In this article, we analyze the vertex $D^*D^*\rho$ with the light-cone QCD sum rules. The strong coupling constant $g_{D^*D^*\rho}$ is an important parameter in evaluating the charmonium absorption cross sections in searching for the quark-gluon plasmas. Our numerical value for the $g_{D^*D^*\rho}$ is consistent with the prediction of the effective SU(4) symmetry and vector meson dominance theory.

In this letter, we take the point of view that the X(1576) be tetraquark state which consists of a scalar-diquark and an anti-scalar-diquark in relative $P$-wave, and calculate its mass in the framework of the QCD sum rules approach. The numerical value of the mass $m_X=(1.66\pm 0.14) GeV$ is consistent with the experimental data, there may be some tetraquark component in the vector meson X(1576)., Comment: 6 pages, 1 figure, second version, typos corrected

High-quality superconducting FeSe0.5 Te0.5 films are epitaxially grown on different substrates by using the pulsed laser deposition method. By measuring the transport properties and surface morphology of films grown on singlecrystal substrates of Al2O3 (0001), SrTiO3 (001), and MgO(001), as well as monitoring the real-time growth process on MgO substrates with reflection high energy electron diffraction, we find the appropriate parameters for epitaxial growth of high-quality FeSe0.5 Te0.5 thin films suitable for angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy measurements. We further report the angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy characterization of the superconducting films. The clearly resolved Fermi surfaces and the band structure suggest a sample quality that is as good as that of high-quality single-crystals, demonstrating that the pulsed laser deposition method can serve as a promising technique for in situ preparation and manipulation of iron-based superconducting thin films, which may bring new prosperity to angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy research on iron-based superconductors.

An exact two-soliton solution of cubic Schrodinger equation is derived by using the inverse scattering method, where the transmission coefficient has one pole of second order instead of two simple poles. This solution describes such a process that two infinitely separated solitons approach and then pass through each other and keep straight on infinitely.

A novel controllable hybrid-anode AlGaN/GaN field-effect rectifier (HA-FER) with low operation voltage (LOV) is proposed. Its mechanism can be explained by the field-controlled energy band model. This model reveals that the electric field in the AlGaN layer alters the energy band to result in a variation of the two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) at AlGaN/GaN interface; the field can be changed by the thickness d of the AlGaN layer and the applied bias. As the d reduces below the critical thickness, the 2DEG vanishes and then the channel is pinched of. Therefore, the threshold voltage of HA-FER can be designed as low as 0 V leading to LOV (< 1 V). The analytical characteristic of the HA-FER is calculated and validated by the simulated results. These results also demonstrate that the forward properties of HA-FER are superior to the conventional SBD due to the high Schottky barrier.

Alfven resonance in high beta plasmas is studied with a five-field model based on the two-fluid theory. The mode conversion and low frequency oblique whistler wave generation are found in the resonance layer. Properties of wave propagation, polarity, and interaction with charged particles are also investigated.

We study the scaling behavior of the linear response in the quench dynamics in the one-dimensional transverse-field Ising model. It is found that the leading response of the system scales linearly with the system size. By considering the second derivative of the leading term of the response, we also found that it exhibits a non-trivial scaling behavior at the quantum critical point of the model.

The effect of periodic arrays of feedback shunted piezoelectric patches in the flexural wave attenuation of phononic beams is analyzed theoretically and experimentally. A numerical model based on transfer matrix methodology is developed to predict the transmission of vibration and the frequency ranges of the band gaps. Broadband vibration attenuations are observed in or out of the band gaps. The proposed concept is validated on a suspended epoxy beam driven by a shaker, and the experimental results are presented in terms of the vibration transmissions recorded using two accelerometers placed on both sides of the beam.

We parameterize the vertexes ΣQΞ*QK* and Ξ'QΣ*QK* with three tensor structures due to Lorentz invariance, and calculate the corresponding three coupling constants within light-cone QCD sum rules. We then obtain their numerical values taking into account all the uncertainties of the relevant parameters.

We address the possibility of the classical Zeno effect in classical stochastic processes as sampled by transferring a digitized image through a classical channel with surrounding noise. It is shown that the the classical state of the image decays inevitably with the distance of the channel due to the interference of the surroundings. However, if there are enough repeaters, which can both check and recover the state's information, the classical state's decay rate will be significantly suppressed, then a classical Zeno effect might occur.

Periodic arrays of shunted piezoelectric patches are employed to control the propagation of elastic waves in phononic beams. Each piezo-patch is connected to a single resistance-inductance-capacitance shunting circuit. Therefore, the resonances of the shunting circuits will produce locally resonant gaps in the phononic beam. However, the existence of locally resonant gaps induced by resonant shunts has not been clearly proved by experiment so far. In this work, the locally resonant gap in a piezo-shunted phononic beam is investigated theoretically and verified by experiment. The results prove that resonances of shunting circuits can produce locally resonant gaps in phononic beams.
