Social media platforms are essential outlets for expressing opinions, providing a valuable resource for capturing public viewpoints via text analytics. However, for many users, passive browsing is their preferred mode of interaction, leading to their perspectives being overlooked by text analytics methods. Meanwhile, social media polls have emerged as a practical feature for gathering public opinions, allowing post authors to pose questions with pre-defined answer options for readers to vote on. To broaden the benefits of polls for posts without them, this article explores the automatic generation of a poll from a social media post by leveraging cutting-edge natural language generation (NLG) techniques. However, existing NLG techniques, primarily developed for general-domain texts, may be ineffective when applied to noisy social media data, which often feature implicit context-question-answer relations. To tackle these challenges, we enrich a post context with its comments and propose a novel unified poll generation framework called UniPoll. It employs prompt tuning with multi-objective optimization to bolster the connection exploration between contexts (posts and comments) and polls (questions and answers). Experimental comparisons on a large-scale Chinese Weibo dataset show that UniPoll significantly outperforms T5, the state-of-the-art NLG model, which generates question and answer separately. Comprehensive qualitative and quantitative analyses further underscore the superiority of UniPoll through various evaluation lenses., Our code are available at https://github.com/X1AOX1A/UniPoll

A variety of modern applications including soft robotics, prosthetics, and health monitoring devices that cover electronic skins (e-skins), wearables as well as implants have been developed within the last two decades to bridge the gap between artificial and biological systems. During this development, high-density integration of various sensing modalities into flexible electronic devices becomes vitally important to improve the perception and interaction of the human bodies and robotic appliances with external environment. As a key component in flexible electronics, the flexible thin-film transistors (TFTs) have seen significant advances, allowing for building flexible active matrices. The flexible active matrices have been integrated with distributed arrays of sensing elements, enabling the detection of signals over a large area. The integration of sensors within pixels of flexible active matrices has brought the application scenarios to a higher level of sophistication with many advanced functionalities. Herein, recent progress in the active matrix flexible sensory systems is reviewed. The materials used to construct the semiconductor channels, the dielectric layers, and the flexible substrates for the active matrices are summarized. The pixel designs and fabrication strategies for the active matrix flexible sensory systems are briefly discussed. The applications of the flexible sensory systems are exemplified by reviewing pressure sensors, temperature sensors, photodetectors, magnetic sensors, and biosignal sensors. At the end, the recent development is summarized and the vision on the further advances of flexible active matrix sensory systems is provided.

Background. Several studies have focused on the prognostic role of microRNA 222 in glioma. But different conclusions were drawn by these studies. We aimed to systematically evaluate the role of microRNA 222 in glioma by conducting a meta-analysis. Methods. A systematic literature search until January 2020 was conducted in Web of Science, EMBASE, Cochrane Library, PubMed, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure. The general characteristics and relevant data of nine articles were extracted. Hazard ratios (HRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were applied to evaluate the prognostic role of microRNA 222 in glioma. The primary outcomes were overall survival (OS) and disease-free survival (DFS). Results. Nine articles (11 data sets) with 1564 patients were included. We systematically evaluated the role of microRNA 222 for OS and DFS in glioma patients (HR for OS=1.72; 95% CI, 1.31-2.26; p=0.001; HR for DFS=1.02; 95% CI, 0.86-1.22; p=0.032). Subgroup analyses were performed according to the sources of patients, the types of the samples, the stages of the tumors, the methods for detecting the microRNA 222, and the sample size. No significant publication bias was found. Conclusion. In conclusion, our study provided evidence that a high expression of microRNA 222 was related to worse overall survival in glioma patients. However, given the limited study number, more high-quality studies are warranted in the future.

The study characteristics, details of adverse events (AEs) and details of treatment efficacy were extracted for analysis.Results: Six studies with 996 patients were included. Common AEs of T-DM1 + pertuzumab ± taxane included fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, epistaxis, peripheral neuropathy, increased aspartate transaminase (AST), increased alanine transaminase (ALT) and thrombocytopenia. Major grade ≥3 AEs of T-DM1 + pertuzumab ± taxane included thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, fatigue, increased ALT, anemia and peripheral neuropathy. The addition of pertuzumab to T-DM1 ± taxane led to higher risks of diarrhea (especially grade ≥3 diarrhea), rash and vomiting, and decreased risks of thrombocytopenia and grade ≥3 increased AST. The relative risks of the addition of pertuzumab to T-DM1 ± taxane for objective response (1.068, 95% CI 0.945–1.207) and clinical benefit (1.038, 95% CI 0.974–1.106) were not statistically significant.Conclusion: Common AEs should be carefully monitored in HER2-positive LABC or MBC patients treated with T-DM1 + pertuzumab ± taxane. The addition of pertuzumab to T-DM1 ± taxane showed noninferior, but not superior, objective response rate and clinical benefit rate. Background: The plasma Epstein–Barr virus (EBV) DNA level in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) performs as an appealing prognostic factor, but conclusions of its prognostic values from previous studies are inconsistent. In this study, we performed a comprehensive meta-analysis to evaluate the prognostic value of EBV DNA level in patients with NPC. Methods: Published studies were searched in PubMed. The baseline characteristics of patients, overall survival (OS), and other survival outcomes were extracted. Pooled hazard ratio (HR), 95% confidence interval (CI), and P value were calculated to estimate the prognostic value of EBV DNA level. Each cut-off value mentioned in the studies was obtained. Kaplan–Meier curves were used to extract data, and graphical survival plots were extracted for calculating HR when the study did not describe the information directly. Results: This meta-analysis pooled 23 eligible studies including 10,732 patients with NPC. The pooled HR (95% CI) of pretreatment plasma EBV DNA level (pre-DNA) for OS was 2.78 (2.19, 3.55), and the HR (95% CI) of posttreatment plasma EBV DNA level (post-DNA) for OS was 5.43 (2.72, 10.82), suggesting that EBV DNA level was significantly correlated to the outcomes of patients with NPC. Conclusion: High expression levels of EBV DNA predicts poor prognosis in NPC.

In this review, the preparations of various nanoparticles and their applications in inkjet and printing fields were summarized. It includs the introduction of the green plate-making by inkjet printing based on inorganic nanocomposites, the fast assembly of photonic crystals based on polymer colloidal nanoparticles via inkjet printing, the development of printed electronics based on metal nanoparticle inks, and the discussion of nanoparticles for application in three-dimensional printing. Besides, their future prospects were presented.

The invention relates to an ink-jet printing plate making method for a substrate used for intaglio printing. The method comprises the following steps that (1) the surface of the substrate is uniformly coated with an imaging layer composed of polymer precursors, and the polymer precursors are pre-cured through the inducing function triggered by heating or light, so that the imaging layer is in a sticky and elastic state; (2) sacrificed ink is printed on the imaging layer through the ink-jet printing technique, and the polymer precursors are further cured completely through the inducing function triggered by heating or light; (3) after the sacrificed ink is removed through cleaning, concave structures capable of absorbing ink are left on the imaging layer, and thus the substrate used for intaglio printing is obtained; and (4) after the printing task is finished, the surface imaging layer is removed, and therefore the substrate can be utilized repeatedly. Compared with the prior art, the method is simple in technique, low in cost and capable of achieving large-area plate making; all materials are non-poisonous and harmless, and health protection and environment friendliness are achieved; and the substrate can be utilized repeatedly, and the materials are saved.

The invention discloses a preparation method and application of a columnar embedded type flexible circuit. The method includes the steps of coating a supporting material with a viscous-state macro-molecule material, spraying conductive ink for printing, making the conductive ink deposit in the viscous-state macro-molecule material under the spraying impact effect of a spray nozzle, and finally conducting solidification through heating or illuminating to obtain the columnar embedded flexible circuit, wherein the conductive circuit is formed after the conductive ink is dried, the viscous-state macro-molecule material is solidified into a film, and the packing material of the conductive circuit is formed. The width and height of a single wire of the prepared conductive circuit each range from 500 nanometers to 50 microns, the ratio of width to height ranges from 0.5 to 2, and the distance between the wire and an upper interface of a packing base material and the distance between the wire and a lower interface of the packing base material each range from 10 microns to 100 microns. By means of the method and application, the thickness and printing accuracy of the printing circuit are greatly improved while high pollution and high cost during exposure etching are avoided; by means of the method of packing the circuit at a time, the subsequent packing process is omitted, and the preparation method can be applied to the field of preparing transparent ultra-thin flexible circuit boards, high-integration-density flat cables and the like.

In this work, several new compounds containing tetraphenylene (TPE) units and dimesitylboron groups were synthesized through Sonogashira coupling reaction. The compounds showed the aggregation induced emission (AIE), emitted the different color and gave the relatively high quantum yield of fluorescence in solid state. Two of the compounds demonstrated the prospective application in data storage, and one molecule also displayed the potential value in biological fluorescent cell imaging.

We report on the reversible, electrical and optical switching on silver 3-phenyl-1-ureidonitrile complex thin films. The films can switch from a high impedance state to a low impedance state with an applied electric field at the threshold of 3.5x10(7)V/m. Furthermore, the films can be switched back to the original state by treating the samples at about 80degreesC. The optical recording is fulfilled using a semiconductor laser with a wavelength of 780 nm. Erasure can be accomplished by bulk heating or by the laser working with the power beneath the threshold. No loss of the organic was found in the experiments. This material may have a potential application in ultrahigh data density storage.

High-precision patterns have aroused wide attention due to their important applications in high-performance op- tical/electrical devices. By virtue of easy and direct writing of desired patterns, high throughput and low-cost, inkjet printing has become one of the most promising candidates for the manufacture of patterns, compared with conventional approaches such as photolithography, microcontact printing. Various materials can be precisely deposited on target positions. As a pri- mary focus, improving the precision of printed patterns would greatly enhance the performance of the devices. So far, various approaches have been developed for improving the printing precision. Pattern resolution is limited by the volume of jetted droplet and the area of droplet spreading on substrate. Finer resolution can be achieved through reducing the deposition di- mension, i.e. optimization of the chemical composition of ink, chemical/physical modification of substrates, and improve- ment of printing apparatus. Besides, uniform deposition of functional materials is also essential for fabricating high-precision patterns and high-performance devices. "Coffee ring" is a common phenomenon during the drying process of droplets, which is generated due to the pinning three phase contact line (TCL) and the outward capillary flow in an evaporating droplet. Therefore, homogenous deposition without "coffee ring" effect can be realized by tuning the capillary flow in the droplet and controlling the movement of the TCL as the droplet evaporating. In this paper, we presented the recent research progress for achieving high-precision patterns by inkjet printing, including minimizing the deposition dimension to improve the resolution and avoiding the "coffee ring" effect to achieve high uniformity. These reports will probably promote the development of novel and facile method for high-precision inkjet printing. New trends and research perspectives were briefly discussed at the last section of this review.

Nanometer scale data recording has been achieved on p-nitrobenzonitrile thin films using scanning tunneling microscopy.When a series of voltage pulse is applied between the STM tip and the highly ordered pyrolytic graphite substrate, structural transition at molecular scale has been observed directly for PNBN thin films.The recording mechanism is attributed to local structural transition at molecular scale,i.e.,from a crystalline state to a disordered one.The former corresponds to a high electrical resistance,and the latter to a low resistance.
