Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the diagnostic value of IL-17 detection in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) and plasma samples from nonneutropenic patients with invasive pulmonary aspergillosis. Methods: We retrospectively collected data on non-neutropenic patients who were suspected to have IPA admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University between March 2020 to January 2023. IL-17 and GM were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Results: A total of 281 patients were enrolled in this study, of which 62 had proven or probable IPA and the remaining 219 patients were controls. The plasma and BALF IL-17 levels were significantly higher in the IPA group compared with the control group. The plasma GM, plasma IL17, BALF GM, and BALF IL17 assays had sensitivities of 56.5%, 72.6%, 68.7%, and 81.2%, respectively, and specificities of 87.7%, 69.4%, 91.9%, and 72.6%, respectively. The sensitivity of IL17 in plasma and BALF was higher than that of GM. Plasma GM in combination with IL-17 increases the sensitivity but does not decrease the diagnostic specificity of GM testing. The diagnostic sensitivity and specificity of BALF GM combined with IL-17 for IPA in non-neutropenic patients were greater than 80% and there was a significant increase in sensitivity compared with BALF GM. Conclusions: Plasma and BALF IL-17 levels were significantly higher in nonneutropenic patients with IPA. The sensitivity of plasma and BLAF IL-17 for diagnosing IPA in non-neutropenic patients was superior to that of GM. Combined detection of lavage fluid GM and IL17 significantly improves the diagnosis of IPA in non-neutropenic patients. The combined detection of GM and IL-17 in plasma also contributes to the diagnosis of IPA in patients who cannot tolerate invasive procedures. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Leucine-rich glioma-inactivated protein 1 (LGI1), a secretory protein in the brain, plays a critical role in myelination; dysfunction of this protein leads to hypomyelination and white matter abnormalities (WMAs). Here, we hypothesized that LGI1 may regulate myelination through binding to an unidentified receptor on the membrane of oligodendrocytes (OLs). To search for this hypothetic receptor, we analyzed LGI1 binding proteins through LGI1-3 × FLAG affinity chromatography with mouse brain lysates followed by mass spectrometry. An OL-specific membrane protein, the oligodendrocytic myelin paranodal and inner loop protein (OPALIN), was identified. Conditional knockout (cKO) of OPALIN in the OL lineage caused hypomyelination and WMAs, phenocopying LGI1 deficiency in mice. Biochemical analysis revealed the downregulation of Sox10 and Olig2, transcription factors critical for OL differentiation, further confirming the impaired OL maturation in Opalin cKO mice. Moreover, virus-mediated re-expression of OPALIN successfully restored myelination in Opalin cKO mice. In contrast, re-expression of LGI1-unbound OPALIN_K23A/D26A failed to reverse the hypomyelination phenotype. In conclusion, our study demonstrated that OPALIN on the OL membrane serves as an LGI1 receptor, highlighting the importance of the LGI1/OPALIN complex in orchestrating OL differentiation and myelination. Objective: Tangbi capsule (TBC) is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription, which has the potential to improve the vascular insufficiency of lower extremities and limb numbness in diabetes. However, the potential mechanism remains unknown. This study aims to investigate the pharmacological effects and mechanism of TBC on rats with diabetic lower extremities arterial disease (LEAD). Methods: The mechanism of TBC on diabetic LEAD was investigated through metabolomics and transcriptomics analysis, and the main components of TBC were determined by mass spectrometry. The efficacy and mechanism of TBC on diabetic LEAD rats were investigated through in vitro experiments, histopathology, blood flow monitoring, western blot, and real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results: Mass spectrometry analysis identified 31 active chemical components in TBC including (2R)-2,3-Dihydroxypropanoic acid, catechin, citric acid, miquelianin, carminic acid, salicylic acid, formononetin, etc. In vitro analysis showed that TBC could reduce endothelial cell apoptosis and promote angiogenesis. Histopathological analysis showed that TBC led to an obvious improvement in diabetic LEAD as it improved fibrous tissue proliferation and reduced arterial wall thickening. In addition, TBC could significantly increase the expression levels of HIF-1α, eNOS, and VEGFA proteins and genes while reducing that of calpain-1 and TGF-β, suggesting that TBC can repair vascular injury. Compared with the model group, there were 47 differentially expressed genes in the whole blood of TBC groups, with 25 genes upregulated and 22 downregulated. Eighty-seven altered metabolites were identified from the serum samples. Combining the changes in differentially expressed genes and metabolites, we found that TBC could regulate arginine biosynthesis, phenylalanine metabolism, pyrimidine metabolism, arachidonic acid metabolism, pyrimidine metabolism, arachidonic acid metabolism, nucleotide metabolism, vitamin B6 metabolism and other metabolic pathways related to angiogenesis, immune-inflammatory response, and cell growth to improve diabetic LEAD. Conclusion: TBC improved vascular endothelial injury, apoptosis, lipid accumulation, liver and kidney function, and restored blood flow in the lower extremities of diabetic LEAD rats. The mechanism of TBC in the treatment of diabetic LEAD may be related to the modulation of inflammatory immunity, lipid metabolism, and amino acid metabolism. Porous ionic liquids have demonstrated excellent performance in the field of separation, attributed to their high specific surface area and efficient mass transfer. Herein, task-specific protic porous ionic liquids (PPILs) were prepared by employing a novel one-step coupling neutralization reaction strategy for extractive desulfurization. The single-extraction efficiency of PPILs reached 75.0% for dibenzothiophene. Moreover, adding aromatic hydrocarbon interferents resulted in a slight decrease in the extraction efficiency of PPILs (from 45.2% to 37.3%, 37.9%, and 33.5%), indicating the excellent extraction selectivity of PPILs. The experimental measurements and density functional theory calculations reveal that the surface channels of porous structures can selectively capture dibenzothiophene by the stronger electrophilicity (Eint (HS surface channel/DBT) = - 39.8 kcal mol-1 ), and the multiple extraction sites of ion pairs can effectively enrich and transport dibenzothiophene from the oil phase into PPILs through π...π, C-H...π and hydrogen bonds interactions. Furthermore, this straightforward synthetic strategy can be employed in preparing porous liquids, offering new possibilities for synthesizing PPILs with tailored functionalities. This study presents a portable, low-cost, point-of-care (POC) system for the simultaneous detection of blood glucose and hematocrit. The system consists of a disposable origami microfluidic paper-based analytical device (μPAD) for plasma separation, filtration, and reaction functions and a 3D-printed cassette for hematocrit and blood glucose detection using a smartphone. The origami μPAD is patterned using a cost-effective label printing technique instead of the conventional wax printing method. The 3D-printed cassette incorporates an array of LED lights, which mitigates the effects of intensity variations in the ambient light and hence improves the accuracy of the blood glucose and hematocrit concentration measurements. The hematocrit concentration is determined quantitatively by measuring the distance of plasma wicking along the upper layer of the origami μPAD, which is pretreated with sodium chloride and Tween 20 to induce dehydration and aggregation of the red blood cells. The filtered plasma also penetrates to the lower layer of the origami μPAD, where it reacts with embedded colorimetric assay reagents to produce a yellowish-brown complex. A color image of the reaction complex is captured using a smartphone inserted into the 3D-printed cassette. The image is analyzed using self-written RGB software to quantify the blood glucose concentration. The calibration results indicate that the proposed detection platform provides an accurate assessment of the blood glucose level over the range of 45–630 mg/dL (R2 = 0.9958). The practical feasibility of the proposed platform is demonstrated by measuring the blood glucose and hematocrit concentrations in 13 human whole blood samples. Taking the measurements obtained from commercial glucose and hematocrit meters as a benchmark, the proposed system has a differential of no more than 6.4% for blood glucose detection and 9.1% for hematocrit detection. The design of nanopore structures in porous carbon materials plays a crucial role in achieving high capacitance and rate performance in capacitors. This study introduced a method for the synthesis of high specific surface area nitrogen-doped porous carbon (HNPC) materials by staged nanopore formation. The method involved designing a composite reaction precursor using oxalic acid (H2C2O4), p-phenylenediamine (PDA), and potassium hydroxide (KOH), as well as creating micropores during the pyrolysis process and constructing micropores and mesopores during potassium carbonate (K2CO3) activation stage. HNPC materials synthesized in this study demonstrated a high specific capacitance and exceptional rate performance in aqueous electrolytes across a broad pH spectrum (acidic, neutral, and alkaline) as well as in organic electrolytes. Specific capacitances of 263.3 F g-1, 366.1 F g-1, and 304.4 F g-1 (at a scanning rate of 2 mV s-1) were attained in 1 M lithium sulfate (Li2SO4), 6 M KOH, and 1 M sulfuric acid (H2SO4) electrolytes, respectively, indicating high capacitance values. By configuring them as symmetric supercapacitors, they performed high energy densities of 8.2 Wh kg-1 and 22.9 Wh kg-1 in aqueous and organic electrolytes, respectively, while maintaining capacity retention rates of 81.2% and 83.9% after 10,000 and 5000 cycles. Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the role of Nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT) in the drug sensitivity of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells, with a focus on its impact on autophagy and resistance to the chemotherapeutic agent osimertinib. The study hypothesized that NNMT knockdown would enhance drug sensitivity by modifying autophagic processes, providing a potential new therapeutic target for overcoming chemoresistance in lung cancer. Methods: Proteomic analysis was utilized to identify changes in protein expression following NNMT knockdown in H1975 and H1975 osimertinib resistance (H1975OR) lung cancer cell lines. Gene expression patterns and their correlation with NNMT expression in lung cancer patients were analyzed using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) dataset. Additionally, a predictive model for lung cancer survival was developed via lasso regression analysis based on NNMT-associated gene expression. Drug sensitivity was assessed using the IC50 values and apoptosis ratio, and autophagy was evaluated through Western blot and flow cytometric analysis. Results: Significant variations in the expression of 1,182 proteins were observed following NNMT knockdown, with a significant association with autophagy-related genes. Analysis of gene expression patterns unveiled a significant correlation between NNMT expression and specific changes in gene expression in lung cancer. The predictive model successfully forecasted lung cancer patient survival outcomes, highlighting the potential of NNMT-associated genes in predicting patient survival. Knockdown of NNMT reversed osimertinib resistance in H1975 cells, as evidenced by altered IC50 values and apoptosis ratio, and changes were observed in autophagy markers. Discussion: Knockdown of NNMT in lung cancer cells enhances drug sensitivity by modulating autophagy, providing a promising therapeutic target to overcome chemoresistance in NSCLC. The study underscores the importance of NNMT in lung cancer pathology and underscores its potential as a predictive marker for clinical outcomes. Introduction: The conventional 3-D point cloud-based deformation analysis methods, such as the shortest distance (SD), cloud-to-cloud (C2C), and multiscale model-to-model cloud comparison (M3C2), essentially regard the closest distance between two periods of point cloud data as the deformation, rather than the true position of the same point in 3-D space before and after deformation. Methods: This paper proposes a method based on the ICP algorithm to calculate the differences between the chunked multi-period point clouds to recognizes the 3-D deformations. Results and discussion: The results show that the obtained results are very close to the GNSS data but with a much larger spatial monitoring range. The accuracy is higher than that of the SD method. Moreover, we analyze the statistical relationship between the point cloud block size and the deformation vector error and determine the optimal block size. The aim of this article is to optimize the deformation analysis method and improve its accuracy to provide techniques and ideas for the wider surface deformation monitoring research field. For instance, combining this method with data from contact methods constructs a 3D overall deformation model of the mountain, enabling real-time monitoring and early warning of debris flows. Purpose: To evaluate the utility of supine roll test (SRT) and alternative positional tests, such as head-shaking test (HST), seated supine positioning test (SSPT), bow and lean test (BLT), and rapid axial roll test (RART) in determining the affected semicircular canal of horizontal semicircular canal benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (HSC-BPPV). Methods: In an observational cohort study, 553 patients diagnosed with HSCBPPV were divided into five groups in terms of different positional tests received: SRT group (n = 110), HST+ SRT (n = 112), BLT + SRT (n = 114), SSPT+SRT (n = 108) and RART+SRT (n = 109). The same method was used for the last four groups: The patients were first subjected to different alternative positional tests and then to SRT, and the nystagmus was observed separately to determine the affected side. The primary outcomes compared included the accuracy and sensitivity of these tests in the determination of the affected semicircular canal in HSC-BPPV. Results: Patients with nystagmus elicited by positional tests accounted for 84.99% (470/553). The elicitation rate of nystagmus of SRT was lowest, being 77.27% (85/110). The elicitation rate of nystagmus were higher in the test groups than in the control group, and RART+SRT group yielded the highest elicitation rate of nystagmus (95.41%, 104/109). Among the alternative positional tests, RART attained the highest elicitation rate of nystagmus (101/109, 92.66%). Comparison between alternative positional tests and SRT, RART and SRT showed obviously better agreement in determining the affected semicircular canal (85.45%, 96/109) and eliciting nystagmus (95.41%, Kappa = 0.642), but no difference was found in curative effect when the affected side was accurately determined (χ2 = 1.618, p = 0.655). Conclusion: All alternative positional tests are helpful for eliciting nystagmus in patients with HSC-BPPV, and the significant advantages of RART include highsensitivity in eliciting nystagmus and high accuracy in determining the affected semicircular canal, which provided objective support for the correct diagnosis of HSC-BPPV and the successful reduction of otolith. Objective: To develop a CT-based nomogram to predict the response of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) to neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus immunotherapy. Methods: In this retrospective study, 158 consecutive patients with advanced ESCC receiving contrast-enhanced CT before neoadjuvant chemotherapy plus immunotherapy were randomized to a training cohort (TC, n = 121) and a validation cohort (VC, n = 37). Response to treatment was assessed with response evaluation criteria in solid tumors. Patients in the TC were divided into the responder (n = 69) and non-responder (n = 52) groups. For the TC, univariate analyses were performed to confirm factors associated with response prediction, and binary analyses were performed to identify independent variables to develop a nomogram. In both the TC and VC, the nomogram performance was assessed by area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), calibration slope, and decision curve analysis (DCA). Results: In the TC, univariate analysis showed that cT stage, cN stage, gross tumor volume, gross volume of all enlarged lymph nodes, and tumor length were associated with the response (all P < 0.05). Binary analysis demonstrated that cT stage, cN stage, and tumor length were independent predictors. The independent factors were imported into the R software to construct a nomogram, showing the discriminatory ability with an AUC of 0.813 (95% confidence interval: 0.735-0.890), and the calibration curve and DCA showed that the predictive ability of the nomogram was in good agreement with the actual observation. Background: Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant disease that can give rise to the formation of vascular lesions in affected individuals. These lesions, whether occurring spontaneously or as a result of trauma, have the potential to cause severe and even fatal hemorrhage. Case description: We presented a case demonstrating the most extensive hematoma ever documented in a patient with NF1, resulting from a minor trauma. He experienced hemodynamic instability due to severe anemia. Arteriography revealed a rupture in the intercostal artery, which was successfully treated through interventional embolization to stop the hemorrhage. Additionally, we implemented a refined surgical approach, beginning with suturing, followed by the meticulous resection of necrotic and aberrant tissues, thereby markedly diminishing bleeding. Conclusion: Minor trauma may cause severe bleeding in patients with NF1, which can be life-threatening. Timely diagnosis of NF1 and effective hemostatic techniques are key to successful treatment. The Sichuan-Yunnan region is the main production area of yaks in southwestern China, with rich genetic resources of Yaks. Nevertheless, there have been limited study on the genetic characteristics of the entire yak populations in Tibet and southwestern China. In this study, we performed whole-genome resequencing to identify genetic variation information in a total of 198 individuals fromsix yak breeds (populations) in Sichuan (Muli yak, Jinchuan yak, Changtai yak, Maiwa yak), Yunnan (Zhongdian yak), and Tibet (Tibetan yak). The aim was to investigate the wholegenome genetic diversity, population genetic structure, and genome selection signatures. We observed that all six populations exhibit abundant genetic diversity. Except for Tibetan yaks, which showed low nucleotide diversity (0.00104), the remaining yak populations generally displayed high nucleotide diversity (0.00129-0.00153). Population genetic structure analysis revealed that, among the six yak populations, Muli yak exhibited greater differentiation from other yak populations and formed a distinct cluster independently. TheMaiwa yak population displayed a complex genetic structure and exhibited gene exchangewith Jinchuan and Changtai yaks. Positive selection signals were detected in candidate genes associated with growth (GNB4, HMGA2, TRPS1, and LTBP1), reproduction (PI4KB, DYNC1I1, and GRIP1), immunity (CD200 and IL1RAP), lactation (SNX13 and CPM), hypoxia adaptation (NDUFB6, PRKN, and MRPS9), hair (KRT24, KRT25, and KRT26), meat quality (SUCLG2), digestion and absorption (CLDN1), and pigment deposition (OCA2) using the integrated Pi and FST methods. Significance: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is a global health concern with significant implications for vascular health. The current evaluation methods cannot achieve effective, portable, and quantitative evaluation of foot microcirculation. Aim: We aim to use a wearable device laser Doppler flowmetry (LDF) to evaluate the foot microcirculation of T2DM patients at rest. Approach: Eleven T2DM patients and twelve healthy subjects participated in this study. The wearable LDF was used to measure the blood flows (BFs) for regions of the first metatarsal head (M1), fifth metatarsal head (M5), heel, and dorsal foot. Typical wavelet analysis was used to decompose the five individual control mechanisms: endothelial, neurogenic, myogenic, respiratory, and heart components. The mean BF and sample entropy (SE) were calculated, and the differences between diabetic patients and healthy adults and among the four regions were compared. Results: Diabetic patients showed significantly reduced mean BF in the neurogenic (p = 0.044) and heart (p = 0.001) components at theM1 and M5 regions (p = 0.025) compared with healthy adults. Diabetic patients had significantly lower SE in the neurogenic (p = 0.049) and myogenic (p = 0.032) components at the M1 region, as well as in the endothelial (p < 0.001) component at the M5 region and in the myogenic component at the dorsal foot (p = 0.007), compared with healthy adults. The SE in the myogenic component at the dorsal foot was lower than at theM5 region (p = 0.050) and heel area (p = 0.041). Similarly, the SE in the heart component at the dorsal foot was lower than at the M5 region (p = 0.017) and heel area (p = 0.028) in diabetic patients. Conclusions: This study indicated the potential of using the novel wearable LDF device for tracking vascular complications and implementing targeted interventions in T2DM patients. Coxsackievirus B1 (CVB1), an enterovirus with multiple clinical presentations, has been associated with potential long‐term consequences, including hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD), in some patients. However, the related animal models, transmission dynamics, and long‐term tissue tropism of CVB1 have not been systematically characterized. In this study, we established a model of CVB1 respiratory infection in rhesus macaques and evaluated the clinical symptoms, viral load, and immune levels during the acute phase (0–14 days) and long‐term recovery phase (15–30 days). We also investigated the distribution, viral clearance, and pathology during the long‐term recovery period using 35 postmortem rhesus macaque tissue samples collected at 30 days postinfection (d.p.i.). The results showed that the infected rhesus macaques were susceptible to CVB1 and exhibited HFMD symptoms, viral clearance, altered cytokine levels, and the presence of neutralizing antibodies. Autopsy revealed positive viral loads in the heart, spleen, pancreas, soft palate, and olfactory bulb tissues. HE staining demonstrated pathological damage to the liver, spleen, lung, soft palate, and tracheal epithelium. At 30 d.p.i., viral antigens were detected in visceral, immune, respiratory, and muscle tissues but not in intestinal or neural tissues. Brain tissue examination revealed viral meningitis‐like changes, and CVB1 antigen expression was detected in occipital, pontine, cerebellar, and spinal cord tissues at 30 d.p.i. This study provides the first insights into CVB1 pathogenesis in a nonhuman primate model of HFMD and confirms that CVB1 exhibits tissue tropism following long‐term infection. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This article presents the development of two new radical skeletons, BnBTM and bisBnTM, which offer improved stability and efficiency compared to the previously reported TTM radical. By incorporating cyano groups, these new skeletons exhibit enhanced photoluminescence quantum efficiency and longer-wavelength emission. Background: Coronary artery calcification (CAC) is a crucial marker for coronary atherosclerosis, and the extent of CAC is closely linked to the incidence and progression of cardiovascular diseases. The interleukin-2 (IL-2) receptor (IL-2R), which plays a critical role in mediating the proliferation and differentiation of immune cells, may also be involved in the development of CAC. The study aimed to investigate the relationship between IL-2R and CAC, with the goal of providing new insights into cardiovascular diseases. Methods: In this study, we enrolled 606 patients diagnosed with coronary artery disease to assess CAC. Based on coronary artery calcification score (CACS), patients were divided into two groups: the non-severe CAC group (CACS =400 Agatston units, AU) and the severe CAC group (CACS >400 AU). Results: The results showed that IL-2R levels were significantly higher in patients with severe CAC compared to those with non-severe CAC (383 vs. 352 pg/mL, p = 0.002). Moreover, the level of IL-2R was positively correlated with the severity of CAC, independent of other clinical risk factors. According to Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve, the IL-2R prediction model demonstrated a good capability in distinguishing severe CAC with the Area Under the Curve (AUC) value of 0.726. Conclusions: Our study suggests that IL-2R is independently associated with the occurrence of severe CAC in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. Additionally, IL-2R may play a crucial role in the development of advanced atherosclerosis. Efforts to protect electric power systems from faults have commonly relied on the use of ultra-high frequency (UHF) antennas for detecting partial discharge (PD) as a common precursor to faults. However, the effectiveness of existing UHF antennas suffers from a number of challenges such as limited bandwidth, relatively large physical size, and low detection sensitivity. The present study addresses these issues by proposing a compact microstrip patch antenna with fixed dimensions of 100 mm × 100 mm × 1.6 mm. The results of computations yield an optimized antenna design consisting of 2nd-order Hilbert fractal units positioned within a four-layer serpentine arrangement with a fractal unit connection distance of 3.0 mm. Specifically, the optimized antenna design achieves a detection bandwidth for which the voltage standing wave ratio is less than 2 that is approximately 97.3% of the UHF frequency range (0.3-3 GHz). Finally, a prototype antenna is fabricated using standard printed circuit board technology, and the results of experiments demonstrate that the proposed antenna is capable of detecting PD signals at a distance of 8 m from the discharge source. Heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis is an important strategy for the industrial production of chiral compounds. Herein, we reported a polymer-bound Xu-Phos-derived palladium catalyst that shows good performance in heterogeneous asymmetric reductive Heck reaction of allyl aryl ethers. In this study, we addressed the problem of maximum output power in wave energy devices by analyzing the forces acting on the buoy and oscillators under the influence of ocean waves. The motion models for both floating devices and oscillators were developed, and algorithms were devised to determine the maximum output power of wave energy devices. When the buoy was only undergoing linear motion, a second-order ordinary differential equation could be established with displacement as the unknown variable. The main objective of this study was to maximize power, which was composed of the power generated by the damper, with the damping coefficient as the decision variable. Additionally, it was necessary to consider the following constraints in the motion equations: gravity, buoyancy, wave excitation force, added inertia force, wave damping force, static water restoring force, and the reactive forces from the damper and spring. By solving an unconstrained minimization problem related to the damping coefficient, the solution to achieve maximum power during linear motion could be found. When the rotation of the buoy was considered, we needed to modify the objective function to include the contribution of the rotational damper and introduce the rotational damping coefficient as a decision variable. Furthermore, we needed to add torque analysis as a constraint to account for the rotational motion of the buoy. 3D interactive display marketing is a marketing method that uses 3D interactive technology and three-dimensional display scenes to facilitate interaction between people and display content. This approach has been widely used in online retail and is very popular in China's automotive industry. The automobile industry tries to solve the severe issue of potential client loss in the automotive sector by using 3D interactive display marketing to persuade consumers to buy cars. However, it's still unclear whether and how 3D interactive display marketing in the automobile sector might alter consumers' inclination to buy cars. To address this issue, this study collected data through experiments and questionnaires and used a structural equation model to explore how automotive 3D interactive display marketing affected consumers' willingness to purchase cars. The study established a model consisting of seven dimensions: information richness, information quality, interaction quality, esthetic experience, action experience, emotional experience, and willingness to purchase. It has been rarely reported that a stuck optical coherence tomography (OCT) catheter can lead to longitudinal stent deformation (LSD). This complication can result in incomplete stent apposition and dissection after stent implantation. In this study, we present a case where a bailout stent was implanted in the distal segment of the left anterior descending artery (LAD) after longitudinal stent deformation caused by a stuck OCT catheter. This approach was taken to prevent acute stent thrombosis, subacute stent thrombosis, in-stent restenosis (ISR), and death. The analysis of interwell connectivity plays an important role in the formulation of oilfield development plans and the description of residual oil distribution. In fact, sandstone reservoirs in China's onshore oilfields generally have the characteristics of thin and many layers, so multi-layer joint production is usually adopted. It remains a challenge to ensure the accuracy of splitting and dynamic connectivity in each layer of the injection-production wells with limited field data. The three-dimensional well pattern of multi-layer reservoir and the relationship between injection-production wells can be equivalent to a directional heterogeneous graph. In this paper, an improved graph neural network is proposed to construct an interacting process mimics the real interwell flow regularity. In detail, this method is used to split injection and production rates by combining permeability, porosity and effective thickness, and to invert the dynamic connectivity in each layer of the injection-production wells by attention mechanism. Based on the material balance and physical information, the overall connectivity from the injection wells, through the water injection layers to the production layers and the output of final production wells is established. Meanwhile, the change of well pattern caused by perforation, plugging and switching of wells at different times is achieved by updated graph structure in spatial and temporal ways. The effectiveness of the method is verified by a combination of reservoir numerical simulation examples and field example. The method corresponds to the actual situation of the reservoir, has wide adaptability and low cost, has good practical value, and provides a reference for adjusting the injection-production relationship of the reservoir and the development of the remaining oil. Accumulating evidence confirms that sleep insufficiency is a high risk factor for cognitive impairment, which involves inflammation and synaptic dysfunction. Resveratrol, an agonist of the Sirt1, has demonstrated anti-inflammation and neuroprotective effects in models of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and schizophrenia. However, the beneficial effects of resveratrol on sleep deprivation-induced cognitive deficits and its underlying molecular mechanisms are unclear. In the present study, thirty-two male C57BL/6 J mice were randomly divided into a Control+DMSO group, Control+Resveratrol group, SD+DMSO group, and SD+Resveratrol group. The mice in the SD+Resveratrol group underwent 5 days of sleep deprivation after pretreatment with resveratrol (50 mg/kg) for 2 weeks, while the mice in the SD+DMSO group only underwent sleep deprivation. After sleep deprivation, we evaluated spatial learning and memory function using the Morris water maze test. We used general molecular biology techniques to detect changes in levels of proinflammatory cytokines and Sirt1/miR-134 pathway-related synaptic plasticity proteins. We found that resveratrol significantly reversed sleep deprivationinduced learning and memory impairment, elevated interleukin-1β, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α levels, and decreased brain-derived neurotrophic factor, tyrosine kinase receptor B, postsynaptic density protein-95, and synaptophysin levels by activating the Sirt1/miR-134 pathway. In conclusion, resveratrol is a promising agent for preventing sleep deprivation-induced cognitive dysfunction by reducing pro-inflammatory cytokines and improving synaptic function via the Sirt1/miR-134 pathway. Background: Despite early attempts, the relationship between immune characteristics and gastrointestinal tract cancers remains incompletely elucidated. Hence, rigorous and further investigations in this domain hold significant clinical relevance for the development of novel potential immunotherapeutic targets. Methods: We conducted a two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis using the tools available in the “TwoSampleMR” R package. The GWAS data for these 731 immune traits were sourced from the GWAS Catalog database. Concurrently, data on gastrointestinal tract cancers, encompassing malignant tumors in the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, and rectum, were extracted from the FinnGen database. The immune traits subjected to MR analysis predominantly fall into four categories: median fluorescence intensities (MFI), relative cell (RC), absolute cell (AC), and morphological parameters (MP). To ensure the reliability of our findings, sensitivity analyses were implemented to address robustness, account for heterogeneity, and alleviate the impact of horizontal pleiotropy. Results: A total of 78 immune traits causally linked to gastrointestinal tract cancers were identified, encompassing esophageal cancer (12 traits), gastric cancer (13 traits), small intestine cancer (22 traits), colon cancer (12 traits), and rectal cancer (19 traits). Additionally, 60 immune traits were recognized as protective factors associated with gastrointestinal tract cancers, distributed across esophageal cancer (14 traits), gastric cancer (16 traits), small intestine cancer (7 traits), colon cancer (14 traits), and rectal cancer (9 traits). Furthermore, it was observed that seven immune traits are causally related to gastrointestinal tract cancers in at least two locations. These traits include “CCR2 on CD14- CD16+ monocyte,” “CD19 on IgD+ CD38-,” “CD19 on IgD+ CD38- naive,” “CD25hi CD45RA+ CD4 not Treg AC,” “CD27 on unsw mem,” “CD28 on CD39+ activated Treg,” and “CD45 on CD4+.” Conclusion: This study elucidates a causal link between immune cells and gastrointestinal tract cancers at various sites through genetic investigation. Objective: Interspinous spacer (ISS)-based and pedicle screw-rod dynamic fixator (PDF)- based topping-off devices have been applied in lumbar/lumbosacral fusion surgeries for preventing the development of proximal adjacent segment degeneration. However, little attention has been paid to sacroiliac joint (SIJ), which belongs to the adjacent joints. Accordingly, the objective of this study was to compare how these 2 topping-off devices affect the SIJ biomechanics. Methods: A validated, normal finite-element lumbopelvic model (L3-pelvis) was initially adjusted to simulate interbody fusion with rigid fixation at the L5-S1 level, and then the DIAM or BioFlex system was instrumented at the L4-5 level to establish the ISS-based or PDF-based topping-off model, respectively. All the developed models were loaded with moments of 4 physiological motions using hybrid loading protocol. Results: Compared with the rigid fusion model (without topping-off devices), range of motion and von-Mises stress at the SIJs were increased by 23.1%-64.1% and 23.6%-62.8%, respectively, for the ISS-based model and by 51.2%-126.7% and 50.4%-108.7%, respectively, for the PDF-based model. Conclusion: The obtained results suggest that the PDF-based topping-off device leads to higher increments in SIJ motion and stress than ISS-based topping-off device following lumbosacral fusion, implying topping-off technique could be linked to an increased risk of SIJ degeneration, especially when using PDF-based device. Background: Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) is a chronic biliary autoimmune liver disease characterized by intrahepatic cholestasis. Swertia mussotii Franch. (SMF) is a Tibetan medicine with hepatoprotective and anti-inflammatory activities. In this study, the therapeutic effect and potential mechanisms of SMF on PBC were investigated by bioinformatics analysis and in vitro experimental validation, with the aim of promoting the progress of SMF and PBC research. Methods: We first explored the therapeutic effects and key targets of SMF on PBC using a network pharmacology approach, further screened the core targets using the GSE79850 dataset, and finally validated the results using molecular docking techniques and in vitro experiments. Results: By bioinformatics analysis, we identified core targets of SMF for PBC treatment (STAT3, JAK2, TNF-α, and IL-1β) and important signaling pathways: JAK-STAT, TNF, and PI3K-AKT. The molecular docking results showed that the significant components of SMF had good binding properties to the core targets. In vitro experiments showed that SMF extracts improved the extent of epithelial-mesenchymal transition in human intrahepatic biliary epithelial cells and had a significant reversal effect on epithelial-mesenchymal transition process markers and potential targets in PBC. Conclusion: SMF may exert its therapeutic effects on PBC by acting on important targets such as STAT3, JAK2, TNF-α, IL-1β, Vimentin, and E-cadherin and the pathways in which they are involved. Cadmium (Cd) is a toxic heavy metal element, which can cause oxidative stress in plant cells and induce cell damage. Currently, the research investigating autophagy function and Cd injury in plants is still limited. In our study, we exposed Pakchoi plants to Cd chloride at different concentrations (0, 2, 4, 6, and 8 mg·L−1) for 4 consecutive weeks. The results showed that toxic damage of Pakchoi was induced by Cd exposure and its Cd injury accumulation showed a positive dose relationship with metal concentrations. When Pakchoi was exposed to Cd, it generated excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS), especially H2O2. Our data revealed that LC3 upregulation and autophagosome formation were noted in H2O2-activated root cells, indicating that Cd damage caused autophagy in Pakchoi. Under Cd stress, the antioxidant enzyme activity of peroxidase (POD), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), catalase (CAT), and superoxide dismutase (SOD) were decreased as Cd concentration was increased, lowest in 8 mg·L−1 treatment. Using transcriptome analysis by RNA sequencing, we identified 860 significant differentially expressed genes (DEGs) with a fold change of no less than 2 between the Cd-treated and the control groups, among which 513 genes were upregulated and 347 genes were downregulated. The DEGs were mostly enriched in functions related to the hormonal regulation of digestion and absorption, transport processes, transporter activity, and the apical plasma membrane composition. A total of 6 autophagy-related genes, including 4 AMPK genes, 1 ATG13 gene, and 1 Beclin1 gene, were found to have significantly different expression levels in the Cd groups. The expression levels of these 6 genes were significantly different between the control and Cd groups (p < 0.05) when validated by real-time quantitative PCR. Furthermore, we found the ratio of p-AMPK and AMPK increased significantly in the Cd group (p < 0.05), indicating that Cd-induced autophagy may be mediated by AMPK phosphorylation. Tuta absoluta (Meyrick) (Lepidoptera: Gelechiidae) is an invasive alien species that causes major losses in the Chinese tomato industry. Historically, insecticides have been used extensively to control T. absoluta, but resistant populations have been frequently detected. Biological control represents a sustainable and effective method with which to prevent and control T. absoluta. Egg parasitoids from the family of Trichogrammatidae (Hymenoptera) have been identified as potential biological option for controlling of T. absoluta. In the present study, we aimed to identify local dominant Trichogramma species that exhibited the best biological control ability against T. absoluta in China. To accomplish this, we compared the selectivity and number of offspring of three Trichogramma species to T. absoluta by performing host preference experiments in the laboratory. We also evaluated the fitness of Trichogramma against T. absoluta by assessing the parasitic ability and behavior of their offspring on different hosts. Compared with Trichogramma chilonis and Trichogramma dendrolimi, Trichogramma ostriniae exhibited a significantly greater preference to T. absoluta eggs and produced a higher number of offspring. The emergence rate and proportion of female T. ostriniae parasitizing the eggs of T. absoluta was higher than that of the other two Trichogramma species, the rate of T. ostriniae offspring deformity was only 3.00%. In addition, T. ostriniae has shortest immature stage and the longest adult stage among the three species. It is important to improve the comprehensive performance of the ductile iron bars (DIBs) for the cylinder block of the extra high pressure hydraulic plunger pump and accelerate the industrial application. In this work, the LZQT600-3 DIBs with the diameter of 145 mm were prepared by the horizontal continuous casting (HCC) process, that is, LZQT600-3 HCCDIBs. The microstructure and room temperature tensile properties of different sections [left-edge (surface layer), left-1/2R (left half of the radius), and the center of the HCCDIBs] were studied. The results show that the spheroidization of LZQT600-3 HCCDIBs matrix from the left-edge, left1/2R to the center is at nodulizing grade II and above. As the cooling rate gradually decreases from surface to the center of the HCCIBs, the number of spheroidized graphite is gradually reduced, the size is gradually increased, the shape factor is decreased, and the pearlite content and lamellate spacing are increased. Along the horizontal direction of the section, the hardness of the material is distributed symmetrically around the center of the HCCDIBs. In the vertical direction, the hardness distribution in the center of the HCCDIBs is asymmetrical due to the gravity during the solidification process. Therefore, the microstructure in the lower part of the section solidifies relatively quickly. The left-edge has the best tensile mechanical properties, and the ultimate tensile strength, yield tensile strength and elongation are 597.3 MPa, 418.5 MPa and 9.6%, respectively. The tensile fracture belongs to the ductile-brittle hybrid fracture. The molecular basis of renal interstitial fibrosis, a major pathological feature of progressive kidney diseases, remains poorly understood. Autophagy has been implicated in renal fibrosis, but whether it promotes or inhibits fibrosis remains controversial. Moreover, it is unclear how autophagy is activated and sustained in renal fibrosis. The present study was designed to address these questions using the in vivo mouse model of unilateral ureteral obstruction and the in vitro model of hypoxia in renal tubular cells. Both models showed the activation of hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) and autophagy along with fibrotic changes. Inhibition of autophagy with chloroquine reduced renal fibrosis in unilateral ureteral obstruction model, whereas chloroquine and autophagy-related gene 7 knockdown decreased fibrotic changes in cultured renal proximal tubular cells, supporting a profi- brotic role of autophagy. Notably, pharmacological and genetic inhibition of HIF-1 led to the suppression of autophagy and renal fibrosis in these models. Mechanistically, knock down of BCL2 and adenovirus E1B 19-kDa-interacting protein 3 (BNIP3), a downstream target gene of HIF, decreased autophagy and fibrotic changes during hypoxia in BUMPT cells. This study aimed to compare the effects of 8 weeks (24 sessions) between flywheel complex training with eccentric overload and traditional complex training of well-trained volleyball players on muscle adaptation, including hypertrophy, strength, and power variables. Fourteen athletes were recruited and randomly divided into the flywheel complex training with an eccentric-overload group (FCTEO, n D 7) and the control group (the traditional complex training group, TCT, nD7). Participants performed half-squats using a flywheel device or Smith machine and drop jumps, with three sets of eight repetitions and three sets of 12 repetitions, respectively. The variables assessed included the muscle thickness at the proximal, mid, and distal sections of the quadriceps femoris, maximal half-squats strength (1RM-SS), squat jump (SJ), countermovement jump (CMJ), and three-step approach jump (AJ). In addition, a two-way repeated ANOVA analysis was used to find differences between the two groups and between the two testing times (pre-test vs. post-test). The indicators of the FCTEO group showed a significantly better improvement (p<0:05) inCMJ(height: ESD0.648, peak power: ES D 0.750), AJ (height: ES D 0.537, peak power: ES D 0.441), 1RM-SS (ES D 0.671) compared to the TCT group and the muscle thicknes at the mid of the quadriceps femoris (ES D 0.504) after FCTEO training. Since volleyball requires lower limb strength and explosive effort during repeated jumps and spiking, these results suggest that FCTEO affects muscular adaptation in a way that improves performance in well-trained female volleyball players. In this paper, on the basis of laboratory triaxial mechanical experiments, a granite model including different numbers and angles of fractures was established by the discrete element method. Combined with the laboratory triaxial mechanical experiments and PCF simulation results, the effects of the number and angle of fractures on the rock mechanical properties of fractured granite reservoirs were analyzed. The results show that the existence of fractures significantly reduces the strength of the reservoir, but the increase of the fracture angle and the confining pressure will weaken the degree of this reduction, and the fractures are easy to expand and connect during the loading process. Semi-supervised node classification is a crucial challenge in relational data mining and has attracted increasing interest in research on graph neural networks (GNNs). However, previous approaches merely utilize labeled nodes to supervise the overall optimization, but fail to sufficiently explore the information of their underlying label distribution. Even worse, they often overlook the robustness of models, which may cause instability of network outputs to random perturbations. To address the aforementioned shortcomings, we develop a novel framework termed Hybrid Curriculum Pseudo-Labeling (HCPL) for efficient semi-supervised node classification. Technically, HCPL iteratively annotates unlabeled nodes by training a GNN model on the labeled samples and any previously pseudo-labeled samples, and repeatedly conducts this process. To improve the model robustness, we introduce a hybrid pseudo-labeling strategy that incorporates both prediction confidence and uncertainty under random perturbations, therefore mitigating the influence of erroneous pseudo-labels. Finally, we leverage the idea of curriculum learning to start from annotating easy samples, and gradually explore hard samples as the iteration grows. Background: Insomnia in healthcare workers has become a topic of concern in the health system. The high infectivity and longevity of the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in great pressure and a high incidence of insomnia among healthcare workers. Insomnia among healthcare workers has a negative impact on high-quality healthcare services in addition to their health. Thus, it's necessary to explore insomnia's underlying mechanisms. Object: The present research's aims were threefold: explored the association between social support, resilience, COVID-19 anxiety, and insomnia among healthcare workers during the pandemic, elucidated the underlying mechanism of insomnia, and offered recommendations for improving the health of these workers. Materials and methods: A cross-sectional design was adopted. From May 20 to 30, 2022, 1038 healthcare workers were selected to fill out the Oslo 3-item Social Support Scale, the eight-item Athens Insomnia Scale, the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale, and the Brief Resilience Scale. Descriptive statistics and correlations were analyzed by SPSS 25.0. Mediation analysis was conducted by Mplus 8.3 using 5000 bootstrap samples. Results: Of the participating 1038 healthcare workers, the prevalence of insomnia was 41.62% (432/1038). Significant associations were found involving insomnia, resilience, COVID-19 anxiety, and social support. Insomnia was directly affected by social support. Moreover, three indirect pathways explain how social support affected insomnia: resilience's mediating role, COVID-19 anxiety's mediating role, and the chain-mediation role of resilience and COVID-19 anxiety. Conclusion: The results validated our hypotheses and supported the opinion of Spielman et al. 's three-factor model of insomnia. Social support of healthcare workers has an indirect impact on insomnia in addition to its direct one via independent and chain-mediation effects of resilience and COVID-19 anxiety.
