Global climate change affects not only rice yield but also grain quality. A better understanding of the effect of environment factors on rice yield and quality provides information for breeding new varieties adapted to a changing world. This study uses indica-japonica recombinant inbred lines (RILs) constructed in different ecological regions of China as test materials. The objectives were to determine the effect of environment on rice yield and quality. The results revealed that: the yield of RILs in Liaoning was greater than that in the other regions, milling and appearance qualities in Sichuan and Guangdong were worse than that in Liaoning and Shanghai. High temperature and high relative humidity combined with low sunshine duration were the main reason for lower milling quality and greater chalkiness traits. The air temperature during heading stage and maturity stage seemed more important for rice milling and appearance qualities throughout the growing season.

It is well known that mid and long term electric load forecasting has many uncertain factors that influence the forecasting precision greatly, so every forecasting method has its limitation. Considering limitations of basic grey model and conventional improved models, a new practical method called combined optimum grey model for mid and long term load forecasting is introduced. The combined model is composed of partial error optimum grey model (GM) as well as equa-l dimension and new-information grey model. The forecasting algorithm can estimate model parameters, meet the requirements of dynamic power load and overcome random disturbances. Example analysis shows that the forecasting error is below 3 percent. Compared with conventional theoretical methods, the proposed scheme has the characters of simple computation, high forecasting precision and good applicability.

Routing information release is a kind of promise from the router for network reachability. Illegal routing information may have disastrous effects on the normal work of the network. Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) protocol provides authentication methods to protect the authenticity and integrity of the routing traffic. This paper describes two authentication types of OSPFv2, analyzes the realization mechanism and packet header format of each authentication respectively. Based on GNS3, a typical network topology was designed, and with the aid of it functional verification and security analysis are carried out. The simulation can provide a reference for building an OSPF network. Experimental results show that the configuration of OSPFv2 routing authentication can effectively prevent the router from receiving unauthorized or malicious routing updates, thereby improving network safety.

Numerical simulations have been done to investigate the effect of passive flow control on the flow separation and the strength of the shock wave of the NACA0012 airfoil with two types of the porous surface. It has also been discussed that which region the porous surface applied to will make better effect on the flow control. The results show that the B type of the porous surface, which has empty bottom, has effective control on the flow separation if applied to the region near behind the separation point, while the A type of the porous surface is useless. And both A and B porous surface have effect on the decreasing of the strength of the normal shock wave strength when the porosities have been applied to the region across the shock wave. And compared with A type porous surface, the effect of the control is better if B type porous surface is applied. The result has been concluded that the aerodynamic characteristics of the airfoil can be improved with B type of the porous surface. And the B type is worth to be used.

In order to determine the best maintenance time of wind turbines and identify the fault type when it is the best time to do the diagnosis work immediately. The establishment of 4-level safety status model for critical parts of wind turbines, based on wind turbine parts’ significance level, was proposed. According to the corresponding safety level of the wind turbines in real-time working status, you can decide whether the wind turbine needs diagnosis at the time or not. Therefore, we should take measures to monitor the real-time working conditions of the wind turbine’s critical parts, confirming whether the critical part need the fault diagnosis analysis or not according to its real-time working safety status. If it is the right time, then the corresponding fault diagnosis process will be initiated, through which the real online fault diagnosis can be achieved. The multi-scale wavelet decomposition and Hilbert transformation was employed to get the useful parameters such as amplitude, effective value, mean value, kurtosis value and so on of the corresponding waveform to confirm the concrete diagnosis type.

Coal-fired power units show defects in meeting the demands of maintaining power system frequency stability. This is mainly due to their inherent characteristics and a continuous increase in renewable generation. Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) has such advantages as fast response and precise tracking, thus may be a new frequency regulation method. On basis of the principle of energy storage for regulation, capacity configuration of energy storage is made as an alternative to coal-fired power unit accounting for both primary and secondary frequency regulation. Example calculations and simulation in MATLAB/SIMULINK are conducted to verify the feasibility of the proposed capacity configuration methods and the reliability of the energy storage system for regulation.

Nowadays, in China nearly all the produced oil-fields have already entered the period of high water cut, and the six oil-fields of Daqing and Shengli oil-field etc. have exceeded eighty percent water cut. Beierdong Block has produced for nearly fifty years, and now it has entered into the descending output stage and its water cut has reached more than ninety percent. With oil field infill gradually in Beierdong Block, each series of well network production target getting worse gradually, intersecting with old well network stratigraphic position, and polymer flooding well network use part of water driving old well, making the contradictory of layer well network concatenate and dynamic regulation intensely. Especially as the block of infill adjustment proceeded earliest, acquired better developed effect at the beginning of regulation, but with the deep development of the field, after the phase of extra high water cut, exposed gradually some problems such as the perforating interval is too long, the contradiction of interlamination is obvious, the high water cut of multilayer is serious, bringing huge difficulty to dynamic analysis regulation[1]. Basing on layer recombination and using the reservoir simulation method, the paper studied the distribution of remaining oil, forecast variation regular pattern of development indexes. By contrasting these indexes, the paper estimates the effect of layer recombination. It has important significance for the next period’s development.

Hemp was treated with guanidine dihydrogen phosphate [GDP] to impart flame retardance. The thermal degradation of the samples were studied by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis (DTA). The flame retardance was determined by LOI. Morphology of the char structure was studied by SEM to obtain information concerning the thermal degradation mechanism. For hemp treated with GDP, which has higher LOI and char yield values, the oxidative decomposition stages include a decomposition stage at lower temperatures (165-240°C) , leading to more carbonaceous residue and small amount of flammable products to get the good flame retardance. The SEM of the chars of hemp treated with GDP also indicate the structure of the charring layer may increase heat insulation, and protect inner matrix materials.

Yellow River Delta had been extensively engineered to control flooding and to protect coastal development which leaded to wetlands destruction and severe water pollution. The Yellow River Conservancy Commission decided the water supplement to the wetland during the water and sediment regulation period in 2010. In order to study the water quantity and distribution simulation, one-dimensional SOBEK model was used to flood simulation in the Yellow River Delta. The Re of the daily water level at four stations for the calibration period were 0.6%, 2.3%, 2.9%, 7.0%,.which indicated that the simulated values matched very well with the observed values. The SOBEK model had predicted the water level volume in 2003 within the range of acceptable accuracy. It indicated that the one-dimensional method SOBEK model was suitable for the flood simulation.

Complexes of cell-THPC-thiourea-ADP with Ca2+ have been prepared. The thermal stability and smoke suspension of the samples are determined by TG, DTA and cone calorimetry. The activation energies for the second stage of thermal degradation have been obtained by following Broido equation. Experimental data show that for the complexes of cell-THPC-thiourea-ADP with Ca2+, the activation energies and thermal decomposition temperatures are higher than those of cell-THPC-thiourea-ADP, which shows these metal ions can increase the thermal stability of cell-THPC-thiourea-ADP

Wind power is a new technology compared with thermo power, the damage of sub-synchronous oscillations cloud bring to the shaft of wind turbine do not get enough notices. There are few studies on wind turbines sub-synchronous oscillation now, which are built on the model of rigid shaft. As we all know wind turbine shaft is unlike the shaft of stream turbine, there are couplings and gearbox in wind turbine which make the shaft flexible, so the studies of wind turbine sub-synchronous oscillations based on rigid shaft model are not reasonable, this paper introduces a new flexible shaft model for studying of wind turbine sub-synchronous oscillations. Flexible equipments, such as joints and gearbox are taken into consideration when the model are set up, so this model is far more scientific.

Vortex ring state (VRS) is an inherently unsteady aerodynamic phenomenon. For rotor operations in the VRS, an inherent unsteadiness is a characteristic of the flow state, which is reflected by the waves and knots produced on the tip vortex filaments. Operationally, entry into the VRS manifests as rotor thrust fluctuations and also an increase in the average rotor shaft torque, the latter which is necessary to overcome the higher induced aerodynamic losses associated with rotor operations inside its own wake. Arming to the flight safety, the VRS development is discussed, the VRS models are summarized, and the operations for flight out VRS are given at the end of this paper. It is helpful to helicopter flight and training.

This study reports the application of an electronic nose for the identification and classification of red wines aged three different methods. The signals of the different wines detected by the 10 sensors present in the E-nose are significantly different from each other. The response to the signal generates a typical chemical fingerprint of the volatile compounds present in the wines. Principal Component Analysis can be applied for the dimensionality reduction of the collected signal. Since the total contribution rate of the first three principal components is up to 97.27%, different wines can be distinguished from each other by the three principal components. Euclidean distance, correlation analysis, Mahalanobis distance and linear discrimination analysis can offer 100% accuracy for known samples, and the accuracy rate can reach 88.9% for the 18 test samples. In addition, numerous advantages exist compared with sensory analysis in both authentication and quality control of wines.

The microstructure and properties of Cu-7.5Ni-5Sn alloy after homogenization treatment was investigated. The research results show that homogenization treatment can obviously eliminate dendritic segregation in Cu-7.5Ni-5Sn alloy. The temperature of homogenization annealing has a great influence than the effect of holding time. The ingots of Cu-7.5Ni-5Sn alloy which were homogenization treated at 780°C for 24 hours can be rolled up to 30% deformation by cold-rolling. Some tiny white matter is still remaining in dendrite boundary, but atom fraction of Ni and Sn of the dendritic segregation is decreased by 12.04% and 4.73% respectively compare with casting state. The electrical conductivity and Brinell hardness of Cu-7.5Ni-5Sn alloy homogenization treated at 800°C for 24 hours is 12.8%IACS and 132Hv, and increases 18.5% and 29.9% respectively.

We studied volatile determination in lignite coal samples using near-infrared (NIR) spectra. Firstly, spectra were pre-processed to eliminate useless information. Then, determination model was constructed by partial least squares regression. To study the influence of pre-processing on determination of volatile for NIR analysis of lignite coal samples, we applied four techniques to pre-process spectra, including normalization, standardization, centralization, derivative and discrete wavelet transform. Comparison of the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE) and root mean square error of prediction (RMSEP) of the models show that the models constructed with spectra pre-processed by discrete wavelet transform gave the best results. Through parameters optimization, the results show that discrete wavelet transform and partial least squares regression can obtain satisfactory performance for moisture and volatile determination in coal samples.
