There are many global challenges ahead, however, within the discussions on public policy and legislation, little is addressed about migration as a result of the impacts of climate change. The study of the relationship between migration and climate change is intricate in comparison to the analyses that emphasize other causes of human mobility, but the projected global scenario calls for more attention to this factor. This global panorama requires action by national Governments, as well as rethinking the political rationality with which migration is currently regulated and managed. Therefore, this work aims to carry out a theoretical analysis of the main political positions on the migratory phenomenon that countries have assumed and to discuss to what extent they are relevant to the future demands on climate change. The methodology used is analytical and is based on breaking down the main migration policies in all their parts and types and contrasting them with the laws and actions implemented by countries and international communities. All this to establish that the main political rationales with which the migration issue is regulated and managed are insufficient to address the consequences of a global and inevitable phenomenon such as climate change.

- Abstract

- Abstract
Learning to program is hard for many students. As a result, CS1 courses have a significant percentage of repeaters. For this reason, the goal of this article is to analyze what factors affect repeaters so that a specific learning strategy for them can be performed. In this regard, a first analysis of a CS1 course shows there are two types of repeaters: (1) those who do (almost) nothing throughout the semester and drop out, and (2) those who work during the whole semester, but finally fail. According to repeaters’ perceptions, they were motivated to learn to program, but it was difficult for them to keep up because of it was so hard to reconcile it with their personal context, so based on what they did the previous semester, they would prefer to continue from where they left off or change the pace of activities

Epidemiology; HIV/HCV coinfection; Spain Epidemiologia; Coinfecció pel VIH/VHC; Espanya Epidemiologia; Coinfección por el VIH/VHC; España Objectives We assessed the prevalence of anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibodies and active HCV infection (HCV-RNA-positive) in people living with HIV (PLWH) in Spain in 2019 and compared the results with those of four similar studies performed during 2015–2018. Methods The study was performed in 41 centres. Sample size was estimated for an accuracy of 1%. Patients were selected by random sampling with proportional allocation. Results The reference population comprised 41 973 PLWH, and the sample size was 1325. HCV serostatus was known in 1316 PLWH (99.3%), of whom 376 (28.6%) were HCV antibody (Ab)-positive (78.7% were prior injection drug users); 29 were HCV-RNA-positive (2.2%). Of the 29 HCV-RNA-positive PLWH, infection was chronic in 24, it was acute/recent in one, and it was of unknown duration in four. Cirrhosis was present in 71 (5.4%) PLWH overall, three (10.3%) HCV-RNA-positive patients and 68 (23.4%) of those who cleared HCV after anti-HCV therapy (p = 0.04). The prevalence of anti-HCV antibodies decreased steadily from 37.7% in 2015 to 28.6% in 2019 (p < 0.001); the prevalence of active HCV infection decreased from 22.1% in 2015 to 2.2% in 2019 (p < 0.001). Uptake of anti-HCV treatment increased from 53.9% in 2015 to 95.0% in 2019 (p < 0.001). Conclusions In Spain, the prevalence of active HCV infection among PLWH at the end of 2019 was 2.2%, i.e. 90.0% lower than in 2015. Increased exposure to DAAs was probably the main reason for this sharp reduction. Despite the high coverage of treatment with direct-acting antiviral agents, HCV-related cirrhosis remains significant in this population. This work was supported in part by the Spanish AIDS Research Network (RD16/0025/0017, RD16/0025/0018), which is included in the Spanish I+D+I Plan and is co-funded by the ISCIII-Subdirección General de Evaluación and European Funding for Regional Development (FEDER). - Abstract
The Shanghai ranking (ARWU) has achieved such prestige that a good position on this list is associated with quality and reputation. The objective of this research is to analyze if the universities classified in ARWU show the best academic performance. Performance, Graduation and Dropout rates of Spanish universities students have been selected. A multivariate analysis was carried out using HJ-Biplot method, studying the behaviour with respect to these rates the universities that appear in the ranking. The results show that taking the top positions in the Shanghai Ranking does not guarantee the best results in Performance and Graduation rates. University quality must therefore be approached from a multidimensional perspective, depending on the strategy that each institution defines to respond to the different missions.

Background: We monitored the quality of care for newly diagnosed people with HIV (PWH) in Spain, including linkage to care within 1 month of HIV diagnosis (LC-1Mo) and viral suppression within 3 months of HIV diagnosis (VS-3Mo). Methods: Longitudinal study based on The Cohort of the Spanish AIDS Research Network (CoRIS). We used logistic regression stratified by year of HIV diagnosis (2004-2013 and 2014-2019) to assess differences by sex, country of origin, HIV risk group, age, prior AIDS, HIV Viral Load, and CD4 cell count. Results: The final analysis included 13,632 PWH: males 85%, men having sex with men (MSM) 61%, median age 35 years. LC-1Mo increased from 42% (95% CI, 38%-46%) in 2004 to 80% (95% CI, 77%-83%) in 2019 (P < 0.001). Median CD4+ cell counts at ART initiation increased from 350/mm3 since 2012 (P < 0.001). The percentage of initial regimens based on integrase strand transfer inhibitors (INSTI) increased from 3% in 2004 to >70% from 2016 onwards (P < 0.001). VS-3Mo increased from 6% (95% CI, 4%-8%) in 2004 to 45% (95% CI, 41%-49%) in 2019 (P < 0.001). Worst results for LC-1Mo were found among PWH acquiring HIV by injection drug use and those born in Latin American Countries across all the study period. Conclusion: Care indicators have improved among newly diagnosed PWH in Spain over the last 15 years. Removal of CD4 cell counts limitations, and probably the increasing use of INSTI-based regimens was decisive for the progress made.

- Abstract

- Abstract

We are in a society in which there are numerous vulnerable groups that must be cared for those who are “Not in Education, Employment, or Training” better known as “NEET”. Specifically, those whose age range is between 25 and 29 years old, are in a stage in which they see how many young people of their age have certain studies or are doing a job and, on the contrary, they do not, which affects their mood and self-esteem. For this reason, a socio-educational intervention to acquire digital skills is essential due to the importance they have today in many areas. For all this, the intervention proposed in this TFG is through the use of 3D printers to visualize what they create so that they are motivated to carry out an educational and work orientation with a social educator., Grado en Educación Social

- Abstract
Trabajo presentado en el VIII International Congress on Research and Innovation in Neurodegenerative Diseases (CIIIEN), celebrado en Madrid (España) del 21 al 22 de septiembre de 2021., Huntington’s Disease (HD) is an inherited neurodegenerative disorder characterized by motor, cognitive and psychiatric symptoms. The cause is a cytosine-adenine-guanine (CAG) repeat expansion within the coding region of the huntingtin (Htt) gene that generates aberrant proteins containing extended polyglutamine (polyQ) stretches affecting particularly the striatum and cerebral cortex. One of the underlying mechanisms proposed in HD neurotoxicity has been an initial overactivity of glutamate neurotransmission triggering excitotoxicity. In our lab, we have demonstrated that Protein Kinase D1 (PKD1) activity is neuroprotective, as it decreases excitotoxic neuronal death, reactive oxygen species accumulation and oxidative stress damage (Pose-Utrilla J. & Garc a-Guerra L. et al. Nat Comm 2017). Therefore, we wondered whether PKD1 activity could be disrupted in HD, compromising a hypothetical neuroprotective effect on inhibitory striatal medium spiny neurons (MSNs). Herein, we have examined brain necropsies from HD patients and cerebral samples from R6/1 HD mouse model and found a highly significant specific downregulation of PKD protein in striatal and cortical neurons. This decrease in PKD levels is probably due to transcriptional mechanisms. Importantly, pharmacological inhibition of PKD in cultured mouse striatal MSNs, enhances their vulnersability to excitotoxic insults. In addition, have also demonstrated that primary striatal MSNs transduced with lentivirus for the expression of a constitutively active PKD1 mutant (PKD1ca) are protected against excitotoxicity. Furthermore, PKD1ca is also able to hamper cell death caused by polyQ nuclear aggregates in a mouse neuroblastoma cell model of HD. Altogether, these results point to a possible novel contribution of this kinase to HD pathogenesis and open future therapeutic opportunities for this pathology.

ObjectivesThe impact of inflammatory rheumatic diseases on COVID-19 severity is poorly known. Here, we compare the outcomes of a cohort of patients with rheumatic diseases with a matched control cohort to identify potential risk factors for severe illness.MethodsIn this comparative cohort study, we identified hospital PCR+COVID-19 rheumatic patients with chronic inflammatory arthritis (IA) or connective tissue diseases (CTDs). Non-rheumatic controls were randomly sampled 1:1 and matched by age, sex and PCR date. The main outcome was severe COVID-19, defined as death, invasive ventilation, intensive care unit admission or serious complications. We assessed the association between the outcome and the potential prognostic variables, adjusted by COVID-19 treatment, using logistic regression.ResultsThe cohorts were composed of 456 rheumatic and non-rheumatic patients, in equal numbers. Mean age was 63 (IQR 53–78) years and male sex 41% in both cohorts. Rheumatic diseases were IA (60%) and CTD (40%). Most patients (74%) had been hospitalised, and the risk of severe COVID-19 was 31.6% in the rheumatic and 28.1% in the non-rheumatic cohort. Ageing, male sex and previous comorbidity (obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular or lung disease) increased the risk in the rheumatic cohort by bivariate analysis. In logistic regression analysis, independent factors associated with severe COVID-19 were increased age (OR 4.83; 95% CI 2.78 to 8.36), male sex (1.93; CI 1.21 to 3.07) and having a CTD (OR 1.82; CI 1.00 to 3.30).ConclusionIn hospitalised patients with chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases, having a CTD but not IA nor previous immunosuppressive therapies was associated with severe COVID-19.

Tesis

Different international trends promulgate the importance of the social factor in the enhancement of historical centres. This enhancement is not achieved by incorporating only urban projects but also social and economic performances. Analysis of the influences between continent (historical centre) and content (residents) should be a priority point to avoid that our historic centres suffer processes of gentrification that block social diversity. The methodology proposed in this work is based on parameters that identify the existing social profile and the profitability of the land. The results obtained corroborate the premises developed in the theoretical framework: demonstrate the influence of policy interventions in historic centres on these environments sociodemographic profile. © 2020 Universidad de Alicante. Supplemental Digital Content is available in the text, To assess inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients’ experience of chronic illness care and the relationship with demographic and healthcare-related characteristics. This cross-sectional survey used the Instrument to Evaluate the EXperience of PAtients with Chronic diseases (IEXPAC) questionnaire to identify parameters associated with a better healthcare experience for IBD patients. IEXPAC questionnaire responses are grouped into 3 factors - productive interactions, new relational model, and patient self-management, scoring from 0 (worst) to 10 (best experience). Scores were analyzed by bivariate comparisons and multiple linear regression models. Surveys were returned by 341 of 575 patients (59.3%, mean age 46.8 (12.9) years, 48.2% women). Mean (SD) IEXPAC score was 5.9 (2.0); scores were higher for the productive interactions (7.7) and patient self-management factors (6.7) and much lower for the new relational model factor (2.2). Follow-up by a nurse, being seen by the same physician, and being treated with a lower number of medicines were associated with higher (better) overall patient experience score, and higher productive interactions and self-management factor scores. A higher productive interactions score was also associated with patients receiving medication subcutaneously or intravenously. Higher new relational model scores were associated with follow-up by a nurse, affiliation to a patients’ association, receiving help from others for healthcare, a lower number of medicines and a higher educational level. In patients with IBD, a better overall patient experience was associated with follow-up by a nurse, being seen by the same physician, and being treated with a lower number of medicines.

[EN]: Patients with HIV infection have a higher cardiovascular risk than the general population. The identification of patients with high CVR, the implementation of preventive measures and the control of modifiable risk factors, especially in patients on antiretroviral therapy should be part of the management of HIV infection. This document updates the recommendations published in 2014, mainly regarding lipid, glucose, arterial hypertension alterations and cardiovascular risk (CVR). The objective of metabolic monitoring is A1 C ≤7%, similar to that of non-infected population, individualising by age, life expectancy, comorbidities, hypoglycaemia risk and costs. Cardiovascular risk should be calculated in all HIV patients with a risk calculator available for clinical use, even though we recommend the use of REGICOR tables as we are treating the Spanish population. Proper measurement of blood pressure should be a routine practice in the care of patients with HIV infection. The aim of this document is to provide tools for the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of the main metabolic alterations to serve as a reference to professionals who care for people with HIV infection., [ES]: Los pacientes con infección por el VIH presentan un riesgo cardiovascular (RCV) mayor que la población general.

The present investigation is born of self-interest to make visible and allow reflection on the family dynamics of young members of brave bars in the territory of four neighborhoods of the city of Bogota. There are several studies on the young members of the brave bars, however, few wonder about their families and especially about the socio-territorial dynamics that arise when having a family member who participates in a bar -subject of this thesis. It is important to let people know if there are changes or transformations in the dynamics of families and in the experience of a territory. The study started with the understanding that this is a problem that involves families because many sectors have been marked by territorial appropriation, but that also involve violence in many cases by brave bars, and therefore families have seen affected in some way in these events .. Background We assessed the prevalence of antibodies against hepatitis C virus (HCV-Abs) and active HCV infection in patients infected with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in Spain in 2016 and compared the results with those of similar studies performed in 2002, 2009, and 2015. Methods The study was performed in 43 centers during October–November 2016. The sample was estimated for an accuracy of 2% and selected by proportional allocation and simple random sampling. During 2016, criteria for therapy based on direct-acting antiviral agents (DAA) were at least significant liver fibrosis, severe extrahepatic manifestations of HCV, and high risk of HCV transmissibility. Results The reference population and the sample size were 38904 and 1588 patients, respectively. The prevalence of HCV-Abs in 2002, 2009, 2015, and 2016 was 60.8%, 50.2%, 37.7%, and 34.6%, respectively (P trend Conclusions Our findings suggest that with universal access to DAA-based therapy and continued efforts in prevention and screening, it will be possible to eliminate active HCV among HIV-infected individuals in Spain in the short term. However, the burden of HCV-related cirrhosis will continue to be significant among HIV-infected individuals.

Increased incidence of neuronal nuclear indentations is a well-known feature of the striatum of Huntington's disease (HD) brains and, in Alzheimer's disease (AD), neuronal nuclear indentations have recently been reported to correlate with neurotoxicity caused by improper cytoskeletal/nucleoskeletal coupling. Initial detection of rod-shaped tau immunostaining in nuclei of cortical and striatal neurons of HD brains and in hippocampal neurons of early Braak stage AD led us to coin the term “tau nuclear rods (TNRs).” Although TNRs traverse nuclear space, they in fact occupy narrow cytoplasmic extensions that fill indentations of the nuclear envelope and we will here refer to this histological hallmark as Tau-immunopositive nuclear indentations (TNIs). We reasoned that TNI formation is likely secondary to tau alterations as TNI detection in HD correlates with an increase in total tau, particularly of the isoforms with four tubulin binding repeats (4R-tau). Here we analyze transgenic mice that overexpress human 4R-tau with a frontotemporal lobar degeneration-tau point mutation (P301S mice) to explore whether tau alteration is sufficient for TNI formation. Immunohistochemistry with various tau antibodies, immunoelectron microscopy and double tau-immunofluorescence/DAPI-nuclear counterstaining confirmed that excess 4R-tau in P301S mice is sufficient for the detection of abundant TNIs that fill nuclear indentations. Interestingly, this does not correlate with an increase in the number of nuclear indentations, thus suggesting that excess total tau or an isoform imbalance in favor of 4R-tau facilitates tau detection inside preexisting nuclear indentations but does not induce formation of the latter. In summary, here we demonstrate that tau alteration is sufficient for TNI detection and our results suggest that the neuropathological finding of TNIs becomes a possible indicator of increased total tau and/or increased 4R/3R-tau ratio in the affected neurons apart from being an efficient way to monitor pathology-associated nuclear indentations., Centro de Investigación Biomédica en Red de Enfermedades Neurodegenerativas (CiberNed-Instituto de salud Carlos III) collaborative grant PI2013/09-2, CoEN grant (NEURO-MIR) and by grants from Spanish Ministery of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO, SAF2012-34177 and SAF2015-65371-R), Fundación BBVA and Fundación Ramón Areces.

We assessed non-liver-related non–acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS)-related (NLR-NAR) events and mortality in a cohort of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)/hepatitis C virus (HCV)–coinfected patients treated with interferon (IFN) and ribavirin (RBV), between 2000 and 2008. The censoring date was May 31, 2014. Cox regression analysis was performed to assess the adjusted hazard rate (HR) of overall death in responders and nonresponders. Fine and Gray regression analysis was conducted to determine the adjusted subhazard rate (sHR) of NLR deaths and NLR-NAR events considering death as the competing risk. The NLR-NAR events analyzed included diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, cardiovascular events, NLR-NAR cancer, bone events, and non-AIDS-related infections. The variables for adjustment were age, sex, past AIDS, HIV transmission category, nadir CD4+ T-cell count, antiretroviral therapy, HIV RNA, liver fibrosis, HCV genotype, and exposure to specific anti-HIV drugs. Of the 1,625 patients included, 592 (36%) had a sustained viral response (SVR). After a median 5-year follow-up, SVR was found to be associated with a significant decrease in the hazard of diabetes mellitus (sHR, 0.57; 95% confidence interval [CI], 0.35-0.93; P = 0.024) and decline in the hazard of chronic renal failure close to the threshold of significance (sHR, 0.43; 95% CI, 0.17-1.09; P = 0.075). Conclusion: Our data suggest that eradication of HCV in coinfected patients is associated not only with a reduction in the frequency of death, HIV progression, and liver-related events, but also with a reduced hazard of diabetes mellitus and possibly of chronic renal failure. These findings argue for the prescription of HCV therapy in coinfected patients regardless of fibrosis stage. (Hepatology 2017;66:344–356).

While in the university system prior to Bologna prevailed the reproduction of information, university students are now required to acquire skills. In this way, the student is placed at the centre of the teaching-learning process, focusing yours studies on the competences that he must acquire, empowering the initiative and autonomous learning. This change of educational paradigm is related with a methodological change that reinforces the student's active role and your critical thinking. To acquire the skills the learner must use his predominant learning styles, which have a predisposing character to learn in a certain way. Knowing the learning styles used by students in the teaching / learning process thus seems essential. In this process of autonomous learning, it is important for students to be able to become aware of their own mental processes in dealing with problems, to properly analyse, plan, monitor and evaluate their own performance. Emotional intelligence is of great interest in this area. This study was designed to evaluate the learning styles and emotional intelligence of the students of the six higher education schools of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB). It is also intended to highlight the role of multivariate factorial methods in data analysis, with particular emphasis on Biplot methods, for their easy graphical interpretation and for having never been used in this context. To collect the information, were used the TMMS questionnaires (The Trade Meta-Mood Scale TMMS-24, Fernández-Berrocal et al., 2004) and CHAEA (Honey-Alonso Learning Styles Questionnaire, Alonso and Honey, 1995). The analysis of the 1785 questionnaires answered allowed to characterize the learning styles and emotional intelligence of the IPCB students. In all schools, Reflexive style is the most used; This greater use does not present differences by gender; The Active and Pragmatic styles appear more frequently in the School of Technology; The Theoretical style is more used in the School of Health. Regarding Emotional Intelligence, assessed through the Attention, Clarity and Reparation dimensions, there are significant differences in terms of gender and the level of schools attended by the students. The main conclusions we reached with the application of Biplot methods are: For the Attention dimension, most students have adequate levels. Men manifest a tendency to feel and express their feelings better than women. By school, the lowest values in this dimension are reached by the students of the school of Health and the students of the School of Management. Regarding the Clarity dimension, about half of the students have appropriate values. Usually men understand worse than women your emotional states. In the School of Management and in the School of Arts the most frequent is to find students who are classified in the lower category of this dimension. As for the regulation of emotional states, the modal category is adequate, however, there seem to be more women than men who poorly regulate their emotional states. The students that poorly regulate them are women from the School of Arts, from the School of Health and from the School of Management. Who better regulates the emotional states are the students of the School of Technology. The joint representation of the variables of CHAEA and TMMS questionnaires evidences a clear association between the Learning Styles and the Emotional Intelligence. info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersion

Since problems of soil compaction as a limiting factor in crop development have been traditionally studied independently of the moisture factor, an experiment was performed to determine the behavior of Soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill cv San Baiba) with respect to moisture and compaction of an Ultisol soil from a savannah in Monagas state, Venezuela. A randomized block design with factorial arrangement was used where the interaction of four levels of compaction was studied through different number of strokes per layer (0, 12, 24, 36) and four levels of moisture through the variation of the irrigation frequencies (every day, every two days, every three days and every four days). It was evidenced that the fresh leaf and branches masses and leaf area were affected by the frequency of watering with the following regression equations, respectively: Y = 1691.364 905.035 + x - 390.280 x2 with R2 = 98.12%, Y = 16.770 + 23.350 x - 5.250 x2 with R2 = 98.40% and Y = 17.535+ 7.576 x - 2.08 x2 with R2 = 97.61%. In the other hand, the dry mass of branches was affected by the interaction. The variables dry foliar mass, percentage of ash, ether extract, crude fiber, organic matter, dry matter and crude protein showed no significant differences for any of the factors and their interaction.

To compare the prevalence of the main comorbidities in 2 large cohorts of patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with a focus on cardiovascular (CV) diseases. This was a cross-sectional multicenter study where the prevalence of more relevant comorbidities in 2 cohorts was compared. Patients under followup from SJOGRENSER (Spanish Rheumatology Society Registry of Primary SS) and RELESSER (Spanish Rheumatology Society Registry of SLE), and who fulfilled the 2002 American-European Consensus Group and 1997 American College of Rheumatology classification criteria, respectively, were included. A binomial logistic regression analysis was carried out to explore potential differences, making general adjustments for age, sex, and disease duration and specific adjustments for each variable, including CV risk factors and treatments, when appropriate. A total of 437 primary SS patients (95% female) and 2,926 SLE patients (89% female) were included. The mean age was 58.6 years (interquartile range [IQR] 50.0-69.9 years) for primary SS patients and 45.1 years (IQR 36.4-56.3 years) for SLE patients (P Primary SS patients have a consistently less serious CV comorbidity burden and a lower prevalence of severe infection than those with SLE. In contrast, their risk of lymphoma is greater.

Infravaloración de la gravedad de la lesión que no es indicativa de la situación final de la víctima., Permanent disabilities (PD) are the latest consequences that arise from accidents at work (AW); they constitute an indicator to evaluate the working conditions and situations and safety. The need to meet and measure this social and human problem that was researched little, as well as identifying and describing the AWs origin, they constitute a social realistic object of sociological analysis. Objectives 1. Quantify the impact of the PD by AW, in the Region of Murcia and Spain and constructing indicators to measure its evolution. 2. Identify the variables from analysis of the AATT "circles of risk" origin. 3. Describe the socio-demographic characteristics, develop risk profiles based on sex and degree of PD, occupation, activity and form of the AT. 4. Quantify the human and social impact through indicators: potential years lived with disability (PYLD) and potential years of life lost production (PYLLP). Methodology: Descriptive study, quantitative and longitudinal: 1st part: From the statistics of Social Security (SS) pension, those affected are quantified and their impact and evolution is measured through the development of incidence rates per 100,000 members in high labor and IP for 1,000 tax administrations with low rates, during the period 2000-2009 for the Region and Spain. To prepare them, they are regarding these tax administrations with the IIPP during the period of 2002-2011. This difference in two years it has been proven to be relevant, given the interval time between the injury treatment and resolution of the PD. The 2nd part of the study is carried out on a sample of 732 records of PD resolved by the INSS during 2009-2011 and the posterior location of the AATT originating from the base Delt@-Meyss to create a new base (AW+PD) capable of exploitation, using the program IBM SPSS Statistics 21. The analysis of the variables is performed by AATT and the socio-demographics of victims according to degree of PD, fulfilling its objectives. Subject of study: working people in companies in the Region of Murcia affected by a work PD with degree of partial, total, absolute and severe disability. Population groups: membership at the SS with occupational risks covered and AWbase Delt@ Meyss-ISSL. Results: Indicators: Rating of Incident average, annual for the period 2000-2009 Region of Murcia: between 48.3-52.6 (CL: 95%) persons had a PD with degrees total, absolute, severe disability with life-long pension; values higher than the national average. The permanent non-disabling consequences and partial PD have effected between 144-153.3 persons, one-time payment compensation. Downwards trend of the incidents in the two geographic areas reaching approximate values in 2011. Risk profiles of PD: Man (86% pattern): Young and middle-aged, construction worker, farm worker or industrial worker. Woman (14%): middle-aged, farm worker, cleaning and food industry. Way the injury occurred both sexes: physical overstrain, crushing resulting from falls from same level or for the man also from height or entrapment. Personal impact: Total of pattern: 28,025.7 PYLD. Social impact: 15,136.3 years of PYLLP for PD con life-long pension in the event they do not return to work, but they do not lose their pension. Conclusion: The PD affects men more due to the higher risk work. They concentrate in “risk circles” according to sex and for all variables. Lower qualification is a risk factor for both sexes. Undervaluation of the degree of injury that does not indicate the final outcome of the victim.

The odontogenic keratocystic tumor was classified by the World Health Organization as a benign neoplasm in 2005. The tumor has a characteristic locally aggressive behavior, a high recurrence rate, and also a propensity to malignancy. The injury is usually related to an unilocular appearance and is generally found in mandible, and the lesion could be diagnosed in patients with Gorlin syndrome. The aim of this study is to find a global approach in the treatment for the KCOT. Universidad de Sevilla. Grado en Odontología

- Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To compare the prevalence of the main comorbidities in 2 large cohorts of patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), with a focus on cardiovascular (CV) diseases. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional multicenter study where the prevalence of more relevant comorbidities in 2 cohorts was compared. RESULTS: A total of 437 primary SS patients (95% female) and 2,926 SLE patients (89% female) were included. The mean age was 58.6 years (interquartile range [IQR] 50.0-69.9 years) for primary SS patients and 45.1 years (IQR 36.4-56.3 years) for SLE patients (P?0.001), and disease duration was 10.4 years (IQR 6.0-16.7 years) and 13.0 years (IQR 7.45-19.76 years), respectively (P?0.001). Smoking, dyslipidemia, and arterial hypertension were associated less frequently with primary SS (odds ratio [OR] 0.36 [95% confidence interval (95% CI) 0.28-0.48], 0.74 [95% CI 0.58-0.94], and 0.50 [95% CI 0.38-0.66], respectively) as were life-threatening CV events (i.e., stroke or myocardial infarction; OR 0.57 [95% CI 0.35-0.92]). Conversely, lymphoma was associated more frequently with primary SS (OR 4.41 [95% CI 1.35-14.43]). The prevalence of severe infection was lower in primary SS than in SLE (10.1% versus 16.9%; OR 0.54 [95% CI 0.39-0.76]; P?0.001). CONCLUSION: Primary SS patients have a consistently less serious CV comorbidity burden and a lower prevalence of severe infection than those with SLE. In contrast, their risk of lymphoma is greater.
