The article discusses the estimation of the total content and composition of the Policosanols (PCs), a group of long chain alcohols that have many beneficial physiological activities in 15 rice cultivars from Korea. The result provides preliminary information on the health-promoting phytochemicals in PCs, the composition of PCs in 15 rice cultivars from Korea, and the correlations among their contents.
