecular basis of recombination remains elusive. Here, we report a homozygous M1AP splicing mutation (c.1074 + 2T > C) in patients with severe oligozoospermia owing to meiotic metaphase I arrest. The mutation abolishes M1AP foci on the chromosome axes, resulting in decreased recombination intermediates and crossovers in male mouse models. M1AP interacts with the mammalian ZZS (an acronym for yeast proteins Zip2‐Zip4‐Spo16) complex components, SHOC1, TEX11, and SPO16. M1AP localizes to chromosomal axes in a SPO16‐dependent manner and colocalizes with TEX11. Ablation of M1AP does not alter SHOC1 localization but reduces the recruitment of TEX11 to recombination intermediates. M1AP shows cytoplasmic localization in fetal oocytes and is dispensable for fertility and crossover formation in female mice. Our study provides the first evidence that M1AP acts as a copartner of the ZZS complex to promote crossover formation and meiotic progression in males.
