This study report aimed to investigate the barriers to implementation of electronic health record systems from the perspective of nurses. The research data comprised responses from nurses working in a university hospital. Our data collection instruments were the Participant Information Form and EHR Nurse Opinion Questionnaire, which were developed by the researchers. Data analysis was presented as summary statistics, including mean values of variables, standard deviation, frequency, and percentages. A total of 160 nurses participated in the study. The mean age of participants was 30.94 ± 0.59 years, and 77.5% were university graduates. Barriers to adoption of the electronic health record system included high number of patients (82.8%), limited time (79%), lack of knowledge and skills for effective use of the system (22.9%), lack of user-friendly interface and inability to create a common language within the team (17.8%), and attachment to the traditional method (17.2%). Although most nurses thought that the electronic health record system offered some advantages, they reported that factors such as large numbers of patients, limited time, and lack of user-friendly interface hindered its adoption. Innovative strategies should be explored to develop user-friendly designs for electronic health records and to produce solutions for nursing shortages to increase the time allocated for patient care.

Various studies have reported the antimicrobial, antifungal, and antioxidant effects of Asphodelusspecies. These species are used in the treatment of various skin-related issues such as acne, abscesses, psoriasis, burns, alopecia, wound healing, and eczema in folk medicine. The purpose of the present study is to determine the antioxidant, antityrosinase, anticollagenase and cytotoxic effects of Asphodelus aestivusand Asphodelus fistulosusas potential dermocosmetic agent, as well as the phenolic substance profiles of the species by Reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). Antioxidant capacity of the species was determined by total phenolic and flavonoid content determination, cupric ion reducing power (CUPRAC), ferric ion reducing power (FRAP) and 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity assays. Enzyme inhibition studies were conducted spectrophotometrically. The cytotoxic activity was analyzed by the 3-(4, 5-dimethylthiazolyl-2)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. As a result, it was determined that the methanolic extracts obtained from the species showed strong antioxidant activity. Based on the CUPRAC and DPPH results, A. aestivuswas found to be more effective while according to the FRAP results, A. fistulosusexhibited greater effectiveness. A. fistulosuswas discovered to be abundant in phenolic substances, while A. aestivuswas found to be richer in flavonoids. It has also been observed that the methanolic extracts have a high inhibitory effect on collagenase and tyrosinase enzymes. It is believed that the species can be used as a potential resource in the treatment of skin aging and hyperpigmentation problems in the dermocosmetic industry. It is thought that the data obtained in the study will lead to further studies.

Intracranial involvement by Hodgkin disease is rare. We report a pediatric patient with Hodgkin disease who had intracranial disease at presentation. The patient was referred to our hospital with a suspicion of central nervous system tumor. Although the most common presenting feature of intracranial Hodgkin disease is cranial nerve palsy with brain parenchyma being the most common intracranial site of involvement, to our best knowledge no pediatric case of Hodgkin disease presented with isolated cavernous sinus syndrome reported. We report this rare case because of its unusual presentation, in which Hodgkin disease presented with cavernous sinus syndrome. Physicians should consider the probability of Hodgkin disease in children of all ages who present with cavernous sinus syndrome.
