The northern coastline of Central Java is vulnerable to coastal floods. In recent years, the area impacted by coastal flooding on the northern shore of Central Java has grown and encroached further onto the mainland. This precipitated the “sinking” of Central Java’s northern coast. The deterioration of the north shore of Central Java has a social and economic impact on the local community. Every year floods along the northern shore of Central Java cause growing property losses, particularly for the region’s residents. This forces the local community if they wish to continue living in the area, to adapt to the severe conditions in their immediate environment. Each member of the local community undertakes the adaptation process of filling the soil to raise the elevation of their home and the infrastructure surrounding it. This study demonstrates that using landfilling to elevate the base elevation of dwellings and road infrastructure is a successful adaptation technique; nevertheless, it will incur large expenses for the people, as the landfilling process would need to be repeated frequently due to sea level rise.

In urban area, modern role of bridges is to connect two or more locations. In that area, it is often to construct long span road crossing curved integral bridges consisting of several spans. In this study, the same type of bridge which is located at the intersection of an existing road and an elevated toll road in Jakarta showed cracks at one of the piers during construction of bridge segments. Construction time started from the beginning of 2016 until the end of 2018. Observations were done after the occurrence of cracks by installing strain gauge sensor at the lower part of the pier. Strain from the strain gauge is not only influenced by the construction activities but it is also influenced by the temperature of the surrounding environment. Construction staging analysis using MIDAS Civil software was conducted to evaluate the cracks. Numerical strain evaluation was done by considering the temperature effect taken from the measurement. Both stress which is calculated from the strain obtained by the measurement and construction staging analysis are in good concordance. Using the allowable stress limit for both obtained stress, the actual condition at the pier were verified.

Run-up tsunamis have the ability to pick up debris along their path. More severe damage may result from the debris and their force of impact. Therefore, it is important to analyse the potential for debris in a tsunami-prone area. This study examines the threat of tsunami debris in Cilacap City, especially the source of debris from temporary or non-permanent buildings along the coast of Cilacap City. A site assessment was conducted to observe the existence of non-permanent buildings along with their number and characteristic. The results of the study show that the infrastructure of Cilacap City faces a serious threat from tsunami debris which is source from non-permanent buildings. The material transported by the tsunami run-up to cause debris was maximum 465 tons found in area around Pasir Emas Street cause potential debris for one-meter perpendicular to tsunami run-up direction 503 kg and generate tsunami impact force 28,284.3 N. In addition, the fishing port, Pendem fort and Pertamina oil refinery are also potentially affected by tsunami debris because each location has a significant number of non-permanent buildings.

Red ginger (Zingiber officinale var. rubrum) is a medicinal plant that contains essential oils in rhizome. In order to meet market demand, by integrated plant nutrition supply it is necessary to apply both organic and inorganic fertilization. This study aims to determine the right combination of ZA and SP 36 fertilizer doses in the growth and yield of red ginger. This esearch was conducted in March - August 2021 in Pelem, Wonorejo Village, Jatiyoso District, Karanganyar Regency, Indonesia with 762 usl and coordinates 7°43'24.7”S 111°05'31.2”E. The research design used randomized completed block design (RCBD) one factor with 4 levels and 6 replications. The treatment levels were D0 (Control, without in organic fertilization), D1 (225 kg.ha−1ZA+50 kg.ha−1SP 36), D2 (450 kg.ha−1ZA+100 kg.ha−1SP 36), D3 (675 kg.ha−1ZA+150 kg.ha−1SP 36). The results ZA and SP 36 fertilization obtained have not been able to increase the growth and yield of red ginger. Research needs to be done with the balance of other nutrients to increase the yield of red ginger.

Dendrobium stratiotes is one of orchids that is in demand because its flower diameter is larger than others. But now it is rarely found in nature and least available compared to other orchids. This exacerbated by climate change that supports the scarcity. Therefore, in vitro propagation is one of solution This study aims to evaluate the effect of several types of medium, PGR, and their interaction to in vitro growth. This research was designed in completed randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is medium type there are VW, ½ MS, Growmore, and AB-MIX. The second factor is the type of PGR there are 0 (without PGR), BAP, IAA, combination of BAP+IAA, BA, NAA, combination of BA+NAA, all with a concentration of 1 ppm. The growth monitoring was conducted for 2 months. The results showed that the use of ABMIX without PGR produce significants effect to plant height, Growmore with NAA produce significants effect to number of roots, ABMIX with BAP+IAA produce significants effect to number of leaves. Medium, PGR, and interaction between the both did not give significant effect on plant weight. The ABMIX without PGR was able to resulted most notable treatment than others.

Red ginger with superior content of 6-shogaol, 6-gingerol, and gingerdion are commonly used as traditional medicines that are useful for the health of the body and have a high market demand. Satisfaction of market interest for red ginger should be possible utilizing ideal and reasonable development innovation. This study aims to obtain a substitution of NPK fertilizer with Dirjanik as organic fertilizer that gives better results. The study was carried out in Pelem, Wonorejo, Jatiyoso, Karanganyar, Indonesia during March to July 2021. The experiment was using a one-factor randomized complete block design (RCBD), five levels, 5 replications, namely D0 (100% NPK), D1 (75 % NPK + 25% organic fertilizer), D2 (50% NPK + 50% organic fertilizer), D3 (25% NPK + 75% organic fertilizer), and D4 (100% organic fertilizer). Data analysis used orthogonal contrast (5% F test) variance to obtain differences between organic fertilization and other fertilizers, as well as differences between substitution doses. The results showed that D2 fertilization gave higher plant growth in the form of number of leaves, number of stems per clump, and biomass. D3 fertilization gave higher yields per plot in the form of rhizome thickness, fresh weight (1.4 tons ha−1), and rhizome storage weight (1.2 tons ha−1). Fertilization 100% organic/7,419.4 kg ha−1 organic fertilizer effect on the yield of fresh weight and storage weight per clumsp higher.

The agricultural sector currently produces about 18.4% of the total emissions of greenhouse gases that cause climate change. This impact causes a decrease in the quality and quantity of agricultural products such as soybeans. One of the efforts to increase soybean production is by agroforestry systems. This research to examine the response of soybeans to organic fertilizers from various agricultural wastes in a pine-based agroforestry system. The research design used a completely randomized block design with one treatment fertilization with four levels, namely chemical fertilizers; Indigofera tinctoria compost; corn cobs compost; peanut green manure. The type of organic fertilizer affects plant height, total chlorophyll, plant biomass, number of pods planted, and seed yield per hectare. Peanut green manure showed the highest seed yield per hectare at 1.4887 tons.ha−1. The highest plant height in peanut green manure. Meanwhile, with corncob compost, the highest number of pods planted was 14.60 pods. Total chlorophyll reached 1.912931 cd.m−2 in the treatment of corn cobs compost. Chlorophyll a was positively correlated with chlorophyll, while plant fresh weight was positively correlated with seed weight per hectare. Agricultural waste can be used as organic fertilizer supporting soybean growth and yield in pine stands-based agroforestry systems.

Expanding sustainable agriculture approaches is critical to increase crop growth and productivity. This farming system should involve organic fertilization and not neglect the recycle of organic waste. One of the organic wastes that can be used as compost is Indigofera tinctoria natural dye waste. The research objective was to examine the vegetative growth response of corn plants to Indigofera tinctoria compost. The design used was a complete randomized block design with one factor of fertilization doses with 3 six levels namely 2.91; 5.83; 8.75; 11.67; 14.58 tons/ha, and chemical fertilizers as controls. Indigofera tinctoria compost meets the standards as organic fertilizer according to the Ministry of Agriculture with characteristics of 18.2% water content, 52.48% organic C, 90.48% organic matter, 2.84% total nitrogen, 1.54% total phosphate, total potassium 2.44%, 1.30% available nitrogen, 0.92% available phosphate, 1.52% available potassium and 60 cmol/kg cation exchange capacity. The dose of compost significantly affected on plant height of 2-4 WAP, stem diameter of 2 WAP , and root biomass of 2 WAP. The compost dose of 5.83 tons/ha has increased root growth and plant height.

This study analyzed sustainable tourism development and tourism strategies in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) through their tourism office. The method used in this study was a qualitative description with the help of NVIVO 12 Plus software to analyze the West Nusa Tenggara government strategy. The results of this study are that the West Nusa Tenggara government’s plan for developing sustainable tourism is to increase attractions, accessibility, security, public facilities, and government intervention to develop tourism and realize sustainable tourism. The five variables have also supported the economy as seen from the gross domestic product increased by 4.6% in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the second quarter of 2020, fulfilled the social needs of the community and did not damage the environment and even exceeded the target as evidenced by the environmental index data for West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Land conversion causes a decrease in the area of agricultural land, so that agricultural cultivation efforts through agroforestry systems are needed, such as planting between mahogany trees. The aim of the study was to examine the morphological and physiological responses of soybeans to organic fertilizers in mahogany-based agroforestry systems. The study consisted of a single factor, namely the type of organic fertilizer using a completely randomized block design. Treatment of types of fertilizers with four levels, namely: chemical fertilizer, chicken, goats and cow manure. The results showed that the type of organic fertilizer affected soybean morphology, namely plant height 3 and 4 WAP, leaf number 4 WAP, and soybean physiology, namely total chlorophyll. The plant height and the number of leaves were highest in the cow manure fertilizer. Chicken manure produced the highest total chlorophyll, which was 0.0743 mg/g. Total chlorophyll count was positively correlated with the amount of chlorophyll a and b. In addition, plant fresh weight was positively correlated with plant biomass. Soybean has the potential to be cultivated in agroforestry systems and the addition of nutrients with organic fertilizers.

Water treatment of river water is generally carried out conventionally, a rapid sand filter consisting of a coagulation unit, flocculation, sedimentation, and sand filtration. One of the disadvantages of sand filters is that it requires a large volume of water for washing, inconsistent quality, and escape of microorganisms less than 0.01 mm in size. Membrane technology can solve this problem with the advantages of including a more compact unit with a larger surface area per volume. The immersed membrane has another advantage that it is possible to integrate with sedimentation units so that it can save the land. This paper will study a comparison of the performance of the microfiltration membrane with sand filters in two drinking water treatment plants. The comparison method is based on technical specification, capacity, and quality performance. The results show that the quality of the microfiltration membrane filtrate is better than the sand filter. Overall immersed membrane microfiltration with pore size 0.05 µm had removal efficiency of E. Coli was 100%, turbidity 93 %, TSS 100%. Organic permanganate value 37%, and Microplastics 81.5%, whereas pore size 0.07 µm removal E. Coli was 99.8%, turbidity 52.9 %, Organic permanganate value 17.6%, and Microplastics 37.1%. The productivity of microfiltration membranes is more significant than rapid sand filters. The removal efficiency of WWTP Ngagel was better than Siwalan Panji.

The study on the structure of the plankton community in monoculture and Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture System (IMTA) Floating Net Cages at Karimunjawa Islands was conducted in October 2021. This study aimed to assess the structure of the plankton community along with water quality parameters in those areas. Sampling was carried out by using the filtration method with a plankton net at three locations, namely monoculture, IMTA floating net cages, and non aquaculture (reference site). The study discovered 40 species consisting of 22 species of phytoplankton and 18 species of zooplankton. The phytoplankton found were from the Bacillariophyceae, Cyanophyceae, and Dinophyceae classes, while the zooplankton were from the Ascidiacea, Branchiopoda, Eurotatoria, Hexanauplia, Malacostraca, Secementea and Thecostraca classes. The biological indeces of phytoplankton showed the diversity index (H) between 1.26 - 2.27, the evenness index (E) between 0.4-0.17, and the dominance index (D) between 0.46 - 0.72. The zooplankton biological indeces showed the value (H) between 1.44-2.28, the value (E) is between 0.67 - 0.99 and the value (D) is between 0.11-0.19. Water quality parameter ranges were: visibility 5.1-7.38 m, water temperature 24.53-25.8 °C, turbidity 0-0.48 NTU, DO 1-14.74 mg.L−1, pH 5.75-9.55, salinity 29.5-33 °/oo and TDS 8.94 - 18.9 ppm. As large tracts of degraded peatlands are caused by conversion and fires, peat restoration is carried out to restore peat ecosystems to their natural condition and support the socioeconomics of communities around peatlands that are affected because they depend on the resources provided by peatlands as livelihoods. This study aims to see the implementation of peat restoration in the Rewetting, Revegetation, and Revitalization (3R) approach in Jambi Province. The research focuses on the economic revitalization of people’s livelihoods. This research method is exploratory qualitative, while data collection is through interviews, observations, documentation, and literature: data analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of research on the implementation of peat restoration in Jambi Province have been carried out since 2018; the implementation of the 3R has not been optimal, which is still far from the target set. In particular, assistance for the economic revitalization of people’s livelihoods lacks help, so the program’s sustainability is stopped halfway. In addition, the collaboration and coordination of the Regional Peat Restoration Team (TRGD) agencies did not go well.

The productivity and price of hybrid corn in Karanganyar Regency are lower than the productivity and price of the surrounding districts, especially during the la Nina storm. This study aims to determine the feasibility of mixed corn farming in the Karanganyar Regency. Determining the location and sampling was done using the purposive sampling technique with 80 farmers as respondents. The data analysis method used was the farm Cost-income analysis, R/C ratio, BEP (Break-Even Point), Profitability-cost ratio, Labor productivity, and Sensitivity analysis. The average income was IDR 3,975,741 per farm or IDR 7,795,571 per hectare. The average cost calculated was IDR 1,930,362 per farm and 4,257,302 per hectare. The analysis of BEP, R/C ratio, the profitability-cost proportion, labour productivity and sensitivity showed that hybrid corn is feasiblethe profitability-cost proportion was more significant than the applicable bank interest. Labour productivity was greater than the prevailing labor wage. The sensitivity showed that hybrid corn farming was feasible under decreasing prices by up to 50%. Therefore, farmers still benefit from cultivating hybrid corn. However, the effect of La Nina will continue, so farmers must be more adaptive to excessive water and pest attacks on their land.

Jambi Province is one of the areas most prone to forest destruction in Indonesia. The case of forest fires is an annual disaster that regularly occurs in Indonesia, including one in Jambi province. The problem of forest fires often occurs in Indonesia, whether human activities cause it or are caused by a long dry season. This study analyzes Sustainable Forest Governance from the point of view of the New Policy Strategy in Handling Forest Fires in Jambi Province. This research focuses on Jambi Province, one of Indonesia’s regions with the largest forest. This research method is qualitative exploratory with secondary data carried out to describe and describe the research. Data were collected from field interviews, online media, and related literature related to the research topic. The analysis technique uses the NVivo 12 plus data processing application, a qualitative document analysis tool with the help of a computer. Equipment. They are easy to use and can word-process and explore word frequency, attributes, and cases from big data. They also generate factor or sub-factor categories in journalistic and research applications related to the research topic. The study results show that the government’s program in making new policy strategies for handling forest fires in the province has several indicators, then the cooperation of actors in forest fire prevention in the region.

This study aims to determine the effect of goat manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of tomato (Lycopersicon Esculentum). The research was conducted in the village of Jiken, Tulangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, from June to August 2020. The experiment was arranged in a factorial using a randomized block design. The first factor is the manure dosage consisting of 0 and 10 tons / ha, while the second factor is the NPK fertilizer dosage consisting of 0, 50, 150, 250, and 350 kg / ha. The experiment was repeated 3 times in order to obtain 30 experimental units. The variables observed were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), leaf area (cm2), stem diameter (mm) and vitamin C content (%). Observation data will be analyzed with ANOVA 5% followed by the BNJ 5% test to determine the differences between treatments. The results showed that there was no significant interaction between the dosage treatment of goat manure and NPK fertilizer on all observation variables. Meanwhile, the manure dose treatment showed a significant effect on the variable weight of tomato fruit.

Shrimp farming is an aquaculture activity with complex environmental and social issues that must be solved in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. This study aims to review the concept of multi-stakeholder partnership in the context of shrimp farming. In this study, a qualitative literature review was conducted using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyse (PRISMA) framework within the scientific literature. Based on the defined inclusion and exclusion criteria, 4 of 17 studies published between 2010 and 2020 were selected to review further, referring to the concept of multi-stakeholder partnership in aquaculture, taking into account social-ecological system framework management. Our review revealed that multi-stakeholder partnerships allegedly become the problem solver since the complex problem can be neither understood nor addressed by only a single organization or actor involved in shrimp farming. Multi-stakeholder partnership, in which government – business – public (including farmers) are involved, will have an essential meaning in solving complex problems in shrimp farming through sharing in planning, decision making, and activities goals among them.
