Abstract: An investigation was conducted to know the effects of chilling and hypoxia treatments on skin color of Japanese common squid Todarodes pacifus and spear squid Loligo bleekeri. The aim of the investigation was to prevent highly fresh squids from abnormal fading skin color with inappropriate commercial value losses.
