The main feature of our time is the "duality": we demand livable environment, on the other hand we use it in anunsustainable way to ensure the overflowing comfort of welfare societies. As a result, the use of the environment– namely the environmental elements and their systems, processes and structures – has now led to overloading(pollution, damage). So the state of our habitats, reflects our actions, there is no doubt about that. That is, ouractivity is an imprint of our thinking. Changing/modification requires innovations that facilitate the developmentand application of the embedded technologies of the future, building on the intersubjectivity of individuals.One of the cornerstones of the European Green Deal is that "economic growth should be decoupled fromresource use". Among our resources, the water – especially drinking water – is a scarce commodity. However,with prudence, care and ingenuity, we can do a lot to reduce the amount of wastewater.Our short paper demonstrates, through an example of wastewater recyclability, that increasing volumes are nolonger just a problem to solve. Rather, it is a challenge, and technological development offers a way out of itstrap, so that the society does not have to face the negative effects of declining water supply.

Two novel coordination complexes, namely, [Ni2(TPT)2(H2O)2] (1) and [Co(TPT)(H2O)2]n (2), based on the 3-(tetrazol-5-yl)-5-(pyrid-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole ligand were produced by solvothermal synthesis. Magnetic studies showed that between adjacent metal ions, anti-ferromagnetic coupling existed in complexes 1 and 2. The complexes’ application values against catecholamine vasoactive drug-induced acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal infection was discussed. Subsequently, the mechanism was investigated. ELISA analysis was initially used to identify the inflammatory-response levels in acute pancreatitis complicated with abdominal infection after treatment with the complex. Additionally, the C-reactive protein content of plasma was tested through the immuno-projection turbidimetric approach.

Background: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is currently rampant worldwide, resulting in unpredictable harm to humans. High blood levels of cytokines and chemokines have been marked in patients with COVID-19 infection, leading to cytokine storm syndrome. Cytokine storms are violent inflammatory immune responses that reveal the devastating effect of immune dysregulation and the critical role of an effective host immune response. Methods: Scientometric analysis summarizes the literature on cytokine storms in recent decades and provides a valuable and timely approach to tracking the development of new trends. This re-view summarizes the pathogenesis and treatment of diseases associated with cytokine storms com-prehensively based on scientometric analysis. Results: Field distribution, knowledge structure, and research topic evolution correlated with cyto-kine storms are revealed, and the occurrence, development, and treatment of disease relevant to cy-tokine storms are illustrated. Conclusion: Cytokine storms can be induced by pathogens and iatrogenic causes and can also occur in the context of autoimmune diseases and monogenic diseases as well. These reveal the multidisci-plinary nature of cytokine storms and remind the complexity of the pathophysiological features, clinical presentation, and management. Overall, this scientometric study provides a macroscopic presentation and further direction for researchers who focus on cytokine storms.

Previous studies found important associations between sexual function, self-esteem and QoL, but mainly focused on one individual’s approach rather than both partners. This study adopted a dyadic approach to evaluate the relationship between sexual function and QoL in couples with infertility through mediation and improving self-esteem.Patients and Methods: Between October 2020 and January 2021, 428 couples with infertility (n=856) undergoing in-vitro fertilization (IVF) at a tertiary hospital in Hefei, China, were registered for the current descriptive cross-sectional research. The dyads’ sociodemographic and clinical features, as well as their sexual function, self-esteem, and QoL were evaluated. The Fertility quality of life scale (FertiQoL), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI), and International Index of Erectile Function-15 (IIEF-15) were used to evaluate the participants. The Actor-Partner Interdependence Mediation Model (APIMeM) was utilized to examine data from the dyadic relationships.Results: According to the APIMeM analysis, sexual function of individuals with infertility was directly and indirectly connected with their QoL, mediated through their self-esteem. The women’s sexual function was found to be positively associated with their partner’s QoL, with the women’s self-esteem acting as a complete mediator. The men’s sexual function was found to be positively associated with partner’s QoL, with the men’s self-esteem acting as a complete mediator.Conclusion: The findings suggest that boosting participants’ self-esteem can help them and their partners have a better QoL. Also, therapies aimed at improving and sustaining self-esteem of couples with infertility could help mitigate the negative influence of low sexual function on their QoL.Keywords: in-vitro fertilization, dyad, quality of life, self-esteem, sexual function

Remote user authentication schemes provide a system to verify the legitimacy of remote users’ authentication request over insecure communication channel. In last years, many authentication schemes using password and smart card have been proposed. However, password might be revealed or forgotten and smart card might be shared, lost or stolen. In contrast, the biometrics, such as face, fingerprint or iris, have no such weakness. With the trend of mobile payment, more and more applications of mobile payment use biometrics to replace password and smart card. In this paper, we propose a biometric-based remote authentication scheme substituting biometric and mobile device bounded by user for password and smart card. This scheme is more convenient, suitable and securer than the schemes using smart cards on mobile payment environment.

Foxtail millet (Setaria italica), a short-day plant, is one of the important crops for food security encountering climate change, particularly in regions where it is a staple food. Under the short-day condition in Taiwan, the heading dates (HDs) of foxtail millet accessions varied by genotypes and ambient temperature (AT). The allelic polymorphisms in flowering time (FT)–related genes were associated with HD variations. AT, in the range of 13°C–30°C that was based on field studies at three different latitudes in Taiwan and observations in the phytotron at four different AT regimes, was positively correlated with growth rate, and high AT promoted HD. To elucidate the molecular mechanism of foxtail millet HD, the expression of 14 key FT-related genes in four accessions at different ATs was assessed. We found that the expression levels of SiPRR95, SiPRR1, SiPRR59, SiGhd7-2, SiPHYB, and SiGhd7 were negatively correlated with AT, whereas the expression levels of SiEhd1, SiFT11, and SiCO4 were positively correlated with AT. Furthermore, the expression levels of SiGhd7-2, SiEhd1, SiFT, and SiFT11 were significantly associated with HD. A coexpression regulatory network was identified that shown genes involved in the circadian clock, light and temperature signaling, and regulation of flowering, but not those involved in photoperiod pathway, interacted and were influenced by AT. The results reveal how gene × temperature and gene × gene interactions affect the HD in foxtail millet and could serve as a foundation for breeding foxtail millet cultivars for shift production to increase yield in response to global warming.

The evidence that parasitic lineages exhibit elevated evolutionary rates is limited to Arthropoda and inconsistent. Similarly, the evidence that mitogenomic evolution is faster in species with low locomotory capacity (LC) is limited to a handful of animal lineages. We hypothesised that these two variables are associated and that LC is a major underlying factor driving the elevated evolutionary rates in parasites. We tested this hypothesis by studying mitogenomic evolutionary patterns in 10,911 bilaterian species classified according to their locomotory capacity and parasitic/free-living life history (LH). Evolutionary rates were significantly elevated in endoparasites, ectoparasites with reduced LC, and free-living lineages with reduced LC, but not in ectoparasites and parasitoids with high LC. Nematoda and Arachnida were the only lineages where parasitism was not associated with faster evolution. We propose that LC may also explain these two major outliers. Overall, the LH categorisation explained 35-37%, LC categorisation 26-28%, and together they explained 41-44% of the variance in branch lengths across the Bilateria. Our findings suggest that these two variables play a major role in calibrating the molecular clock in bilaterian animals.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a widespread impact on a global scale, and the evolution of considerable dominants has already taken place. Some variants contained certain key mutations located on the receptor binding domain (RBD) of spike protein, such as E484K and N501Y. It is increasingly worrying that these variants could impair the efficacy of current vaccines or therapies. Therefore, how to design future vaccines to prevent the different variants remains urgent. In this work, we proposed an in silico approach, in which we combined binding free energy measured by computational mutagenesis of spike-antibody complexes and mutation frequency calculated from viral genome sequencing data, to estimate an immune-escaping score ( IES) and predict immune-escaping hot spots. We identified 23 immune-escaping mutations on the RBD, nine of which occurred in omicron variants (R346K, K417N, N440K, L452Q, L452R, S477N, T478K, F490S, and N501Y), despite our dataset being curated before the omicron first appeared. The highest immune-escaping score ( IES=1) was found for E484K, which agrees with recent studies stating that the mutation significantly reduced the efficacy of neutralization antibodies. Furthermore, our predicted binding free energy and IES show a high correlation with high-throughput deep mutational scanning (Pearson’s r = 0.70) and experimentally measured neutralization titers data (mean Pearson’s r = -0.80). In summary, our work provides valuable insights and will help design future COVID-19 vaccines.

Peanut is a world-renowned oilseed and food crop. Improving its biochemical quality traits is of great significance not only for meeting edible oil and food needs, but also for producing clean renewable energy. Identification of peanut genotypes with high and stable oil content in coastal areas is of economic importance, as the high oil trait of peanut bred in inland areas are difficult to fully express in coastal areas. Two peanut genotypes were grown at two sites in the coastal area. One of the genotypes was identified as with high oil and low carbohydrate, while the other, low oil and high carbohydrate. We noticed that number and total area of oil bodies were higher in high oil peanut than in low oil peanut, and that peanut with higher protein content had larger total protein body area. A novel finding of the present study was that number and area of starch grains were higher in peanut with high total soluble sugar (TSS) and sucrose contents than in peanut with low TSS and sucrose. Regarding the ultrastructural properties associated with oil, protein and TSS/sucrose contents, significant and highly positive correlations were detected between total oil body area and number of oil bodies, between total protein area and maximum protein body area, and between total starch grain area and number of starch grains. This study laid the foundation for further exploration of the mechanisms shaping peanut seed biochemical quality through transcriptomic, metabolomic and hormonal analysis.

It is generally accepted that high-oleic crops have at least 70% oleate. As compared to their normal-oleic counterparts, oil and food products made from high-oleic peanut have better keeping quality and are much healthier. Therefore, high-oleic peanut is well recognized by processors and consumers. However, owing to the limited availability of high-oleic donors, most present-day high-oleic peanut varietal releases merely have F435 type FAD2 mutations. Through screening of a mutagenized peanut population of 15L46, a high-yielding peanut line with desirable elliptical oblong large seeds, using near infrared model for predicting oleate content in individual single seeds, high-oleic peanut mutants were identified. Sequencing FAD2A and FAD2B of the mutants along with the wild type revealed that these mutants possessed G448A FAD2A (F435 type FAD2A mutation) and G558A FAD2B (non-F435 type FAD2B mutation). Expression of the wild and mutated type FAD2B in yeast verified that the functional mutation contributed to the high-oleic phenotype in these mutants. The mutants provided additional high-oleic donors to peanut quality improvement.

Chlorogenic acid (CGA) is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, abundant in honeysuckle and eucommia, and has a wide range of biological activities, and pharmacological effects. Previous studies have shown that CGA can regulate learning, memory, cognitive ability, coupled with improvement to anxiety, depression, and other post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)-like symptoms. This article explores the protective effects of CGA on neurons through its anti-apoptotic effect, inhibition of neuroinflammation and oxidative stress, which may be the mechanisms of its improvement of PTSD-like symptoms. It may provide a new therapeutic strategy for the treatment of PTSD and its comorbidities.

Seventy peanut cultivars were planted at two locations to study peanut kernel Cd accumulation. Six entries (8.57%) had a maximum kernel Cd concentration exceeding the European Union allowable upper limit of 0.20 mg/kg. Ten low Cd peanut entries with a maximum kernel Cd concentration below 0.10 mg/kg were tentatively obtained. Location, genotype and their interaction significantly affected peanut kernel Cd accumulation, with location contributing most of the variability (96.67%) and cultivar alone only accounting for 1.69%. Significant positive correlation was detected between kernel protein content and kernel Cd concentration. Negative and positive Spearman rank correlation was also found for SPAD readings and leaf spot ratings with kernel Cd concentration, respectively. The output of this study provides a basis for exploring the mechanisms underlying low Cd accumulation in peanut kernels and for mining relevant genes/QTLs through association analysis.

In recent years, soil-borne diseases including pod rot have become increasingly rampant with climate change, causing serious yield and quality losses to peanut. Resistance breeding is considered an effective measure for pod rot management. Nine peanut cultivars with various degrees of resistance were used to study leaf/shell anatomical and shell biochemical features, main agronomic traits and leaf spot disease ratings in relation to pod rot score. All four anatomical features, viz., leaf palisade cell number, cell width, index and shell lignin staining area, were negatively correlated with peanut pod rot score at 0.01 levels. However, a robust association between shell lignin content and pod rot score was not established. Given the stable and strong correlation between these anatomical features and pod rot scores and high heritability estimates of these features, the pre-existing resistance may be identified even in the absence of disease. This study provided useful selection indicators for screening for resistance to pod rot in peanut. Association analysis of peanut pod rot resistance is being carried out at our laboratory using several natural populations phenotyped in multiple environments. Particular attention will be paid to the relationship between resistance and these indicators from a genetic perspective.

A 5G network can provide more comprehensive bandwidth connectivity for the industry 4.0 environment, which requires faster and tremendous data transmission. This study demonstrates the 5G network performance evaluation with MEC, without MEC, WiFi 6, and Ethernet networks. Usually, a 5G network engages with Multi-access Edge Computing, providing the computing functions dedicated to the users on edge nodes. The MEC network architecture presents significant facilities, a network schematic, and data transmission routers. The field test performs high-definition streaming video and heavy-traffic load testing to evaluate the performance based on different protocols by comparing throughput, latency, jitter, and packet loss rate. MEC network performance, streaming video performance, and load test evaluation results reveal that the 5G network working with MEC achieved better performance than when it was working without MEC. The MEC can improve data transmission efficiency by dedicated configuration but is only accessible with authentication from mobile network operators (MNOs). Therefore, MNOs should offer industrial private network users partial authentication for accessing MEC functionality to improve network feasibility and efficiency. In conclusion, this work illustrates the 5G network implementation and performance measurement for constructing a smart factory.

In this paper, we study the coupled Higgs equation and its multi-component generalization based on the Hirota's direct method. One and two-soliton solutions of the coupled Higgs equation are derived by the perturbation approach. We express the N-soliton solutions in the form of Pfaffians and demonstrate that the N-component coupled Higgs equation turns out to be the Pfaffian identity. One and two-soliton solutions of the multi-component coupled Higgs equation are obtained from the Pfaffians. Starting from the explicit solutions, parallel solitons, periodic and nearly periodic interactions, elastic and inelastic collisions are investigated.

AIM: To observe the improvement of ocular hemodynamics before and after intraocular pressure(IOP)intervention in patients with non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy(NAION).METHODS: Retrospective case series. Totally 92 patients(92 eyes)with NAION were admitted to the Department of Ophthalmology, Xi'an Fourth Hospital from July 2012 to September 2018. Forty-six patients received only basic treatment without IOP lowering treatment as the conventional treatment group. The other 46 patients were treated with brinzolamide eye drops combined with brimonidine eye drops to lower IOP on the basis of conventional treatment, as the IOP intervention group. Before and after treatment, the blood flow rate of the ophthalmic artery and central retinal artery were measured by color Doppler ultrasound. The IOP, best corrected visual acuity(BCVA), mean visual field defect(MD), retinal nerve fiber layer thickness(RNFLT), ophthalmic artery and central retinal artery peak systolic blood velocity(PSV), end-diastolic blood velocity(EDV), pulse index(PI)and resistance index(RI)were compared.RESULTS: Before treatment, there were no significant differences in IOP, BCVA(LogMAR), MD, RNFLT, PSV, EDV, PI and RI between the two groups(P>0.05). After 14d of treatment, IOP, BCVA(LogMAR), MD and RNFLT of the two groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment(P

The forces driving interlineage variability in the evolutionary rates (both sequence and architecture) of mitochondrial genomes are often inconsistent and unpredictable. Herein we studied the impacts of multiple variables using 223 flatworm (Platyhelminthes) species and phylogenetic multilevel regression models. We found that: 1. Mitogenomic sequence evolution is faster in parasites associated with the thermally stable environment of endothermic hosts, but the overall impact of thermic habitat is small; 2. Mitogenome sizes are smaller in parasites of endothermic hosts, but the effects are small and inconsistent; 3. Mitogenomic gene order rearrangements (GORR) are positively correlated with mitogenomic size; 4. The expected positive correlation between GORR and sequence evolution is lineage-specific, and non-parasitic species exhibited a strong negative correlation; 5. Longevity has negligible impacts on mitogenomic evolution; 6. Parasitic (Neodermata) flatworm lineages exhibit higher evolutionary rates than non-parasitic lineages; 7. The effective population size has negligible impacts on mitogenomic evolution; 8. Comparatively, parasitism had by far the greatest impact on the mitogenomic evolution, but due to the monophyletic origin of this life-history strategy, alternative hypotheses cannot be rejected. A large number of factors impact the mitogenomic evolution in flatworms, with lineage-specific relative contributions, which sometimes produces incongruent lineage-specific mitogenomic evolution patterns.

This paper aims to explore the change of learning mode of college students from physical courses to online courses due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The questionnaire survey method is used to conduct research on the behavior intentions of college students in online teaching under the pandemic. A total of 600 questionnaires are distributed, and 530 questionnaires are collected, for a recovery rate of 88%. A total of 493 supported questionnaires are received, for an effective recovery rate of 93%. Descriptive statistics of data analysis are used to analyze the distribution of background variables of college students, and a structural equation model is used to analyze and verify the impact of external variables (trust, convenience, perceived critical mass) on the technology acceptance model (perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude, and behavior intention). The results found no significant impact of the trust of college students in online teaching on the perceived usefulness, and significant impact of trust on the perceived ease of use. There is significant impact of convenience on perceived usefulness, and no significant impact of convenience on perceived ease of use. There is no significant impact of perceived critical mass on perceived usefulness, and significant impact of perceived critical mass on perceived ease of use. There is significant impact of perceived ease of use on perceived usefulness, and significant impact of perceived usefulness on attitude. There is significant impact of perceived ease of use on attitude, and significant impact of attitude on behavior intention. Based on the research results, practical suggestions and research suggestions are proposed in this research, which can be used as a reference for college students to use online courses for learning.

Primary cutaneous lymphomas are rare non-Hodgkin lymphomas consisting of heterogeneous disease entities. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) utilizing photosensitizers irradiated with a specific wavelength of light in the presence of oxygen exerts promising anti-tumor effects on non-melanoma skin cancer, yet its application in primary cutaneous lymphomas remains less recognized. Despite many in vitro data showing PDT could effectively kill lymphoma cells, clinical evidence of PDT against primary cutaneous lymphomas is limited. Recently, a phase 3 “FLASH” randomized clinical trial demonstrated the efficacy of topical hypericin PDT for early-stage cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. An update on recent advances of photodynamic therapy in primary cutaneous lymphomas is provided.

The scarcity of energy resources and global warming over the past few decades have prompted the widespread adoption of renewable energy sources. Among the potential renewable energy sources, solar energy has emerged as one of the most promising renewable energy sources. However, the uncertainty and fluctuations of solar power generation create negative impacts on the stability and reliability of the electric grid, planning of operation, economic feasibility, and investment. Therefore, accurate prediction of solar power generation is crucial to ensure the stability of the power grid and promote a large-scale investment in a solar energy system. A large number of research studies have been conducted on predicting solar power generation under different perspectives. However, no existing study analyses and predicts power generation of multi-solar energy sites by only one prediction model. The integration of multiple sites into one predictive model will reduce the number of required models for each site, thereby saving the computing resources and required calculation time. This paper proposes a novel methodology to group multiple solar sites and develop an integrated model by using a machine learning algorithm to predict power generation of each group. Firstly, the K-means clustering algorithm is utilized to cluster multiple solar sites which have similar power generation properties into one group. Then, a machine learning algorithm has been developed to predict power generation in a computationally fast and reliable manner. The proposed approach is verified by the real data of 223 solar sites in Taiwan. The experimental results show that the training time can be reduced by 93.2% without reducing the accuracy of the prediction model. Therefore, the cluster-based prediction approach gives better performance as compared with existing models.

Multiple studies on the pathomechanisms of depressive disorder and antidepressants have been reported. However, literature involving scientometric analysis of depressive disorder is sparse. Here, we use scientometric analysis and a historical review to highlight recent research on depression. We use the former to examine research on depressive disorders from 1998 to 2018. The latter is used to identify the most frequent keywords in keyword analysis, as well as explore hotspots and depression trends. Scientometric analysis uncovered field distribution, knowledge structure, research topic evolution, and topics emergence as main explorations in depressive disorder. Induction factor, comorbidity, pathogenesis, therapy and animal models of depression help illustrate occurrence, development and treatment of depressive disorder. Scientometric analysis found 231,270 research papers on depression, a 4-fold increase over the last 20 years. These findings offer a vigorous roadmap for further studies in this field.

Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic inflammatory intestinal disease caused by an abnormal response of the intestinal mucosal immune system, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. IBD is also accompanied by extraintestinal complications, such as joint, skin, and eye diseases. In recent years, phytomedicine has played an important role in the treatment of IBD because of its strong anti-inflammatory activities and minor side effects. Due to the lack of a review of the literature examining the extent to which phytomedicine can be used to treat IBD, this paper summarizes the experimental research on IBD from the perspective of phytomedicine according to the structural classification of phytomedicine and provides a reference for the further development of new IBD therapies.

Purpose The survival benefits of patients with inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who undergo transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) and receive sorafenib therapy remain controversial. We aimed to identify clinical predictors in patients with inoperable HCC undergoing TACE and receiving sorafenib. Methods Between January 2014 and December 2017, 148 consecutive patients with inoperable HCC who were treated with TACE plus sorafenib were retrospectively analyzed. Critical clinical factors associated with overall survival (OS) were identified by Cox regression model analysis. Kaplan–Meier methods were used to calculate the survival times, which were compared with the log-rank test. Results Macrovascular invasion (MVI), radiologic response and sorafenib-related dermatologic toxicities were identified as independent factors associated with OS. MVI is a known prognostic factor before treatment. The median OS of patients with either radiologic response or dermatologic toxicities was significantly improved compared with that of patients without it (both 23.0 vs. 7.0 months, P P Conclusion The combination of radiologic response and sorafenib-related dermatologic toxicities is the most robust predictor of survival benefits for HCC patients after TACE plus sorafenib therapy. Purpose This study aims to propose an integrated model based on the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model (DMISS) to examine whether quality factors (system, service and information) can affect user satisfaction and performance of cloud-based marketing systems. Design/methodology/approach Recently, technologies change quickly, innovation becomes a vital base of productivity and sustainable growth of businesses is widely accepted. Cyber-physical system technologies help industries change production and marketing cycles according to customers’ needs in real-time. In addition, processing information through cloud service helps companies meet customer needs. The advantages of cloud technology also make it easier for companies to quickly collect the latest data from various sources, making it more effective in decision-making. This research recommends cloud-based marketing to help companies maximize their revenue by providing useful information and better quality for business development. The data were gathered from China automotive companies’ customers. A total of 220 questionnaires were distributed, and 165 (82.5%) usable questionnaires were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings This study verified that costumers’ perceived information quality, system quality and service quality positively caused the user satisfaction in the cloud-based marketing system. Practical implications This paper presents beneficial advice for improving cloud-based marketing systems. Besides, the topic is relevant to cloud-based marketing systems’ success. A better understanding of the impact of intention to use and user satisfaction on cloud-based marketing systems could significantly enhance companies’ success. This paper’s theoretical and practical contributions are expressed to guide organizations and policymakers in increasing cloud-based marketing systems acceptance. Originality/value This study empirically tests the relationship of quality factors and performance outcome of cloud-based marketing system through a model based on DeLone and McLean theory. This study bridges the research gap by identifying the factors that drive the adoption of cloud-based services in marketing and the impact of user satisfaction and intention to use on the cloud-based marketing system performance in the case of china companies.

BackgroundAcquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) is a global pandemic caused by human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which is transmitted through human behaviors, such as sexual intercourse, intravenous drug injection, and blood transfusion. Rare studies have focused on the evaluation of the effects of culture, society, and HIV-related policies in adjusting people's HIV-related behaviors, i.e., ways of HIV transmission.MethodsBy taking the new HIV infections in Hubei Province each year from 1995 to 2020 as the sample, our study used the Hierarchical Age-Period-Cohort (HAPC) model to analyze the effects of age, period, and cohort on the trends of ways of HIV transmission.ResultsFrom 1995 to 2020, the number of new HIV infections in Hubei presented a general upward trend. A total of 34,636 HIV infections were reported during this period. According to the statistics of the new HIV infections in Hubei Province between 1995 and 2020, there is a negative correlation between age (−0.099, p < 0.001), squared age (−0.002, p < 0.001), and the rate of blood transmission. While there is a positive correlation between age (0.143, p < 0.001), squared age (0.002, p < 0.001), and the rate of HIV infection through sexual transmission. The significant period and cohort effects on ways of HIV transmission were also observed in the Chinese population.ConclusionSexual and blood transmission are the two main ways of HIV infection in China and Hubei. The trend of blood transmission is in accordance with the wave of blood trade in the early 1990s in China. The trend of sexual transmission indicates an increasing need to promote safer sexual behavior among the older population and later generations and design more tailored, innovative, and diverse HIV prevention strategies, especially for the high-risk groups.

To explore the effect of intermittent pneumatic compression(IPC) combined with 3M thermometer on the prevention of deep venous thrombosis(DVT) in patients with femoral intertrochanteric fracture.From March 2016 to August 2019, 127 patients with femoral intertrochanteric fractures who underwent proximal femoral nail antirotation(PFNA) were retrospectively analyzed. They were divided into two groups according to different methods of thrombus prevention and treatment. Among them, 63 patients in group A did not use IPC and 3M thermometer;64 cases in group B were treated with IPC combined with 3M thermometer. Color Doppler ultrasound was used to dynamically monitor the DVT and changes of lower limbs during perioperative period. The venous thrombosis of lower limbs was monitored at 0, 24, 72 h and72 h after operation(recheck every 3 days until discharge).Occurrence of DVT of lower limbs after PFNA operation in two groups:there were 5 cases (7.8%) in group B and 20 cases (31.7%) in group A, there was significant difference between two groups (Intraoperative IPC combined with 3M thermostat can effectively prevent DVT of lower limbs in patients undergoing PFNA surgery.
