Abstract

The pH value effect on the structures of the Wells-Dawson polyoxometalates (POM)-based coordination polymers is examined. The structural differences have disclosed that the pH value of the reaction system is the main factor affecting the structure and topology of these compounds, which is described by the acid-base chemistry of the molecular building units and silver chemistry.

Abstract

The synthesis of a novel ferromagnetically coupled dimer of [Cu.sup.II]-substituted [gamma]-decatungstosilicate is discussed. Findings reveal the possibility of replacing W atoms with the first-row transition-metal atoms in an already lacunary polyoxometalate (POM).
