Renewable energy sources, as well as the studies being conducted regarding these energy sources, are becoming increasingly important for our world. In this manuscript, the daily energy production level of a small (15 MW) run-of-river hydropower plant (RRHPP) was estimated using the artificial neural network (ANN) model. In this context, the model utilized both meteorological data and HPP-related data. The input parameters of the artificial neural network included the daily total precipitation, daily mean temperature, daily mean water vapour pressure, daily mean relative humidity, and the daily mean river water elevation at the hydropower plant, while the only output parameter consisted of the total daily energy production. For the ANN, data from the four years between 2017 and 2020 were used for training purposes, while data from the first eight months of 2021 were used for testing purposes. Ten different ANN networks were tested. A comparison of the ANN data with the real data indicated that the model provided satisfying results. The minimum error rate was 0.13%, the maximum error rate was 9.13%, and the mean error rate was 3.13%. Furthermore, six different algorithms were compared with each other. It was observed that the best results were obtained from the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm.This study demonstrated that the ANN can estimate the daily energy production of a run-of-river HPP with high accuracy and that this model can potentially contribute to studies investigating the potential of renewable energies.

Genetic consultation was given to three children with microcephaly, mental retardation, and spastic diplegia.

This study was carried out in Osmaniye location of Oil Seed Research Institute in 2020-2021 in order to determine some yield and quality characteristics in second crop cultivation of peanuts with different market types in the Eastern Mediterranean transition zone. Eleven different genotypes of Runner (Georgia Green) Virginia (NC 7, Masal, Halisbey, Wilson, Çom, Brantley, Sultan, Düziçi 1) Spanish (Florispan, Nigeria 1) types of peanut were used in the study. In the study, number of pods per plant, 1st quality pod ratio, pod weight per plant, 100 pod and seed weight, shelling percentage, pod yield, oil content and, protein content parameters were investigated. The number of pods per plant is between 20.8 (Nigeria 1) and 51.4 (Düziçi 1); pod weight per plant varied between between 12.3 g (Nigeria-1) and 64.9 g (Halisbey). It was determined that 100 pod weight and 100 seed weights varied between 66.8-289.0 g and 29.6-106.5 g, respectively. Pod yield varied between 1963 kg ha-1 (Nigeria 1) and 4846 kg ha-1 (Düziçi 1). As a result, it was determined that Düziçi 1 genotype, Brantley and Halisbey cultivars came to the fore in terms of the investigated characteristics in the Eastern Mediterranean Passage zone. In the study, while the second crop peanut variety suitable for the Eastern Mediterranean Transition zone was determined, the varieties to be used as breeding material were also determined.

The purpose of this research; In the 2021-2022 academic year, based on the opinions of the principals working in primary, secondary and high schools in the city center of Tokat, it is aimed to reveal whether the principals have the necessary knowledge and skills for inspection, the problems they encounter in inspection, and the positive and negative aspects of inspection. The data used in the research were collected from a total of 18 people, including 6 primary school principals, 6 secondary school principals and 6 high school principals, selected according to the maximum diversity sampling, working in the central primary, secondary and high school in Tokat province. The data collected with the standardized open-ended interview form developed by the researcher were analyzed and interpreted using the content analysis approach, one of the qualitative data analysis approaches. According to the results of the research, most of the participants argued that it is a correct practice to carry out the supervision by the school principals. The participants stated that the supervision by the school principals puts pressure on the teachers and students, and the teacher-principal relations are negatively affected. It has been concluded that the positive aspects of supervision by school principals are that teachers keep themselves up-to-date on the program and content and contribute positively to their professional development. It was emphasized that the negative aspects of supervision by school principals would damage the developed relations between the supervisor and the supervisor. This situation also emphasized the damage to the institutional balance and school culture, and the psychological pressures that the supervision itself will create on teachers.

Turkish hazel (Corylus colurna L.) is naturally distributed in southeast Europe, Anatolia, the Caucasus and Western Himalayas. In Turkey, there are many isolated populations in the Black Sea, Marmara, Aegean, and Central Anatolian Regions. Many of the small populations in Turkey are endangered. In this study, the morphological and chemical characteristics of Turkish hazelnut fruits collected from seven populations were researched. In this regard, considering the morphological characteristics of fruits and kernels, significant differences were observed between the populations. Length, width, thickness, and weight averages were 15.98 mm, 15.38 mm, 12.00 mm and 1.4651 g in the fruits, and 13.03 mm, 11.22 mm, 7.64 mm and 0.5047 g in the kernels, respectively. The average shell thickness was 1.92 mm, shell weight was 0.9604 g, and kernel ratio was 35.16%. Statistically significant differences were found out between the populations whose chemical contents were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, the average fat content, protein, starch, and ash were 64.1%, 15.9%, 10.2 g, and 2.5%, respectively. According to the averages in the obtained fatty acids, the main fatty acids were oleic acid (79.53%), linoleic acid (11.34%), palmitic acid (5.68%), and stearic acid (2.03%), while the rest of other oils were found in trace amounts. Overall, our results suggest that the information relating to morphological and chemical characteristics of Turkish hazelnut can be useful for discriminating among populations.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the potential association between the presence of a fragmented QRS (fQRS) pattern on electrocardiogram (ECG) and prognostic outcomes in patients with heart failure (HF). Methods: In the study, 238 patients with a left ventricular ejection fraction of less than 35% were included. The presence of fQRS pattern on ECG was analyzed in all patients. Patients were divided into two groups based on the presence or absence of fQRS on ECG. The primary clinical end points were all-cause mortality and rehospitalization. Results: Baseline demographic characteristics were comparable between the groups. Patients with fQRS had a higher frequency of coronary artery disease and atrial fibrillation (72 (76%) vs 90 (62%), (p = 0.023; 27 (29%) vs 25 (17%), (p = 0.038, respectively). Additionally, patients with fQRS had a higher rate of mortality and rehospitalization during the 5-year follow-up period compared to patients without fQRS. (30 (32%) / 28 (19%), (p = 0.028; 56 (60%) / 50 (35%), p < 0.001, respectively). Multivariable logistic regression analysis revealed that the presence of fQRS was independently associated with mortality and rehospitalization ((p = 0.02 and p < 0.001, respectively). Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that the presence of fQRS on ECG in patients with HF is independently related to a higher risk of mortality and hospitalization. Therefore, the presence of fQRS may be a useful indicator of poor prognosis in these patients.

Amaç: Doğu Akdeniz geçit kuşağında Yağlı Tohumlar Araştırma Enstitüsü deneme lokasyonunda 2020-2021 üretim sezonunda yürütülen bu araştırmada, Osmaniye’nin ilçelerinden temin edilen susam genotipleri ve Türkiye’de üretimi yapılan çeşitlerin verim ve verim unsurlarını belirlemek amacıyla ikinci ürün koşullarında yürütülmüştür. Materyal ve Yöntem: Denemede bitki materyali olarak 12 farklı susam genotipi (Arslanbey, Baydar 2001, Boydak, Cumhuriyet 99, Düziçi-1, Kadirli-1, Hatipoğlu, Muganlı 57, Osmaniye-1, Osmanlı 99, Sarısu ve Toprakkale-1) kullanılmıştır. Deneme tesadüf blokları deneme deseninde 3 tekerrürlü olarak düzenlenmiştir. Araştırma Bulguları: Araştırmada; kapsül sayısı 64.15 adet/bitki (Düziçi-1) ile 134.73 adet/bitki (Osmaniye-1) arasında değiştiği saptanmıştır. 1000 tohum ağırlığı en düşük 3.17 g ile Düziçi-1 hattı bulunurken, en yüksek ise 4.70 g ile Osmaniye-1 hattı bulunmuştur. Protein oranı %16.76 (Düziçi-1) ile %22.25 (Osmanlı-99) arasında değişirken; yağ oranı %43.31 (Muganlı 57) ile %50.31 (Osmaniye-1) arasında bulunmuştur. Dekara tohum verim bakımından 107.81 kg/da (Düziçi-1) ile 156.31 kg/da (Osmaniye-1) arasında bulunmuştur. Sonuç: İkinci ürün koşullarında Osmaniye-1, Toprakkale-1 ve Boydak genotipleri Doğu Akdeniz geçit kuşağında ümit var olarak tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte Osmaniye-1 ve Toprakkale-1 genotiplerinin ıslah materyali olarak geliştirilebileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Günümüz temel problemlerinden biri olan küresel ısınma beraberinde iklim değişikliğini de getirmektedir. Atmosfer ve dünya arasındaki enerji değişimini etkilediği için Yer Yüzeyi Sıcaklığı (YYS) iklimin en önemli parametrelerinden birisidir. Bu nedenle büyük ve küçük ölçekli çalışmalar yapılırken YYS, göz önünde bulundurulması gerekmektedir. Uzaktan algılama verilerinin işlenmesi, analiz edilmesi ve değerlendirilmesi için birçok sistem geliştirilmiştir. Bunlardan birisi web tabanlı sistem olan Google Earth Engine (GEE)’dir. GEE arayüzü, farklı çözünürlüklere sahip uydu verilerinin hızlı bir biçimde değerlendirilmesini ve analiz edilmesini sağlar. Bu çalışmada 7 farklı istasyona ait toplamda 14 Landsat-8 uydu görüntüsü kullanılarak GEE platformunda kodlar yardımıyla 4 farklı metot ile yüzey sıcaklıkları elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sıcaklıklar istasyondan ölçülen yakın hava sıcaklığı ile karşılaştırılarak tüm metotlar için Karesel Ortalama Hata (KOH) ve korelasyon değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Son dönemde çalışma konusu olarak artış gösteren YYS, GEE gibi kullanımı oldukça basit bir platformda ayrıca uydu görüntüsü indirmeye gerek kalmadan hızlı, kolay ve kısa bir sürede elde edilebileceği ortaya konulmuştur.

In this study, four stages were used to create brand-new p-tert-butyl-calix [4] arene Schiff base derivatives. First, p-tert-butyl-phenol and formaldehyde are reacted to create p-tert-butyl-calix [4] arene (1). In the following step, methyl bromoacetate and p-ter-butyl-calix [4] arene (1) were combined with acetone and reflux to create the p-tert-butyl-calix [4] arene diester complex (2). The third step involves reacting the diester compound (2) and hydrazine hydrate to create the p-tert-butyl-calix [4] arene hydrazinamide molecule (3). In the final stage, calix [4] arene Schiff base derivatives (4a-d) were produced in good yields by combining compound (3), p-tert-butyl-calix [4] arene hydrazinamide, and various aldehyde derivatives with reflux in EtOH. Through the use of 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, infrared spectroscopy, and elemental analysis, the structures of produced compounds were verified. Four distinct cancer lines are linked to the antitumor activity of synthetic chemicals. (HT-29, a human colon cancer cell line, PC-3, a human prostate cancer cell line, C6, a rat glioma cell line and MCF-7, a human breast cancer cell line). Weak antitumor activity was seen in synthetic substances. However, only compound 4b was found to have potential efficacy against C6 and HT-29. It is clear that compound 4b, which has a nitro substitute on the phenyl ring, draws attention due to its increased activity.

Bu çalışmada sağlık turizmi alanında yetkilendirilmiş tesislerin web sitelerini etkin kullanım düzeylerini ortaya koymak, tesisin türüne ve faaliyet gösterdikleri bölgeye göre kullanma düzeylerinde farklılık olup olmadığını belirlemek, hizmet basamakları açısından karşılaştırmak ve bu çerçevede mevcut durumu ortaya koyarak ilgili bilgi birikimine katkılar sunmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında değerlendirilen ve Sağlık Bakanlığından ilgili yetki belgesini almış 169 sağlık tesisinin web sitelerindeki bilgiler içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Yapılan değerlendirmede literatürden elde edilen 23 kriter ve bu kriterlerden oluşan iletişim, kolaylaştırma, kurumsal bilgi, konaklama, personel bilgisi ve sağlık hizmeti bilgisi olmak üzere beş grup kullanılmıştır. Yapılan incelemeler sonucunda, sağlık tesislerinin web sitelerinde en çok site içi arama özelliği, vizyon ve misyon ile kurumsal bilgi içerikleri kriterlerine yer verildiği; üçüncü basamak sağlık tesislerinin web sitelerinde belirtilen kriterlerin daha çok yer aldığı, gruplar açısından ise tesislerin tamamına yakınının web sitelerinde en çok kurumsal bilgi grubuna yer verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Site içi arama, bir yabancı dil seçeneği ve sosyal ağ iletişim bağlantıları kriterlerinin bölgelere göre ve sağlık tesisinin türü açısından farklılık göstermesi de ön plana çıkan diğer sonuçlardır. Çalışmada ortaya konulan sonuçlara göre uygulayıcılara ve gelecek araştırmalara önerilerde bulunulmuştur., In this study, it is aimed to reveal the level of effective use of the websites of the facilities authorized in the field of health tourism, to determine whether there is a difference in usage levels according to the type of the facility and the region in which it operates, to compare them in terms of service delivery, and to contribute to the relevant knowledge by revealing the current situation in this framework. The information on the websites of 169 health facilities that were evaluated within the scope of the research and received the relevant authorization certificate from the Ministry of Health was examined by content analysis method. In the evaluation, 23 criteria obtained from the literature and five groups consisting of these criteria, namely communication, facilitation, institutional information, personnel information, accommodation, and health service information were used. As a result of analyzes, it was found that the websites of health facilities mostly included the criteria of in-site search feature, vision and mission, and institutional information content. It has been concluded that the websites of tertiary health facilities mostly included the mentioned criteria, and in terms of groups, almost all the facilities mostly included the corporate information group in their websites. Other prominent results are that the criteria of in-site search feature, a foreign language option and social networking links differed by the region and the type of health facility. According to the results of the study, recommendations were made for practitioners and future research.

Extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ECPR) is the rapid deployment of venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) during active cardiopulmonary resuscitation or in patients with intermittent return of spontaneous circulation. This study aimed to describe the demographic characteristics and outcomes of patients undergoing ECPR to identify survival-associated factors.The study was conducted in an extracorporeal life support centre of a tertiary hospital in Turkey and included all patients who underwent ECPR for in-hospital cardiac arrest between April 2013 and June 2021. Complications included bleeding, neurological injury, renal failure, hepatic failure, limb ischemia and bloodstream infections. The primary outcomes were survival of ECMO and survival to discharge. Neurological outcomes were assessed using the Pediatric Cerebral Performance Category Scale for children and the Category of Cerebral Performance Scale for adults.The study included 26 patients (24 paediatric, 2 adults), 22 (85%) of them had cardiac pathology. Bleeding was the most common complication. Twelve (46%) patients survived ECMO, 9 (35%) survived to discharge. Sex, age, primary diagnosis, cardiac arrest rhythm and ECMO duration were not significantly associated with the primary outcomes. Bleeding, neurological injury and renal failure were associated with poorer survival to discharge. The neurological outcomes of all survivors to discharge were good.ECPR is not commonly accessible. Sharing the experience of the few treating centres to date is crucial to accumulating sufficient knowledge about its efficiency and raising clinician awareness. This limited single-centre experience demonstrated the utility of ECPR.

Pneumopericardium is the presence of air in the pericardial sac. Pneumopericardium after pericardiocentesis has been rarely reported in the literature. In the present case, we report a patient who presented with tamponade physiology during COVID-19 and developed pneumopericardium after emergency pericardiocentesis. Immediate recognition and treatment are crucial and chest X-ray, thorax computerized tomography and transthoracic echocardiography are used for diagnosis.

Objective: We aimed to discuss our unit’s experience performing left ventriculotomies on children. Methods: Between 2000 and 2022, we identified paediatric patients who required left ventriculotomy. Relevant information was gathered retrospectively. Results: There were eight patients who underwent surgical procedure including left ventriculotomy. The range of weight and age was between 4.5 and 50 kg and 5 months to 17 years, respectively. Left ventriculotomy was primarily performed for the excision of cardiac masses in all but one who had pseudoaneurysm repair. There were no deaths that occurred early or late. Pre-operative and post-operative ejection fractions and fractional shortening values were comparable. There was no arrhythmia detected post-operatively. Conclusions: We conclude that an apical left ventriculotomy does not compromise the function of the left ventricle, even in young infants. In selected patients, it may be used safely for surgical access to the left ventricle.

Okun's Law asserts an inverse relationship between unemployment and economic growth in the economy. The study examines the relationship between the growth rate and unemployment rate for Turkey's agricultural sector from 2014Q1 - 2021Q3. The stationarity test is carried out with the Generalized Dickey-Fuller Unit Root Test. Then, the relationship between growth and unemployment rates in the agricultural sector is analysed with the ARDL bounds test. According to the study results, the growth rate of the agricultural sector and the unemployment rate in the agricultural sector are cointegrated in the long run, and the relationship between them is statistically significant and positive. The result reached in the study; Okun's Law is valid in the agricultural sector of the Turkish economy.

Objective: This study aims to reveal the effects of cyanoacrylate application at the recipient bed and the donor site in free gingival graft surgery on graft dimensions, clinical healing parameters and patient-based outcomes. Methods: Free gingival graft operations were conducted on individuals who were randomly assigned to control or test groups. In the test group, the graft was stabilized and the donor site was coated with cyanoacrylate. In the control group, 6/0 polyvinylidene fluoride sutures were used for stabilization, while the donor site was left untreated. Variables including re-epithelization, post-operative complications, pain, bleeding and quality of life at recipient site, and color match, graft dimensions at donor site were assessed for up to 6 months. Results: Twenty-three individuals completed the study. No differences were observed in any variable between groups except horizontal dimension loss of the graft, which was more abundant in the cyanoacrylate group at six months (p>0.05, p

Hayatımızın her alanına giren elektronik ve bilgisayar teknolojilerinden diğer tüm sektörlerde olduğu gibi inşaat sektöründe de İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği (İSG) ’nin sağlanmasına yönelik yararlanma çabaları, son yıllarda başta gelişmiş ülkelerde olmak üzere tüm dünyada artış göstermektedir. İnşaat sektörü, ülkemizde iş kazası sonucu yaralanma ve ölümlerin en sık yaşandığı sektörlerin başında gelmektedir. Bu açıdan sektörde İSG’nin sağlanması için diğer her türlü imkânın yanında teknolojik yeniliklerin de devreye sokulması önemlidir. Bu noktadan hareketle gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada, çeşitli veri tabanları üzerinden “teknoloji” “inşaat sektörü” ve “iş sağlığı ve güvenliği” anahtar kelimeleri kullanılarak kapsamlı bir tarama yapılmış ve inşaat sektörüne yönelik İSG teknolojileri belirlenmiştir. Belirlenen bu teknolojiler, kullanım alanlarına göre gruplandırılarak literatürdeki uygulamaların yanı sıra, sahada kullanılan ticari uygulamalar da incelenmiştir. Çalışma, inşaat sektöründe İSG’nin sağlanmasına yönelik olarak geniş bir yelpazede birçok teknolojik uygulama bulunduğunu ortaya koymuştur. Çalışmanın bazen çok küçük maliyetlerle ölüm ile hayatta kalma arasındaki farkı yaratan İSG teknolojilerinin Türk inşaat sektörü paydaşlarına tanıtılmasına ve bu sayede bu teknolojilerin kullanımının yaygınlaştırılmasına katkı sağlayacağı değerlendirilmektedir.

Bu araştırmada 30 Ekim 2020 tarihinde Ege Denizi Sisam adasında meydana gelen (Mw:6.9) depremi sonrasında İzmir bölgesi sınırları içerisinde yer alan ve periyodik olarak ölçümleri yapılan 18 adet C1 ve C2 noktasının, bölgede meydana gelen deformasyondan kaynaklı olarak koordinatlarındaki değişim incelenmiştir. Deprem sonrası bölgedeki hız alanlarında 2020-2021 ve 2021-2022 yıllarındaki koordinat değişimlerinden bölgedeki deprem sonrası deformasyon haritaları çıkarılmıştır. Maksimum koordinat farkları depreme yakın olan SFRH, SIGA ve KBR5 noktalarındadır. Bu noktaların hareketlerinin D-KD yönlü olduğu görülmektedir. BSYL noktasının deprem merkezüssüne en uzak nokta olmasına rağmen yaklaşık 38 mm KD yönlü bir hareket görülmektedir.

Native valve aortic endocarditis is rarely seen in the paediatric population. Although, the first-line of treatment is medical, surgical intervention may be indicated in patients with unrepairable valvular and subvalvular disease. Recently, the aortic valve neocuspidization (AVNeo) procedure has gained popularity both in adult and children in whom other repair techniques are not feasible. In this case report, we present an urgent aortic valve replacement using the AVNeo technique in a critically ill infant with a small annulus, severe left ventricular outflow tract stenosis, and severe aortic regurgitation.

Purpose This paper aims to address the influence of lubrication methods on operational characteristics, power losses and temperature behavior of gears and bearings. It contributes to the improvement of resource and energy efficiency of geared transmissions. Design/methodology/approach Experimental investigations were performed at a gear and bearing power loss test rig. Thereby, dip lubrication, injection lubrication with injection volumes from 0.05 to 2.00 l/min and minimum quantity (MQ) lubrication with an injection volume as little as 28 ml/h were considered. Measurements were evaluated in terms of no-load and load-dependent power loss, bulk temperatures and mean gear coefficients of friction. Findings Results show strongly reduced no-load gear and bearing losses for lubrication methods with low lubricant quantities. Load-dependent losses are similar to conventional lubrication methods and tend to be lower at high speed. This is related to higher bulk temperatures, as the heat dissipation of lubrication methods with low oil quantities is limited. Limited thermal load limits were shown to be extended by LowLoss gears. Originality/value Systematic investigations were conducted to evaluate the influence of dip, injection and MQ lubrication on power loss and temperature behavior of gears and bearings. The results of this study support further research on needs-based lubrication methods for gearboxes.

Tarihi haritalar; geçmişin izlerini günümüze yansıtan eşsiz eserlerdir. Bu haritalar hem üretildikleri dönemin coğrafi özelliklerini barındırırlar hem de sanatsal bir yöne sahiptirler. Bu sanat, geçmişin ayrıntılarını günümüz dünyasına taşıma sanatıdır. Tarihi haritaların öneminin fark edilmesi ile birlikte bu haritalar üzerinde yapılan çalışmalar zaman içerisinde çoğalmış, teknolojinin gelişmesi ile birlikte tarihi haritaların analizleri ve değerlendirilmeleri daha kolay hale gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada; Harita Genel Müdürlüğü (HGM) tarafından üretilen ve ücretsiz bir uygulama olan HGM Kürenin dijital arşivlemede kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. HGM Küre uygulamasında Türkiye sınırları içerisinde hava fotoğraflarından üretilen 1/250.000 ölçekli ortogörüntüler ve topoğrafik haritalar ile altlık oluşturulmaktadır. HGM Küre haritasında en yüksek arazi çözünürlüğü ~45 cm’dir. Çalışmada HGM Küre uygulamasında değerlendirilmek üzere Pervititch haritaları sayısallaştırıldıktan sonra koordinatlandırılmıştır. Haritaların doğrulukları, HGM Küre uygulamasına yüklenmeden önce Karesel Ortalama Hata (KOH) ölçütü ile incelenmiştir. Sonucunda elde edilen KOH değerleri 20 cm ile 1.5 m arasında değişmektedir. Çalışmanın sonucunda HGM Küre uygulamasında yer alan araçların analiz yapmaya imkân verdikleri görülmüştür. Ancak Google Earth veya diğer benzer uygulamalardaki gibi arşivlerde bulunan haritaların başka bir CBS yazılımına ihtiyaç duymadan, HGM Küre platformu üzerinde sunulamaması bir eksiklik olarak göze çarpmaktadır. HGM Küre uygulamasının arşivlerde bulunan haritaların koordinatlandırılarak platform üzerinde sunulmasına olanak sağlaması ülkemizdeki tarihi haritaların dijital arşivlemesinin sağlanması açısından iyi bir gelişme olacaktır.

Microbial fertilizer helps the plants grow healthy and stay strong due to including fertilizer and beneficial microorganisms. The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of microbial fertilizers applied in different growth stages on oil content, fatty acid composition and oil quality of peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.). The study was conducted in Osmaniye/Turkey in 2019 and 2020 according to RCBD arranged in split-plots design with 3 replications. The highest oil contents were observed in 150 cc da-1 (53.07%) and beginning bloom + full bloom (53.95%) treatments in studied years. For total unsaturated fatty acid compositions, the highest values were obtained in full bloom (79.49%) and 100 cc da-1 (79.99%) treatments. The highest O/L ratio were observed in full bloom and 100 cc da-1 treatments as 1.72 and 1.68, respectively according to mean of 2-year values. Similar results were seen in IV, and these treatments came forefront with the values 93.83 and 94.52, respectively. As a results of the study, it was concluded that (i) microbial fertilizers had the positive effects on oil content and quality parameters of peanut, (ii) the treatment 100 cc da-1 applied in full bloom may be the optimum selection.

Agriculture, which has historically been the main employment generating sector, is still very important in newly industrializing countries such as Turkey. Theoretically, it is thought that its share in GNP will decrease over time, but the depth of the decrease will depend on the economic impact of agriculture. One way to measure this effect is to adapt the Phillips curve for the agricultural sector. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyse the validity of the Phillips curve in the Turkish agricultural sector. The study is conducted by the Augmented Dickey Fuller, Phillips Perron and Zivot-Anders Unit Root Tests as well as Nonlinear Autoregressive Distributed Lag and Autoregressive Distributed Lag tests via TURKSTAT 2014Q1-2020Q3 dataset. Reviewing these test, we find that the cointegration coefficient calculated by the NARDL model is negative, yet statistically significant. Accordingly, the short-term imbalances are eliminated in the long-run and the system converges to the long-run equilibrium values. Nonetheless, since the coefficient is greater than one, it is a sign of significant fluctuations in the convergence of the system to the long-term equilibrium. Additionally, the long-run negative cointegrated relationship of unemployment and inflation indicates that the Phillips Curve is valid in Turkish agricultural sector.

ObjectiveTo analyse the correspondence between aMMP-8 PoC test results and the clinical endpoints of non-surgical periodontal treatment in stage III/IV periodontitis. BackgroundThe diagnostic success of the active-matrix metalloproteinase-8 (aMMP-8) point-of-care (PoC) test has been demonstrated in various studies, but the evidence of its accuracy following periodontal treatment is limited. Materials and methodsAltogether 42 stage III/IV grade C periodontitis patients were included in this prospective diagnostic study. Clinical periodontal indices were recorded, aMMP-8 PoC test was applied and mouthrinse was collected before and at 6, 12 and 24 weeks after non-surgical periodontal treatment. Quantitative aMMP-8 levels were determined with immunofluorometric assay (IFMA) for the verification of the PoC test results. The accuracy of the aMMP-8 PoC test was assessed using previously established clinical endpoints as references. ResultsSensitivity and specificity of aMMP-8 PoC test to indicate clinical endpoints were ranged as follows: Sensitivity 71.4% at baseline, 39.3%-42.4% at week 6, 28.6%-32.4% at week 12 and 35.3%-42.9% at week 24; specificity 64.3%-80% at week 6, 40%-57.1% at week 12 and 56%-64.3% at week 24. ConclusionsThe accuracy of aMMP-8 PoC test in identifying clinical endpoints after non-surgical periodontal treatment is reduced in relation to baseline. Individual healing patterns of each diseased pocket eventually limit the accuracy of the dichotomous aMMP-8 oral rinse test during the post-treatment period.

Türk ve Kırgız edebiyatı söz konusu olduğunda 20.yy’e kadar daha çok şiir akla gelmektedir. Bunun sebebi hem sözlü hem de yazılı edebiyatta eserlerin daha çok şiir formatında olmasıdır. Kırgız ve Türk Âşık şiir geleneğinde din, başat bir unsurdur. İslâm, Türk edebiyatının devirlere ayrılmasındaki en önemli faktördür. Bu sebeple âşık şiir geleneğinde din olgusunun iki ayrı dönemde ele alınması doğru olacaktır. Birincisi iki toplumun İslâmiyet öncesi âşıklık geleneğinde din olgusudur. Bu noktada iki toplumun şiir tarihine bakıldığında başlangıcından beri dinin, şiirin yani âşıklık geleneğinin oluşumunda etkili olduğu görülmektedir. İki halkın dini şiirleri mukayeseli olarak incelendiğinde benzer tarihlerde aynı dine inandıkları, bunları âşıklık (akın) geleneğiyle şiirlerine yansıttıkları, bir kısmını da bugünlere kadar saklamayı başardıkları görülmektedir. İkinci olarak İslâmiyet sonrası âşıklık geleneğinde dinin kuvvetli bir şekilde varlığı görülmektedir. İki toplumun İslamlaşma sürecinin farklı olduğunu, şiirlere de farklı yansıdığını görmekteyiz. Bu tebliğde özellikle Türk âşıklık geleneğinin oluşmasında İslâm’ın dolayısıyla tasavvuf düşüncesinin ve tekke pratiğinin üzerinde durulacaktır. Bu tarzın temsilcileri 19. yy sonuna kadar bir tekke ve tarikatla olan irtibatını devam ettirmiştir. Âşık kavramı, başından bugüne kadar Allah/Hakk âşığı anlamında kullanılmıştır. Bu konunun seçilme nedenlerinden biri de başlangıcından günümüze kadar bu geleneğin halkı çok etkilemiş olmasıdır. İki toplumun geleneğinde de bu şiirlerin içinde hurafe ve batıl inançların yer alması önemlidir. Kırgızlar bu ritüellere ırım-cırım der. Bugün Kırgızistan’da eski dinlerle İslam inancının senkronize olarak kullanıldığı, bunun da zenginlik olarak kabul edildiği görülmektedir. Oysa İslâm inancı bunu kabul etmemektedir.

Background MicroRNAs are small, endogenous, non-coding RNAs that regulate the expression of many genes. It has recently been shown that circulating microRNAs may be biomarkers of hypertrophy and fibrosis in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM). Objective To determine whether circulating levels of microRNAs involved in HCM are associated with electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters. Methods This study enrolled 20 patients with familial HCM and 20 blood donors. Peripheral serum levels of miR-29a-3p, miR-199a-5p and miR-451a were assessed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction and compared with levels in the control group. Whether circulating levels of miRNAs in HCM patients correlated with electrocardiographic and echocardiographic parameters was also assessed. Results Median circulating levels of miR-29a and miR-451a were significantly higher in HCM than the control group. Median miR-199a levels did not differ between groups. However, circulating levels of miR-199a negatively correlated with corrected QT duration (Bazett formula). Median miR-29a levels positively correlated with QRS duration. In addition, circulating levels of miR-29a correlated with maximal wall thickness, left ventricular mass index and left atrial volume index. Conclusions The data suggested that serum levels of miR-29a and miR-451a were significantly increased in HCM patients. As the circulating level of miR-29a correlated with QRS duration, left ventricular hypertrophy and left atrial dilatation, the serum miR-199a level negatively correlated with corrected QT duration. These miRNAs may be seen as potential biomarkers for further research in HCM pathophysiology.

Some insects cause high losses of the common bean during storage, namely, Acanthoscelides obtectus Say. Chemical insecticides are commonly used to control insects, but their overuse adversely affects the environment and consumers' health. There is, therefore, the need for an alternative control method. This study was aimed to evaluate the chemical characterization and insecticidal property of Moringa oleifera seed extract on the developmental stages of A. obtectus in stored beans. Three types of M. oleifera seed extracts, namely methanol, ethanol and acetone extracts, were used at doses of 12.5, 25 and 50 µl/ml each. HPLC-MS was used to characterize these extracts. The toxicity of extracts against the adults, the number of eggs and the viability rate of laid or emerged eggs of A. obtectus were evaluated. The results show that M. oleifera seed extract is rich in Hesperidin, Quinic acid, gallic acid, protocatechuic acid, 4-OH benzoic acid, cynaroside, isoquercitrin, cosmosiin, quercitrin, luteolin, naringenin, salicylic acid, Apigenin and Fumaric acid. The acetone extract, from day 2, showed a 100% mortality rate in all doses compared to about only 14% in the control treatment. The number of eggs laid in control (236.67) was higher than the null (0) in acetone treatment at 50 µl/ml. M. oleifera seed extracts contain chemical molecules. They significantly reduced the damage caused by A. obtectus on stored P. vulgaris grains. Therefore, they can be used as an alternative to chemicals for the protection of stored foodstuffs.

Aim: In this prospective study we aimed to compare the effectiveness of VITEK-2 (bioMérieux, France) automated system, double-disc synergy (DDST) versus combined disc test (CDT) in detecting the Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL) positivity in Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated from various clinical samples. Material and Method: E.coli and K. pneumoniae strains inoculated on Mueller Hinton Agar plate. Susceptibility tests were performed with the VITEK 2 (BioMérieux, France) system before. Afterward, EBSL positivity was investigated manually DDST and CDT. Minimal inhibitor concentration (MIC) results of three tests were compared with each other according to the European Committee on Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) criteria. Results: 184 E. coli and K.pneumoniae strains, elevated. 92.9% of 98 patients with VITEK 2 positive results were positive with combined disc and DDS method, 100% of the 86 patients with negative results of VITEK 2 were negative with combined disc and MDC. Conclusion: VITEK 2 was found to have a sensitivity of 100%, a specificity of 92.4%, a positive predictive value of 92.8% and a negative predictive value of 100%. VITEK 2 was found to be compatible with validation tests for ESBL positivity.

Objective: The compatibility of digital and analog methods assessing the positions of gingival zenith (GZ) points has not been evaluated before. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the accuracy of a digital scanner and a three-dimensional (3D) measuring tool in specifying positions of GZs by comparing it to the conventional method, an analog plaster cast and a caliper. Materials and methods: Both analog and digital impressions were obtained from 32 individuals. Following measurements were conducted in the anterior maxillary region from canine to canine on both the plaster casts and 3D images: (1) The distance from GZ to the corresponding vertical midline in each tooth (GZVM), (2) The distance from GZ of lateral incisor to the corresponding tangent that connects GZs of central incisor and canine (GZLI). Results: The intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) of GZVM in each tooth varied between 0.366 and 0.755, demonstrating moderate to good compatibility between the two methods. The ICC of analog and digital GZLI for the right and left lateral incisors was 0.788 and 0.395, respectively. Conclusion: The digital and analog methods used in this study are compatible in determining the positions of GZs. Therefore, within the limitations of the present study, the choice of method can be based on the available equipment, time, comfort, and personal preference of the researcher. Clinical significance: Both digital and analog methods have the capability of determining the positions of GZs in compatible way.

ObjectiveTo monitor salivary B-cell activating factor (BAFF), tumor necrosis factor-like weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK), and soluble (s)CD163 levels and arginase activity in periodontitis patients following nonsurgical periodontal treatment. BackgroundBAFF, TWEAK, and sCD163 and arginase are associated with activities of B cells and macrophages, which are important regulators of periodontal immune-inflammatory response and healing following treatment. Increased salivary BAFF and sCD163 levels and arginase activity in periodontitis have been demonstrated, but their changes following treatment have not been evaluated before. Materials and MethodsForty-four Stage III/IV periodontitis patients and 35 periodontally healthy controls were included in the study. Full-mouth periodontal measurements were recorded and unstimulated saliva was obtained from all participants at baseline. Sample collection and measurements were repeated in periodontitis patients at 2, 6, 12, and 24 weeks following full-mouth scaling and root debridement, whereas controls were only seen at baseline. BAFF, TWEAK, and sCD163 levels were analyzed with bead-based multiplexed immunoassay. Arginase activity was measured with Chinard's method. ResultsBAFF (p < .001) and sCD163 (p = .003) levels and arginase activity (p < .015) were higher in periodontitis patients compared to healthy controls. BAFF levels (p < .001) and arginase activity (p < .001) of periodontitis patients were reduced at 2 weeks posttreatment and continued to decrease up to 6 (p = .038) and 12 weeks (p = .024), respectively. The reduction of sCD163 levels became significant (p = .003) at 24 weeks posttreatment. ConclusionsThe decrease in salivary BAFF levels 2 weeks after periodontal treatment indicates a change in cell signaling toward limited B-cell activation. Decreasing arginase activity similarly reflects a significant reduction in inflammatory response. The reduction in sCD163 levels that are observed at 24 weeks may reflect a longstanding anti-inflammatory macrophage activation, given their multiple functions in immune response, inflammation, and healing.

The aim of this study is to determine the level of Mildfulness of highschool students in terms of genre, grade level, sport branch, team sports that they support, possibility of doing sport and their family income levels. In this regard, totally 266 students including 140 girl and 126 boy participated to the research. In this study, personal information form prepared by researchers to collecting data and developed by Thienot etc.(2014) in original, translated to Turkish by Tingaz(2020) Mildfulness Athlete scale has been used. At this research, t-test analysis has been done in terms of variables of genre and a meaninful difference has been determined. A one-sided variance analysis (ANOVA) was applied in terms of grade level, sport branch, possibility of doing sport and family income level variables, a meaningful difference was determined in analysis conclusions. There isn’t any meaningful difference in terms of variances of participant’s sport teams that they support., Bu çalışmanın amacı lise düzeyindeki öğrencilerin cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyi, spor branşı, taraftarı olduğu spor takımı, spor yapma durumu ve aile gelir düzeyi değişkenleri bakımından bilinçli farkındalık düzeylerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu bakımdan araştırmaya 140 kadın 126 erkek olmak üzere toplamda 266 öğrenci katılmıştır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu ve Orijinali Thienot vd. (2014) tarafından geliştirilen, Tingaz (2020) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan Sporcu Bilinçli Farkındalık(Mindfulness) Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada cinsiyet değişkenine göre t-testi analizi yapılmış ve anlamlı bir farklılık belirlenmiştir. Sınıf düzeyi, spor branşı, spor yapma durumu ve aile gelir düzeyi değişkenlerine göre tek yönlü varyans analizi(ANOVA) uygulanmış, analiz sonuçlarında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların taraftarı olduğu spor takımı değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılaşma görülmemiştir.

The use of Salvia species among the public and their importance in the scientific world increase due to theirnumerous pharmacological and biological activities on a daily basis. In this study, the phytochemical contents ofdifferent parts (root, branch, leaf, flower, whole) of different specimens of Salvia siirtica (SS) (in vivo and in vitro)extracts prepared with various solvents (petroleumether, chloroformand ethanol) were determined using differenttechniques (GC-MS and LC-MS/MS) and the results were compared. In addition, biological activities (antioxidant,cytotoxic, anticholinesterase antiurease, antityrosinase, antielastase and anticollagenase) of all sampleswere determined and compared. The antioxidant potential of the analysed samples was found to be high, andtheir enzyme activity potential was low. Besides, in vitro SS-TIS (Temporary Immersion System) sample showedhigh cytotoxic activity (viability% 2.12 § 0.06) against MCF-7 (breast cancer) cell line. The results of GC-MS andLC-MS/MS analyses indicated that ferruginol and sugiol could be isolated from the ethanol extract of S. siirticaroots, salvigenin and b-sitosterol from the chloroform extract of the aerial parts, and phenolic compounds fromthe ethanol extract of the aerial parts. In addition, the amount of rosmarinic acid, caffeic acid and 12-demethylmulticaulineof in vitro samples were found to be higher than those of in vivo samples. Furthermore, all samples,both in vivo and in vitro, contained high levels of rosmarinic acid and b-sitosterol. The whole chloroform extract(SSWC) could be the source extract for salvigenin (33952.13 mg/g) and b-sitosterol (16369.71 mg/g), and the rootethanol extract (SSRE) for ferruginol (17721.99 mg/g). As a result, it is understood that the nature of the plantmaterial, the choice of an appropriate solvent and the parts of the material used are quite effective in chemicalcontent. S. siirtica promise potential natural antioxidant agent in food and/or pharmaceutical industry due to itsphytochemical content (rosmarinic and caffeic acids, ferruginol, salvigenin) and antioxidant activity.

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the change in frontal QRS-T angle in different clinical stages of scorpion stings. Materials-Method: In this retrospective study, laboratory data of patients and T angle, QRS duration (ms), QT duration (ms), and QTc duration (ms) of the patients who presented with scorpion sting were calculated and recorded in the data file. The results were analyzed. Findings: Eighty patients who applied to the emergency department with the complaint of scorpion sting were included in our study. Forty-four patients were evaluated as Stage I, 26 as Stage II, and 10 as Stage III. The patient groups did not differ in age (p = 0.605) and sex (p = 0.432). No significant difference was observed between the laboratory findings of the patients at the time of admission. ECG findings showed a considerable difference in frontal QRS-T angles between scorpion sting stages (p < 0.001). Pairwise comparison of the stages with post-hoc analysis revealed a non-significant difference between Stages I and II (p = 0.143), and a significant difference between Stages I and III (p < 0.001) and Stages II and III (p = 0.003). Correlation analysis results showed that the frontal QRS-T angle was negatively correlated with age (r = −0.281, p = 0.016) and positively correlated with the clinical stage (r = 0.384, p = 0.001). Multivariate linear regression analysis was performed to identify independent predictors of frontal QRS-T angle, and the stage of the scorpion sting was identified as an independent predictor (p = 0.001). Conclusion: The increase in frontal QRS-T angle in scorpion stings may be used as a parameter that can help both early detections of cardiac involvement and clinical staging

Ongoing research aims to investigate blood-based biomarkers and use them in acute ischaemic stroke (AIS) diagnosis and management of patients with AIS.The purpose of the present study was to investigate the meteorin-like protein (Metrnl) levels secreted by adipose tissue in patients with AIS.The study groups included healthy controls (n=30) and patients diagnosed with AIS via magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the emergency department (n=35) during the one-year period. The basic laboratory values and Metrnl, total antioxidant capacity (TAC), total oxidant status (TOS), and oxidative stress index (OSI) levels of the patients were compared. The Metrnl levels were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.In the present study, the Metrnl (p=0.001) and TAC (p=0.009) levels decreased significantly, whereas the TOS (p0.001) and OSI (p0.001) levels increased significantly in the patients with AIS compared to the healthy controls. Furthermore, a cut-off value of ≤1.63% meteorin-like protein rendered the sensitivity and specificity rates of 91.43% and 71.43%, respectively, in the patients with AIS. In addition, there was a significant negative correlation between the decreased meteorin-like protein levels and the infarct diameter in patients with AIS.In patients with AIS, the meteorin-like protein levels decreased inversely with the infarct diameter, and at the same time, there was an increase in TOS and OSI levels and a decrease in TAC levels.

Plant density can have a major impact on peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) yield. Information is limited in the Eastern Mediterranean Transition Region of Turkiye on growth, development, and yield of peanut cultivars based on plant density. To address this limitation, the cultivars Aysehanim, Rigel, Halisbey, Masal, and NC 7 were established in a single row planting pattern consisting of rows spaced 70 cm apart with an inter-row plant distance of 15 cm (95.000 plants ha-1) versus a twin row planting pattern consisting of rows spaced 20 cm apart on 90 cm centers with an intra-row distance of 15 cm (148.000 plants ha-1). The interaction of cultivar × plant density was significant for most variables. Irrespective of cultivar, establishing a plant population of 148.000 plants ha-1 in the twin row planting pattern resulted in greater pod yield than the single row planting pattern with a plant density of 95.000 plants ha-1. Pod yield was similar for Rigel, Masal, and NC 7 in the twin row planting pattern and exceeded that of Aysehanim and Halisbey. Conversely, yield of Rigel and Halisbey was similar in the single row pattern and exceeded yield of Aysehanim and NC 7.

The blurring of consciousness is one of the common causes of admission to emergency departments. While evaluating an unconscious patient, all system examinations should be done more carefully and thoroughly since the unconscious patients cannot express themself adequately a patient with non-traumatic hemorrhagic cerebrovascular accident & spontaneous pneumothorax is a rare condition. In this case we aim to present, life-threatening severe clinical conditions could be occur, if the intervention is delayed.

İncelenen tezlerde en fazla kullanılan anahtar kelime ise “erken evlilik” olmuştur., The aim of this study is to examine the master's and doctoral thesis written on early marriage according to the year of publication, type, university, department, institute, language in which it was written, title of consultant, research method used, distribution of keywords and themes. A total of 35 master's and doctoral thesis were examined in the research. The sample of the research consists of master's and doctoral thesis related to the subject in CHE (The Council of Higher Education) Thesis Center. Research data were collected by document analysis method. According to the data obtained in the research, the most thesis were published in 2018, and the most thesis studies were conducted at the master's level. Thesis were mostly written in Hacettepe University and in the department of sociology. Most thesis were written in social sciences institute. Most of the thesis were written in Turkish, and the faculty members with the title of professor were the advisors to the thesis. Most qualitative research methods were used in thesis. The most frequently used keyword in the thesis examined was "early marriage".

Since calixarenes are more easily synthesized and functionalized than other supramolecules, they are compounds of interest in organic chemistry. In this study, the dihydrazide (3a and 3b) and diamino propyl (6a and 6b) derivatives of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene and calix[4]arene were synthesized. Then the L-proline methyl ester substituted chlorocyclopropenium was reacted with the calix[4]arene derivatives (3a, 3b, 6a, and 6b) at room temperature in CH2Cl2 to obtain calix[4]arene superbase derivatives (4a, 4b, 7a, and 7b) in 75%, 60%, 70%, and 55% yield, respectively. The synthesized compounds' structure was elucidated using spectroscopic techniques (FTIR, H-1 NMR, and C-13 NMR). The cytotoxic properties of the calix[4]arene superbase derivatives were investigated against different human cancer cell, including A549, DLD-1, HEPG2, and PC-3 and human healthy epithelium cell line PNT1A. The cytotoxicity results showed that calix[4]arene superbase derivatives inhibited the proliferation of DLD-1, A549, HEPG2, and PC-3 cells in a dose-dependent manner. Compound 7a had the highest toxic effect on colorectal carcinoma (IC50: 4.7 mu M), and the IC50 values were 18.5 mu M and 74.4 mu M against human prostate and lung cancer cells, respectively. Furthermore, compound 4b was found more effective on hepatocellular carcinoma cells (IC50: 210.2 mu M). As a result, the synthesized calix[4]arene superbase derivatives can be developed to treat different human cancer cell. They can be considered as a preliminary result for molecular-level research.

Türk tarihi incelendiğinde birçok kahramanlık destanının olduğu ifade edilebilir. Türk kültüründe kahramanlık ve kahraman bireyin özellikleri büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Türk tarihi ve kültürünün, Türk tarihindeki kahramanlıkların en iyi şekilde algılanabilmesi, Türk kültürünün korunması açısından büyük bir öneme sahiptir. Dolayısıyla kahramanlık ve kahramanlıkla ilgili kavramların nesillere doğru şekilde aktarımı gerekmektedir. Bireyin öğrendiği şekilde öğretme eğilimi olduğundan ve bir konuya ilişkin bilişsel yapısı, o konuya yönelik algısını temsil ettiğinden Türk tarihine yönelik eğitim alan ve gelecekte Türk tarihine ilişkin eğitim vermeye ilişkin sorumluluk üstlenebilecek olan Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi öğrencilerinin kahramanlık ve kahramanlıkla ilgili kavramlara yönelik bilişsel yapılarının tespit edilmesi önemlidir. Bu araştırmada, Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi öğrencilerinin kahramanlık ve kahramanlıkla ilgili kavramlara ilişkin bilişsel yapılarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada genel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan, kahramanlık, sabır, cesaret, umut, zafer, vatan, ahlak, namus, azim, asker, destan ve şehit kelimelerini içeren Kelime İlişkilendirme Testi aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Çalışma grubu, Orta Karadeniz Bölgesi’ndeki bir Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi’nde 12. sınıf düzeyinde öğrenim görmekte olan 64 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Elde edilen verilerin betimsel analizi sonucunda, Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi öğrencilerinin Atatürk ve Türk askerinin kahramanlık vasıflarını taşıdığına, kahramanlığın cesaret gerektirdiğine ve şehitlik mertebesine erişenlerin kahraman olduğuna ilişkin güçlü bir bilişsel yapıya sahip oldukları ifade edilebilir. Sosyal Bilimler Lisesi öğrencilerinin Türk kültüründe yer alan kahramanlık özelliklerini kavrayabileceği şekilde eğitim verilmesi önerilmektedir., When Turkish history is examined, it can be stated that there are many heroic epics. In Turkish culture, heroism and the characteristics of the heroic individual have a great importance. Being able to perceive Turkish history and culture and the heroism in Turkish history in the best way is of great importance for the preservation of Turkish culture. Therefore, it is necessary to transfer the concepts of heroism and heroism to the generations correctly. Since the individual has a tendency to teach as he learns, and his cognitive structure about a subject represents his perception of that subject, it is important to determine the cognitive structures of the concepts of heroism and heroism of the Social Sciences High School students who receive education on Turkish history and who can take responsibility for teaching Turkish history in the future. In this study, it was aimed to determine the cognitive structures of the Social Sciences High School students related to the concepts of heroism and heroism. General scanning model was used in the research. The data were collected through the Word Association Test, which includes the words heroism, patience, courage, hope, victory, homeland, morality, honor, perseverance, soldier, epic and martyr. The study group consists of 64 students studying at the 12th grade in a Social Sciences High School in the Central Black Sea Region. As a result of the descriptive analysis of the data obtained, it can be stated that the students of the Social Sciences High School have a strong cognitive structure that Ataturk and Turkish soldiers have heroic qualities, that heroism requires courage and those who reach the rank of martyrdom are heroes. It is recommended that Social Sciences High School students can comprehend the heroic characteristics of Turkish culture.

This work proposes a new approach to characterize the mechanical properties of nanowires based on a combination of nanomechanical measurements and models. Silicon nanowires with a critical dimension of 90 nm and a length of 8 μm obtained through a monolithic process are characterized through in-situ three-point bending tests. A nonlinear nanomechanical model is developed to evaluate the mechanical behavior of nanowires. In this model, the intrinsic stress and surface parameters are examined based on Raman spectroscopy measurements and molecular dynamics simulations, respectively. This work demonstrates a new approach to measure the mechanical properties of Si nanowires by considering the surface effect and intrinsic stresses. The presented technique can be used to address the existing discrepancies between numerical estimations and experimental measurements on the modulus of elasticity of silicon nanowires.

This study aimed to compare tissue levels of CD80 (pro-inflammatory macrophage-related surface marker), CD163, and CD206 (anti-inflammatory macrophage-related surface markers), and their ratios in periodontal and peri-implant health and disease. Altogether, 36 tissue samples were obtained from 36 participants with clinically healthy gingiva (n = 10), healthy peri-implant mucosa (n = 8), periodontitis lesions (n = 9), and peri-implantitis lesions (n = 9). CD80, CD163, and CD206 levels were assessed with immunoblotting. CD163 levels were found to be decreased (p = 0.004), and the CD80/CD163 ratio was found to be elevated (p = 0.002) in periodontitis lesions compared to healthy gingiva. Peri-implantitis lesions showed a tendency towards a higher CD80/CD163 ratio than in healthy peri-implant mucosa with a borderline difference (p = 0.054). No statistically significant difference was detected in CD80, CD163, and CD206 levels of periodontitis lesions when compared to peri-implantitis, and in healthy gingiva when compared to healthy peri-implant mucosa. A disruption in CD80/CD163 balance seems to be related to the pathogenesis of periodontitis and peri-implantitis, being less prominent in the latter. The reason behind this phenomenon may be either suppressed CD163 expression or reduced CD163+ anti-inflammatory macrophage abundance.

Bu çalışmada, Akdeniz Bölgesi'nde ana ürün olarak yetiştirilen yerfıstığı çeşitlerinin (Arachis hypogea L.) bazı agronomik ve kalite özelliklerinin karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Tesadüf blokları deneme desenine göre 3 tekerrürlü ve 2 yıl (2018 ve 2019) süreyle yürütülmüştür. Elde edilen sonuçların değerlendirilmesi için temel bileşen analizi (TBA) kullanılmıştır. Runner (Georgia Green), Spanish (Florispan) ve Virginia pazar tiplerine (Sultan, Brantley, BATEM-Cihangir, BATEM-5025, Arıoğlu-2003, Halisbey, NC-7, Flower-22, Wilson, NC-V-11, Com, Osmaniye-2005, Gazipaşa) ait yerfıstığı çeşitleri bitki materyali olarak kullanılmıştır. Yapılan TBA sonucunda, iki yıllık ortalamalara göre PC1, PC2 ve PC3 bileşenleri toplam varyasyonun yaklaşık %80'ini açıklamıştır. Sonuç olarak, Georgia Green çeşidi hem iç oranı (%73.96) hem de meyve verimiyle (497.24 kg da-1) ön plana çıkarken, birinci kalite meyve sayısı oranı (%80.28) ve protein içeriği (%28.76) açısından ise Arıoğlu-2003 çeşidi ön plana çıkmıştır.

Muhammed Enes Topgül, hadis tarihi hakkında bazı yargılara varmak iddiasıyla Ahmed b. Hanbel’in meşhur eseri el-Müsned’den seçtiği 5000 kadar isnadı bir takım sorulara ve etraflı analizlere tabi tuttuğu bu eserinde, hadisin ayrılmaz bir parçası olan ve temel görevi hadisin güvenilirliğini tespite imkân vermek olan isnâdları literal olarak okumanın yanında farklı bir okumaya tabi tutmayı teklif etmektedir. Batı akademisinde pek çok branşta on seneyi aşkın süredir kullanılan, ülkemizde ise henüz çok fazla yerleşmeyen, ilgili ilim dalına ait öğeleri veri olarak tanımlayan ve dijitalize edip yorumlamayı hedefleyen Dijital Beşerî Bilimler (Dijital Humanities) çalışmaları çerçevesinde yapılmış bir çalışma olan eser, bu metotla “Rivayet Sigaları” ve Ravi Nitelikleri” konularını ele alıp tahlile tabi tutmaktadır. Bu yazıda bahsi geçen eserin bölümlerine ve ana fikrine temas edilecektir.
